Because of You - Chapter 1 (An Introduction)

Justin squinted in the dark, he was pretty sure the clock said 2:13, he was definetly sure that he couldn't sleep. He was having a hard time adjusting to college life, more than he thought he would. Nights had always been hard for him, even at 18, the memories of his parents fighting and late night abuse still haunted him...

He could vividly describe a fight between his mother and step-father if asked, recall words, actions, when the first tears fell, it was always fresh in his mind. He was fourteen the first time, when his step-father's loud, menacing voice woke him up. He walked out of his room, stared down the hallway and through the crack of his parent's door he could see them arguing, screaming. After that, it was normal, he adjusted.

When he was fifteen it got worse, his step-father never came home, and when he did it was a drunken stupor they were met with. That's when then abuse started, Justin could hear them, arguing, then silence...then tears. He knew, he wanted to be a man and defend his mother, but he was scared, so he hid. By the time he was sixteen his mother had gotten smart and she began to work at night. Justin was old enough to watch his two brothers, and she wouldn't have to deal with her husband's rage.

He was sixteen, barely sixteen when his step-father first hit him. It was just a slap at first, knocking him around to find out where his wife was, where Justin's mother was. No answer was right though, and soon the slaps turned to punches, always to the temple, to the gut, to the arms, clothes covered those bruises. Justin didn't say a word, he finally felt like he was protecting her.

The memories were tough, especially at 2:13 in the morning. He dealt with them on the inside, because he couldn't externalize them. Speaking, vocalizing didn't seem like an option, not to friends he didn't have and a roommate he barely knew. Instead he just held his eyes tight, hoping that with darkness, sleep would take over.

"Justin, man, shut your fucking alarm off." Nick, Justin's roommate tossed pillow after pillow at Justin, until finally the curly haired boy pushed the button. Sleep had come to him and now he was finding it hard to come out from it. "Fuck man, you want me to lose my mind this early?"

Nick tended to exaggerate, but he was right, Justin didn't want to make an enemy out of a potential friend. "Sorry Nick, just tired, couldn't sleep."

"You need to get some then, fuck a tight pussy, that will knock you the fuck out man." Nick laughed and Justin just ignored him. His language was crude, not that Justin minded, but he saw no reason for fuck and pussy to be used by someone so often. (unless of course, it was just fantasy and not a reality)

Justin looked at the clcok, in the light it was easy to read...8:45. His first class started in twenty minutes, the walk was ten, which gave him exactly ten minutes to shower and prepare for the day. Jumping out of bed he undressed and grabbed a towel, quickly wrapping it around his waist. He had never understood why some people were so comfortable being naked in front of others, it just wans't for him.

Opening the door he walked down the hall of the dorms, heading towards the showers. It was early, some people were up, but most of the doors were closed. Walking in, he hung his towel on the hook of a stall and then stepped in, pulling the curtain shut. As the warm water hit his body he relaxed, not something he could enjoy often.

The heat always cleared his head, always made him think back. After the beatings became regular Justin had accustomed to them, built up a pain tolerance, until his step-father noticed. One day in July, when his mother hadn't been home in over a week, his step-father found him cleaning the dishes and just watched. Justin grew tense with every minute that passed, very much aware of the penetrating eyes. The taunts came, Justin took them, ignored them, he knew he was a man, cleaning dishes didn't change that.

But when his step-father was barreling him down into the tile floor, wripping his clothes off, the taunts could go ignored no farther. Justin wrestled with the bigger, older man to no avail, and while he laid their, cold, naked he drifted to a different place, his body, remained pinned to the floor, it's final form of abuse.

After about five minutes in the shower Justin turned off the water and opened the curtain, wrapping his towel around his waist he walked over to the mirror to check himself. He would brush his teeth on the walk, he always passed a water fountain and he could rinse there. He liked those kind of rituals. Clearing himself in the mirror he turned to walk out of the room, but was stopped.

"Hey man, hang on a sec." Justin turend to see a naked student standing beside him, and immediately he blushed. The student saw it in a second. "What ya blushing for man? I'm the one standing here naked."

Justin fumbled with words and couldn't find any to say.

"Sorry man, it's just, I forgot my towel, do you think I could dry off with yours? I mean, I'll walk back to my room naked, I just wanna be dry." Justin couldn't say a word, instead he stared, pondering the thought of this guy walking naked all the way back to his dorm room. Justin eyed him up, he was handsome, defined, he was hot, and then he blushed again.

"Well man....please?"

"Uh, yeah, uh I guess." Justin said nervously, pulling his towel off and handing it to the stranger.

"Thanks man, name's Wade." Justin stared blankly at the hand extended to him, before realizing it was meant for him to shake.

"Um, Justin."

"Thanks for the towel Justin, I really appriciate it." Wade handed the towel back to Justin and then stared for himself. Besides the beauty that Justin possessed capturing his eyes, their was more. "Whoa man, what the hell happend to you?"

Justin blushed, wrapped the towel around his body and turned to walk out of the shower, he did not like to answer questions.

"Um, uh, sorry man, none of my business. Well hey, it was nice meeting you Justin, you're a really nice guy." Wade said, feeling awkward for having asked, and then he headed out of the room in front of Justin, and sure enough Justin followed and Wade walked all the way to his room naked, Justin, not knowing how someone could do that.

When he got to his room Nick was fast asleep again, already fourty minutes late for his first class. Justin just laughed and threw on some clothes then headed out the door.

After it was over Justin lay on the floor, the tears he had cried had no dried to the floor and he could feel both his own blood and his step-father's cum leaking on his leg. He lay there for what seemed like hours, the dark of the night piercing the kitchen window, he was alone.

When his strength came back to him, he got up, threw his clothes in the garbage, jumped in the shower and went to bed. He didn't sleep, instead he waited, hoping for morning so that he could get through another day. And so the days passed like that, each one just a moment to get him to a destination, that destination ultimately became college. A yearning to get free from the house that defiled him to a free world.

Each day passed with similar events, by the time he graduated he could no longer remember how many times his step-father had used him for pleasure. He could not count the brusied ribs or sore muscles, at some point he had stopped trying. The summer after his graduation his step-father died in a car accident, his mother moved to Tenessee to be with her family and Justin went to college early, getting a dorm for the summer, the summer he had tried to forget everything. For the most part, he was doing a good job now that school had started.

As he walked the path it was all familiar now, the way to get to class, shorcuts, what to eat and what not to eat. He was making habits and that was calming to him, he insisted to himself that he had worked through the problems, worked through the grief and depression. Now he was in a new phase of his life, one he would enjoy and get the most of.
