"FOREVER"
"Jake Garrington," a police sheriff announced putting Jake's hands behind his back and handcuffing him, "You are under arrest for murder in the second degree of Miles Dudley."
Two other police officers escorted Jake to a police car and placed him in the back seat. Jake looked out the window helplessly at Tyler, Kyle, David, Marcus, Randal and Stanley who were all lined up on the side walk watching as Jake was driven away.
"You're going to be in jail FOREVER!" an officer shouted.
Jake then suddenly jolted up out of bed in a cold sweat, he looked around at his surroundings and made sure that he was still in his and Tyler's apartment.
It's been two weeks since they got back from Hawaii. Two weeks since he spoke to the police. Two weeks since the death of Miles.
"You okay?" Tyler asked wrapping his arms around Jake.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Jake replied.
"Liar," Tyler said.
"I'm just stressed out," Jake sighed.
"Why?" Tyler asked. "You gave your statement to the police, they said that you were not in any trouble and that you had no direct involvement in the suicide of Miles. It's over."
"Then why does it still haunt me every second?" Jake asked.
Tyler just wrapped his arms around Jake, letting him know that he was always there for him.
Over at Randal and Stanley's apartment, Stanley had packed up all his stuff and temporarily moved into the living room until he could find a place of his own. The two were very careful to never be in the same room at the same time. What was once a place of love and happiness was now cold and silent.
Stanley was in the living room making his bed on the sofa when Randal came home. The two briefly exchanged a look and then went back to their business.
Randal went into the bedroom and opened up a drawer at his desk, he pulled out a picture of him and Stanley together, in happier times. He missed Stanley terribly, but the pride in him refuses to fold, he took a deep breath and put the picture back in the drawer.
Meanwhile, over at Trevor's apartment, he was eating dinner when there was an urgent and non-stop knocking on the door.
"Hold on, hold on," Trevor said walking to the door. He opened it up and was surprised to find Justin standing there.
"Hi," Justin said.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Trevor asked.
"I came to tell you I love you," Justin replied. "I want us to start over again."
Justin went up to Trevor and kissed him. Trevor was shocked by the kiss, but not only for the impulsiveness of Justin, but for the fact that he felt nothing, for weeks he's been agonizing over Justin and Marcus, only to find that he finally realized that all he wants, all he needs was the one person he's been pushing away and the one person he needs to try and get back.
"I'm sorry Justin," Trevor said breaking the kiss. "What we had was special, but that was the past. We were good together then, but not anymore. I found the person I'm meant to be with, and now I have to work to get him back."
Over at David and Kyle's place the two were in the kitchen quietly eating dinner.
"More chicken?" Kyle asked handing David the chicken dish.
"Thanks," David said taking the plate of chicken.
The two were again quiet. David took a bite of chicken, but then after another minute of silence couldn't take it anymore.
"Are we falling apart again?" David asked.
"No," Kyle quickly replied. "No, we're not. It's just been a little weird for me that's all."
"Kyle, I can only apologize so much," David said.
"David, I've told you already you have nothing to apologize for," Kyle said. "I know you didn't want that to happen."
"Then why have you been so distant?" David asked.
"I haven't been distant," Kyle replied.
"We haven't had sex since we came back from Hawaii," David said.
"Because we don't know the results of your test," Kyle said.
The two took a quiet moment to breath a little.
"I'm sorry," Kyle said.
"For what?" David asked.
"You're right," Kyle replied. "I have been distant."
"It's understandable," David said. "I don't expect you to be okay with this. I'm actually surprised you're still with me."
"Don't say that," Kyle said giving David a much needed hug. "We've been through so much together, I'm not going to bail on us again."
"Thank you," David sighed holding Kyle tightly.
The next morning Marcus was sitting at the table in his kitchen drinking a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper when there was a knock on his door. He opened the door and there was a delivery of flowers for him.
"Marcus Rowan?" the delivery woman asked.
"Yes," Marcus replied.
"Sign here," the delivery woman said handing him a clipboard with the delivery receipt on it.
"Thanks," Marcus said taking the flowers and closing the door.
He went back in the kitchen and was looking for a card, but was surprised when he didn't find one. Part of him was hoping they were from Trevor, but then he also took into account that it might be his friends trying to cheer him up. Before he could think about it anymore there was another knock on the door. He opened it up and this time there was a delivery of cookies sent to him.
"I didn't even know there was a delivery service for cookies," Marcus commented as he signed the delivery receipt and closed the door. Just as he set the cookies down on the table there was again another knock on the door, he opened it up and another delivery man was there with a couple dozen balloons. He took the balloons and went inside, this time there was a card. He opened the card and it read simply, "I'm sorry."
Just as he set the card down there was one more knock on the door, he opened it up and standing before him was Trevor, holding a box of chocolates, and a dozen roses.
"Hi," Trevor said.
"Hey," Marcus replied surprised by all the gifts and the visit. "What's going on?"
"I just came to say I'm sorry," Trevor began, "I was a complete idiot, I was running away from you, from someone who I realize I'm completely and totally in love with. Can you ever forgive me?"
"You already know the answer," Marcus said taking Trevor into his arms and giving him a kiss that he's been wanting to give him for so long.
"I love you," Trevor said.
"I love you too," Marcus replied.
Later that day Randal and Kyle were at the club to start putting together ideas for the look of the club.
"So I was thinking of a dark red for the walls, to give it a really hot look," Randal suggested.
"I was thinking the exact same thing," Kyle replied.
"Yeah?" Randal asked.
"Yeah," Kyle answered. "I think it would be perfect, and to have black marble tile on the floor."
"I love that," Randal said. "What about the bar?"
"Well, you said you wanted it to be hot right?" Kyle asked. "How about that the surface of the bar having those lights underneath that change the color of the surface top, we can have it change from red, to yellow, something like that."
"I never thought of that," Randal said. "I love it."
"Great," Kyle said. "So we're getting somewhere at least."
"Thank God this club is actually coming together," Randal said. "It's what's keeping me going."
"How are you doing?" Kyle asked.
"I'm okay," Randal replied.
"You sure?" Kyle asked. "You can talk about Stanley if you need to."
"No, I don't want to," Randal replied.
"Why?" Kyle asked.
"Because I'm pissed at him for what's happening," Randal replied.
"You still blame this whole break up on him?" Kyle asked.
"I really don't need another lecture," Randal pleaded. "I already got one from Marcus back in Hawaii. He said that I've been cold towards Stanley."
"Well-" Kyle began, but Randal cut him off.
"Please Kyle," Randal begged. "Don't."
"All right," Kyle said.
"Hey guys," Marcus happily said walking into the club.
"Hey, you're in a good mood," Randal noted.
"That's a change," Kyle said. "What's up?"
"Trevor," Marcus said happily.
"You two are back together?" Kyle asked smiling.
"Yeah," Marcus replied.
"I'm sorry happy for you!" Kyle exclaimed giving Marcus a big hug.
"Thank you," Marcus said.
"Congrats," Randal smiled not being able to help but being a little jealous.
"When did this happen?" Kyle asked.
"This morning," Marcus replied.
"Well, what are you doing here then?" Kyle asked.
"We have work to do," Randal answered.
"He can join us later, he should be with Trevor right now," Kyle said.
"That cool Randal?" Marcus asked.
"Yeah, that's fine," Randal replied.
"Awesome, thanks guys," Marcus said and rushed out.
"That's so great," Kyle said.
"Yeah, great," Randal said sadly.
"Hey," Kyle said getting Randal's attention. "Come here."
Kyle then went and gave Randal a comforting hug.
"You'll be okay," Kyle continued.
"Thanks," Randal replied.
Meanwhile, Tyler and Jake were at home both deciding not to go into work that day. Tyler was in the kitchen going over payroll for the restaurant while Jake was in bed still. Tyler tried concentrating on his work, but couldn't leave Jake alone in the state of mind he was in. He got up and went to the bedroom where he saw Jake laying on his side staring at the wall.
"Babe, you need to get up," Tyler said.
"Why?" Jake asked, not seeing the point.
"You can't keep torturing yourself like this," Tyler said.
"I deserve it," Jake replied.
"No you don't," Tyler said. "Come on, change your clothes."
Tyler then pulled Jake up out of bed.
"What are we doing?" Jake asked.
"We're going out," Tyler said.
"Where?" Jake asked.
"Just put your clothes on," Tyler replied. "You have twenty minutes."
Tyler then got up and left the room leaving Jake to get ready.
Over at David's store he was trying to clear his mind and do some inventory when his cell phone rang.
"Hello?" David asked answering the phone.
"Is this David?" the voice asked.
"Yes," David replied.
"David this is Dr. Grayson," he said.
"Hi," David replied nervously.
"We have your test results," Dr. Grayson said.
"Oh?" David asked.
"Can you come in today?" Dr. Grayson asked.
"You can't tell me over the phone?" David asked.
"I'd prefer to speak with you in person," Dr. Grayson answered.
"Oh, all right," David replied scarred.
"What time can you come in?" Dr. Grayson asked.
"I'll be there in an hour," David said.
"I'll see you soon," Dr. Grayson said.
"Bye," David replied hanging up.
Once Jake got ready Tyler took him and drove to Randal, Marcus and Kyle's future club. When the walked inside it was decorated with a lot of Christmas lights and hot music was playing.
"What's going on?" Jake asked.
"We are going to have some fun," Tyler said wrapping his arms around Jake. "Right guys?"
Then Kyle and Randal stepped out from hiding and joined them.
"Right," Kyle replied.
"You guys did all this?" Jake asked.
"Tyler called us and said that you needed a place to dance and have some fun, I think it's only fitting that our best friends be the first people to dance in our club," Randal said. With that Randal and Kyle grabbed Jake and Tyler and the four of them went out on what will soon be the dance floor and started dancing together to cheer up Jake. Jake at first was very hesitant and unable to let go, but eventually he loosened up and danced with the guys and smiled for the first time since the incident in Hawaii.
Over at Marcus' place, him and Trevor were lying in bed together having just had sex.
"I don't ever want to get out of bed," Marcus said giving Trevor a kiss on the forehead.
"Me neither," Trevor replied. "Again, I just want to apologize for putting you through all-"
"Don't worry about it," Marcus said cutting him off. "It only has made us appreciate each other more."
"I love you so much," Trevor said kissing Marcus.
"I love you too," Marcus replied.
The two cuddled some more before Marcus decided to ask Trevor about Miles.
"So how are you doing?" Marcus asked. "I know you and Miles were good friends."
"I'm doing better," Trevor sighed. "It's weird to think that he's gone."
"I know," Marcus replied.
"I mean, yeah, he was a bit eccentric and really put Jake and Tyler through a lot, but he only did it cause of how much he liked Jake," Trevor said.
"I know," Marcus said again, "I'm sure he was a great guy."
"He was," Trevor said. "Me and the guys are working with his parents to set up the funeral."
"You need help with anything?" Marcus asked.
"No, I'll be okay," Trevor replied. "I just feel guilty."
"Guilty?" Marcus asked. "Why?"
"Here one of my best friends died, but at the same time, this is the best day of my life," Trevor said.
"Best day of my life too," Marcus said.
"I just want to be with you forever," Trevor sighed.
"Why don't you move in?" Marcus asked.
"Are you serious?" Trevor asked after a minute of absorbing what Marcus just suggested.
"I would love it," Marcus replied. "It would be so great."
"This is a big deal Marcus," Trevor said. "You think we're ready for that?"
"After all we've been through, I think we're prepared for anything," Marcus replied.
"I don't know," Trevor said nervously.
"Just promise me you'll think about it," Marcus said.
"Of course," Trevor replied.
"Thanks," Marcus said giving Trevor a kiss.
Back at the club, the guys have been dancing for an hour when David walked into the club. He stood at the top of the stairs and smiled as he watched his friends being so happy and care-free, he then took a breathe and walked down the stairs. Kyle was the first to see David and quickly ran up to him giving him a hug.
"I didn't know you would be here," Kyle said.
"Well, I got a call from the doctor," David answered.
"Oh?" Kyle asked hopeful.
"He wants me to come down to see him now," David replied.
"That could be good right?" Kyle asked.
"I don't think so," David said quietly.
"I see," Kyle said gravely. "Let me get my jacket and we'll go."
"Hey David," Tyler called out.
"Hey guys," David replied putting on a fake smile. "How are you Jake?"
"Better," Jake replied wrapping his arms around Tyler.
"Good," David said.
"I have to go with David, but I'll talk to you guys later okay?" Kyle said.
"All right," Randal replied. "Talk to you later."
Kyle and David then walked out and headed down to the doctor's office.
Over at Randal and Stanley's apartment, Stanley was looking through the apartment listings in the newspaper and circling possibilities. After twenty minutes of looking he set the paper down and went and sat down on the couch and began thinking of him and Randal, a past time he's been having ever since the two broke up.
Flashback
Randal and Stanley woke up in the morning together.
"You know, helping Marcus move in yesturday kinda made me want to do some more unpacking," Randal said.
"What do you mean?" Stanley asked.
"What do you say we move you in here?" Randal asked.
Stanley went quiet for a moment before answering.
"Are you serious?" Stanley asked.
"Yea, I think it would be great," Randal replied. "Think of how great it is waking up with each other. We can do this every morning. What do you say?"
Stanley leaned in and kissed Randal happily.
"Yes!" Stanley answered. "It sounds perfect."
The two lied holding each other.
"I love you," Randal said.
"I love you too," Stanley replied.
"I wish that everyone can be as happy as I am right now," Randal said.
End Flashback
Stanley's eyes began filling with tears, realizing how much he wanted Randal back, but knowing he might never get him back the same way he was before.
Over at the doctor's office, Kyle and David were sitting down waiting for the doctor to come in.
"I'm sure you're fine," Kyle said hopeful giving David's hand a squeeze.
"I hope so," David sighed.
The doctor then walked in carrying David's file.
"Hello David," Dr. Grayson said.
"Hi doctor," David said shaking his hand, "You remember Kyle right?"
"Yes, hello Kyle," Dr. Grayson said shaking Kyle's hand.
"Hi," Kyle replied.
"So I asked you to come down here so I could go over your test results," Dr. Grayson said sitting down.
"Yes," David replied.
"Did he get an A?" Kyle asked trying to add some humor to the situation.
"David," Dr. Grayson sighed. "You know, you should always be safe before engaging in activities with someone you're unfamiliar with."
"I know," David replied. "But I was drugged."
"That's terrible," Dr. Grayson sighed shaking his head.
"I think I know how the results turned out," David said sadly.
"I'm sorry David," Dr. Grayson said. "But they came back positive."
