*The Coming Days
A new evil has risen from the ashes of the fallen Brotherhood; an evil known as the Marauders. Similar to the Brotherhood, they are a group of mutants who wish to rule as Homo Sapien Superior. However, instead of a world were all mutant reign supreme, they wish for only select mutants to rule, while the other live lowly lives. The strongest will be the leaders.
The brother hood fell in an all out war with the X-Men, however the X-Men did not escape the battle unscathed; they lost some of their greatest warriors along with young mutants new to the struggle: Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Professor X, Pixie and Banshee to name a few. The mansion, a place where hope could be given to those coming into their powers, was also lost. After it was over, with no place to go, many of the X-Men left to attempt to live a normal life. The few who stayed however rebuilt. They rebuilt not only the mansion but also the dream that came with it.
*Four Years Later
Monroe's Academy for the Exceptional has filled the missing place that Xavier's Institute once had. However, a few changes had to be made. The obvious is the name of the school. Although they wanted to keep the original, the rise of Purist groups threatened the school seeing as how most knew of the location. Purist groups would be all over the school if they had not moved. The school is now located in the Mountains of the Alps. New Mutants are being brought in to be help in the progress of their powers. The school, now led by Storm, is flourishing more so than the previous.
After long discussions, the X-Men have decided to come out of hiding and carry on the dream of mutants and humans living together peacefully. In the coming days, the X-Men will be announcing their allegiance with the humans at a rally being held in New York. Meanwhile, they are training a few new recruits. Those who wish to fight alongside the X-Men. They too will be joining in on the trip.
These are the days leading up to the rally. How will the new mutants fair? Time shall tell.
