Carter and the biker boy
Chapter 35
I must have had a horrified look on my face after Mom told me the news about a student at Harlem who was beaten up by his own father after he came out as gay to him. My problem is that I'm a bit naïve I suppose, and just because my family accepts me for who I am, I guess that I think every parent should accept their son or daughter when they come out as being gay like me.
I now know that my assumption is anything but the truth, and that I am horribly wrong.
I didn't know David prior to what happened to him as he decided to tell his parents who he really was. It wasn't difficult to spot him as he walked down the hallway in the math wing of the school the week after his dad broke his arm and left him with bruises on his arm and face. Wearing a black sweatshirt with the rainbow pride flag on the front and a cast from his wrist up to his shoulder on his right arm, I felt like crying the minute he walked past me on his way to his next class.
I had not yet met David, but it was easy to see the hurt and pain in his eyes. I wanted to introduce myself to him, but since it looked like he was at least a junior, I felt it was best to find a better time to talk to him. First, he'd probably wonder how I'd known, and second, he might not even want to talk to a lowly Freshman. Who knows, and if the opportunity presented itself in the future, I'd definitely talk to him. If one of his friends hadn't called his name, I'd have not known who he was yet.
Parker and I did talk about what happened to this David guy. Our conversation was good, but it only served to push Parker further away from making the same mistake with his parents that David made with his.
"How do you know for sure that your dad would react the same way to you as David's father did with him?" I asked him one afternoon while we were studying in the library after school.
"I just know. While I would hope it wouldn't be bad, I am sure my dad would not take that type of news favorably. My mom on the other hand, I don't know. All I know is that I'm just not at the point of where I'm close to coming out."
I knew quite well how he felt, and just as before I reassured him that I'd never pressure him to make that decision.
Parker smiled at me with his usual sexy smile, prompting us to hug, then kiss, and then, once we were back at my house, well... you know...
****** Last day of school, early June.
"One more final babe, and then it's Hello Summer! Can you believe it?"
Parker sat back in the uncut grass, underneath the shade of the old silver maple tree, near the creek that ran behind the school. Several robins were singing their happy melody. Looking irresistible in his black and orange Harlem wrestling tee shirt, his black work out shorts, ankle high black sock and black Nike's, I wanted so desperately to kiss him, roll him onto the grass and take him down. Despite that gorgeous smile that had me from the moment I saw him, it was his eyes, which were hidden by the Wayfarer's that did it for me.
The summer ahead promised twelve weeks away from school that gave me hopes of the best summer yet of my young life. Already it had last summer beat in the sense that I had survived the family party this year and actually didn't get any broken bones during the annual family soccer game. Perhaps the irony of it all was that this year it was Javy who was on crutches, and not me. But more about that later.
"I know! I can't wait to be done with this year. When we come back in the fall, we're going to be Sophomores!" The early June sun felt so good on my slightly tanned arms and legs. Running on nice days with nothing but shorts and a tee shirt for track practice will do that to you. Yeah, you heard that right. Swimming season ended so well that I decided to join the track team in the spring. Caleb also joined, so we enjoyed our first season of track, with both of us doing very well. Yeah, more about that later as well.
"Hey guys! Ready to do some last minute cramming before Olsen's final?" giggled both Abbey and Megan as they finally showed up to get some last minute studying done before our last final of the year, the one for Mr. Olsen's class. "So we're still on for post final ice cream at Freddy's, right?" Megan asked, making sure we were still planning to go with them for ice cream.
"Of course!" Parker smiled, standing up to give both girls a hug; I followed after him.
"Yay!" You guys have been the best group partners we've ever had, so we have to like, you know, celebrate!" Abbey proclaimed, in her best cheerleader-like voice.
"Likewise" I chimed in. The friendship we'd developed with both of them was stellar and was one that both Parker and I felt would last us for the rest of our three years at Harlem. "Okay, we'd better get down to reviewing, okay?" I had to be the one to be serious, as getting an A in Mr. O's class would cement my 4.0 for the year, putting me up in at least the top ten percent of my class. Neither of the girls knew about us yet. As promised, Mr. O. kept his word about not telling anyone about me.
We were about halfway through with the study session when Chase walked by with his girlfriend du jour. I think her name is Jessica or something like that. Chase was obviously quite smitten with her as he didn't even look over at us, so I yelled out to him, getting his attention.
"Hey Chase, thought you were all done with finals?" he looked over in my direction, not knowing who called his name until he spotted me.
"Oh, hey Carter-man! Yeah, I'm done but I'm just waiting for Jess to finish her last final! You guys are coming to my party, right?" Chase had invited us to his graduation party in a week, to be held at his house.
"Of course! We heard it's going to be the party of the century, and since we're just lowlife Freshman, we're totally psyched to be invited to graduating Senior's party!" I yelled back.
"Oh stop it, soon to be mighty sophomores! You know the entire swim team is invited!"
"I know man, and we're not going to miss it for the world. Have a great afternoon, and good luck on your exam, Jess!" She smiled and thanked us as Chase wrapped his right arm around her, kissing her. It looked like his monster was ready to jump out of his shorts given the chance. It made me wonder if Chase had nailed her yet, but then the idea of it kind of grossed me out, so as they walked away I quickly got back into the study group for the moment, until the thought of Dylan entered my mind, and quickly left as Abbey snapped her fingers, bringing me back to reality.
I really learned a lot about swimming from Chase this past year on the swim team. When I started, yes, I was a good swimmer, but lacked muscle definition or the stamina to really swim good enough to compete. By the end of the season, I had gained significant lean muscle definition and gained enough stamina and speed to actually place second in the two hundred yard freestyle competition at the end of the year.
Chase was huge in making sure that Caleb, Angelo, Spence, and the rest of the freshman swimmers developed good methods as well as a strict work out regime that allowed us to gain muscle mass in the right places to help us maximize our power and form. Spence and Angelo both scored well in the final competition held at our pool and felt confident that the upcoming year would bode well for us. It was actually cool to see Angelo emerge as a leader of our group as well, as his form and lanky frame was a perfect combination to maybe next year work alongside Derek, the junior who was heir apparent to Chase's throne as captain of the swim team. All in all it was such a great experience that I'm so grateful that Chase recommended that I join the team. What was really fun about being on the swim team was the year-end party, held at my favorite Italian restaurant in town. Along with all the pasta we could eat, awards were given out to the best swimmers of the year. Of course most of the awards went out to the graduating seniors. Hunter got most improved graduating senior. He even got a scholarship to a private school in Ohio, which was his first choice. He plans on studying political science. Gary also got a small scholarship to attend Western Illinois, where he plans on majoring in Criminal Justice.
Some of the juniors also got awards, as did some of the sophomores. I didn't really know them all that well so of course I didn't pay too close attention to them, other than Derek, who was officially named captain of the team for the upcoming year.
What was so cool was the awards that the freshmen got. Of course Angelo was named as co-captain of the incoming sophomore team, just as Ben was named co-captain of the incoming junior team.
What I didn't expect was that Caleb got an award for most improved swimmer on the freshman team. I was so happy for him, considering that he just about didn't make the team, and probably would have dropped out if it hadn't been for me helping him. Which comes to another surprise: I got an award as best teammate on the freshman team! I was so happy!
The award banquet was so much fun and as the minutes of the party waned, we all stood together for one last picture, and it was so neat to stand in front of Chase, who put his big hands on my shoulders as the picture was taken. As weird as it seemed for me, I actually felt no crush or feelings about being with Chase, rather I felt as if he was a big brother type that I would never have in my life, and as I congratulated him on winning a full ride scholarship to the U of Iowa, I felt like crying knowing that soon he would be moving on with his life and would no longer be around to be that big brother to me. He gave me a big hug and told me how proud he was of me and told me to never give up on my dreams. He then told me he loved me, which did bring me to tears.
While I had a great time on the swim team, Parker also excelled on the wrestling team. Starting out the season he didn't do all that great, but as his weight training and conditioning progressed, he got a lot better, better to the point of him winning something like his last six matches at one hundred and fifteen pounds. In fact, it was awesome to know that while he was on his winning streak, Rhonin actually lost all six of his matches. Parker said it really pissed Rhonin off but was just what he needed to get knocked down a peg or two, to the point where the coach told him to either cool it or get sat down from participating in the final match of the year. The other cool thing was that if Parker would have won two more of his matches, he would have qualified for state. His coach told him that if he continued wrestling and conditioning, when he came back next year he'd easily get to go to state. I was happy when Parker told me this.
Once wrestling was over, Parker tried out and easily made Harlem's freshmen baseball team. Playing three positions (shortstop, second base, and catcher) made him a valuable member of the team. What helped was that he hit over three twenty-five batting average and made no errors playing second base for the season. It also was awesome to think that Harlem's freshmen team placed first in the conference.
As I alluded to earlier, once swimming was over I signed up for Track. I wasn't nearly as successful with track as I was with swimming, but the experience was great, and I found out that the track team was super fun, as were the meets. I mainly ran the one hundred and four hundred meter races and didn't do too bad. Once again the coach really encouraged me to keep running over the summer and focus on leg strengthening, which will also help me in the pool.
Needless to say, I made the best of my freshman year. My academics were strong, and as I mentioned earlier about me finishing in the top ten percent of my class, right along with Parker. After my mess up in Mexico with Cristian when Parker and I made up, our relationship has been great. Of course we've still kept it on the down low. I'm okay with that for the time being as I survived the year not coming out at school only to Mr. O., and as promised he's never told anyone, including Jake, his son. Obviously, Mr. O. has been my favorite teacher, and since this will be the end of the school year, I'll finally be able to call him John when he comes over to our house.
"Carter! Earth to Carter! Dude are stuck in a daydream or what?" Abbey shook my right arm as if to wake me up from the momentary blank stare I was in thinking about the year. "Are you ready to head to Olsen's class to take the final?"
As if I was in a trance, I shook my head yes, and then apologized for being lost in thought for however long it was. The four of us walked into class, took our seats, and listened to Mr. O. give us instructions for the exam, and soon the class was quiet, and the test began.
The test was easy. With one hundred true/false and multiple choice questions, as well as our choice of two essay questions from five possible questions, we were able to answer all five if we felt we needed extra credit. Of course I had time, so I tackled all five questions. With nearly fifteen minutes left in the class, with confidence I got up, handed Mr. O. my test, smiling as he smiled back at me. I walked out of his class with a bit of melancholy feelings in my mind, knowing that I might not have him again as a teacher, but I was also excited in knowing that I would definitely be seeing him over the summer, more than just one or two times.
I told the girls and Parker that I'd meet them at my locker after the exam, and since they were still taking the test, I began the walk to my locker. Along the way I spied Big T and his girlfriend of nearly three months Joy walking down the hall, hand in hand. The super cool thing about T is that once he got over his Uncle's death and started working out, he lost nearly fifty pounds just eating healthy and spending five nights a week in the school's work out room, doing an intensive weight training regime.
"Carter! What's up bro? Hey, we gonna start running in the mornings this summer? I'm gonna have time in the morning if you and Parker are up to it!"
"Hey T, hey Joy! Sure, I'd love that. What time you thinking?"
"Early, bro. I gotta work at the grocery store this summer, so like around six?"
I groaned but told him I'd sure try. They said their good-byes and exited out the side door. I'm so happy for T. I really feared he was going to hurt himself after his uncle died, but I promised him I'd be there for him and once I started swim practice and working out, I urged him to try it and sure enough he did it. So very cool, indeed.
No sooner did T and Joy leave that I nearly ran into Wyatt. Remember him? He gave me a big hug and was still really thin as I could feel his ribs against me as we embraced.
"Carter! I was sure hoping to see you before I left school. How are you?"
"Doing well, how are you?"
He went on to tell me that all was going well.
"I'm all excited about the summer and the upcoming fall. I'm going to be tutoring at the Literacy Council this summer, working with people who either have a hard time reading, or just simply do not know how to read. Then this fall I'm going to UW -- Whitewater to focus on an elementary ed. degree. I'm so excited about getting a teaching degree. And hey, and least I'll be close to home and maybe we can get together over the summer, what do you think?"
"Sure, I'd love that! This will be my last summer at home without a job. Mom told me I didn't have to work unless I find something to do with Mr. O."
"Mr. Olsen?" he asked skeptically.
"Oh yeah, I suppose you don't know about him and my mom, right?"
"I didn't, are they dating?"
I smiled and told him they were, and that they had been together for close to six months. During the summer he did part time painting jobs, both outside and inside houses. From time to time he needed help and Mom told me that if I wanted I could help him. So of course, I agreed.
"Oh hun, that is so cool. I'm so happy for you and your mom. Mr. O. is a great teacher and a great guy in general. He's been so helpful to me. I'm going to miss him big time. My favorite teacher and counselor, for sure! Anyway, let's keep in touch. I have to get going. It's been so nice to see you, and don't be a stranger!"
I nodded and we hugged again and just like that he left the building.
When I arrived at my locker I couldn't stop thinking about Wyatt and how we'd met and all. He was another friend that was super chill. There was an open locker not too far from mine, and at first I couldn't see who it was, but as soon as he closed his locker door, I could see it was Caleb.
"Carter! I thought you were already long gone. Are you done with your finals?" he asked while seemingly looking me up and down, checking me out.
"Hey Caleb. Yeah I just finished my last final in Mr. Olsen's class. I'm officially done! How about you?"
"Yes sir! I'm completely done too. I'm just waiting for Brennan to pick me up. He should be here shortly, but then again he said he'd text me when he was on his way. He hasn't just yet."
"Oh okay. Abbey, Megan, Parker, and I are going to Freddy's to get a burger and some frozen custard. Do you want to join us?"
He nodded that he did, and no sooner did he nod his head his phone buzzed. It was a text from his brother, who said he didn't mind picking him up at Freddy's. Fortunately, neither of us had much stuff at all in our lockers, in fact everything in mine I threw away as Caleb and I began walking to the exit doors. Silently we walked when Caleb asked if he could ask me a question.
"So um I'd like to know if you'd want to get together sometime this summer. It would sure be nice to see you and hang out like we did during the winter."
"Sure, I'd love to hang out. Just text me, man. Maybe we can go do some running or go to the Y and swim some laps or something. Maybe even the water park here in town." Caleb agreed and we talked about the swim team and track experiences for a few minutes before Parker and the girls showed up.
We took the ten minute walk to Freddy's and were surprised to see quite a few other Harlem students there, as well as students from the Catholic school across the river, dressed in their white dress up shirts, a tie, and gray dress pants.
We got our order fairly quick and opted to eat outside rather than be inside with all of the other people. We were having a great time just unwinding and being silly soon to be sophomores. Once we finished our burgers and fries, we went back in the restaurant to get frozen custard. As I walked up to the counter, I ordered a two scoop flavor of the day, which was mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone. Once I got my cone, I happened to look to my left to see the group of students from the other school walking out the north door. One person looked kind of familiar from behind, but I couldn't be sure exactly who he was.
No sooner did we finish eating the frozen custard that Caleb's brother showed up. Caleb gave all of us hugs, and just like that he got in the car with his brother and was gone. I like Caleb, as he is such a good friend. I really enjoyed having him as a teammate on the swim and track teams. I'll definitely keep in touch with him this summer.
A few minutes later, Abbey got a text that her mom was on the way to pick up her and Megan. According to Megan, they were going to sleepover at Abbey's house and then celebrate the first day of summer vacation by going shopping at the Mall of America in Minnesota. So we were ready to say our goodbye's to both of them. They hugged both of us, and then surprisingly, Abbey whispered in my ear.
"Carter, I'm so glad we got to know each other this year. You're a really cool chill guy, and I hope that we can stay in touch over the summer. I'd like to maybe go see a movie or maybe have a picnic in the park, okay?" She held on to me for a few minutes and then gave me another hug before finally breaking away upon seeing her mom pull into the parking lot. I told her that I'd love to hang out with her this summer as well. I was happy and smiling, but I felt like bursting into tears almost, knowing that my school friends would now all be going their separate ways over the summer, and we might not see each other again until fall. At least we can text each other whenever. My mom always called me spoiled because in her day she never had cell phones to keep in touch with friends. I always gave her that perplexed look, you know as if to say non-verbally `I don't believe you mom.'
Speaking of mom, she was going to leave work early and pick us up at Freddy's in a half of an hour or so. She did say that she would text me when she was on her way. Parker and I just sat at the picnic table talking about what our plans were when my phone buzzed. I pulled the phone out of my pocket, and I must have turned white as a ghost.
"You okay bro?" Parker asked, wondering what happened and what I saw on my phone.
"Oh, um yeah, I'm okay. Just saw a bad story come up about some kids getting kidnapped and murdered." I hated to lie but I figured at this point it was not a good time to tell him what I saw on my phone.
"Oh that's not good. I hate reading stories about kids getting killed. That sucks thinking it could be us. So very scary."
I then asked Parker if he wanted to walk across the street to the bookstore in the strip mall. Of course he thought it would be better than just stay at the picnic table doing nothing. We had just walked across the street and into the parking lot of the bookstore when my phone buzzed again. It was a text from my mom. Apparently she was asked to attend a meeting and wouldn't be able to pick us up until around 2:30 at the earliest, which was in an hour and a half. So I had an idea and presented it to Parker.
"So how about we walk down the bike path behind school, and then walk to our place at Rock Cut. We can, you know..." I said slyly, winking my right eye which Parker picked up immediately.
"Great idea babe! It's not like I'd want to spend my afternoon looking at books. Maybe we can run there?"
"I bet we could put our backpacks at school since there are still finals going until the normal end of classes. Then we could run to the park."
"Excellent idea! Now you're thinking!" Parker winked back at me and had a huge smile on his face.
We were at the park in less than thirty minutes from the time we left the parking lot at the bookstore. It was so awesome to see the leaves out on the trees and to hear the birds singing away. As we walked up the slight hill to the lookout spot on the limestone bluff, I could feel a stir in my shorts as the thought of what to come was getting me seriously turned on. As I followed Parker up the hill, his tight, muscular butt cheeks looked so hot in his shorts. I didn't know how far we would be going right now, but if that was on the bluff, I'd eat it up in no time at all.
But as it turned out, we basked in the sunshine for a bit with our shirts off, and as I watched the beads of sweat form on Parker's hairless chest and run down to the scant trail of soft dark hairs that disappeared into his shorts, I was completely aroused. So of course when I made a move to lick the sweat up from Parker's abs, he did not stop me as I reached in and took him in my mouth. Before I knew it he was doing the same to me, and within probably ten minutes we swallowed every drop, kissing and sharing in the aftermath.
We laid back on the table-like rock, staring through our sunglasses into the deep blue sky. Parker spoke first.
"I hope we have a great summer together, babe. Like last year, but doing more fun things, you know?"
"I agree, mi amor. I want to take lots of bike rides, like every day. Imagine coming out here every day and doing the same thing?
"Oh man babe, that'd be hot." Do you know if you're going to work this summer, or not?" I asked, wanting to kind of know more about what was going on for him this summer, since we hadn't really talked much about it, ironically I suppose.
"As of right now, neither Mom nor Dad has asked me to work this summer. So far I'm so thankful that they're getting along for now. It sure was touch and go, especially when Dad was in Colorado working. I thought for sure they would get a divorce. But the good thing is that they did start going to church and were able to resurrect their marriage, for now. So I'm open to spending as much time with you as we can doing fun things like camping, canoeing, hiking, biking, and working out."
"That's awesome." I replied, smiling. Our bare chests met as we hugged and shared a sensual kiss that instantly did it's job for both of us. I wanted him again, but as I made a move to take him in my mouth, my phone buzzed. It was Mom, letting me know that she would be leaving work in a few minutes. I texted her back to let her know that she could pick us up at our usual spot at school. "Babe, we gotta run. Mom's going to be at school in about twenty minutes! Yikes!"
So indeed we did have to run all the way back to school. Thank goodness we'd been running and were in shape. Luckily we made it back to school in twenty minutes. By the time we got out our backpacks and ran out to the pick up spot, Mom had just pulled in.
"Buenas tardes mama, como estas?" I asked.
"Bien mis chicos. How are my boys doing today? Glad that school is out, I bet?"
"Buenas tardes Senora" Parker replied.
"Si mama, estamos bien feliz que no necesitamos regresar a la escuela hasta Agosto!"
"I bet, mi amor. Well lucky for you your summer vacations starts. For me, it's back to work tomorrow. But at least I am working during the day now, verdad?"
"Si Mama, it is so nice having you home at night now. I bet John likes it too, right?"
"Yes my love, he does. He will be over tonight for a cookout, so make sure you pull the grill out, okay? Parker, are you having dinner with us tonight?"
"No Senora, mis padres me van a llevar a un nuevo restaurante en Beloit que sirve comida china."
"Oh a new Chinese restaurant in Beloit? That sounds like fun. Well you know you're welcome anytime for dinner or whatever, right?"
"Gracias Senora."
"De nada, Parker."
We were now at Parker's house, so of course we did not kiss as he got out of the car. He waved as he walked up the driveway like he always does. We were now on the way home.
Mom told me she was going to take a short nap before Mr. O. er, John came over for dinner. I went into my room, shut the door, and threw my backpack in the corner of the room on the floor. I'd deal with that later.
I laid back on my bed and thought about the school year. What an amazing year. Not only did I get involved in sports, which to be honest when the year started, I never thought I'd be interested at all in sports. But with the help of Parker, Chase, and Caleb, it turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me all year, other than meeting Parker, of course. That was the best. Sure we had our ups and downs along the way but given the fact that most gay relationships don't last, we did survive the challenges of letting other guys into our lives to the point where they could've easily broken us up for good.
What was also quite amazing, I thought to myself, was how easy learning was, and how studying and working hard had great results with my grades and my level of maturity too. The grades will not be reported soon enough as the anticipation to see where my grades ended up is almost more than I can bear!
My mind began to wander as thoughts of Parker filtered back into my brain. The run to the park replayed in my mind, watching him run in front of me; his tanned, muscular back muscles flexing as his strong legs kept him twenty feet or so in front of me. Stopping to take a drink of water, seeing the perspiration in his short brown hair just made me love him even more. Seeing his damp tight chest and abs flexing with each breath he took really led to us going down on each other on the rock. It didn't even bother me to taste the salt from his sweat either; rather it was more like an aphrodisiac that made me want to lick him all over.
The sweat on my skin had long since dried, but the mixture of my axe deodorant and my sweat begged my fingers to touch my taut skin under my shirt as my eyes fought to stay open. As if by instinct, they found the waistband of my CK briefs, which let them in until they found my damp sack and growing cock. My favorite thing was to run my fingers through the nice growing bush of pubes that had expanded over the year. They were damp and somewhat crusty where some of my seed had escaped from Parker's mouth. As if instinct, my fingers pulled out and as the scent of my groin entered my nose, it was quite evident that the aroma only served to fuel my young lust.
Needless to say it didn't take long as they did their job quite well, causing my dick to explode another load of cum right into my briefs. Kind of gross, one could surmise, but as the warm load settled into my pubes and the remainder on my fingers were licked clean, my eyes once again got heavy and soon I was asleep.
The buzzing of my cell phone woke me up from the depths of another sexual dream. This time it was Parker and me together in Mexico like on a beach somewhere. We were both naked and were on a towel laying on the white sand under a cloudless sky. We were repeating what we did on the rock in the park, and we were both about ready to climax when the buzzing of the phone woke me up.
The number looked familiar, although it had been a while since I'd received a text from this number. As my erection began to subside in my cum stained briefs, my stomach muscles tightened with fear as it dawned on me just who this person was.
