A Royal Pain
-1-
The young man entered the bar in Boston on a warm, balmy, late summer evening. It was Friday, and he was about to start his Freshman classes at Harvard on Monday morning. It was the first time he was in a gay bar in The United States. To be perfectly honest, it was his first time in a gay bar anywhere in the world. He was filled with both excitement and apprehension. He was from a small land-locked country in the Alps. His native tongue was German, but he also spoke French, Italian and English without an accent. That is, he spoke English with a British accent.
It was early in the evening, and he easily found a seat at the bar. The stools on each side of him were still empty, but would be occupied rapidly. He was only eighteen, but he was very mature looking, especially with his three day growth of beard. He had noticed that most American men about his age all had beards, and he decided to grow one also. He ordered a glass of red wine, and the bartender didn't even card him.
He knew that he was tall and handsome, but he never expected to be hit on so quickly, and by more than one guy. They all had the same corny line. They remarked that they hadn't seen him here before, and then they introduced themselves. He was polite, but definitely presented an air of indifference, and that was their cue to get going. He had only taken a few sips of wine when someone sat down on one of the empty seats next to him. They looked at each other, and two hearts began to flutter.
The newcomer held out his hand. "Hi," he said. "Do you come here often?"
The young foreigner shook his head. Another corny line, he thought.
"My name's Gregory Mannheim. Everybody calls me Greg. I'm from Philadelphia, PA, and I'm starting at Harvard on Monday."
Now the young man's interest was piqued. Greg was a freshman at Harvard, just as he was. He shook Greg's hand and said, "I'm starting at Harvard on Monday also. My name's Wilhelm, but just call me Willie."
"Wilhelm?" Greg asked. "That's German isn't it. Where are you from?"
Greg expected to hear some city and state in The united States, but Willie floored him. "I'm from Schonnenschein," he said.
"Is that In the Pennsylvania Dutch area? I never heard of it," Greg looked puzzled.
Willie laughed. "No, it's a small country located in the Austrian Alps. We used to be part of Austria, but we gained independence at the time the Austrian Hungary empire was split apart. My father was educated in The United States, and I expressed a desire to follow in his footsteps. He went to Princeton, but I wanted to go to a university in a big city."
Greg smiled and took Willie's hand again. "Well," he said. "I'm sure glad you chose Harvard. What dorm are you in?"
"Apley Court," Willie answered simply.
"I'm in Hollis Hall. I hope to try to live off campus after this year."
Suddenly, Willie stood up. "I have to go," he said, "before my bodyguard kills me himself." He hadn't meant to say that, but it just came out.
"You have a bodyguard?" Greg asked. He was incredulous.
"My father thinks that every big city in The United States is a hotbed of crime and violence. He wouldn't let me come here, unless he got me a bodyguard."
"He's not much of a bodyguard, if he isn't here with you. Where is he?"
"I snuck out on him. That's why I've got to get back before he realizes I'm gone."
"I'd really like to see you again," Greg said. He reached into his wallet, and gave Willie his card. "My telephone number is on the card. Please call," he said.
Willie reached into his wallet, and gave a card to Greg. "My American cell phone number is on the card. Please, let's stay in touch."
"If we're lucky," Greg said. "We'll have some classes together."
After Willie left, Greg glanced at his card. It read William Sunshine. Willie's real name was Wilhelm von Schonnenschein, but he registered at Harvard under the name William Sunshine.
They lucked out as Greg had hoped. They were in two classes together; World History and Political Science. Greg was pre-law. Willie had not yet declared a major.
-2-
World history was their first class of the day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and Poli-Sci was the last. As they were leaving their last class on Monday, Greg asked Willie if he was having dinner in the school dining room that evening. Willie nodded, and they agreed to meet at the entrance to the dining room at 6 PM.
When they spotted each other, they smiled broadly. They would have preferred to have greeted each other a little bit more intimately, but they wisely decided to wait.
"Where's your bodyguard?" Greg asked. "I'd like to meet him."
"Heinrich rented a small one-bedroom apartment just moments from here. He doesn't come on duty unless I leave the campus. I had to swear a blood oath to call him whenever I do decide to go out."
"I guess you didn't call him last Friday evening."
"You guess right, and I won't call him the next time I go out to a gay bar. I wish I could get my father to dismiss him."
"Maybe he will in time," Greg mused. "When he sees that you are safe in Boston, he might have a change of heart."
One can always hope, but I doubt it."
"Next Friday evening, would you have dinner with me at a mainstream restaurant?" Greg asked. "You can invite Heinrich to join us."
"He won't do that, but he'll keep a close eye on us from another table."
"That's no fun. Tell him this is America, and it's perfectly permissible for him to eat with his employer."
"We'll see. I don't want him to figure out that I'm gay."
"I can tell that it's going to be difficult getting together with you, if you get my meaning," Greg said. "Is that something you'd like to do, get together, I mean?"
"Most definitely, but it won't be as hard as you think. My father is so paranoid about my safety in The United States that he paid two housing fees, and I don't have a roommate. Heinrich won't be around when I'm on campus. Unfortunately, next year Heinrich is renting a two-bedroom apartment and I'll live with him off campus."
Greg's first thought was that Willie must be loaded. Greg's dad was a judge in Philadelphia. He was well off, but still, he would never spring for two housing fees. Greg had originally wanted to go to The University of Pennsylvania, but Judge Mannheim had graduated from Harvard Law, and forced Harvard on his son. Had he stayed in Philadelphia, he would have had a slew of fuck buddies, but in Boston, he'd have to start making new friends. He was sure that Willie fit the bill. In fact, he wouldn't care if Willie was his only fuck buddy. There was definitely something going on between them.
"I'd love to spend some time with you tonight," Greg admitted, "but I have a shit load of homework. How about tomorrow after our last class and before dinner?"
"We have a date," Willie smiled. "My last class on Tuesday is Philosophy. Meet me in room 107 in Apley Court."
"My last class is Phys Ed," Greg said. "I'll skip the shower. Would you like to shower with me before we get together?"
"Damn right," Willie said. "That will be lovely."
When they left the dining room, neither could resist. They gave each other a manly hug.
When Greg knocked on Willie's door the next day, it was opened immediately. Willie was naked, but he had a towel wrapped around his waist and it reached his knees. Greg liked what he saw. Willie had an athlete's body. Greg was anxious to see what hid behind the towel.
"Get undressed," Willie begged, "and we'll shower. I'll lend you a towel."
Greg got naked in a nano-second, and let Willie have a look. Before he threw a towel at Greg, Willie smiled broadly to let Greg know that he was pleased with what he saw. Greg smiled back.
At this off-hour there was nobody in the showers except Willie and Greg. When they took off their towels, they sized each other up. Willie was just shy of six feet. He obviously worked out a lot. He was all muscle. His uncut cock measured four and a half inches flaccid, but as Greg stared at it, it began to rise, and reached a substantial seven inches. It was quite hefty as well.
Greg was six feet even. He was solid, but not as muscular as Willie.
Their cocks were about the same size, both soft and hard, but Greg was circumcised.
"Are you Jewish?" Willie asked.
"No, not at all. Why did you ask?"
Willie pointed at Greg's cut rod, and Greg began to laugh. He was aware that most European non-Jewish men were uncut.
"In the States," he said, "a good many non-Jewish men are cut. Doctors recommend it for health reasons."
"I didn't know that. This will be a first for me."
At this off hour they were alone in the shower, and Willie engulfed Greg's cock in the palm of his hand. He fondled it lovingly. They took advantage of their private situation by washing each other's backs. Neither was shy and they extended their cleansing to their cracks, balls and penises. They didn't linger long in the shower. They were anxious to get to Willie's room to have sex. The truth is they never had sex that night. They made love with each other.
Willie gave Greg a trip around the world that lasted seemingly forever. Then he took Greg's cock into his mouth, and sucked it like he sucked a lollipop. Greg was writhing so much, Willie had trouble keeping his cock in his mouth. When Greg's balls began to shrink, Willie stopped.
"Please do that to me, and then let's fuck," Willie pleaded. "I have condoms and lube in my bedside table."
"Yes, baby, let's fuck."
When they both reached Nirvana, they lay side by side, basking in the afterglow. They were holding hands, and Willie asked, "Will you spend the night with me?"
"There's nothing I want more, but I have to get to my dorm to shower and put on fresh clothes."
"We're about the same size, Willie pointed out. "I'll lend you an outfit. In fact, why don't you move in with me? There's a whole bed going to waste."
"We just met, Willie, and as tempting as your offer is, let's see how we feel a month from today. I'll go home now, and I'll see you in our history class tomorrow morning."
Greg got out of bed and started to dress.
"I won't feel differently a month from now or a thousand years from now, but let's slow down, if that's what you want."
"Thanks, Willie," Greg said. "You're a prince."
Willie sat bolt upright in bed. "Why did you say that I was a prince?" he asked.
"You're a prince is a metaphor for you're a great guy. I guess some of the nuances of the English language may have escaped you. Why did you get so upset?"
"Forgive me. I wasn't upset, but I wasn't familiar with that expression, and I didn't want you to put me on a pedestal."
"Too late," Greg laughed. "I've already put you on a pedestal."
He leaned over, and gave Willie a good night kiss before he left the room.
-3-
They skipped Wednesday because they were both too busy, but they made love again on Thursday. On Thursday, Greg packed an overnight bag, and they slept together all night. In the morning Greg said, "I could sleep with you every night for the rest of my life."
Willie didn't say anything, but his face clouded over. He managed a Mona Lisa like smile.
Friday evening was their first date night, and Greg showed up at Willie's dorm at precisely 6 PM. When Willie opened the door, he was surprised to find that a very handsome man was in the room.
Willie saw the look of confusion on Greg's face. "Greg," he explained. "this is Heinrich. It took a lot of begging on my part, but he agreed to have dinner with us as you requested."
Greg and Heinrich shook hands. Greg was shocked. Heinrich didn't look like a body guard at all. He looked more like a family friend. He was taller than both he or Willie. He still had baby blonde hair and blue eyes. He didn't look to be over thirty years old. Greg would not mind if Heinrich shared his and Willie's bed.
Heinrich smiled at Greg. "This will give me a chance to make sure that Willie is safe in your hands," he said.
"I assure you that he's safe. When you're not around, I intend to be his body guard, so don't worry."
"Where are we going?" Willie asked.
"To a great sea food restaurant in Faneuil Hall. My dad recommended it to me." He took out his cell phone, and called to change their reservation to three. Then he started to call another number.
"Who are you calling?" Willie asked.
"UBER. We need wheels to get there."
"There's no need. Heinrich has a Jaguar. He'll drive us there."
Greg was shocked that Heinrich had a Jaguar. Maybe it was Willie's car.
"That's great, Hank," Greg said.
"Why did you call me Hank?" Heinrich asked. He looked a little alarmed.
"Don't worry, it's a nickname for Henry. Since we're in America I thought I'd call you Hank."
"Why not?" Hank asked. "I'm sure that it's easier for you to pronounce a k than the German ch."
Faneuil Hall was like a zoo, but fortunately the restaurant provided valet parking. They were greeted by a hostess, who informed them that there would be about a fifteen minute wait before their table would be ready. She suggested they go to the bar.
"Willie and I are too young to drink," Greg said, "but feel free to order a drink for yourself, Hank. Let yourself go. One of us can drive us back to the campus. Tonight's on me."
"Oh, no," Willie said. "I couldn't let you."
"Don't argue. I invited you and Hank. You guys can get the next one."
Hank ordered a scotch and water, and Willie and Greg ordered cokes. Willie could have passed as over twenty-one, but Greg looked like his eighteen years. Willie didn't want to embarrass Greg by ordering hard liquor without being carded..
When finally, the hostess came to seat them, Hank held the chair for Willie. Greg was surprised. A guy held the chair for a woman, not another dude. He figured it was a European thing.
"Thank you, Hein...Hank," Willie said politely.
"My pleasure, your highness," Hank answered.
For a moment there was deadly silence. Willie gave Hank a really evil look.
"Sorry," Hank said. He looked like he had just been slapped in the face. "It was just a natural response," he lamented.
The silence seemed to last forever. Finally, Greg looked at Willie. "Do you have something you'd like to tell me?" he asked.
"Yes, but not here and not now. Let's just have fun tonight, and I'll tell you everything when we're back on campus."
They didn't have much fun. They ate in silence and none of them ordered dessert. Greg, who loved lobster tails, hardly ate anything. The same was true for Willie.
They drove home in silence also. Hank dropped them off at Apley Hall, and left as quickly as he could. When they entered Willie's room, Willie fell on his bed, and cried like a baby. Out of sheer compassion, Greg enveloped him in his arms.
"Are you going to tell me what's going on?" Greg asked for the umpteenth time"
"Yes, I swear I will, but first make love with me. It might be the last time."
"The last time?" Greg asked. "It sounds really bad."
"Please," Willie begged again. "Make love with me."
Greg figured that if this was the last time, he would make it memorable. He did all the work. He gave Willie a trip around the world that seemed endless. He never touched Willie's balls or cocks, but he spent a lot of time sucking Willie's toes and rimming Willie's ass. Once when Greg came up for air, Willie heard him sobbing. His misery was growing along with his passion.
"Please," Willie cried, "fuck me, and then suck my cock, and let me cum. I love you, Greg. I'll always love you."
Somehow time passed and passion waned. Greg and Willie lay in Willie's bed all wrapped up together.
"Talk," Greg said simply."
"To begin with, Hank knows all about us. I didn't lose him the night we met after all. He followed me to the gay bar. When I got home, I had to come out to him. I cried and told him how miserable I was. He held me in his arms and comforted me. Hank's my father's youngest brother. My father has two more brothers. Hank's my uncle, Greg.
"He held me closer and closer," Willie continued. Why do you think I never married?' he asked me. I'm gay also, and there's no pressure on me to get married, but you, my dear nephew, your bride has been chosen, and the wedding is planned shortly after you graduate from Harvard. You must do your duty. You must produce an heir.' I cried harder and he held me tighter."
Willie seemed to pause, so Greg asked, "What about the `your highness' thing?"
Willie took a deep breath. "Greg," he said, "my father, Maximilian, is the king of Schonnenschein. I am his only son. My mother died in child birth. I'm the crown prince, heir to his throne." He started to cry and Greg cried with him.
"Please," Greg said. "Let's make love all the while we're both here at Harvard. I want to have those memories, if I can't have you."
"I could abdicate," Willie said.
"I wouldn't let you. Who's next in line after you?"
"My father's brother, Zalman. He's the second oldest of the four brothers. And he has two sons. Either one would make a fine king. I'm very close to both of them."
So they agreed to go on as they were until they graduated. However, they made a few changes. Willie convinced his father that if he didn't have a roommate, he was missing out on the full college experience. After a long discussion with his brother, Heinrich, the king relented, and Greg moved into Willie's dorm room. Willie and Greg planned on living with Hank beyond this academic year. He gave up his small apartment and leased a three-bedroom apartment. Willie declared that physical education was his major. The rigorous hours spent in the gym, helped him forget his misery for a little bit. Last, but not least, when Greg and Willie went to a gay bar, Hank accompanied them. He had his own apartment, so he had no problem taking home a very willing partner.
-4-
The four years passed way too quickly, and the lovers braced themselves for their separation. They cried more than they made love. Every summer Greg worked at his father's law firm and Willie went home to Schonnenschein. The summers were so difficult, they didn't know how they would survive the final separation.
King Maximillian informed Willie that he was coming to Boston a few days before graduation, and would be staying at the Cambria Hotel Boston. Greg's parents informed him that they were staying at the same hotel. Willie and Greg arranged for the two families to have dinner together, and that included Uncle Heinrich. They would introduce themselves as roommates. The dinner was set for the night before graduation and Willie and Max both agreed not to let on that they were royalty.
Judge Mannheim's parents were born in Vienna, Austria, and he spoke a very passable German. The king and the judge really hit it off, and everyone seemed to have a good time. In fact, the two fathers spoke to each other in German all evening, and they planned a graduation dinner the night of the ceremony.
At one point, Willie got Judge Mannheim alone, and said something to him in German. The judge got hold of him and gave him a bone crushing hug.
"What did you say to him?" Greg asked.
"I thanked him for urging you to come to Harvard. If you hadn't we would never have met."
"I love you too," Greg sobbed.
All these celebrations were well and good, but the biggest celebration of all occurred in their dorm room the night before graduation. Greg couldn't stop crying, but Willie was in a festive mood. Greg wondered if Willie loved him after all. Willie kept looking at Greg with a shit eaten grin.
"What?" Greg finally asked.
"I'm staying in Boston while you attend Harvard Law. We'll be living in Uncle Hank's apartment. He's going back home at last."
Greg was stunned. "What? How?"
"When my dad arrived," Willie said, "Hank drove me over to his hotel to greet him. I came out to him, Greg. I told him that I was gay, and that I could not marry Lady Eleanor as planned. He was stunned so I continued. I told him that I don't want to bring shame to the monarchy, so I'm going to give up my birthright to Uncle Zalman.
"It took my father a little while to calm down, and then he asked if you were my lover.
"I told him that you were, and that I loved you so much that when we were separated during the summer, spring, and winter breaks, I thought I would die.
"He told me that he always suspected that I might be gay. The way I talked about you these past few years was more than describing a roommate. I was describing a lover. Then of course, he grew up with Uncle Heinrich, who's gay, and he had with whom to compare."
"What will you do while I'm in law school?" Greg asked.
"My bachelor's degree certificate is in the name of William Sunshine. I've got a job, Greg, a real job. I'll be teaching phys-ed at a local high school in that name. I'm also going to teach German and French. I'm going to be one busy teacher. When you join your father's firm, and we move to Philadelphia, I'll seek a teaching position there. I've been working on this for a long time. I've already got my social security card, my green card, and I've applied for citizenship. We'll never be separated again, my love."
Greg could not stop crying. In fact, he was too broken up to make love, and they just slept all night in each other's arms.
Needless to say, the post-graduation party, which was planned by the two fathers, was a very festive occasion. The three royals came out to Greg's parents, and the king made his son and son-in-law promise to come to Schonnenschein as often as they could get away. He invited Greg's parents to come also.
"Don't worry, Judge Mannheim said, "I'll see to it."
Everybody agreed that a certain trite expression was pretty corny, but true. "True love will always find a way."
Or, as Uncle Henrich would say, "Wahre Liebe wird immer einen Weg finden."
-5-
Two weeks before Greg was to begin his first year at Harvard Law, and Willie was looking forward to beginning his teaching career, Willie got a call from his cousin Edvard. Eddie was the younger son of Prince Zalman, who was now first in line for the throne. Eddie was third in line. Of course, they conversed in German, but suddenly Willie shrieked with joy. It was obvious that Eddie had just given him very good news.
"What was that all about?" Greg asked.
"Remember I told you that I was very close to my Uncle Zalman's two sons? Eddie is the younger of the two. I'm four years older than he. He just told me that he'll be a freshman at Harvard when the new semester begins. He's registered as Edward Sunshine. He had no trouble getting in when he listed his cousin, William, as a graduate."
"That's great," Greg said, and he gave Willie a hug. He hugged Willie at the drop of a hat, and for the flimsiest of reasons. "I'm so happy you'll have family around. When will he be arriving. He can stay with us until the semester begins, and he has to move into the dorms as do all freshmen."
"Greg, I hope you won't mind, but Uncle Zalman did the same thing my father did. Eddie's going to have a room to himself. Nevertheless, neither he nor I intend for him to use it. We have two spare bedrooms, and we might as well put them to use. I want him to live with us."
"No problem," Greg said. "As long as he doesn't interfere with our love life."
"I guess it's time to reveal a family secret that nobody knows except Eddie and me."
"I love secrets. Start talking, Your Highness."
"I won't say another word unless you promise not to call me that again. I know you were just joking, but I'm a private citizen now, and I like it that way."
"I'm sorry love. Please tell me the secret and I'll be the third to know."
"A year before I left home to come to Boston, when I was seventeen, and Eddie was thirteen, he came into my bed in the middle of the night. I'll cut to the chase, honey. He seduced me. All that year, before I left home, we had glorious sex."
"Wow, and I thought you were a virgin when we made loved for the first time. It doesn't matter. I still love you to pieces."
"Greg, I think Prince Edvard is planning on joining us in our bed, but I'll say no if you don't want him to."
"Is he as good looking as you?"
"Better looking. He's blond and resembles Uncle Hank. He's an inch taller than I am, and he's a hunk."
"Say no more. I have no objection."
"Okay, but let's look around, and find him a Prince Charming as befits his station in life," Willie said." "A bride has already been selected for him. He can never marry her, and sooner or later, he'll have to come out and tell his father," Willie added sadly.
"Until that time comes," Greg said, `Let's show him a great time in America, but just a word of warning. We have to make sure he keeps up with his studies."
"Deal." Willie grinned at Greg.
Willie and Greg met Eddie at Logan Airport on the Thursday evening before classes were to begin on Monday. His English was very good, but not as good as Willie's, who was a linguist. He had a very slight German accent, which Greg was sure the guys would find endearing. He was even better looking than Willie said he was. When they got home, Eddie practically attacked them trying to rip off their clothes.
"Simmer down," Willie said.
"I can't simmer down. I haven't had sex since you left me over four years ago."
Greg wanted to reassure Eddie that all would be well. "Eddie," he said, "Willie and I have discussed our situation, and I have agreed that you will sleep with us. Just go slow, and I promise we'll make you very happy."
"Yes," Willie agreed, "and we're going to introduce you to lots of our friends, and before you know it, you'll have a stable of fuck buddies."
Eddie began to tear up.
"You'll sleep with us tonight," Greg said, "but why don't you unpack and put all your stuff away in your assigned bedroom while Willie prepares dinner. Did you know he once wanted to be a chef? You have a private bathroom. Come, I'll show you."
After dinner, Eddie showered in his bathroom, and Willie and Greg showered together in theirs. When they dried off and went into their bedroom, Eddie was already in their bed. He legs were spread and he had an erect, uncut cock of at least eight inches. Willie and Greg climbed in on either side of him and began to give him a trip around the world. They flipped him over several times until they were satisfied that the only thing they missed were his cock and balls. They wanted to tease him.
When they were satisfied, Willie straddled Eddie and presented him with his cock to suck, and Greg began to suck Eddie's hard rod. Whenever Eddie stopped to take a breath, he kept crying out, "Gott, Gott." He was sobbing with joy.
Before any of them could cum, they stopped their labors. Greg got out the lube and greased Willie's ass, and his own cock. Then he greased Eddie's cock and ass. Willie turned on his back, placed a pillow under his butt, and Greg helped their young cousin to enter Willie very slowly.
"Lie still and don't stroke, "Greg instructed Eddie. As he said that, he entered Eddie doggie style. The Prince yelped in momentary pain, but the pain passed quickly. Involuntarily, they couldn't stop themselves and started to pump. Eddie's cock was massaging Willie's prostate, and he actually came first, followed quickly by Eddie. When he came, Eddie constricted his ass and put Greg over the edge. They were all exhausted at last, in spite of their youth.
Eddie and Greg were monogamous and Eddie hadn't had sex since he was thirteen so they didn't use condoms. They didn't bother to shower again. Greg got a towel, cleaned them all up, and in a moment they were all asleep.
By the time Greg graduated law school, and he and Willie moved to Philadelphia, Eddie was entering his senior year. True to his cousins' promise, he had a slew of fuck buddies. Actually, he lost his German accent. He might not have been as endearing as he was at first, but every young man in Boston wanted to make love, or at least, have sex with him. Eddie continued to rent the house for his final year. It was always full of men. Often they would have a true orgy.
When Eddie graduated, King Max, Uncles Zalman and Hank, and Greg and Willie came to the ceremony. The house had not been vacated yet, so they all stayed there. In the middle of the night Hank crept into Willie and Greg's bed. He wanted to have the fun they had when they were students. Imagine his shock to find three bodies in the bed, Eddie, of course, was the third party. By the time they all fell asleep two hours later they were all worn out.
Like Uncle Heinrich, Prince Edvard returned to Sonnenschein to resume his royal duties. Heinrich did what was expected of him, but he no longer lived in the palace. He purchased a small estate so that he could have privacy. Edvard visited him often, and somehow they became lovers. The knowledge that they were lovers, was a family secret, and neither of the them was ever pressured to marry.
In the end Willie and Greg were happy to be private citizens, and enjoyed their lives to the fullest. Hank and Eddie didn't mind resuming their royal duties, and as long as they had each other, they were happy also.
Willie and Greg had jobs which kept them very busy, and they could only visit Willie's homeland on occasion. Whenever they did, they stayed at Uncle Hank's estate. On the other hand Hank and Eddie could get away often, and they visited Willie and Greg as often as they could. Whenever the four of them got together, they made love in every combination possible.
Whatever angst the three royals had suffered while they were in the closet finally disappeared. The closet door was wide open, and love was always a factor in their relationships.
Author's note: The kingdom of Schonnenschein and all the characters in this story are completely fictional.
