A Kingswood Family Christmas
Chapter 7
Wednesday 28 December 2022
In his time at Kingswood, Danny had been awoken by many things – screams, pillows being thrown at him, cum shot over his face, an annoyingly-early alarm and the occasional fart. Today he was woken by one of his favourite things – a kiss! Even with consciousness barely kicking in he knew it was Chris. The eagerness, the unpleasant-but-not-awful morning breath, the hand gently cupping his cheek, the smell of his favourite shower gel and deodorant. It was all undeniably him, so Danny let out a happy mew into his mouth and started kissing back.
He allowed it to continue for a few minutes, happily enjoying Chris' body pressed against his own, totally unaware of the time or anything else happening around them. When Chris finally pulled back, Danny frowned a little as he croaked, "Why are you awake before me? Did something happen?"
"Yes, someone died, and I decided you needed to know, but not until we'd made out for ten minutes first!" Chris replied sarcastically.
As Danny's eyes narrowed in pretended annoyance, he shook his head and said, "You're lucky I love you!"
"I really am!" Chris said, sighing wistfully as he stared down into his boyfriend's eyes.
Danny stared back for a moment, reached up to stroke a finger through Chris' hair then raised his head to deliver another quick kiss before he asked, "But seriously, what's up?"
Chris sighed contentedly at the affectionate peck. "Just wanted to make sure everyone was up in time to get the last story in. Rob's leaving pretty early!" he explained softly.
"Aww," Danny pouted, sad at the thought of everyone going home. "But yay for more story!" he added with a grin. "How long have we got?" he asked curiously.
"Not long!" Rob's voice suddenly intruded.
Danny's head shot up and he stared across the room to find Mark, Josh, Rob, David, Nicky and Mikey all sat along the two bunks, watching them. He blushed a little as he sat up, slapped Chris' arm gently and said, "You coulda told me they were waiting!"
"Yeah, but watching you two make out was hot!" Mikey sniggered. As a few of the others looked round at him with eyebrows raised, he shrugged and added an unashamed, "I said what I said!"
"Anyway, pervy roommates aside," Chris smirked as he moved into a sitting position and grabbed his tablet, "Who's ready for part seven?"
There was a collective cheer from everyone else, including Danny who sat up and nestled against Chris' side.
"So this one's kinda different. It's... well I suppose it' still a story but it tells it through, like... inner monologue!" Chris explained.
Rob leaned to the side and whispered loudly to Josh, "Inner monologue means the thoughts inside your own head!"
"I knew that!" Josh snapped to his best friend, then leaned to his other side and whispered to Mark, "I didn't know that!"
Mark sniggered as he nudged Josh playfully.
"Anyway," Chris said as he looked down at the screen, "Featuring the one and only Rob Wilson, I'm proud to present..."
A Chris-mas Carol Part 7 – The Drive
Monday 27 August 2040
Parenthood has been an eye-opening experience. Wait, no, scratch that. Adulthood has been an eye-opening experience. Being a parent is just one of the ways I've come to see the world so amazingly differently. It feels like barely yesterday I was sitting in the back of the car, nagging my parents for running late, convinced it was going to mess up my entire future at my new school. It feels almost impossible to think that was twenty-one years ago!
As it turns out, being late was probably the best thing to ever happen to me. If I'd been at Kingswood any earlier, I might have ended up on a different bunk, getting close to a different person and ended up with a different best friend. Fortunately, things went the way they did and I got Josh!
That means Josh has been in my life for over two decades. That would certainly explain those odd grey hairs I've found! I swear, that guy may be my best friend, but damn him if he isn't the most stressful part of my life too... and I've got two husbands and three kids, so that's REALLY saying something!
I guess I have Kingswood to thank for more than just Josh. I went in there a chubby little know-it-all boy and came out a (slightly neurotic but very self-aware) well-educated, well-rounded young man with a plethora of friends and two boyfriends who would eventually go on to become my husbands! It still seems weird to think that I met Luke first and dated just him, as it feels impossible to imagine a time before Jazz (the person, not the musical genre... and despite his protests, I will continue to make that joke for the rest of our lives). When you start dating someone at just thirteen years old, you KNOW it's forever. The thought that it might not be doesn't even enter your mind. The sad fact is, it rarely is, but in our case it actually happened. We beat the odds and here we are, a big, beautiful, chaotic, dysfunctional family.
Anyway, I guess I'm getting a bit off topic here, not that there's really a point to this but still, I should backtrack. Adulthood. Parenthood. Robin Hood. No, just the first two. They changed me, but that's what life is – change. Kingswood changed me so much, and while I'm delighted to say the number of major dramas in my life has dropped significantly since I left, life after Kingswood has continued to change me.
The day me and Jazz met up with Luke at University and we realised our relationship had survived the time apart, had survived the distance, that was really the day we realised what we had and how special it was. From there it's just seemed like milestone after milestone. Graduation, the proposal, my first job, the wedding, my first company, the first kid, the second kid, the third kid... no more kids please! From there, it seemed the milestones were all theirs. First steps, first words, first day at kindergarten, first day at school (and repeat it all two more times for the other two!)
I guess that brings us on to today, on to the next big milestone and the thing that's got me reminiscing. Last month our eldest, Lucy, turned twelve, but today's all about Taylor, our middle child. He turns twelve next month but for now he's eleven and about to start at his new school – the Kingswood School for Boys! We never planned for him to go there, but certain things came up, certain things that made us realise he was... compatible with the school's ideology. Our youngest, Kamaljeet, he'll be starting secondary school next year and we don't think he's likely to end up there, but Taylor seemed like a good fit.
Growing up with our (censored/edited) tales of our school days, as well as the many stories shared by his Uncle Josh, Taylor was surprisingly okay with the thought of going away to boarding school. I was not! I guess I was always a bit possessive and over-protective so it's no real surprise I'm like that as a father too. It took some convincing, but ultimately I knew it was right for Taylor anyway.
The drive today has been harder than I thought it would be, and it's really made me think back to my own first day. I had been so caught up in my own feelings about going to Kingswood that I never even stopped to think how hard that day must have been for mum and dad. I thought mum was being a bit silly when she insisted I bring a pack of tissues today... but the closer we get the more I realise I'm probably going to need them!
Not gonna lie, I've genuinely considered turning this car around and just going home an embarrassing number of times. He's my baby boy and once he gets out of this car, that's it, he's a Kingswood student for the next seven years, and god knows what he'll go on to be after that!
There it is, the front gate. It'd be quite easy to miss. With the woods surrounding the school grounds, you could probably drive past this place and never even know it was there. Maybe I should! Oops, I missed the gate, oh well, we'd best go home! Can't quite see it working. Luke's already giving me wicked side-eye. I swear it's like he can read my thoughts sometimes. Blink twice if you can read my thoughts! He didn't blink, okay, then he just knows me well! I guess twenty years will have that kind of effect. He knows this is hard for me though, it's hard for him too, but we'll get through it together. The three of us can face anything life throws at us, god knows we had enough practice back in our Kingswood days.
Well here we go! Jesus this driveway takes me back. I remember one time back when I was sixteen...
Ugh, sorry, totally lost what I was about to say there. We just got into the main grounds and it kinda shook me cos it's all still there. The Home Building and the School Building and all the others. It looks exactly as I remember it. Shut up, I'm not crying, you're crying! I can't do this. I can't let him go. I can't go two months without seeing my boy. It's impossible. It's literally impossible. Ugh, I can't, but I have to.
This was the hardest drive of my life... and it's over!
"Welcome to Kingswood, Taylor!"
"Awwww!" Josh suddenly called out, sniffing a little. "So him and Luke and Jazz have kids and one of them comes here. That is SO cool!"
As the rest of the group chuckled at Josh's reaction, all attention turned to Rob. It had become customary for the story's star to give the first feedback, despite Josh's eager proclamation.
Rob was silent for a few moments, nodding gently as he stared over at Chris. Letting out a content sigh, he smiled and said, "I really like that, and... honestly, it's a bit annoying how well you showed my inner thoughts. That... actually sounded like me most of the time!"
<<Maybe Chris is psychic. Maybe he heard Rob's thoughts and stole them. Thought stealer! He's a witch. Burn him!>>
"I'm not burning him!" Mikey declared, getting some very confused looks from the rest of the group. "Never mind," he said, blushing a little.
<<Wow... smooth!>>
"You okay?" Nicky whispered to Mikey, but just got a dismissive shrug in return.
"I'm really glad you liked it," Chris said with an obvious tone of relief.
"So where's yours?" Danny asked, cocking his head curiously as he reached out to scroll on the device, wondering where part eight of the story was.
<<Maybe Chris can read YOUR thoughts too. Maybe he can hear ME! Hey Chris, if you can hear me, get your dick out!>>
"I don't need one," Chris replied with a slight headshake. "I mean... I got to show up in most of yours, so... that's plenty of Chris to go around!"
<<Maybe he's not getting his dick out cos he doesn't want me to know he can hear me! Okay, if you can hear me, DON'T get your dick out!>>
"Aww, there's always room for more Chris!" Mark said with a cheesy grin.
<<Ha. See! No dick, he can totally hear me! Burn him. Stab him. Wait, no, don't. I know you're a little psychopath and I don't want you blaming me when you finally prove it to the world!>>
"It wasn't mean!" Mikey suddenly blurted out.
"Has he been drinking?" Rob asked, shaking his head at an apparent second non sequitur.
Mikey scowled at Rob, then looked to Chris and said curiously, "In the story, I mean. When the voice in his head was talking, it was... well, it wasn't being mean!"
Even with the elaboration, most of the boys were still a little confused by the point he was apparently trying to make.
"Well, no," Chris said, shaking his head. "That was just... like... Rob... thinking to himself!" he explained.
<<Wow, he sounds like a crazy person. Maybe you SHOULD stab him! Ugh, okay, no, we don't like stabbing. Just... call him a twat or something, or a cunt. Fucker. Arsehole. Wanker. Tosspot. Scummy wankbag!>>
Mikey recoiled a little at the statement, shrinking back down beside Nicky with a look of mild confusion as normal conversation resumed around him.
<<Shitface. Cock. Dickhead. Fucker. Arsehole. Cunt. Fucker. Cuntfucker!>>
Nicky felt Mikey pull tighter against his side and heard a gentle whimper from him. He just held him tightly.
"But most of the others aren't leaving til this afternoon," Rob whined to his parents. "Why do we have to go so early?" he demanded.
"We just do, okay!" Mr Wilson said, rolling his eyes a little at the renewed round of complaining. Rob had already voiced his objections the previous day after being told the time they intended to leave, and the complaints had picked right back up (several times) that morning.
"But it's not fair!" Rob pouted.
"Oh god, just tell him!" Mrs Wilson huffed, shaking her head.
"Tell me what? What's happening?" Rob asked, mildly alarmed at the realisation something had been kept from him.
"Well first of all, you should know this is all your brother's idea!" Mr Wilson said, nodding to Milo who stopped with a spoonful of cornflakes halfway into his mouth.
"You!" Rob growled at his little brother. "What did you do now?" he said moodily.
"We're going home early and dropping your mum and brother off," Mr Wilson started. He could see Rob begin to complain again, so he raised a hand to signal for silence as he smiled and added, "Because we've got a lot of driving to do!"
"We... do?" Rob asked, looking a little confused.
"Well yes," Mr Wilson nodded. "I mean, if we're driving all the way to Jazz's house AND Luke's and getting back home at a decent hour, we need an early start!"
"Why would we..." Rob started, then finally caught on. "We're... we're going to... are they... Jazz and Luke..."
"Yes, they're coming to stay with us for the rest of the Christmas break!" Mr Wilson said with a smile, sniggering at the look of absolute bewilderment on his son's face.
Milo finally resumed moving, filling his mouth with cornflakes. As he pulled the sppon from his mouth, he said a muffled, "Oh my gohh, I think Wob's about to cwy!"
"Don't talk with your mouthful," Mrs Wilson scolded the boy.
Milo swallowed then gave a devilish grin as he said, "That's probably something you should be telling Rob!"
"Milo!" Mrs Wilson snapped, blushing a little. "And you, don't encourage him!" she said pointedly as she slapped her sniggering husband's arm.
As their parents began to quietly squabble, Rob moved round the table and sat down beside Milo as he asked quietly, "This was your idea?"
Milo shrugged as he whispered, "Well I figured if you're busy with them you might stay the fuck outta my sex life!" As he got an incredulous look back from his big brother, he blushed a little and said, "Okay fine, I appreciate you apologising for the Ivan thing and yeah, you were a total cunt about it all, but... I dunno, I guess I probably shouldn't have slept with your friend without checking with you first. Bros before hos or whatever! This makes us even, I s'pose!"
"I guess it does," Rob said with a gentle smirk. "So... if it's not too embarrassing to be seen doing it with your big brother..." he said as he held out his arms for a hug.
"Screw what anyone else thinks!" Milo said bluntly as he unashamedly hugged Rob.
"Y'know," Finn said with a smirk as he felt Danny' arms wrap around him, "If we have to stop for hugs every single lap, we're gonna be here all day!"
Danny let out a disgruntled moan. Staying in the pool all day with Finn actually sounded wonderful, especially if it meant he couldn't leave, but he also knew he didn't have long left with Chris or any of the others either. "Can't everyone just, like... stay here for another week?" he pouted.
Finn raised his hand to muss the mop of water-darkened blonde hair hanging over his shoulder as the younger boy cuddled him from behind. "Sorry mister," he said sympathetically.
Danny sighed as he released Finn and they started slowly swimming the length of the pool once again. It was bad enough that Rob (and Milo) had left early, but David and his dads had gone not long after. Similar to the plan for Rob, David's dads had arranged to pick James up on the way home so the two boys could spend the next week together, though David wouldn't actually know about it until they got there.
"Just think, they all get to have a nice week with their families or their boyfriends or whatever and then you all get to come back here and be all... happy to see each other or whatever," Finn tried to cheer Danny up. "You guys seem to spend most of your day looking for excuses to hug, so... y'know... coming back just seems like a perfect opportunity!"
"You're not funny," Danny grumbled.
"Who says I was joking?" Finn muttered back, smirking to himself until Danny scowled at him.
"But it won't be just US coming back after New Year," Danny said, shaking his head as they reached the end of the pool and kicked off to swim back the other way.
"Oh. Is that... bad?" Finn asked curiously.
Danny just let out a low grumble but didn't reply.
As they reached the other end of the pool still in silence, Finn felt Danny grab onto him once again. "Okay, enough," he said firmly as he ducked under the water, slipping out of Danny's grasp. As he came up, he grasped Danny's hips and hoisted him up, lifting him to sit on the side of the pool and grunted, "Oof, you're heavier than you look!" He promptly moved to the side and jumped out too, quickly climbing to his feet before reaching down to lift Danny by his armpits and make him stand.
"Rude," Danny scowled, then suddenly grinned. "Ooh, are we going for sex? Did Molly REALLY dump you so now we're going to celebrate... I mean... commiserate!" Danny said, smirking a little.
"No. THAT'S rude!" Finn said, shaking his head. "And no, we're not going for sex, we're going over here!" he said as he pushed Danny over to a bench, shoved him gently and ordered, "Sit!"
"Ooooooh. Taking charge. I like it!" Danny smirked, then watched as Finn sat at his side, not smiling. "What?" he asked nervously.
Finn just stared.
"Seriously, what?" Danny asked, his humour and bravado dripping away like the little rivulets of water trailing down his body.
"Talk to me," Finn said softly.
"About what?" Danny asked with an evasive shrug.
Finn reached out and took Danny's hand. "Everything!" he said with a sullen nod.
Danny rolled his eyes and started, "There's not really anything worth..."
"STOP!" Finn interrupted, glaring disapprovingly. "I'm not having this anymore. We're sitting here until you talk!"
Danny huffed and went to stand as he began, "You can't make..."
"I can!" Finn snapped, grabbing Danny to hold him down.
"Get off!" Danny snarled, pulling away, though Finn's fist clamped tightly around his wrist to hold him back.
"Danny, please," Finn pleaded, staring at the younger boy.
Danny stared back, breathing heavily as he felt it all welling up. "Everything?" he asked shakily.
"Everything!" Finn said back softly as he released Danny's wrist and stroked his back instead.
"This may take a while," Danny said weakly.
"I've got as long as you need!" Finn insisted.
"Not that I'm complaining," Nicky said with a smirk, pausing to let out a shuddery groan of pleasure, "But what was... so urgent... ahh fuck yes... about doing this right now?" He looked down at Mikey who had half of Nicky's thirty-centimetre cock in his mouth.
"Hss muh lsss chnsss!" Mikey spoke back, muffled by the sizeable schlong.
"Yeah, I didn't catch that!" Nicky laughed, then gripped tightly onto the bedding beneath him as he felt Mikey's tongue swirl around the head of his dick as it was pulled from his mouth.
"I said," Mikey started, grinning up at Nicky, "Hss muh lsss chsss. Was that not clear?"
Nicky laughed at the comment. Mikey's more entertaining side normally showed itself in the form of brutal but sincere honesty that could catch people by surprise. Hearing him be deliberately funny without insulting someone was strange... but sweet. Ever since his heart-to-heart with his parents the previous day, his mood had been great, though he had been a little bit clingy. Thankfully, they had the rest of the week for Mikey to be as clingy as he wanted, as he was coming to spend the rest of the school break in the Jones household. "You're not funny!" Nicky said, shaking his head.
"That'd be more believable if you hadn't actually laughed!" Mikey sniggered. "Anyway, just cos I'm sucking you doesn't mean you can just sit there!" he said as he shuffled round, "Little dicks need lovin' too!"
"It's not little!" Nicky insisted, eyeing up Mikey's cock, standing at a decently sized fifteen centimetres.
"By comparison!" Mikey said before plunging back down to take even more of Nicky's giant cock into his mouth.
"Fuck!" Nicky grunted before a buck of Mikey's hips reminded him of what he was supposed to be doing. He swirled his tongue around the tip of Mikey's dick, then down the side of his shaft until it met the small patch of ginger pubes, then back up again. Feeling the slight vibration of a chuckle from Mikey's mouth around his own penis, Nicky happily wrapped his lips around Mikey's.
It started out slow and relaxed, both boys enjoying the sixty-nine at a leisurely pace until one of them sped up slightly. In an unspoken challenge, the other matched pace, then went just a tiny bit faster. Once again the challenge was met and exceeded and before they knew it, both boys were ravenously sucking at each other, their heads bobbing back and forth at a rapid pace as their tongues and lips worked away at each other's dick.
"Mmm nnnh mmmhhh!" Mikey began to groan. Despite the fact Nicky's cock had received more attention, Mikey was first to cum, happily ejecting his load into his best friend's throat with no warning beyond the tensing of his penis.
Nicky was more than happy to swallow the spunk, seemingly stimulated sufficiently by the spurting semen to start shooting his own sizeable load. Mikey eagerly reciprocated, gradually getting used to swallowing, though he only did it for his partner's pleasure, still not finding any direct enjoyment in the act.
"You won!" Mikey groaned as they rolled away from each other, panting a little.
"Yeah I did!" Nicky said contentedly. He reached his hand out to the side and stroked Mikey's smooth stomach and asked "So come on, why the sudden need for this? The drive home isn't that long!"
"Actually," Mikey said, sitting up to twist round and cuddle down next to Nicky the same way round, "That's... that's the problem, that's what I was saying before with my mouth full. This is my last chance, because... I'm not coming home with you!"
Nicky recoiled slightly, lifting his head to look down at Mikey with concern. "Is this... about yesterday?" he asked cautiously.
Mikey nodded, but gave a timid smile as he explained, "It is, but... it's not a bad thing!"
Nicky sat up and turned to sit facing Mikey cross-legged, his meaty cock still not fully deflated, resting wetly on his leg.
Mikey sat up to mirror his position, his own cock equally inflated, but substantially smaller. He reached down to give his dick a gentle flick then reached out to slap Nicky's playfully. He let out a sigh and raised his gaze to meet Nicky's as he said, "I told you before... I think there's something wrong with me and... well now I've told my mum and dad, they... kind of agree."
"So they're not letting you come home with me? That's stupid!" Nicky scowled angrily.
"No, this was... my idea!" Mikey said, shaking his head, "I wanna go home with them because... I think we have more to talk about, but also... I wanna... I dunno, start figuring out what really IS wrong with me!"
Nicky thought for a moment then bobbed his head.
"I have... a feeling," Mikey started, pausing to frown contemplatively "That I've got... a LOT to work on and you're totally gonna be part of that, but I think I need to take the first step on my own! I hope you're not mad!"
Nicky's shoulders slumped a little as he tilted his head to look at Mikey sympathetically. "Mad? Definitely not. I think it's amazing that you're doing that. I totally understand!" he said supportively.
Mikey smiled and sniffled slightly as he said, "I'm gonna miss you! I know it's only, like... five days or whatever, but..."
Nicky lunged forward and pulled Mikey into a hug as he declared, "I'm gonna miss you too!"
"Hey there," Mr Rudd said as he approached the bench Mark was sitting on.
Mark almost jumped clear of the seat but quickly composed himself as he looked round to see the teacher. "Oh, hey sir," he said with a polite smile as the man sat beside him.
"How you doing?" Mr Rudd asked casually, barely concealing the look of concern at the way the antsy boy had jumped.
Mark nodded down the main driveway and said, "Nicky and his parents just left, Mikey and his lot went right before them." He nodded to the Home Building behind him, which housed the medical facility Josh had spent most of past few months in and added, "Josh is in there for his daily check-up! I think I saw Danny and Chris..." he paused, looking round curiously, then shrugged as he finished, "...somewhere. I dunno!"
"Interesting," Mr Rudd said with a thoughtful nod, "Although the question was how are YOU doing?"
"Oh," Mark said a little shyly, adding a gentle chuckle, "Yeah, I'm... I'm good!"
"That... jump might suggest otherwise," Mr Rudd said, raising an eyebrow.
"You... you just... caught me by surprise!" Mark lied, then immediately let out a gentle groan as he said, "You really don't believe that, do you?"
Mr Rudd smirked slightly as he asked, "SHOULD I believe it?"
"No," Mark pouted, letting his shoulders slump as he slid down a little in his seat. "I'm okay though," he insisted, "Just... a bit anxious, that's all!"
"I'd say that's pretty understandable," Mr Rudd replied with an agreeable head bob.
"When Dr Arkwright gets back, I'm gonna make an appointment to talk to him about everything and see what he recommends!" Mark stated confidently.
Mr Rudd's eyes widened in what looked like genuine surprise, though he held back from expressing it as he smiled and said, "That sounds like a very mature move!"
Mark shrugged and said, "I just wanna be okay so I'm there if..." He paused mid-sentence as he realised he was looking unsubtly round at the Home Building. Blushing a little, he looked back ahead and finished, "If anyone needs me!"
"That's admirable," Mr Rudd nodded, "But remember sometimes you need to look after yourself first!"
"Oh, yeah, totally that too," Mark said, nodding emphatically. "I... had issues before with... someone I used to know and I put off dealing with that until I started getting even more stressed from knowing I wasn't dealing with it. I don't wanna go there again with this!"
"Smart move. Well you know I'm always around if you need to have a chat about any of it, or anything at all really!" Mr Rudd explained.
"Thank you, sir," Mark said with a sincere smile. He looked thoughtful for a moment and went to speak, but stopped himself, shrinking inwards a little.
"What is it?" Mr Rudd asked softly.
"I... was wondering... what was happening with Mark, umm... the other Mark... Tate... whatever he's calling himself!" Mark said shakily.
"Ah," Mr Rudd said, nodding gently as he paused for a few moments, taking a deep breath. "Actually, I was wanting to talk to Josh about this first!"
"Talk to me about what?" Josh suddenly called out from behind them.
Mr Rudd jumped slightly, but Mark launched off the bench, staggered a little and tumbled to the ground, panting heavily.
"Oh, sorry," Josh immediately pouted, rushing round to help Mark up, "I didn't think!"
"It's okay," Mark said, blushing at his tumble as he brushed himself off.
"Sorry," Josh repeated timidly, then looked to Mr Rudd and asked, "What did you want to tell me?"
"Oh, you might want to, umm... maybe we should..." the teacher said, giving Mark a cautious glance.
Josh shrugged and said, "Well if you said you need to tell me first then it's probably something you'd be telling him... umm... second?! So save time and do us both at once!" He gave a slight chuckle, though he clearly looked anxious at the prospect of news.
"Okay," Mr Rudd nodded, actually glad that Josh would have a little more support for this. He held out his arm and Josh sat down between the two of them. Mr Rudd shifted round a little to face the two teens more directly and started, "So there's a couple of bits of news. Mark... Tate, I mean, he's still in hospital..."
"Good!" Josh scowled.
Mr Rudd sighed gently. It was hard to disagree with the boy. Nodding a little he went on, "He... hasn't actually woken up yet. The... the defensive blow..."
"You mean when Mark wrapped a laptop around his fucking head!" Josh said with a wicked grin.
Mr Rudd frowned a little and saw Mark wince at the obviously-unwelcome memory. "Yes, that," he started. "It appears it may have done a fair bit of damage. They really just... don't know his prognosis quite yet. If – or when – he does wake up, he'll be arrested and not just for what he did here and breaching the injunction to stay away from you, but he also allegedly assaulted some other people before coming here!"
"What happened?" Josh asked curiously.
Mr Rudd paused again, his eyes flitting back and forth between Mark and Josh. As his gaze settled on the smaller boy, he said, "That was actually the thing I wanted to tell you first, Josh."
Josh recoiled slightly, pressing back against Mark a little for comfort. He felt an arm slip around him which he gripped onto tightly.
"It appears... the thing that set him off, that basically started his whole assault and coming here," Mr Rudd said, pausing as he was unsure exactly how Josh was about to react, "Josh, it's about your brother... about Ryan. He... he took his own life on Christmas Day. He's dead, Josh."
It felt like the breeze around them stopped dead, like a vacuum of stillness and silence wrapped around them as the words settled in.
"Oh, umm... okay," Josh said with a gentle nod.
Mark and Mr Rudd exchanged glances, remaining silent a little longer.
"Well... that's... actually, I don't know what that is!" Josh said, shaking his head thoughtfully.
"I'm sorry to just drop it on you like that," Mr Rudd said apologetically. "Especially so soon after what happened. I just... well, we thought you should know so you can decide if you want to go to his funeral!"
"When is it?" Josh asked flatly.
Mr Rudd shook his head and replied, "We don't know yet. Wait times can be long, especially at this time of year, but I can let you know as soon as we find out!"
"Okay," Josh nodded.
"Are you okay," Mark asked, feeling Josh's fingers still gripping tightly onto his arm.
Josh glanced round at Mark as his brow furrowed. He nodded for a moment and said, "Yeah, I... I think so!"
"Might just take some time to sink in," Mr Rudd explained.
"Thank you for telling me," Josh said to Mr Rudd with a smile. "Shall we head inside now before Mark nags me for being out in the cold?"
Mark gasped playfully as he pulled back. "I do NOT nag. I... just tell you what to do when you're doing the wrong thing and keep repeating it until you do what I want!" Mark said with a snigger as he stood up.
"That DOES sound a lot like nagging!" Mr Rudd said with a hint of a shrug.
"Wow, well I think we know whose side you're on!" Mark said back jokingly as they started heading back towards the building.
"Oh... my... god!" Chris gasped, breathing heavily as he gripped tightly onto the arms wrapped around him. He let out a gentle moan of contentment as he felt Danny start peppering his neck and shoulders with delicate kisses, a slowly softening cock still inside him. "I don't know... if I'm gonna... be able to walk... after that," he panted in shocked amusement.
Danny stopped kissing Chris' neck for a moment, let out a low growl and bit at his shoulder instead. It wasn't intended to hurt, he was just being playful as he gently pressed his teeth into Chris' skin for a few seconds before he pulled back.
"You wanna know... how good it was?" Chris asked, still catching his breath. Hearing an affirmative hum from behind, he took one of Danny's hands and guided it down to his dick.
"Jeebus, already?" Danny gasped as he felt the raging erection, the remnants of the orgasm from barely twenty minutes earlier still evident, diluted by the precum he had oozed while getting fucked.
"Yeah," Chris chuckled, "I wanna go again. Roll over!" He promptly rotated on the spot, bringing him face-to-face with Danny. "Ummm, kinda hard to fuck you this way round!" he sniggered, rubbing his nose against his lover's.
"I know, just... enjoying the view!" Danny giggled back, staring into Chris' eyes. There were so many things Danny loved about Chris, enough to fill a book (or maybe seven!) but he had found the other boy's eyes mesmerising from the very first day they met. Some people could talk about their `happy place', somewhere they always felt comfortable and safe and secure. For Danny, that place was literally anywhere he could see that unique shade of green he saw now as he stared.
Chris pursed his lips so they protruded as far as possible. Taking the cue, Danny did the same so their lips met briefly for a quick peck before they both giggled at the cute gesture.
"This is so silly. We'll only be apart for five days, so why does it feel like a lifetime?" Chris sighed.
"I don't know, what's the time difference between England and Ireland?" Danny asked with a teasing smirk.
"Eejit!" Chris said, shaking his head as he chuckled, "You're stupid but I'm gonna miss you!"
Danny didn't reply. Instead he leaned forward and shuffled down slightly to rest his forehead on Chris' chest as he let out a long sigh. Earlier, at the pool with Finn, he had finally done it. He had opened up to someone at last. He had started talking and it was like a floodgate had opened and everything just came pouring out. Every issue, every problem, everything that had been getting him down for so long, it spilled out in a ceaseless torrent which Finn had listened to intently.
Finn had been quite wonderful about it. Admittedly he seemed a little overwhelmed by it all, but he had thanked Danny for trusting him with it. He hadn't tried to fix it all, he knew that wasn't the point of it. Getting Danny talking was what mattered, so with that in mind the only piece of advice he had offered was, "You should probably tell all of that to your Doctor... and Chris!"
"I'm gonna take that as you saying you'll miss me too," Chris said as he kissed the top of Danny's head and stroked his fingers through the soft golden hair.
"Sorry, yeah, I am!" Danny said as he pulled back a little and stared once again into the comforting emerald green. He was going to tell Chris everything... just not yet. "But for now..." he said, pausing as he bounced around to flip and face the other way, "I believe someone wanted another go! Get it in me, big boy!"
"Wow, so romantic!" Chris sniggered as he reached down to give his dick a couple of strokes to get it back to full firmness before pushing the head into the cleft of Danny's butt. It was still slippery with the mixture of lubricant and cum from the previous fuck before their first flip. "Eww slimy!" Chris chuckled as he pushed inside.
"Wow, so romantic," Danny teased as he looked back over his shoulder.
"Shut up!" Chris sniggered, then quickly kissed Danny and playfully shoved his head to turn him back around. "And I didn't say slimy was bad, it's just... different!" he added as he pushed fully into his boyfriend.
"Feels fine to me," Danny sighed as Chris started fucking him.
"Mmmm," Chris hummed contentedly as he started building the pace of his thrusts. "God, I love you so much!"
"Hmmm, say more things like that," Danny purred as he held tightly onto the arm he felt slide around him.
"I love your butt," Chris growled as he reached down with his free hand to grasp a handful of fleshy buttock. "And I love your muscles," he added as his hand slid round to rub across Danny's abs. "And I love how excited you get on pizza night," he said with a chuckle. "And I love how much you care about people," he said before planting a few gentle kisses across the back of Danny's neck. "And I love that you're my boyfriend and that I get to be yours!"
Danny sniffed a little. Between the physical pleasure of the dick now rapidly slamming into him, the closeness of the body wrapped around him and the caring words whispered in his ear, he felt so ecstatically happy that saying anything back was almost beyond him. He just managed to slip out a dreamy, "I love you too!"
Despite his eagerness, it took several minutes before Chris approached the point of climax. He didn't announce it, he simply slowed his movements as he felt his cock begin to twitch and throb, releasing a smaller but equally intense load to the one he had shot barely half an hour before.
Neither of them spoke for a while after Chris finished, they didn't need to. The two boys were cuddled together in comfortable silence, needing nothing more than the feel of each other's body as they enjoyed their last bit of time together before heading home.
"Bejesus, he actually did it!" Chris said, shaking his head as he looked across the car park, "Blane actually got the twins in the car without sedating them!"
"Definitely deserves a medal!" Mark said with a bemused smirk.
"Y'know there's still room for one more!" Chris said with a sincere smile.
Mark shook his head and started, "I appreciate it, but like I told the others, it's not that I'm saying `no' to coming home with any of you..."
"You're just choosing to stay here and keep Josh company, I know, I get it!" Chris nodded. He resisted adding any kind of teasing about it.
"Plus he... kinda got some bad news earlier and I... well I don't really know how he's taking it, but I'd rather be here in case he needs me!" Mark explained. As Chris looked at him curiously, he shrugged and said, "It's really Josh's news to tell!"
"Fair!" Chris nodded. "Well I should probably go before the twins manage to escape," he said, glancing round at the cars waiting to take him and his family off to the airport.
"Okay, I'll see you in a few days," Mark said happily, willingly accepting the hug he knew was coming.
"Call me if you need me, okay!" Chris whispered as he hugged Mark, then kissed his cheek gently as he pulled back. As Mark thanked him for the gesture, he hurried over to get into the waiting car. A few moments later, the family set off.
"So that's Kingswood then!" Aisling commented to Chris as they passed through the gates.
Thankfully they were in the quieter of the two cars. The four younger siblings, Mr and Mrs Smith and Edward were in the other one, while Aisling, Finn, Blane and Levi were all in the one with Chris.
"Yeah," Chris replied wistfully as he looked back at the gates as they closed.
"Interesting place," Finn said, nodding to his sister. The two of them were the only passengers in the car who had never been to the school before.
"To be fair, there was only one life-threatening drama, so you really saw it during a quiet period!" Blane said with a smirk.
"Ha!" Levi laughed, "I'd tell him not to exaggerate, but he's not really that far wrong!"
"Your friends all seem lovely," Aisling said with a sweet smile, then shrugged as she added, "Every bit as feckin mental as you, but nice!"
"Mmmyeah," Chris sighed as he thought about them all. Joking aside, it was impossible to deny the issues, the dramas and the problems and yet, even as Chris headed away from them, he couldn't help feeling it would all work out. Christmas together had been stressful and hectic and chaotic and loud, but it had also been fun and exciting.
The thought of waking up alone the next day was not one Chris relished. He knew there was a very real chance one or both of the twins would end up with him, but as nice as that was, it wasn't the same as waking up surrounded by his mates and his boyfriend. Having been able to share his story each morning with them had been magical, so it was tough to think it was over.
As the others moved on with their conversation, seemingly sensing the need to leave Chris alone in his melancholy, Chris felt his phone vibrate. It was a message in the group chat he had with the others, from Rob.
[Hey everyone. Hope you've either got home safe, are having a good journey or are enjoying the peace and quiet with everyone gone! This week has been so fun and I reckon I'm speaking on behalf of everyone when I say thank you to Chris for the story, it really made the week feel special. Anyway, it really didn't feel right that you didn't get your own part, so I thought I'd change that... but as you know from Creative Writing club, I am NOT a good fiction writer, so I decided to do something else!]
[I think it's pretty clear that your stories for us really showed how much you know us all and how much you care and how much you understand us so I thought it's be nice to let you know how much you mean to all of us too, so that's what I did. I asked the guys `What does Chris mean to you' and this what they said! Enjoy!]
[Also, we're in alphabetical order, just to stop David and James complaining if I did it any other way! LOLOLOLOL!]
[Also, also, I tidied up some of the spelling and grammar. Some you really need to work on your English skills cough Josh, Danny and Nicky cough]
[Also, also, also (I swear this is the last one) you did all give permission for me to share this and anyone who takes the piss for anything said here will be shunned, and punched in the balls hourly for a month!]
[So, I guess that means I'm proud to present – NOT A Chris-mas Carol Part 8!!]
Danny
Well I reckon you already know I like you cos I haven't dumped you yet! Ha! But Rob wants us to be honest, so here goes! You are the absolute light of my life and just being near you makes me happier than I thought was possible. From the very first day, you've been right there beside me and even during the really bad times when I wasn't there, I could still feel you with me. You are absolutely the best thing to ever happen to me and I love you more than I could ever put into words!
David
I know I complain a lot about you lot calling me your little brother, but I guess eventually it kinda sunk in and now I just accept that for what it is. What I think most of you don't realise is that it means, to me, you're all my big brothers too. I've got the big scary ones who I know would always protect me (Mikey and Danny). I've got the ones who are always there to help me and give me big brotherly advice when I need it (Nicky and Rob). I've got the ones who I can always be silly with and have fun and be entertained by (Mark and Josh). But I have only one big brother who can ALWAYS comfort me when I'm sad or pick me up when I'm low and that's you! No matter what I deal with, I know you'll always be there to give me a cuddle and say or do exactly the right thing to cheer me up. Love you, bro!
James
I don't like many people, but I like you! I'm not a hugger, but even I can't deny a Chris hug makes everything better. When I was dealing with the decision to leave the dorm, you were the one who supported me and I'll never forget that. Admittedly you royally buggered it up at the end, but we've moved on and I still appreciate what you did for me. I'm glad I got to share a dorm with you and even though you didn't do a story for me (rude) David told me about how I featured in his and it was really sweet, so thank you for the story and thank you for being you!
Josh
Chris who?? Just kidding! I'm a very lucky guy (if you ignore the abuse and the cancer LOLs) cos I have the most amazing group of friends in the world. I know me and you aren't the closest, but I always know you're there. If I'm down, you seem to just show up with surprise hugs. If I want an eating contest, you're always up for it. If I wanna play a super space ninja policeman you play along and become a super space ninja criminal for me to defeat! Basically I'm saying you're as big an idiot as I am and being surrounded by these lunatics, we need a couple of idiots. I'm glad I get to be an idiot with you and I love what you gave me with my story. You're the best!
Mark
Starting a new school is scary, but you just showed up on my first day and you looked after me and, even with all the bullshit you guys had going on at the time, you did your best to make me feel welcome and safe. I know we didn't date for long and the way it ended was a bit weird, but I loved our time together because you actually made me feel like I was worthy of being loved. There aren't many people in this world that get me, but you are definitely one of them. Your story gave me exactly what I wanted for Christmas.
Mikey
Chris, you were one of my first proper real-life friends. Your hugs help me in ways I don't even understand myself, but I know I'll always need them. Please never stop.
Nicky
I don't think anyone else knows this, but back in Year 7 when I was (stupidly) dating my mentor, you stepped in and offered to be my `person to talk to' and I don't really think that's ever stopped. I know you love being a daft git and you love acting like a big dumb hug machine, but I know you're so much more than that. You are so many things to me. Friend, confidante (I had to look that word up lol), musical companion, fuck buddy, therapist and more. I've come a long way in my time at Kingswood and I've only been able to do it because of friends like you. Thank you for always being there and thank you for giving me one more day with my brother! Nobody else could have ever given me that!
Rob
So I wrote mine after getting everyone else's and I felt kinda bad because, being honest, we're probably not as close as a lot of the other guys in the dorm are to each other, but that doesn't mean you're not important to me. I guess I'm slightly inspired by your story you did for Mikey or what David wrote for you, as they got me thinking about us as a group and I think I get why we work so well together. It's no secret that I love anime and Power Rangers and stuff like that (don't worry, I AM going somewhere with this!) so I kinda ended up thinking about our dorm(s) as a sort of gestalt entity made up of bits of each of us! (btw, I guarantee some of you stopped there to google `what does gestalt mean?' lol). Anyway, that's what I see us as.
Danny is without a doubt our courage because he's fearless and brave in the face of literally anything. David is our wisdom, able to look at things in ways other people can't and use more than just facts to understand things. James is our intelligence; he just knows things – all things! Josh is our strength, able to endure anything and help anyone else do the same. Mark is our rationality; he can calm any situation and help us keep a level head no matter what's going on around us. Mikey is our passion as he throws himself completely into anything that matters to him with absolute ferocity. Nicky is undeniably our sense of humour, which he can use to keep us grounded as well as amused. I like to think of myself as our cunning, always looking for ways for us to get away with things!
So that only leaves you. What is Chris in the great big Megazord that we make up? Chris, you are our heart. You are our love and our compassion and our affection. Every one of us is important to the whole (and the hole lol) but without you at our centre, we wouldn't be who we are, so thank you!
"Hey," Aisling said, reaching out her foot to gently tap Chris' leg. As her little brother glanced her way, she asked, "You okay?"
Chris wiped a tear from his cheek and nodded back at her with a smile.
"Bad news?" Aisling asked with obvious concern, nodding at Chris' phone that had kept him transfixed for the last couple of minutes.
"No," Chris said with a sniffly chuckle. "Just... a late Christmas present!" he said happily.
