======================== Justin and Chris - Chapter 4 by JT Poole

We join Lance and the guys at Club Thunder, a hip and trendy hot spot in downtown Orlando. Lance is meeting a group of guys that are looking to sign to a record label, and Lance really didn't want to do it, but since he forget he changed the schedule, he is stuck doing this one last thing before the guys go back on the road for touring.

"So Lance, what kind of a deal would we get if we signed with FreeLance tonight?" Cole asked.

"Well, to start, we would offer you a two-record contract and..." Lance spoke, as Randy came over and sat between him and Cole. "As I was saying, we would offer you a two-record deal, you guys would start off touring with some other groups on the label so you can get some publicity and Freelance will front 50% of your expenses."

"So you are saying that we have to pay for half of everything?" Cole asked.

"After your first album is complete, then your contract can be renegotiated and that can be changed, but up front, we only cover half of your expenses." Lance explained.

"Okay, what about show bookings, how would that be handled?" Cole asked.

"You will be assigned a press agent and a booking agent and they will find clubs and places for you guys to perform, but you must do all that you can to make a name for yourself. FreeLance will market you, but there is only so much FreeLance can do." Lance stated.

"Does FreeLance only handle musical acts?' Randy asked.

"Right now yes, but I am looking into other things to manage. Why do you have any ideas?" Lance asked, as Randy grabbed his hand and pulled him up. "What are you doing?"

"Why don't we talk about this on the dance floor." Randy stated, dragging Lance towards the dance floor.

"Great, just great, he's going to ruin this for us." Cole stated as Reese just shrugged and kept on sipping on his drink.

As Randy and Lance are out on the dance floor dancing, Justin and Chris notices the look on Lance's face, he looks kind of happy and peaceful, a look they haven't seen on his face in a long time. Moving over closer to check things out, Justin and Chris maneuver themselves closer and closer to Lance and the strange guy dancing.

"Hey Scoop, what are you doing?" Justin asked.

"What does it look like I am doing, I am dancing!" Lance yelled over the music.

"But why, I thought you had business to attend to?" Justin spoke again.

"I was, but Randy pulled me out on the dance floor, so now we are dancing." Lance yelled again.

"Scoop, we need to talk." Justin stated as he grabbed Lance's arm. "I don't think you understand what's happening."

"Hey Lance, where are you going, the song isn't over yet." Randy stated, as he grabbed Lance's other arm.

"Just give me a moment, I will be back in a minute." Lance stated walking away with Justin.

"Lance, do you understand what was happening back there?" Justin asked.

"Justin what are you doing? Why did you pull me away from Randy, we were dancing." Lance stated.

"Lance, he's gay, he's trying to pick you up." Justin stated.

"No he's not, we were just dancing." Lance spoke. "It's all innocent dancing Justin."

"Okay fine Scoop, I did warn you." Justin stated, as he walked away to go join Chris again.

"Is everything okay Lance?" Randy asked, as he walked over to Lance to get him back out on the dance floor. "You don't like so hot right now."

"I am fine. Randy, why did you pull me on the dance floor?" Lance asked.

"Because I wanted to dance with you, why?" Randy asked.

"Well Justin seems to think that you are gay and you were trying to pick me up. Were you trying to pick me up?" Lance asked.

"To tell you the truth, Hell Yeah, I was trying to pick you up." Randy stated.

"What!" Lance screamed, as he pushed Randy away and walked outside of the club.

"Oh shit, what did you say to him Randy?!?!" Cole asked as he run over to him.

"He asked me was I trying to pick him up and I told him yes. He pushed me and ran out the door." Randy stated.

"Look what you have done, you have messed this up for us, I told you not to, I asked you not to do this and you do it anyway." Cole stated, as he walked away.

After a few minutes had gone by, JC and Joey returned to the table looking for Lance. They wanted to know how much time they had left before everyone would be leaving. After they learned of what had happened between Lance and Randy, they both had a strange look on their faces as they turned around and walked away.

"I am sorry Cole, I didn't mean to mess things up for you guys, but he's cute and I like him. I want to get to know him better. I just don't know why he acted the way he did." Randy stated.

"Could it be that he's not gay and that he's disgusted by man trying to pick him up." Cole stated.

"I said I was sorry, give me a break will you." Randy stated.

"Where, your neck or your back, which one do you want me to break for you?" Cole asked.

"It's okay Cole, he didn't offend me that much, I was just a little shocked is all." Lance stated as he walked up behind the two men arguing.

"I am sorry Lance. I didn't mean to offend you. I like you very much, I didn't stop to think rather or not you were gay or straight. Could you please forgive me?" Randy asked.

"Don't worry about it, it's okay now. No harm done." Lance stated.

"Can I get a hug?" Randy asked.

"Oh come on Randy, you are pushing it now." Cole stated.

"Sure, no problem, it's okay." Lance stated as he leaned in and gave Randy a hug.

At that very moment, something strange happened to Lance. He didn't know what was happening to him, but he felt different, funny, like something had been unlocked within his mind, something deep within his soul had just gotten free. He didn't know what was going on, but he felt like a spark had when through his body when he and Randy hugged.

"Lance, Lance are you okay?" Randy asked.

"I'm sorry, yeah I am fine, never better." Lance answered.

"What's going on over here, Lance are you okay?" JC asked as he approached Lance and Randy.

"Yeah I am fine, why does everyone keep asking me that?" Lance asked.

"Well you have this strange look on your face like you were shot with the Joker's laughing tonic." Joey stated.

"I am fine, trust me, I am just fine." Lance stated.

"Lance, are you sure you are fine? You have your arms wrapped around his waist like you two were dating or something." JC whispered into Lance's ear.

"Not yet, but soon." Lance stated.

"What?! What do you mean soon?" JC shouted.

"We will be soon." Lance stated again.

"Okay, maybe I missed something, where is the real Lance, and what did you do with him?" JC asked.

"I am the real Lance, would you just calm down before you pop a gut or something." Lance stated.

"Lance are you drunk? Has he been drinking a lot?" JC asked the guys standing around.

"No, he hasn't touched his drink at all." Cole stated.

"Lance what's going on here, why are you acting strange?" JC asked.

"I am not acting strange, but I am getting tired. You guys getting ready to go?" Lance asked.

"I will go get the others, don't you do anything else." JC stated.

"Cole, if you guys are interested in signing with Freelance, give me a call." Lance stated as he handed Cole one of his business cards. "Randy, what are your plans for the rest of the night?"

"Whatever you have planned." Randy answered.

"Cool, why don't you come back to my place, we can talk and get to know each other." Lance stated, as Justin, Chris and JC walked over to them.

"We are all ready Lance, let's go." JC stated.

"Goodnight guys, I hope to hear from you guys soon." Lance stated as he walked out with the guys and Randy in tow.
