First Love
Joe was now sixteen, Daniel was two weeks away from his nineteenth birthday and he had been living with Kevin for six months. It seemed a lifetime away when he lived at home with his mum and Joe but he still visited his mum frequently or she came over for a meal at the apartment. Joe had finished his school exams and was now waiting anxiously for the results to decide if he would continue with the next stage before going to university. Later when they were sitting in the living room whilst Kevin was preparing the meal, Daniel casually asked Joe about his latest girlfriend.

Joe looked at him and grinned, "Nobody".
"Oh, why's that?"
"She dumped me" Joe replied looking slightly uneasy.
"What again; why do all these girls dump you?"
Joe again looked uneasy and shrugged his shoulders. Daniel decided not to pursue the matter for the time being but he had a feeling there was more to it.
"How did you know you were gay?" Joe asked after a short pause.
Daniel looked at him for a moment, "I just did; I never had any urge to be with girls and was more interested in boys; why?"
"Just wondered" Joe replied blushing slightly.
"What's brought all this on then?" Daniel asked taking hold of his brother's hand.

Daniel laughed and gave his brother a kiss.
"That's okay then because you're stuck with two of them for the next few days."

"School" Daniel replied, "I did Karate and Judo; I'm a black belt".
"Wow" Kevin exclaimed clearly impressed.
As they walked swiftly along they heard a guy running behind them. Daniel looked round and prepared himself for another attack but as the guy got closer they realised that he was in fact saying "Thanks guys, that was brilliant".
Daniel and Kevin stopped and let the guy catch them up.
"That idiot has been out there every night this week blasting homophobic and racist abuse; I was so glad to see someone take him on".
"My boyfriend does Karate and is a black belt in Judo" Kevin announced somewhat proudly.
"Wow, that was awesome" the guy replied clearly pleased at what he'd seen.
"Is he likely to follow us do you think?" Kevin then asked somewhat concerned.
"Oh no, I left him with my partner and two other friends. They'll deal with him alright; he'll be lucky if he ends up with his pants still on by the time they've finished with him" he chuckled.
"I live just along here, why don't you guys come and join me for a drink; I think you deserve one for dealing with that pain in the arse."
Kevin nodded and they followed him to the end of the road into a block of flats which had been converted from old warehouses.
"I'm Gary by the way" he said as he opened the front door.
After about fifteen minutes another guy appeared.
"This is Blake my partner" Gary said introducing everyone.
Having congratulated Daniel on what he did to bring the guy down, Blake then told them that their two friends had taken the `idiot' as he was now called, off in a van. He then explained that they had blindfolded the guy, tied his hands and used a knife they'd found on him to cut most of his clothes off inside the van.
"I left Joey and Billy to take him out of Manchester" Blake continued chuckling.
"The last time they dealt with someone like this" Gary explained, "they stripped him naked, wrote the words I'm a racist and a homophobe on his chest with a marker pen and tied him to a tree. They then left him having ripped up his clothes and dumped them in the canal."
"Wow, was he ever seen again?"
"Nope, think he got the message" Blake laughed, "and so will this guy by the time Joey and Billy have finished with him".

"I was really worried when I saw you go up to him"

"I'd no idea you'd learnt Karate and Judo."
"I got fed up with bullies at school so decided to join the Karate and Judo classes. Once they realised I could beat them up they stopped bullying me."
"I'm very proud of you" Kevin replied as he gave Daniel a passionate kiss, "but never put yourself in danger will you?"
Daniel assured him he wouldn't and explained the secret was to act when the opponent least expects it.

Christmas was soon upon them and Kevin had arranged for them both to stay in Southern Spain with a friend he'd known for many years. He'd first met Jean-Paul at college. They'd had a short fling but quickly realised they weren't right for each other since Jean-Paul wanted to move back to his native Spain and Kevin wished to remain in England. Instead they remained good friends and visited each other over the years.
When Kevin and Daniel realised that Chris was going to be on his own for Christmas they invited him to join them. Jean-Paul was more than happy to invite him as well and it made the number nice and equal. Chris was overwhelmed with emotion when Kevin asked him if he'd like to join them. He still missed his dad terribly and the relationship with his mother had now broken down completely. His uncle was also going away for Christmas and New Year so it meant he would be on his own. He'd resigned himself to that fact and just hoped that he would be able to meet up with friends over the period.
Since Kevin always closed the office down for two weeks over Christmas there was no worry about keeping things running whilst he and Daniel were away.
"Are you sure?" Chris kept on asking Kevin.
"Of course I am" Kevin replied smiling, "Both Daniel and I would love to have you join us and Jean-Paul is looking forward to seeing you as well".
Chris couldn't believe he would not be on his own and again tears flowed. Kevin took him into his arms and hugged him.
It was the first time Daniel had ever been to Spain. He'd only ever been to Paris and that was on a school trip. His parents had never been able to afford holidays abroad when he was younger. He'd only ever been on an aeroplane once so was looking forward to flying again.
The trip went well without any hiccups. Chris had stayed with them the night before so they could all go to the airport together. He was so happy which was good to see since he'd been very down ever since his dad's death.
Jean-Paul met them at Seville airport and drove them the twenty minute journey to his villa. Like Kevin he'd set up his own business and done well for himself. He now lived a life of luxury and owned a large villa with an indoor swimming pool and every other possible amenity you could wish for.

"Well, he came over to me and we talked. He then invited me back to his place."
"This guy didn't hang about then" Kevin chuckled.

"And what happened to this guy?" Kevin asked laughing.
"Well, he became my lover and I love him as much now as I did when I first met him."
They both laughed and fell into each other's arms for a kiss.
"It's odd" Kevin said when they'd finished kissing, "because I too met a guy at a Law Society function; he had gorgeous golden hair and I loved him from the moment I first set eyes on him".
"And what happened to him?" Daniel giggled.
"I love him more and more each day" Kevin replied, "in fact I'm sitting astride him now and he's making me very randy so I'm going to fuck him again!"
Christmas and New Year was soon over and the three of them returned home. Chris kissed and hugged Daniel and Kevin before finally leaving to go back to his flat. "See you on Monday" Daniel called after him as he walked into the lift.
"Yeah, another exciting year ahead of us no doubt" he laughed as the lift doors closed behind him.
"I'm so glad we invited him," Daniel said once he'd closed the front door, "the holiday has been a real tonic for him and he's looking so much happier".
Kevin agreed, Chris had been good fun to have around and Jean-Paul had certainly got on well with him!
