"Peyton, do you have any regrets with the move we made?" "NO! We've been more relaxed, more romantic, happier, and the children are really branching out with new interests they didn't have before. The only thing I wish we could have done is move their schools to Brevard with us. I have a sneaking suspicion, though. that they will do well here and have more challenges in different ways."

"The boy's and Alaina's interest in science has jumped way up from what it was, and they have loved the increased time we have to spend with them; and quite frankly, so have I." "I agree with everything you said, love. What I have enjoyed most is getting to know you all over again; to renew our love for each other; that might not have happened in Erie. Your eyes seem to gleam again, and you smile a lot more than you did. In just two weeks of moving to Brevard, your entire demeanor has changed." "So has yours, Peyton, and I have loved watching you changing into a happier man. I love you so much that it hurts sometimes. I want you to be happy, and you were losing that in Erie, and so were the children from what I could tell. I think we all got bored with our life there, got into too much of a rigid routine."

"You know, Jaiden, mom said the same thing to me, and she is a very perceptive person. We will have to learn new things to do here, develop new interests, meet new people, and dive back into life. And more than anything, I want to do that with you -- and with our boys. Slowing down is going to be a good thing. We won't make as much money, but we have enough saved up and invested."

Peyton looked out from the veranda and saw Charlie and Dale walking up the driveway. "Hey, guys, where have y'all been?" "Peyton, look at Charlie's and Dale's faces. I bet they went to the overlook and hid down the trail on the hidden bench." Charlie turned blood red when Jaiden said that, because .... It was true. They did some risqué things while there, and they were about as relaxed as they could be.

"Peyton, Charlie and I, for the first time in a long time, felt like we did when we met and lived together at Wellstone." Tears fell from Dale's eyes when he said that. Like Peyton and Jaiden, they were falling in love all over again. The spark was back. It wasn't about the horniness, or the raucous sex they had in the early days of their relationship; this time it was about a true, new love between the two spouses. Dale and Charley sat on the other swing on the veranda and held each other so lovingly that what they were feeling, what Jaiden and Peyton were seeing. was unmistakable.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned to very many people is that the building the guy's purchased for the medical offices also had two extra floors, one of which Dale and Charlie would occupy for their offices.

Monday morning rolled around and Jaiden's Peyton's, and Peggy's medical office opened and was slammed with new patients. While Dale's and Charlie's new office would display their names, they were still working for their company out of Memphis.

That morning, Dale and Charlie got a call from the President of their firm informing them that Brevard County had approved new plans to build a new hospital and to remodel the current hospital as an addition, and their firm had won the contract. Charlie and Dale would be designing the new Brevard Medical Center, so they would have more than enough work to keep them busy while still having more time to spend with their children and teaching architecture at Wellstone.

The children were coming home from school excited about their new teachers and friends. They were thoroughly enjoying the more relaxed learning atmosphere, and their dads couldn't be happier about that. They were worried that the children might be getting into mischief at their new school, so they scheduled a meeting with the teachers to see how the children were acting in class. Imagine their surprise when their teachers described the children as perfect angels whom they wished more students would emulate. Yep, this was an overdue, good move, sort of like going from a hellacious situation with the children and entering the gates of heaven. When the guys got into their car to head home, Jaiden asked why they had not made the move earlier, considering how much better things were turning out to be for all concerned. Neither of the young men had an answer to that question.

When they got home, Phyllis asked Dale to go check and see what happened in the lodge, that she had heard a crash and heard Benjamin yelling at the top of his lungs. Dale took off running to the lodge, and when he got inside, everybody heard the most mournful, guttural cry they had ever heard out of him. Nothing bad had happened, it was just that when Dale entered the lodge, his brother, Jimmy, was standing inside the door to surprise him. He had not let Dale know he was coming, but Jaiden, Peyton, and Charlie knew about his pending visit. Jimmy held his brother and let him get his emotions out of his system. Dale really lost it when Jimmy told him that he had been transferred to Brevard and would be able to spend a lot more time with Dale and with his and Charlie's children.

Two weeks! Only two weeks, and so much good has already come from the relocation to Brevard. Yet, there was something else that Dale had no knowledge about, and it involved his parents. Jimmy didn't tell Dale what was about to happen, he simply left a business card on the dresser in Dale's and Charlie's bedroom.

When the guys were going to bed, Charlie picked up the business card Jimmy left in the bedroom and asked, "Dale, what is this?" and then handed the card to his husband. Dale looked at the card and tears formed in his eyes and streamed down his face. "Charlie, mom and dad are retiring and opening an investment firm of their own in Brevard. Did you know anything about this?" "Dale, I did, but they wanted to let Jimmy surprise you twice, and apparently he has done that well." Dale grabbed his husband, planted his face in Charlie's shoulder and wailed. He was crying so hard that Jaiden and Peyton were concerned and walked into the room to check on him.

When Dale finally calmed down, the four amigos went outside to sit in the swings on the veranda. Jaiden hugged Dale and asked, "Bro, are you OK?" Dale said that he was, and that he was shocked that is parents would be moving to where he was living to be with him, Charlie, and the children after so many years of ignoring him. He said he didn't understand why so many good things were happening so fast, and why his life suddenly took an amazing turn with his family. Things had been better since his and Charlie's children were born, but he never imagined such a reunion with his family. He started crying again and Charlie pulled him into a loving, warm embrace saying, "Babe, I knew this was going to happen, I just didn't know when. I love you so, so much and to see all this good happening for you is incredible for me." The he kissed Dale on his forehead, pulled Dale's head to his chest and rubbed the side of his husband's head. "Let it go, Dale; it's been a long time coming, so let it out sweetheart." Peyton and Jaiden quietly got up and went inside so Dale and Charlie could be alone together.

Tuesday, the guys and their parents met at the bistro in the alleyway for lunch. Dale was still emotional about everything, so Phyllis sat next to him in the restaurant and held him, rubbing his back the way she did to help Jaiden calm down when he would get upset while missing his dad. She rubbed Dale's head as he laid it on her shoulder. She isn't Dale's mother, but you sure wouldn't know it if you were watching her figuratively console her adopted son. This was the day that Dale would become a new, happier person, and a more inventive, attentive Dad to his children. He would not, however, stop spoiling Alaina Noelle, NEVER!

Later in the afternoon, Peggy walked upstairs to check on Dale and make sure he was OK. She didn't like seeing him so emotional, and yet he wasn't, something she didn't understand. She sat and talked with him a few minutes to get a feel for where he was emotionally. "Dale, son, would you like for me to give you something to help you calm down a little bit more so you can relax?" Dale did something he had never done before. He looked at Peggy and said, "Mom, thank you, but no. If I get more relaxed than I am right now, any happier than I am right now, I won't be able to stay awake, and I have a few things to finish -- and then I am going home and take a nap." "Good, Buddy; that's exactly what you need to do. We'll talk more tonight, OK?" "Yes, Mam, I love you to Mars and back." "Ditto, son, ditto!"

1,841 words of love, and they aren't going to stop anytime soon, if ever.

When the children got home from school, they all poured into the dining room and did their homework. No demands, no arguments, no coercion, no nothing! They did it on their own, and that was a big change in their after school behavior. When the dads found out what all their children had done, they talked with their kids to make sure nothing was wrong. All the children related that they loved their new school, loved their new teachers, and wanted to make their dads, their grandparents, and their new teachers proud of them. Charlie looked at Jaiden and asked, "Dude, where are our children, I don't know these kids?" The dads hugged each of their children and told them how proud of them that they were, especially of the kids adjusting so well to the move to Brevard. There is no traffic noise, we get to see all the animals that live on the mountain, everything around here is beautiful, and we are happier here. I wish we had moved here a long time ago. It is so comfortable here."

It took all Jaiden had not to let tears flow in front of the children. He didn't want to upset them, but maybe it would be good for the children to see that their dads could be emotional too. Peggy thought so.

Jaiden, Peyton, Dale, and Charlie had to teach two classes tonight, so they got their things and headed to Wellstone. They didn't realize that on the first night they would be answering a lot of questions about being the famous couple who had their names on an apartment door in the Senior dorm. They got their syllabus covered, let the students know what to expect, and let them know that if they didn't do the work, they would flunk the course. "And don't have your parents calling us to ask why you are flunking. If you are not doing the assignments, studying, and passing the exams, we will tell them that and let you suffer the consequences. Whatever you do, don't try us in that regard. And before you ask us, yes, Dr. Peyton's uncle is Dean of Men and his aunt is the head of housing on campus, and no, we won't ask for favors for you."

The guys have done something to start their students off on the right foot, or the left as the case may be:

"Pop Test!" The students were furious to have a pop test on the first day. But their ire was about to change.

"Put your full name in the top left corner of the paper, and put the date in the top right corner."

"Test question 1: Did you write your full name in the top left corner of the paper? Write yes or no." Just a word to the wise, NO is not the correct answer.

"Test question 2: Did you write the date in the top right corner of your paper? Write yes or no. No is not the correct answer.

"Test question 3: Do you intend to study and do the work to pass this course? Write yes or no. No is not the correct answer."

"Test Question 4: Did you spell your name correctly on the paper? Answer yes or no. No is not the correct answer to the question."

"Test Question 5: Did you write the correct date on your paper as it appears on the white board? Answer yes or no. No is not the correct answer."

"Now pass your paper to the person to your right. It may necessitate the individuals in the far right row taking their papers to their classmates on the left side of the room. When you have done that, check to make sure all answers are correct. If they are, write and circle 100 in the top center of the pop test. In case you haven't yet realized it, you have started off with a 100 GPA in this class. See you Thursday night. Don't forget to do your assignments listed on your syllabus."

All the students had huge smiles as they left the classroom. Never had they had a professor start a class in such a nice way. It was going to be a good semester, they could feel it -- and so could their professors.

The young men would be getting home around eleven PM on class nights, but since this was the first night and the syllabi had been covered, they were getting home a couple of hours early. When they walked in the door, they were surprised that the children had done their homework, had their baths, and were already in bed asleep. Charlie said, "Saints be praised. This hasn't happened before." Peyton and Jaiden laughed as did Dale. Since the children were already in bed and asleep, that would give the dads some extra time with each other.

The amigos went into their rooms, stripped off their clothes, got into their beds, and pulled each other close and whispered sweet nothings into their spouses ears as they shared tender kisses. Tonight was extra special for them, a night they wouldn't forget for a long time. Charlie's and Peyton's flashlights, or as the British would say, their torches, were shining brightly. For Jaiden and Dale, the flags on their flag poles were at full mast! Each spouse very much ended up satisfying the other -- several times over.

When the dads awoke the following morning, they showered with their respective mates, grabbing each other's butts and salivating on each other's torches. They were in the best mood ever, and it was going to last all day, and perhaps then some. Neither of the guys expected their good fortune to last into the new night, but it did. Lightning bolts, soft thunder, cooing, kissing, it all happened -- again!

"Peyton." "Yes, Jaiden." "Do you realize you still have the cutest bubble ass I have ever seen?" "Yeah, I do. And did you know you are still as handsome and as sexy as ever?" "I know I try to be -- just for you, babe."

From the looks of things, Jaiden and Peyton were going to be a little late getting to their office. They had other `things' on their mind that morning that they would tend to before going in to work. They had never done that before, but this morning, that is what they were going to do. It was also noted that the two young doctors were going to be in a good mood allll dayyyy longggg!

It seemed every child Jaiden and Peyton saw during the day left their office laughing after giggling through their exams. The children loved their new doctors and a few even got a shot from Jaiden that day that they didn't even know they had received. Jaiden knew he was good at giving children shots, but he didn't know he was that good. But he was .... and is. Who would have thought?
