Living With Fran is the property of the WB. The actors in this story are straight and this is not to imply otherwise. This is a fantasy for those readers who are 18 and over. The first chapter is just preparation, mainly. If you want to see more, then e-mail me and I will write another chapter.

When Fran got a new, younger lover, she worried about what her children might think. After all, she was in her late 40's and Riley was only in his late 20's. He was almost in the age range of her son, Josh. Josh had always felt insecure, and being kicked out of medical school and disowned by his father only made him more defeated than ever.

The tall, blonde, buff Riley and the short, somewhat doughy, Jewish Josh would seem to have little in common, and indeed, they didn't. But Riley honestly did want to bond with his almost-stepson, and over basketball games, beers, and endless hours in front of the video game console, they finally began to bond.

But Josh became distant and moody, worse than ever, and planned to move out of the house. Fran was devastated, and Riley was angry and upset. Riley asked Fran to take her bratty daughter and go to the movies for a few hours so he could talk to Josh.

He found Josh in his room, packing.

"Don't come any closer, Riley."

Riley defiantly walked towards the younger man.

"I've tried to play it cool, and be your pal. That isn't working. We're gonna have to settle this, Josh. Man to man."

Josh winced.

"You're gonna beat me up? I'm a hemopheliac, you know. Heavy bleeding."

Riley rolled his eyes.

"No...I'm not gonna beat you up. I want to talk. An adult talk."

Reluctantly, Josh sat down on the bed. Riley noticed his very nervous body language.

"Josh, I want to be your friend. If anything is going on with you, anything you need to tell me, that you don't want your mothe to know, that's what I'm here for. I'm not your father, but..."

"Thank God you're not my father, I have enough problems with him," Josh stammered.

Riley sympathetically squeezed Josh's shoulder, and Josh recoiled.

"Josh, what the...?"

"Don't make me do this, Riley! Please!"

Josh was so panicked that Riley decided to take the bait. He'd been in his share of fights. If Josh took a swing at him, he could duck, or block. He just wanted Josh to calm down.

"Do it, Josh. I'm a man. I can take it."

Josh leapt on Riley's and much to his surprise, kissed him. Riley had never been intimate with a man before and the roughness and desperation in Josh's touch was odd. But...not awful. Josh pulled away. He began to choke out his words through tears.

"Riley, don't you see? I love you. I've always wondered why I don't really get along well with girls. Now I know. You make me feel so happy, Riley. I see you and I want to touch you and taste you. That's just wrong. You're my mother's boyfriend. I'm scum. I have to go."

Josh ran out of the house. Riley paused for a moment, but then grabbed his coat and followed. He got down the stairs when he suddenly heard an awful squealing of tires and a dull thud. Someone had been in an accident!
