Carter and the Biker Boy
Chapter 16
Parker and I woke up to the sound of Parker's mom knocking on his bedroom door telling us that it was time to get up if we both wanted to eat a nice home cooked breakfast. I had fallen back asleep after nearly having a massive wet dream that involved Parker, Dylan, Javy and myself wrestling in the basement of Parker's house wearing nothing but jock straps. Thankfully, just before I exploded into my boxer briefs, Parker woke me up wondering why I had been tossing and turning and mumbling like crazy. We both fell back asleep, and when we woke up to the sound of his mom knocking on his bedroom door, we were both facing away from each other. As I glanced over my shoulder still half asleep, I couldn't help but notice that as Parker woke up he was definitely sporting some morning wood, just like me.
"Sure Mom, we're getting up now, and will be out in a few minutes." Parker responded. He looked at me, smiled and said "Good morning Carter, how did you sleep? Do you remember me waking you up while you were tossing and turning and mumbling?"
"Oh, yeah, sorry, I guess I was overly tired or something. I was having a strange dream; you know one of those weird dreams." That was all I could think of saying at the moment and Parker quickly responded back to my half-asleep response as he winked at me.
"Sure, I get it. One of THOSE dreams huh?" I must have turned red because then he just tried to tickle my stomach which almost made me scream out loud and laugh at the same time, which caused him to try to stifle my scream with his pillow. Now I was laughing, and he was too. Today was going to be a great day, and as we both got out of bed seemingly unaware of our own erections, we quickly threw on sweatpants and tee shirts to have breakfast. Parker's mom made us waffles with fresh blueberries on top, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage links. Along with a nice tall glass of milk, we ate like kings and were now ready to head out on our adventure with our bikes. The events of the previous night were still on my mind, and I couldn't stop thinking about how exciting it was to feel Parker's tight muscular body against mine as we wrestled on the mat in his basement. My only hope would be that he felt the same things I felt.
As we took our bikes out of the garage, the crisp September air greeted us with a hope of another warm day. The forecast sure promised a sunny and warm day, perfect for biking most of the day, but did state that midday there could be a few renegade pop up style of thunderstorms permeating the area. The forecaster did say that these wouldn't last long, but could have the potential for short, heavy, downpours. We each decided to take a small backpack with some bananas, apples, fruit snacks, granola, and of course a couple big bottles of water. Parker's mom told us that his dad and her were going out for the day and for us to make sure we had enough snacks to keep us going until we made it back home. Just to be on the safe side, she gave Parker twenty dollars that he stuffed in his pocket. I was somewhat surprised at the amount of freedom Parker had, because it seemed at first that his parents included him in their travels and activities, but it turned out that it was not the truth. As Parker explained, his parents were more than happy to leave him at home or let him spend time at his friend's house so they could be together. This kind of made me sad thinking about how like me, he got used to spending time alone.
Our backpacks were now ready and so were our bikes. After strapping on our helmets, we took off for Rock Cut Park. First we had to retrace the path we took last night all the way up to the forest preserve district office, where we headed east across the Rock River along Harlem Road which led us to the southwest corner of the park, some three miles east of the river. As we rode north over the bridge above the creek, we doubled back and were now on the path that went east into the park. Had we ridden back west, we would have wound up at the high school, a place neither of us wanted to go on a Saturday. So east we went. After another half hour of meandering through the trails in the park, we were finally at the base of the rock formation where I spent several days alone during the summer reading. We parked our bikes, hiked up to the top of the rock outcropping and Parker was amazed at the view of the forest valley beneath us. A few splashes of yellow and orange leaves could be seen on the tops of the trees, almost as if an enormous brush was shaken, its vibrant fall colors of paint dripping on the treetops.
"Whoa dude, this is pretty cool. So you would come up here during the summer to read, huh?"
I replied that I did and told Parker that it was one of my favorite spots in the park, as he could now attest, it wasn't really easy to get here. I almost told him about how Dylan and I almost got caught on the rock by the guy and girl that came up to the rock a few weeks ago, but felt I'd best keep my mouth shut and not tell him just yet.
"Yeah the cool thing about this spot is that not too many people hike out this far, or so I thought. But during the week when I came out here I mostly had the rock to myself. If I didn't come out here to read, I'd still sit out here for an hour or so to think."
"Really? Cool. So what would you think about, I mean sitting here for an hour to think seems... kinda..." It was like Parker was searching for words to really describe what he thought about me spending an hour just sitting on the rock thinking. Like if it was me being philosophical or something like that being a deep thinker. I really thought he was going think that it was totally weird when his response caught me by surprise. "...cool. I mean it is neat that you have a place to think clearly and solve your problems, right? Or did you use the time to contemplate like issues of the world, you know, to be like Plato or one of those crazy philosophers?"
All I could do was laugh at Parker's response. That's what I like about him. He's not like other guys I've known who would purposely try to embarrass me for the guy I am. But just when I thought he was going to get into a deep meaningful conversation with me, he almost made me laugh so hard that I thought I was going to fall off the rock.
"Hey Carter, I bet I can piss farther than you can." As he stood up to lower his shorts and pulled out his dick, I couldn't help but jump up and accept his challenge. Since there wasn't much room on the rock, we stood nearly side by side and of course I couldn't help but look down at his mostly' soft dick in his hand. "Come on man, are you ready? Loser has to... let me think." I now had my mostly' soft dick in my hand and as we both began to pee, the arc of our streams cascaded out about five feet from our dicks before it fell to the ground some twenty feet or so below. We were just about done, with Parker's arc going just about a foot further and he was about to proclaim himself the winner and tell me what I had to do when we heard voices below us, seemingly climbing up the rock. "Uh oh, Carter, sounds like someone is coming up. Quick, we'd better get going!"
As we scrambled to grab our backpacks, low and behold the khaki colored hat of a park ranger came into view as he was ascending the rock. Thankfully we were done peeing and not caught in the act or depending on what Parker was going to make me do as the loser, getting caught doing whatever that might have been.
"Morning boys, nice day for a hike in the park, eh?" he asked, looking us in the eyes as if he was trying to figure out if we were up to no good or were just hanging out relaxing and enjoying the view.
"Yes sir, it is a great day for a hike and a bike ride in the park. This is a cool rock, and the view is awesome." I quickly responded.
"Well gentlemen, I just wanted to tell you to be very careful up on this rock formation. It can be slippery in the morning from a heavy dew the night before, and if you're not used to climbing on it, you can lose your balance easily. It is definitely not a place to be horsing around or doing something you're not supposed to do." I could sense that Parker was thinking about coming back with a rude comment to the park ranger's statement, so quickly I responded.
"Yes sir, I agree with you. I've been coming to this spot all summer and certainly respect the rules of the park and know not to do anything stupid. My mom is an ER nurse and I've heard all of the horror stories of people who have fallen off places like this."
"Okay boys, I'll let you carry on with your day. Heed the advice of your mother and think before you all do something dumb and wind up in the ER with a broken arm, leg, or worse yet a concussion." Enjoy the rest of your day in the park, and please be careful."
"Thank you sir, we will." We both replied, trying to keep from being disrespectful as we made our way back to our bikes.
"What a dick!" Parker commented as we rode away, now heading east towards the lake that is situated in the middle of the park.
"Yeah, but I guess he just has a job to do. But hey we can go to the lake and have something to munch on, whatta ya say?" Parker responded that he thought that was a great idea, since it had been almost two hours since we'd eaten breakfast. When we reached the dam on the western end of the manmade lake that consumed just over 160 acres of land, we rode on a newer blacktop bike path that took us over to the south side of the lake where several picnic tables were scattered under mature oak and maple trees that were on a grassy slope that led from the parking area to the water's edge some hundred yards or so below. We rode our bikes to a picnic table that was the closest to the water, about five feet from the shore, located under a huge oak tree.
I took my bottle of water and some granola out of my pack; Parker took a banana and water out of his. We sat next to each other facing the water, first in silence almost at a loss for words, Until Parker spoke.
"So what did you think about wrestling last night? Do you think you'd like to learn and maybe try out for the wrestling team in the fall?" His impish grin made me believe that he was trying to ask me more about how it felt wrestling him rather than the idea of signing up for the wrestling team. I thought for a moment, then responded.
"I thought it was cool, I mean, knowing the moves and all. And yeah, I think it might be cool to sign up for wrestling at school. But like I said before, I'm like just not very athletic. I don't know how I'd do."
"Don't worry dude, I'm willing to teach you the moves that I know, and if we practice together, then you will know the moves and wrestling techniques, and get in shape, and help keep me sharp with my skills until actual practice does start, that is of course if you're cool about starting to practice like, now?"
The idea of feeling Parker's strong, lean, and cute body against mine was starting to get me hard, but then of course I had to say something that screwed it up. I regretted saying it just as soon as the words left my mouth. "But I'm just not sure if I'd like being in a ring with other sweaty guys, and you know..." Almost instantly I saw a look of sadness come across Parker's face.
"But it's not that bad, and um, don't worry, most of the guys I've wrestled aren't like weirdos or anything like that. We just like the sport for what it is -- trying to develop discipline, our minds, bodies and maintain good physical health by eating right and all of that. Honestly, I think wrestling might help you in those areas, plus you know, maybe help you get self-confidence to not let those loser idiots bother you."
Now I was getting mixed messages from Parker. I was almost sure that he enjoyed wrestling with me as much as I did with him last night. I am pretty sure I felt him, and I'm sure he felt me. So now he was trying to save face and throw me off track. His mixed message suddenly confused me. I thought for a moment before responding, and really almost wanted to ask him why he thought I didn't have self-confidence, and was kind of bothered by it, but then I thought he might be right, so opted for a damage control approach instead.
"You know what, you might be right. So you really think wrestling would teach me all of that?"
The smile returned to Parker's face. "Oh heck yeah I do! And I only say that because I saw it with my friends in my last school in Texas. In fact, I can face time with my friend Luis right now and he can tell you about his experience. How does that sound?"
"Um, sure. It would be cool to meet one of your friends from Texas!" I quickly replied.
"Cool, let me see if he answers" A few rings into the call and Luis picked up.
"Hola guey! (pronounced "way" meaning dude) Que tal, joto (faggot)?" Luis emphatically answered the face time call from Parker. The look on Parker's face went from happy to immediate fear when he heard Luis call him a faggot.
"Bien, Cabron (Good, asshole). I am here with my new amigo Carter, and cool it on the swear words, he speaks Spanish."
"No problem guey. How is la vida loca in Illinois?"
"Eh, I miss Tejas and miss you, cabron. But what can I do?" Parker replied, a little more relaxed. "But it's okay. I got my new friend Carter who's pretty cool. I think you'd like him. I'm just trying to talk him into joining the wrestling team. So I thought I'd get you to tell him about your experience and how it helped. How we had fun and all."
Neither of us was prepared for Luis' response. If my thoughts and suspicions were true about Parker, what Luis was about to tell me only served to prove my thoughts true.
"So you've only been in Illinois less than a month and you've already got a new boyfriend and already forgotten about me, maricon (faggot)? Geez, all those times together and you promised me you'd never forget about me. Remember that time down by the creek when you professed.."
Parker was now red-faced and cut him off immediately. "Alright dude that's enough, I don't think Carter wants to hear your sad wannabe love story. Really, he just wants to hear about wrestling, please?"
Luis' face turned from having a huge grin to now taking a more serious tone. He really resembled my cousin Javy, except he didn't have long curly black hair like Javy. His hair was buzzed close to his scalp, and his skin was definitely darker. While it was easy to see that him and Parker shared a close friendship, it wasn't so crystal clear as to if he was joking about Parker and him doing gay stuff together. Nonetheless, I felt the excitement growing in my boxer briefs.
"Sorry dude. I just miss you so much that I had to give you some mierda (shit). It's not the same this year in school without you here. So Carter, yeah, I have to tell you that your new amigito Parker got me into wrestling and it did change me. I used to be a skinny chico who got picked on in school and had no muscles. But your boy there got me into wrestling and Taekwondo and now no one messes with me. Look, I even have some baby guns here." Luis flexed his arms, showing off a nicely developed bicep. "You should go for it and my boy there will help you, no doubt."
"Gracias, Luis. Es cierto que Parker es un buen amigo. Ya lo sabe, claro que si." I told Luis that I knew Parker was a good friend. We talked for a few more minutes and then Luis told us he had to get going with his family to the tienda (store). Parker told him he'd face time Luis again soon and the two closed the call, and I noticed a tear forming in the corner of Parker's left eye.
"So you see, Luis noticed the difference and I think you can too. So what do you think?" Parker asked, leaving the door wide open for me to ask about his friendship with Luis. I so wanted to but couldn't form the words.
"Yeah, I think he's right and you sound like the perfect friend and all to help me out. I would really appreciate it and could definitely use the training and all that goes with it." I couldn't help but wink at Parker, but I don't think he caught on. I think he was just glad I didn't ask him about what Luis said about me being his new boyfriend.
"Okay, cool. It's a deal, bro!" Parker extended his right hand to me, and we shook hands -- his firm grip nearly crushing my weaker grip.
We decided to continue our ride. In fact, after we rode out of the park on the north exit and continued along the state highway 173 going east. I had heard about the bike path that went through the eastern part of our county into the next, going about five miles or so until the Long Prairie trail crossed the highway and continued on east for another ten miles. Despite having to ride along the highway, we rode east until we reached the entrance to the trail on the right side of the rode. We decided to head east on the trail, and about an hour later we reached the little town of Capron where the trail officially ended. We stopped at a little ice cream/barbecue place, and each ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a lemonade. The little restaurant looked like a small barn, but it was super cool. Luckily Parker brought a $20 bill with him, and we nearly spent it all on our little snacks. While eating at a small picnic table we talked about the ride and just how great the day had turned out to be. A short half hour later, we figured that we'd better start biking back home, since it was close to 1:30 pm, and we still had almost two hours of riding to do.
The mostly sunny day had now given way to some high puffy clouds, you know, the ones that can form into thunderstorms eventually. But with our bellies filled and a slight breeze from the south, we were making decent time biking back to home. We had made it back through Rock Cut State Park about an hour later and were now biking along Harlem Road, heading to the final leg of the path that ran along the Rock River. We were cruising along through Sportscore when suddenly the sky turned dark, and we glanced up to see what looked like an angry storm cloud heading right towards us. Sure enough, moments later the winds picked up, tossing any paper trash straight at us, which was quickly followed by a gust of rain cooled air, which was followed by a massive downpour. We were stuck in the middle of a pop-up thunderstorm complete with wind, rain, lightning, and thunder. Two of the soccer games that were in progress on the north side of the path quickly ceased, with the players and fans all running for cover in their cars or under any of the tents that the spectators were using. We kept pedaling as fast as we could go, hoping to reach the now crowded shelter on the west end of the parking lot. Since almost everyone from the games were now under the shelter, there was no room for us, so we kept pedaling along the path heading for the trees. The rain was subsiding a little, but I was more concerned about lightning hitting the trees on the bluff thus sending branches and trees to crash down on the path below. Doing the best we could do, we continued flying down the path. Sideways glances revealed rivulets of water cascading down the limestone rock formations as they headed to the bike path. Thankfully our mountain bikes sailed through without a problem, and soon we emerged from the woods, having mastered the twisted path as it rose some forty feet from the rivers' edge to Riverside Boulevard. Thankfully the stoplight at the intersection where the path crossed from north to south turned quickly, allowing us to cross the road, and with the rain now tapering off to a shower, we carefully rode down the side pedestrian bridge, crossed back under the automobile bridge, and headed along East drive north to Parker's house.
We were drenched. Parker opened the overhead garage door so we could put our bikes inside the garage. Our shoes squished with water; our clothes clung to our soaked bodies leaving almost nothing to the imagination. As we looked at each other, we laughed loudly at how silly we must have looked, but I have to admit I was getting turned on seeing Parker's wet clothes and how they hung on him. I'm pretty sure he enjoyed the sight of me as well, as it appeared that like me, he was growing.
"I think we had better take our clothes off here, well at least down to our undies otherwise my mom will be pissed if we get her floor wet." Parker said as he pulled off is soaked tee shirt.
"Fine by me," I replied, doing this same. We were now wearing nothing but our briefs, which clung to our lean, wet bodies. I was close enough to see that goose bumps had formed on Parker's skin, his nipples were taught, and the rain soaked briefs had the same effect as just getting out of a cold pool on a not so warm day. You get the idea, right? I felt the same, and couldn't resist rubbing my fingers across my smooth, wet abs and chest.
"Come on, let's go inside and we can take some hot showers and get into something warm." Parker was smiling, and we went to his room where he got out a pair of briefs and sweatpants from his dresser. I got the same from the pile of clothes that were in my backpack, and we headed to the bathroom. I wasn't sure how he planned on us both showering, but if it was both of us in the tub shower, I was afraid I'd be hard as a rock, and am most certain he would be as well.
His suggestion, however, surprised me.
"There is a big shower downstairs, and we can both shower at the same time, if you want? I mean it's okay if you don't want to, but it's cool if you do. Did you and Javy shower together when you would stay at his house?"
I was sort of shocked at his question, but completely lured into whatever Parker wanted to do. So I answered his question truthfully. "Yes, we used to shower together when we were kids, but haven't done so for almost two years. I guess since we've started growing, well, you know." Now I started to laugh and giggle at my response, and Parker was laughing too.
"Okay cool, because Luis and I showered together after wrestling practices and matches at school, and when we spent the night at each other's houses we'd shower together whenever we could. Remember we were like brothers almost and didn't think it was weird or did anything weird."
"Yeah, same with me and Javy," I replied trying to keep my secret about me and Javy still a secret.
Parker grabbed his clothes, I grabbed mine and we both went downstairs to the huge bathroom that just happened to be next to what looked to be a six person hot tub.
"Hey, I didn't think about this: we can jump in the hot tub too before we shower. Wanna do that?"
"Sure! I've never been in one so this would be my first time."
"Cool. Help me take the cover off. I'll make sure the water is okay." Sure enough, the water was fine, and before I knew it, Parker had slipped off his underwear and was now sitting inside the hot tub on the opposite side of the steps that led to the tub. "Come on dude, the water is nice, and you can take your undies off too. We'll go from here to the shower."
Now I had to take them off, as it seemed like Parker planned this all along. So as I slipped them down and tried to walk up the steps quickly and get in the tub, our eyes met as climbed into the bath water-like warm tub. I did catch his glance down to my not so limp dick just before I slipped into the water. As he looked back up at me, I could tell by the slight grin on his face he must have liked what he seen, despite not saying anything. Then he spoke, changing the subject completely.
"I really love the hot tub. Dad bought it in Texas, and we kept it on our covered patio. It was so cool going out there at night after a wrestling match or working out. I think that is what helped me relax so much. Do you like it?"
"Oh yeah, man. The water feels great! I could stay in here all afternoon, but I suppose our skin would get shriveled up, huh?"
"You're too funny, Michaels. Yeah, shriveled skin wouldn't be a good thing, now would it?"
I responded that it wouldn't be and then the subject of music came up and we began talking about our favorite bands and singers. I really started relaxing and actually became quite comfortable being naked in the hot tub with Parker. After about twenty minutes though, we decided to get out and shower. We took the short five foot walk from the tub to the shower and Parker was right, it was huge! It was almost twice the size of the hot tub, with three shower jets: one on each of the three sides of the shower, with the glass door being in the front. Parker regulated the temperature of the water, and we were now soaping up and letting the warm water cascade down each other. I felt comfortable facing him and we checked each other out, giving a short giggle as we were acutely aware of each other's nakedness. Parker spoke first.
"Dude do you like shave your pubes, or do you not have any yet?" I laughed nervously at his question, but just burst out with my response.
"Shave my pubes? Are you kidding? I don't have enough to shave, just a few hairs on my balls, and they just started growing." Then I commented on his hair. "I see you've got a nice patch there. Ever thought about shaving it?"
"Actually, yeah, I did at first. I did shave it just before the summer started. Funny thing is, Luis did too. He thought it would be cooler that way. I just didn't like it growing back, it got itchy. Guess I like seeing my pubes there, know what I mean?"
"Ugh well since I haven't had pubes yet, I'd like to find out first before I think about shaving them off." We were both laughing now, and the talk about pubic hairs made our dicks start to grow. At first Parker faced the wall as he lathered up his upper body, but then when he turned around to rinse off his back, I couldn't help but notice that his circumcised dick was fully hard and was now tight against his pubic hair. The sight of his hard on got me hard, with mine doing the same, up tight against my smooth groin. I think Parker was going to suggest that we do something when we heard a noise upstairs, like a door shut and footsteps walking across the floor above us. His smile eroded quickly, and he shut off the water just in time to hear his mom open the basement door and call his name. He grabbed one of the towels from the pile on the cabinet next to the shower door, and frantically began to towel off. He gave me a towel and I quickly did the same. We had just put on our clean and dry underwear and sweats when his mom started walking down the steps to the basement. Parker met her part way so she would not see me get out of the shower.
"Oh hi honey, how was your bike ride? Did you and Carter get wet? I saw your wet clothes in the garage. Thanks for not tracking water in the house. Did you boys shower?"
"Hi mom, yeah we had an awesome bike ride -- there are some really neat trails here. We rode for almost like four hours and yes, we got caught by a thunderstorm about a mile from home in the park across the river. We were both cold, so we warmed up in the hot tub and just got done showering. How was your day? Did you and Dad have fun?"
"Yes dear, we did have a great day. Dad took me to this great outlet mall about thirty miles east of Madison. Then we drove down to a place called Lake Geneva and had an awesome lunch. You would love it there! There is a beautiful beach, and the lake is nice for boating. Maybe next year we can plan a trip there on a weekend and you can bring Carter with too!" I bet you boys are hungry! Let's order from that Chinese place on Riverside. Do you know if Carter likes Chinese?"
As I nodded my head yes, Carter replied to his mom. "That'd be fine, Mom, Carter likes Chinese and going to Lake Jemeeba or whatever you called it sounds fun." We both looked at each other breathed a sigh of relief. It would have been quite uncomfortable if Parker's mom would have seen us in the shower with our boners. But maybe she wouldn't have cared, especially if what Parker said was true about him and Luis. I just couldn't help but wonder if he and Parker fooled around when they used to sleep over at each other's houses. I could only hope, right?
I was having so much fun with Parker that I forgot to check my phone. I had a missed call and a message from my mom, and I also had a text from Dylan. First I checked the message from my mom. She wandered if I was coming home this evening and if I was to make sure to turn the lights on before I headed out again. Also she just wanted to make sure I was doing okay and to text her to let her know how I was doing. I quickly texted her and told her that all was fine and that I would definitely turn on the lights at home.
Dylan's text was from a few minutes ago at 5:15 pm. He was wondering if my plans included going to his party. Honestly, going to his party had slipped my mind since Parker and I had been having so much fun. Part of me really wanted to go to his party, while the majority part of me preferred to stay with Parker. I was contemplating what to do when Parker came back downstairs after giving his mom our order for Chinese food. He wasn't too happy, and it sounded like he was arguing with his parents before he came downstairs.
"Dude, I am not very happy right now." For the first time since I'd met him, he was totally upset and not in control of his emotions, nearly on the edge of crying. "My mom said that it would be best if you didn't stay over tonight. We have to get up really early tomorrow and go to Chicago to pick up my Aunt and Uncle at the airport. They are flying in for a visit, and we have to leave at like five o'clock in the morning to pick them up at 7. I'm sorry. This makes me so upset. I really wanted to spend more time with you. I hope you're not mad?"
"Oh, um, no, I understand. That's fine. I probably need to be home tonight anyway. I can leave after dinner. But hey we had the first of many fun times together, I hope, right? I mean you're like definitely one of the nicest guys I've met, and I think we're going to be best friends for a long time, don't you think?" And just like that, his cute smile returned, the one that makes me melt when I see it.
"Yeah guey, claro que si. Eres mi major amigo, sin duda." (yeah dude, that is true. You're my best friend, without a doubt.) I was not surprised as he high fived me and pulled me into a strong hug. He felt so good in my arms and our embrace probably lasted a few seconds longer than it should have, but neither of us complained, and was broken up by the ringing of the doorbell.
"Parker, Carter, dinner is here!" Parker's dad yelled down the stairway to us. It was time to eat.
Dinner went well. I enjoyed my usual Chinese meal of Sweet and Sour Chicken. We each had a couple of Crab Rangoons, and a Chicken egg roll. When the meal was done, I helped Mrs. Nelson and Parker pick up the dishes, impressing his mom.
"Well thank you for helping, Carter! Your mom sure raised you right!" I smiled and told her that it was no problem, that since they bought me dinner it was the least I could do to show my appreciation. I did thank her and Mr. Nelson as well as Parker for letting me stay over.
After we finished in the kitchen, Parker and I went into his room, and I gathered up my dry clothes and put them into my backpack. Parker told me that his mom would wash my wet clothes and that I could pick them up tomorrow or whenever. Everything now in my backpack, I slung it over my shoulders and was ready to ride back home. I said good-bye to Parker's mom and dad, then headed to the garage. Parker looked sad, but then I told him maybe we could get together tomorrow afternoon or Monday even. He nodded, smiled, and then agreed that we could do that. I got on my bike and waved good-bye to my new best friend and headed home.
On the quick ride home, my mind was racing. I decided to text Dylan and go to his party and planned to spend the night. The urge to take care of my pent up energy when I got home was completely overwhelming but knowing what fun might lie ahead when Dylan's friends left was reason enough to take a cold shower before going to his house. So after putting my bike in the garage and going in the house, I sent Dylan this text:
< Hey Dylan, too late to come to your party?
< Carter-man, I was just thinking about you! Not late at all! You need a ride?
< I can ride my bike.
< Dude! I got my license and a car! I can pick you up!
< Sweet, I'll be ready. Give me a few minutes, K?
< K (Smiley face emoji) see you in 15 mins.
