Boarding with Friends Chapter Six
Lance sat on the edge of his bed looking at the bottle of sleeping pills he held in his hand. One quick swallow and all his pain and suffering would be over. He was likely the cause of his friend Fred's death, his home life was horrible and he was a closeted gay guy in a conservative Texas town. Why should he keep living, to what end? The only bright spot in his life was Billy.
Billy.
He loved Billy more than he ever could have thought possible. Billy loved him back, more than he was willing to admit. Billy and his parents had committed themselves to supporting Lance in his times of need. Was committing suicide any way to repay their compassion? How would they feel if he died? As bad as he felt about Fred, he was sure Billy would feel even worse if Lance died. He would have felt he failed in being there when Lance needed him. Could he put his lover through that much pain? No, that wouldn't be fair. As he had been told all day, choices have consequences. Good choices have good consequences and bad choices have bad consequences. What he was about to do would have horrible consequences for Billy and his family. Lance had convinced himself
He put the cap back on the bottle. He was going to put it back when he found it. But then a thought struck him like a lighting bolt. Why the hell did his mother need sleeping pills? She was passed out drunk almost every night and certainly didn't need any pills to sleep. Was she contemplating the same thing as Lance? As much as he was unhappy with his mother's behavior, she was his mother. Deep down he loved her and remembered the loving mom she used to be before the alcohol took a hold of her life. He went to the kitchen and got a small plastic bag and poured all but three pills into the bag. He stashed the bag in his room where he was sure no one would find it then put the near empty bottle back where he found it. If she really needed the pills to sleep, three would be more than enough. He would check the bottle every day to see if any were used. He would replace whatever was necessary to keep three in the bottle at all times.
He went back to his room and got into bed. He lay looking at the ceiling and let out a sigh of relief.
"Fred, I miss you and I'll be with you some day, just not today. I have more important things to take care of first."
Lance always felt good when he was with Billy. This was the first time in a long time that he felt good with himself. He had made a choice about his life and he knew it was the right choice. He rolled on his side and hugged his pillow to his chest.
"Good night Billy, I WILL see you in the morning."
Billy and Rachel were talking at Billy's locker the next morning, a common occurrence now.
"How is Lance doing?" she asked.
"He spent most of the day with my family and I yesterday. He seemed to be doing okay, but it's hard to tell with him. You know the way he hold's everything inside."
"I sure do. He seems to be more open with you lately than he had ever been with me. Make sure you're there for him."
"Of course, you know I will."
Rachel leaned in and gave Billy a kiss on the cheek. Lance came around the corner and saw the two of them together. Instead of talking, he imagined them hugging and crying, try to console one another over Lance's suicide. He suddenly felt embarrassed and ashamed that he was actually considering such a stupid thing. He walked up to them, his face red with shame.
"Hey, are you hitting on my girl again?" Lance asked jokingly.
"No, I'm hitting on your boyfriend," Rachel joked back.
They all laughed at the irony of it. Rachel noticed Lance's red face and jumped to a conclusion, a right one as it were.
"Oh my god, look at you Lance. You and Billy did it yesterday, didn't you? I can see the look on your face."
"Did what? I have no idea what you're talking about." Lance asserted.
Billy's face turned red and he turned to look in his locker for a book rather than look at Rachel.
"You know damn well what I'm talking about, you horn dog. I'm so happy for both of you."
Knowing they were busted, Lance had to admit she was right.
"You're just jealous, that's all," Lance said quietly.
:"I am, but I know you wouldn't have waited four years until we were out of school."
"Your choice, not mine," Lance played along.
"That, and I'd have to grow a pecker if you and I were to hook up," she said matter of factly.
Billy choked on a cough and was trying to hide himself in his locker. Lance just laughed and gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead.
"You know that no matter what, I'll always love you as my most precious friend and confidant," Lance said with sincerity.
"Back at you. I have to run to class. See you two at lunch, if you can get Billy out of his locker."
Billy and Lance headed down the hall to math class.
"So how are you doing this morning, really?" Billy asked.
"A hell of a lot better than two days ago. Being with you and your family yesterday made me realize that no matter what happens in this crazy life of ours, we can get through it if we stick together. You and me and Rachel make a hell of a threesome."
"We sure do, just not in the way most people think of a threesome."
"I just hope no one makes the connection between Fred and myself."
"He was your friend, but he was friends with a lot of us. Did you two have a special connection?" Billy asked, not knowing what Lance was referring to.
Lance had decided he wasn't going to show Billy the note Fred had left for him. There was no need for him to know and potentially feel any responsibility for Fred trying to make the jump.
"No, it's just that he seemed angry at me a lot lately, that's all."
The mood in the school was subdued all day, with students talking quietly to themselves in small groups. At lunch Bill, Lance and Mike sat with the rest of the crew. Small groups of kids would come to the table and offer their condolences and then move on. Thankfully no one made any connection to Lance and Fred's death. His secret love went to his grave with him and Lance was going to do the same. By the end of lunch period, Mr. Peckham, the science teacher, and Mr. Wilson, the math teacher, had both come to the table and offer their concerns, offering to meet with any of them that needed to talk.
"Thank you both, but we have each other to lean on. That's what friends do for each other," Lance said as he held out both his hands to the others at the table. They all joined hands and bowed their heads. "For Fred, you'll always be with us." Lance said and they squeezed their hands then let go.
There was an announcement over the PA system at the end of the day letting everyone know the wake for Fred was going to be held on Tuesday from 3 - 7 and the funeral would be on Wednesday morning. There would be school Wednesday but anyone who wanted to attend would be excused from classes for the day.
Tuesday was even a more somber mood around the school. The wake was this afternoon and this made it real. Monday Fred was often absent from school, having played so hard on the football field on Saturday. Some came dressed in Sunday clothes so they could attend the wake right after school, some were going home to attend the wake with their parents. Lance wanted to go with Billy and his family but his father told him to come home after school and they would all go as a family. Lance wasn't happy about it but he knew he had no choice. He hoped his mother wouldn't be too drunk by that time of day and his father wouldn't make a nuisance of himself handing out business cards or whatever he does when there is a crowd.
Lance went home after school and was pleasantly surprised. Either his mother hadn't been drinking at all or the overbearing fragrance of her perfume drowned out the smell of the booze. Turns out it was the abundance of perfume she had used to mask the smell of the wine. His father was pacing around in the kitchen, anxious to get going before he wasted the whole afternoon. Typical compassion from the asshole, Lance thought to himself.
Lance and his parents had to park down the street and walk to the funeral home. Cars were everywhere. They got to the building and saw a line waiting to get in.
"Oh, great. This is going to take forever to get in," Jack complained.
"Forever, as in an eternity?" Lance needled his father.
Jack glared at Lance but didn't say anything. His mother rubbed Lance's shoulders to calm him down.
They got in and stopped in front of the casket. Lance and his mother kneeled down to say a prayer while Jack looked around to see who was in the room. They moved to the receiving line to pay their respects to the family. Fred's mom was a little older than Lance's mother or Billy's mom, but he could see the toll this had taken on her. She looked frail and much older than her years. Fred's father just stared as people shook his hands, thanking them for coming without engaging in anything more. Fred's mom reached out and pulled Lance in for a hug.
"Lance, thank you for coming. Fred talked about you all the time. You and he must have been such good friends."
"We were, I'm going to miss him so much."
Lance cringed at what he had just said. Of course he was going to miss him, like no one else in the room would? Or his mom? Think how much she would miss him. Stupid, Lance thought to himself. He moved to shake hands with Fred's older brother and younger sister. He knew Fred had siblings but he never talked about them.
Lance's mother found a couple of empty chairs and took his arm to lead him to them, using Lance to steady herself. He caught sight of Billy and wanted to go be with him.
"Come and sit with me for a little while, please," she asked him.
She had such a depressed look on her face, sitting there looking at the teenager in the casket that could just as easily be her own. They took their seats and she reached out to take his hand.
"I know the last year or so hasn't been easy on you, what with my drinking and your father, well, your father," she began.
"And me coming out?" he said sheepishly.
"I love you just the way you are and I'm going to try and do better for you, I really am. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable in your own home. I understand you wanting to be with your friend so I would like you to invite him to our house once in a while."
"That would go over big with dad, don't you think?"
"You let me worry about him. We had a long talk this morning and he won't be bothering either one of us that way again," referring to the physical abuse she and Lance had been through.
Lance wasn't sure exactly what she meant by that but the fact that his mother was reaching out to him made him realize how glad he was that he didn't swallow those pills. He put his head on his mother's shoulder as tears appeared on his cheeks.
Mike came by and put his hand on Lance's shoulder.
"Hey Lance," Mike said as he was moving past.
"Hey Mike,' Lance replied.
"Why don't you go and join your friends over there," his mother offered as she looked at the group of young guys gathering in the far corner of the room.
" No, I can stay here, mother," Lance offered.
"You go be with your friends, they need you now. I'm going to leaving soon. Please be home for supper tonight. We're having your favorite, baked lasagna."
"From the Pizza Palace?" their usual place for Italian take out.
"No, home made. If I can remember the recipe," she laughed.
Lance leaned over and hugged his mother and whispered in her ear,
"I love you, mother, I really do."
As Lance got up and walked over to his friends, tears would flowing generously from his eyes, most people thinking they were tears of sadness for Fred while in fact they were tears of joy over his interaction with his mother.
He joined his friends and they talked quietly amongst themselves, stories of Fred, who was taking the day tomorrow to go to the funeral and just general chatter. The football team came in as a unit, wearing their football jerseys and presented Fred's parents with his jersey. They said they had persuaded the coach to retire Fred's number. His mom was visibly shaken but held it together enough to hug each of the players. Fred's father gave each player a firm handshake and a hug.
Lance's mom got up to leave, waving over to him them looking around for Jack. Not seeing him, she figured he had already left so she went on by herself.
Lance got a ride home with Billy and his parents. On the ride home, Lance filled Billy in on the conversation with his mother earlier.
"That's great. I'm so happy for you," Billy commented.
"Me too. I plan on spending more time with her so it might cut down on the time we can spent together. We'll have to make sure it is quality time."
"Any time I get to spent with you is quality time, you know that."
Lance got dropped off in front of his house. He noticed his father's truck wasn't in the driveway. The minute he walked into the house the smell of home cooked lasagna hit him. He ran into the kitchen to find his mother taking it out of the oven.
"Perfect timing. It had to set for ten minutes and then we eat. Will you help me set the table?" she asked him.
"Of course."
Lance was ecstatic! His mother was back, at least for now. He didn't know how long this would last but it was all good for now. The perfume had worn off and he could smell the alcohol but it wasn't as overpowering as usual.
"This is delicious, mother. You haven't lost your touch."
"Thank you. I was nervous about it but it seems like I haven't forgotten after all."
They finished eating, looking at each other and smiling often. Lance got up to clear the table but his mother stopped him.
"Lance, I want to talk to you. Your father and I have agreed to a trial separation."
"You're getting divorced?" Lance was astonished that his father would agree to anything that might tarnish his perfect family image.
"No, not yet anyway. We thought is would be best if we took a time out to see if we can get ourselves back on track with our marriage. He will be moving out for a while."
"I can guess where he'll be staying," Lance commented softly but not softly enough.
"That's part of for the separation. To see if he wants to stay with her or back with his wife and son. He has to make his choice."
"I've learned a lot about making choices in the last few days, mother. Choices can have good outcomes or bad outcomes. I'll be here to help you make the right choice and enjoy a good outcome."
His mother gave Lance a hug and told him they both needed to be strong to make it work.
The next morning Lance came down stairs to the smell of fresh coffee brewing.
"Good morning, sleepy head," his mother greeted him. "I was going to make breakfast but all I could find was cereal. Do you want to go out to eat?"
"No, cereal is fine. It's not so much the food as it is who I'm eating it with."
"Such a charmer. I can see why that boy didn't have a chance with you."
"That boy's name is Billy, mother, not that boy" he told her nicely.
"His first impression of me must have been horrible. I hope the next time I meet him, I can do better. You should bring him around sometime."
"I will. I'm sure he'll be as impressed with the new and improved mom as I am."
" I had a doctor's appointment scheduled for some tests this morning but I'm going to call and try and reschedule it so I can go with you to the funeral."
"I appreciate that mother, but your appointment is important. You keep your appointment and I can get a ride with Billy. Maybe he'll come back here with me after and you and he can get to know each other, the real you."
"Are you sure? I don't mind although it will be another three months before I can get another appointment."
"I'm fine, you go and I'll see you this afternoon."
Lance called Billy to see if he could get a ride with them. Of course Billy was glad he was going with them.
The next morning Margo, Lance's mother, told him she'd take him for a proper breakfast and then drop him off at his friend's house.
"His name is Billy, mother," he reminded his mother. I'll ask him to come over this afternoon for a real introduction." Lance figured even if she did have a drink after seeing her doctor, she wouldn't have time to get too drunk.
"I'd like that. Get ready and we will have time to get something to eat."
"I'm not really hungry, mother, just a donut and a chocolate milk from the donut shop will be fine."
"Not a very good breakfast but I can understand you're lack of appetite this morning."
They stopped at the donut store and then over to Billy's house. Lance got out of the car just as Billy's Mom came to the door. She waved to Margo and then came down the front walk to say hi to her. Lance looked over his shoulder, apprehensive about what their conversation would be about. After ten minutes, Mom came back into the house.
"I was glad I got to meet your mom, Lance. She seems like a very nice person, not at all like you described her," she said quite frankly.
"My mother told me she was going to try and do better at being a real mother again."
"I wish both of you the best. I know she means well, buy there will be good days and bad days ahead. I'm not saying this to be cruel or insulting, just truthful."
"Thank you. I know there will be some missteps along the way, but at least she is trying.."
"She invited Billy and Dad and myself to supper this Saturday at your house. I told her I wanted to make sure we hadn't made any plans yet. Actually I wanted to talk to you first and make sure that was okay with you."
"That would be fantastic! Tell her yes."
They arrived at the church early, knowing it would be crowded. Neither Lance nor Billy had ever been to a funeral before. The first funeral most young people attend will be for an elderly relative so it's not such a shock to them. Billy's Dad told them what they could expect and how to conduct themselves. He made sure they each had two handkerchiefs, one for tears and one for runny noses. It was already crowded so they ended up sitting near the rear of the church. Billy's Mom went into the pew first then the two boys and then Dad so the boys were between them. People in the other pews were either praying or sitting silently waiting for the preacher. Lance heard a murmur from the very back of the church and turned to look where it was coming from. It was his god damn father, handing out business cards and glad handing people who where standing in the back of the church. Billy saw Lance look back and saw Jack at work. He reached over and put his hand on Lance's thigh and squeezed it. Lance looked at him and Billy shrugged his shoulders.
The service began. Billy's Dad put his arm around Billy and his Mom put her arm around Lance. The two boys were holding hands, squeezing them to help them keep their composure and not break out sobbing.
It was a beautiful ceremony. At the very end, Fred's mom up to the pulpit to say a few words, not something a parent does at a typical funeral.
"First, I want to thank you all for coming. This show of support means so much to our family. Second, I have heard some rumors that some of Freddie's friends are feeling they are to blame for Fred's accident. You can stop that right now! No one is to blame but Freddie himself. Let me tell you about my Freddie. When he was five, his father was trying to teach him how to ride a bike. He spent an entire Sunday with him but Freddie couldn't get the hang of it. He went out to play the next day and came running in just before lunch all excited and was dragging me outside. He looked like he had lost a fight with a bobcat. His pants were torn, his knees and elbows were scrapped and bleeding, he had a small trickle of blood from his nose. I asked him what happened but he ignored that and told me to watch him. He climbed on his bike and rode up and down the street in front of our house like he had been riding a bike all his young life. His stubbornness kept him trying and trying until he succeeded, no matter how many times he fell and got hurt. In third grade he was playing on the playground with his friends. Some older boys were climbing on the jungle gym and were sitting up on top. Freddie decided he was going to climb up there and be like the older boys. He got up two levels and fell. The older boys all laughed at him and told him to stay on the ground where he belonged. Six more tries and six more falls, spraining his wrist on the sixth attempt. The older boys laughed even harder and told him to go home to his mommy. Freddie got up and climbed up to the top using one hand."
"Freddie was stubborn and never knew when to quit. It was the same with the jump over the washout. When you boys brought him home the first time, I absolutely forbid him to go back and try something that foolish again. But I knew he would. There was no way I could baby-sit him every waking hour so I prayed for the best when he would eventually try again. Unfortunately my prayers weren't answered. So Freddie and I share the blame alone, not any of you."
"And lastly, in the coming years you will be making choices, some small and inconsequential, some huge. Take a minute to stop and think about the choices you make and how they will affect you and your loved ones around you. This is the last funeral I want to attend until it's my own."
The preacher came back to the pulpit and announced that the burial would be private. However, everyone was invited to the repast at the VFW hall in town for refreshments.
Billy and Lance looked at Billy's dad with a look of confusion.
"A repast is an informal gathering where the mourners can get together and talk to one another. There are usually some snacks or small sandwiches and drinks. Would you boys like to attend that?"
"No, I think we'd just as soon go home," Billy answered. Lance nodded his head in agreement.
The preacher came down from the pulpit and stood at the casket. Six of the Fred's fellow football players stood up and went to each side of the casket. They were the pallbearers to carry Fred out of the church and into the hearse. Four of the cheerleaders assembled in front of the casket to walk in front of it as an honor guard. As they began to walk down the aisle, Fred's father and older brother had to help his mother so she didn't collapse as they fell in line behind the casket. Tears were flowing in all corners of the church, all except the very back corner where Jack was still trying to close a deal of some sort.
The football players gently carried Fred out of the church and slid the casket into the awaiting hearse. Fred's family got in the waiting limo and drove off, following the hearse to the cemetery.
"I have a lead to follow up on right now. Have to strike while the iron is hot, you know. You can get a ride home with your mother, right?" Jack came up to Lance, walking towards the door as he was talking.
"Yeah, father, don't worry about it. I have a ride."
Lance was so pissed off at his father for not even noticing that his mother wasn't at the funeral. He didn't want to make a scene so he just went along to get along. He felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Would you like a ride in the Murdock family taxi?" Billy's dad asked Lance.
Lance looked at him with a sad face.
"Thank you, I guess it's that or walk. Could you drop me at my house? My mother had a doctor's appointment this morning and I want to check on her."
"Certainly, Lance. Is she having problems?"
"No, she said it was just a routine check up and didn't want to reschedule it."
Lance went in the house and heard his Mother call out to him.
"I'm in the living room, Lance. Is your friend, excuse me, is Billy with you?"
Lance went in the living room and sat on the couch beside his Mother. He saw a partially filled wine glass on the coffee table.
"No coaster, Mother?' he asked sarcastically.
"Just one drink to celebrate my test results. They all came back negative."
"What tests? I thought this was just a routine visit? Are you sick?" Lance asked in desperation. Just when he thought things were going to improve with his mother, had she come down with some rare and fatal disease?
"No, dear, I'm not sick at all. Just routine tests do for a woman of my age, checking for breast cancer and things like that. I'm as healthy as a horse and you're going to have to put up with me for many more years." She laughed.
"Did they do any tests on your liver?" again with the sarcastic remark. As soon as he said it he wished he hadn't.
She looked at him, at first with anger, then with regret. Regret for the years she had spend drinking to excess and ignoring Lance.
"I was never like that, you know. Living with your father got more difficult every year. His demands for perfection, not for himself, but for his almighty reputation in this town were getting to me. It was like I was playing a part in a play. The drinking took the edge of the pressure at first. After we lost your sister, it became a way to avoid being the perfect housewife, hide in a bottle and never come out. Unfortunately I left you behind to deal with your own issues of trying to be the perfect son for him. I am so sorry. Now that he is gone, I have no reason to drink like I had been. I can be a real mother again and spend more time with you. It will take some time to wean myself off of the wine, but I'm determined to do it, for me, for you."
Lance hugged his Mother and spoke softly into her ear.
"I love you Mother. I never stopped loving you but the person you had become wasn't the real you. Neither was the person you were before you started drinking. Let's both work together to make a new you."
They sat and talked for an hour or more. She wanted to know all about Billy, Fred and all of his other friends. He told he about them as well as Rachel, his real friend and confidant. She was sorry that she couldn't be his confidant and hoped someday their relationship would get to that point.
Lance's mother she had to go do some shopping for some food and asked if he would like to come along. He opted to be dropped off at Billy's house. Billy's Mom and Dad had to go back to work after the funeral so Billy was alone at home. As much as he enjoyed talking with his mother, he really needed some alone time with Billy.
Lance waved goodbye to his mother and knocked on Billy's front door. Lance saw the curtain in the window move then Billy opened the door, wearing only his underwear.
"Hey boyfriend, Looks like you were expecting me," Lance said as he walked in past Billy.
Lance stopped dead in his tracks at Billy's less than enthusiastic welcome. Billy was nearly naked. Was he expecting someone else? Was there someone upstairs waiting for him? A totally unreasonable and unjustified panic set in.
"Hi Lance, what are you doing here? I thought you were spending the afternoon with your mother?"
"By the way you're dressed, or not dressed, I hope you were expecting me, or am I interrupting something?" he nervously asked. "I thought you might like some company."
"No, I wasn't expecting anyone. I was so keyed up from the funeral this morning I though I'd take a nice long hot shower to unwind."
"If I'm disturbing you I'll just run along," Lance offered reluctantly.
"My shower would be much more relaxing by myself," Billy stopped in mid sentence.
"Okay, talk to you later," a dejected Lance turned toward the door.
"But a shower with my boyfriend would be a hell of a lot more fun," Billy smiled. "You'll have to take off some of those clothes, though."
"How about all of them," Lance said as he ran toward the stairs, shedding his clothes as he went. By the time he hit the top of the stairs, his pants were all he had left on him and they were down to his knees.
"Do you always shower in your underwear?" Lance asked as he pulled the waistband and let it snap back against stomach.
The naked boys ran to the bathroom and started the water in the shower to get it hot. As soon as Billy felt it was perfect, he went to step in the shower.
"Wait!" yelled Lance, "not yet."
"What's wrong?"
"We have had our ceremonial kiss yet."
"Ceremonial kiss? What the heck are you talking about?"
"We had our first kiss, then we kissed before our first jerk off together, then we kissed before our first blowjob, and we kissed before our first fuck. It's tradition every time we do something for the first time. This will be our first shower together."
"You nutcase, we're always kissing. We don't need a reason."
"But isn't it better if we do," as Lance pulled Billy in for a tongue wrestling kiss. "There, now let's get in the shower before all the hot water is gone."
The boys got in the shower, turned around to get wet and then rubbed wet skin and stick cocks together as they continued their ceremonial kiss. Billy broke the kiss and grabbed the soap.
"Let me soap up that fucking awesome body of yours," Billy said, working up a lather and then rubbing Lance from top to bottom. "Turn around and let me get the back."
Lance turned around and leaned against the shower wall. After a few minutes of nothing happening, Lance turned his head to look at Billy.
"Well, are you going to stare at it all day or are you going to wash it?"
"It's just such a perfect ass. It's so round and white and smooth. I want to enjoy the view a little longer," Billy remarked.
"You're going to have a lot more opportunities to admire my ass. And fuck it too," Lance smirked.
Billy moved in closer and began to wash Lance's perfect ass. Or more correctly, to massage it and fondle it and play with it with his soapy hands. A cheek in each hand, the soap made the skin so slippery that Billy felt like he was covering every inch of ass with each hand movement. Finally he slid his fingers up and down Lance's ass crack, glossing over his hole quickly and softly. Lance moaned and wiggled his ass, wanting more attention to his pucker. Billy was teasing and still going right on past.
"Oh man, stick your finger in, will you? Or stick something in."
"Relax and enjoy the moment."
Billy pushed a finger into Lance with one hand and reached around and stroked his cock with the other soapy hand.
"Oh yes, finger my ass and stroke me. Stick your cock in me, I want it all," Lance pleaded.
"You are in such a rush. We have all afternoon so don't rush me.'
"Much more of this and I'll cum right here and now."
Billy pulled his finger out and let go of Lance's cock.
"Then it's time you washed me."
Lance turned around and they kissed, the water from the showerhead running on their heads and down their bodies. Billy raised his arms and spoke to Lance.
"Wash my body and make it clean and pure."
"I can make your body clean but you will still be a dirty little pervert," Lance laughed.
"I'll take what I can get," Billy smiled and closed his eyes.
Lance lathered his hands and began to wash Billy's front. He knew better than to spend too much times washing his cock and balls. He stooped down to wash his legs, a stiff wet cock staring him right in the face. Lance leaned in and took the cock in his mouth and ran his tongue over it then pulled off.
"You're not going to get to cum yet, either," Lance teased. "Now turn around."
"Okay but don't make fun of my hairy ass. It's not as nice as your smooth cheeks."
"We can fix that. Where does your father keep his razor?"
"Wait, no way I'm letting you get that close to my ass with a razor."
"You like my smooth ass, don't you?"
"Of course, but you're just lucky that way."
"Lucky I haven't knicked myself yet," Lance gigglged.
"What? You shave your ass? Why the hell would you do that?"
"I did it when I was hoping you'd fuck me. I didn't want you grossed out by a hairy hole."
"I don't think I'd be grossed out but you're right smooth is king. Do you think my ass is gross?"
"No, but it would look better all shaved up nice and pretty."
"I suppose. Be real careful. I don't know how the hell I would explain a trip to the hospital to have my ass sown back on."
He told Lance where to find his dad's razor. Lance came back in the shower and told Billy to bend over more. He parted Billy's cheeks and applied lots of soap. He carefully worked his way from under his balls to the top of his crack and back again.
"You're really hairy so it will take a few passes. We just have to remember to wash all the long hairs out of his razor. You dad will think you had grown a beard."
When Lance first started shaving, Billy's cock had gone limp with trepidation about a razor that close to his ass. The more attention Lance was giving Billy's cheeks, the more his cock came back to life. Looking between his legs, Lance could see the limp dick that once hung down was no longer visible, rising back up to its aroused position pointing towards the ceiling. Lance finished shaving and directed the shower water down Billy's back and over his ass, washing away all the soap.
"Now that is one smooth ass, good enough to kiss."
Before Billy could react, Lance parted his cheeks and ran his tongue up and down the crack, stopping at Billy's pucker.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Billy yelled.
"Admiring my work. Every great artist gets to sign his work. I'm signing mine with a kiss."
He pushed his tongue against Billy's hole and wiggled it around. Billy moaned and murmured something Lance couldn't understand. He kept at it until he could push his tongue just inside.
"Damn it Lance, what you're doing is disgusting!" Billy finally said out loud.
"Do you want me to stop?"
"Hell no. If you keep that up I might cum without touching myself"
"Can't let that happen. I want to be around front when that happens."
Billy felt the water from the shower getting cooler.
"I think we better get out, we've used up all the hot water."
They dried of and headed to Billy's bedroom.
"What would you like to do now?" Billy asked with a smirk on his face.
"Anything, as long as it's with you. Maybe take a nap?" Lance teased.
"Okay. I think I'll have an erotic dream. I'll dream that I'm in my own bed with my lover. He is naked and has a magnificent boner. We start to kiss, gently and slowly at first, then more passionate and physical. We are thrashing around on the bed, our mouths and tongue trying their best to devour each other. Our body twist and turn, our arms and legs intertwined in a tangle of flesh. Our precum is leaking from our hard cocks, leaving gooey streaks across our bodies. Suddenly my lover breaks his kiss and looks at me, 'I want you, I want all of you' he says as he lowers his head and extends his tongue, licking the tip of my cock clean of my precum. He opens his mouth wide and takes me in as completely as he can. He stops when he gags and backs off just enough to stop gagging. He fondles my balls with one hand and tweaks my left nipple with the other. Slowly, with lots of pressure and tongue movement, he moves up and down almost withdrawing all the way and then plunging back down to his gag point. My hips are thrusting to meet his mouth when I suddenly realize I won't last much longer before I reach the tipping point. I quickly push his head off me and let my wet cock slap against my stomach. 'What's wrong?' he asks. You're having all the fun, I reply. I swing around so my face is in his crotch and his face in mine. We give each other that knowing look and move in each take a leaky boner in our mouths. We are sucking cock and fondling balls when my lover pulls me on top of him, keeping our cocks firmly in place. I try to support my weight to not smother him but he pulls my ass cheeks to him, forcing my cock into him further than his gag point. I pull back but he pulls me in again and again, trying to get past that point and take my down his throat. I'm sucking him but not being able to getpast my gag spot. My lover is taking me deeper and deeper until he has me totally engulfed, then holds me there. Feeling his nose nestled in my pubic hairs and his finger now playing with my hole has pushed me over the edge. My cock throbs as it pumps spurt after spurt of cum directly down his throat. My orgasm has set him off and he shoots into my mouth, swallowing as much as I can, the rest coming out of my mouth and onto his groin. Exhausted we lie side by side, a hand resting on each others stomachs."
Lance has been slowing stroking his cock while listening to Billy's story he made up about a dream.
"We eventually speak, 'Damn, Mike that was fucking hot'" Billy finished his story.
"Mike? Mike! You fucking shit head. You were dreaming about Mike? He is your lover?" Lance screamed, knowing he had been pranked.
Billy broke out laughing so hard he nearly fell off the bed. That didn't matter though as Lance pushed him off onto the floor. Then he dove off the bed after him and began to tickle him everywhere. He knew Billy was extremely ticklish so he was not going to stop.
"Okay, enough!" Billy cried for mercy. "Stop before I piss myself."
"I should piss on you myself for that dream."
"I'm sorry, actually I'm not. The look on your face as I was telling it was hot but then when I said Mike, I thought the top of your head was going to explode," Billy laughed.
The skin on skin contact had both boys hard again. Lance was on top of Billy and still tickling him when he suddenly stopped and leaned down to kiss him.
"I should teach you not to fuck with me," Lance said as he sat up and grabbed Billy's legs, lifting them in the air. He pulled him back so Lance's cock was poking Billy's ass. "You want to fuck with me, maybe I'll fuck with you."
He pressed his cock up against Billy's pucker and suddenly it became real. Billy's lost all expression and just lay still. Lance stopped when he realized that Billy wasn't ready for this yet. A finger in his hole, but not Lance's cock. He tried to make light of the situation and laugh it off.
"Oh, that's right, you want Mike to take your ass for the first time," he laughed.
Billy sat up and hugged Lance.
"No, you're the only one ever going there. I'm sorry I pranked you. It was mean."
"It's all good. It was funny. But now can we get back to your dream with a different lover in your bed?" Lance asked pointing at himself.
They got back on the bed and followed the story line of Billy's 'dream', side by side and sucking each other's cocks. Lance could feel he was getting close and stopped.
"I want your cum inside me, but not my mouth. You game?" Lance asked.
"I am, but I still don't think I'm ready to return the favor."
"I know you're not and I don't want you to until you're ready. Better yet, until you're craving it."
Lance went to the bathroom to get some lube. He slathered it generously on Billy's cock and was about to lube his ass when Billy told Lance that he wanted to do it. Lance smiled and rolled over on his stomach. Billy squeezed some lube in his hand and ran his hand up and down Lance's ass crack. He inserted a finger and pushed it in and out. Once he was done, he sat back and looked at Lance.
"You have the most gorgeous ass in the whole world. I can't stop admiring it."
"Yours is much nicer now that it's shaved."
"Thanks. I hope no one else notices."
Not unless they get down and spread your cheeks for an inspection," Lance laughed. "Now quit looking and start fucking."
Billy did as he was told and moved forward to be in position. He pressed against Lance and felt his hole give way to welcome him in. He stopped and waited until Lance told him to go further. When he was all the way in he remembered the first time he had experienced the feeling of Lance's warm love tunnel firmly gripping his cock. Lance would tighten his sphincter muscle when Billy drew back, grabbing his cock and not wanting it to withdraw. Lance would relax his ass to welcome Billy back in when he thrust forward. Billy knew it wouldn't take long to climax after the foreplay they had enjoyed. He kept fucking at a slow pace, trying different angles to try and hit Lance's sweet spot. It worked. Lance enjoyed his first hands free orgasm and shot his load on the bed. His ass tightened up in response to his climax and literally squeezed the cum out of Billy. They lay still, trying to catch their breath.
"So, was that better than Mike?" Lance asked jokingly.
"Considering Mike is straight and I would never, ever have any desire to do anything with him sexually, or anyone else for that matter, yeah, that was better." Billy shot back. "I'm still sorry about that. You know I was only teasing you and didn't mean to upset you."
"I had my doubts about you for about a nanosecond. If I lost you to anyone, I would be devastated. You are my rock that keeps me sane."
"I guess I'm not doing a very good job then, you crazy fucker," Billy giggled.
"You're doing as good as can be expected."
They got up and cleaned up so they could be dressed before Lance's mother came to pick him up. They sat on the couch in the living room, hugging and kissing. Lance's mother knocked on the door and the boys went to meet her. They exchanged pleasantries and then were ready to leave.
"See you at school tomorrow?" Lance asked.
"For sure. I'm glad we could solve that math problem today that we've been working on."
Lance's mother had gone down the front steps when Lance looked back at Billy.
"The math problem?"
"You know, one and one makes one," he explained as he pointed to Lance then himself and then held up two fingers crossed.
"Oh, yes, that one," Lance smiled and skipped down the front walk to catch up with his mother. He certainly did like Billy's help with, ahem, math.
Author's note: There was no cliffhanger this time but there was no epilogue either. There are more chapters to come with more crises and more fun to be had by all.
