Leo blinked a few times, he was used to Piper's humor, but usually that was a private facet of her personality. "Piper, say something else like that, and I can barf on the demon for us."

"Count me in on that one." Paige scrunched up her nose, and put her hand on Piper's arm.  "Besides, no thinking about your ex-honey. Though I could be swayed to let you talk about me like that."

Leo's eyes widened, looking at Paige. "Guess things changed here as well." The white lighter looked at Piper, giving her a ‘tell me' look.

"Anyway..." Piper quickly said, dismissing everything. "Ryker... Source-like demon... are we summoning him or do we have to strip Leo semi naked and wave him in front of every demon in the underworld to draw him out?"

"As fun as that second thing sounds..." Chris began with a smile. "I don't think we have to go that far. All we really need to do is wait for him to come."

"Why wait? We can draw him out." Piper said.

"How?"

"Still working on that." She answered.

Leo frowned at the comment. “Before the next suggestion is me mud wrestling in a pair of biker shorts, can I suggest I just orb a few times so they sense my energy?"

"You orb a few times with me around and I'm going to get a hose and spray you down. I don't need to see that!"

“No orbing to the underworld alone... I'll come with you... to keep ya honest because if I know you and I think I do... you'd try to find and take the demon on yourself to protect the rest of us." Chris said with confidence in his knowledge.

"Yeah sounds like Leo... also sounds like someone else we know." Piper stated.

"Who? Me? Whatever." Chris dismissed it with a roll of his eyes.

"Okay, we orb around down in the underworld, then back to the manor once they spot us. And no, I repeat no, stunts of heroics. By anyone." Leo said, wanting to make everything clear.

"I will behave... I promise." Chris lifted his right hand and smiled the most innocent smile he had in him.

"Oh yeah... that smile inspires confidence." Piper didn't believe him but she didn't have much choice.

"Chris, no matter what you're feeling, you need to do the right thing. No heroics. You can't go charging in. You're pregnant, and the world needs you."

"Hate to admit it, but Leo's got a point." Paige said, and covered her side, before Piper could hit her, pleasantly surprised when no such hit happened.

"Was he this overprotective of you when you were pregnant with Wyatt, mom?"

"Overprotective wasn't the word I used but yeah." Piper confessed. "Nonetheless, you have to listen to him."

"I know." Chris nodded. "Let's go, Dad."

Leo nodded his head, and took Chris's hand. "You guys be ready for when we orb back in. Be safe." The white lighter squeezed Chris's hand, letting him know he was ready, then started to orb, knowing Chris would follow.

Chris orbed, following Leo's trail and soon found himself in a dark cavern in the underworld. "Is it just me or does this place smell like rotten eggs and dirty socks? God it's making me sick."

"It's not just you." Leo said, and kissed Chris's cheek. "Come on, thankfully we don't have to stick around." Leo orbed to a new spot, this time on a cliff. ~Come on! Sense the good white ligher you evil bastards. ~

"Ew... this place is worse." Chris made quite a disgusted face. "Babe do you think pregnancy has made me wimpy?" He had no idea where that question was coming from... could have just been hormones. Lately they'd been playing with his emotions as much as his body... making him insecure not only of himself but of his relationship with Leo.

"No, you're not wimpy Christopher." Leo looked around, wanting to keep the advantage of them sneaking up. "They're not here." Leo squeezed Chris's hand so his lover would know he was going to orb.

Chris orbed with Leo, yet again following him. "We don't need to find him... let's just sit still for a minute... he's bound to pick up your scent... not that you smell bad. You know what I mean... he'll sense you."

Leo nodded, and kept an eye out. "Are you feeling okay? Is this too much for you baby?" The white lighter held his hand to Chris' forehead.

"Dad! Stop it! I'm fine. You worry about me too much and it was cute for the first five seconds but now it's just annoying... I'm not going to break because of..." Chris stopped mid-sentence when he saw a shadow on the wall approaching. "Shh."

Leo held his breath, keeping his hand in Chris'.  He looked around, for somewhere they could hide and get a view of how many minions the wannabe source would have with him. If it was in fact the right demon they were looking for. The white lighter saw boulder that they could fit behind. "This way!" Leo whispered, dragging Chris behind the boulder.

“Ow!” Chris whispered lightly. “You don’t know your own strength, man.” Chris rubbed his wrist lightly as he watched the shadow grow until he could finally see the face of the creature approaching. “Not him.” He said to his Dad but forgot to lower his voice this time, prompting attention from the demon.

“Who’s there?” The demon asked and quickly charged up an energy ball as he approached the boulder. “I smell the stench of a white lighter…” The energy ball grew in size along with the demon’s cocky smile. “Ooh and a witch… lucky me. It’s a two for one special.”

“Uh… Dad… it’s all you.”

Leo stood, revealing himself from behind the boulder.

“You!” The demon practically growled.

“Ooh Dad, you’re famous!”

Leo gestured emphatically to one side and the demon flew, hitting a rock wall. “Yeah, me.” Leo then brought his hands up in front of him but Chris quickly stopped him.

“No… what if he knows where the demon we’re after is? We should keep him around long enough to talk.”

“How, Chris?” Leo asked. “It’s not like we have a crystal cage down here.”

While Chris and Leo discussed their next course of action, the demon shimmered out, seconds later appearing behind Chris, grabbing him and raising a knife to his throat. “Make one move and he gets it, white lighter.”

It was then Chris brought his arm forward then slammed it back, his elbow painfully making contact with the demon’s ribs. “Okay… screw getting information from him… blow him up, Dad.”

Leo gestured emphatically towards the demon and just like that he’d blown into a thousand little fiery pieces.

“Very nice…” Chris said with a smile, which soon dissipated when he saw the stern look on Leo’s face. “What?”

“Don’t you ‘what’ me… you know what! This is exactly why I didn’t want you involved in the first place. That demon could have killed you… not to mention, our unborn child.”

“Dad…” Chris started with an easy tone, trying to calm his husband. “I’m the white lighter now… I can’t die.”

“Not the point… the point is you shouldn’t be anywhere near this… stuff. Come on… I’m taking you home.” Leo grabbed Chris’ arm and they orbed out of the underworld and into the manor.

“This is so not fair!” Chris exclaimed loudly. “I am not a child!”

“Yes you are… you are MY child!” Leo shot back.

“Uh… what’s going on?” Piper inquired, not expecting to get the response she got from her son.

“Stay out of this, mom!”

“Hey! Don’t talk to your mother that way!” Leo practically ordered.

"I am not a useless piece of trash and I am sick and tired of you treating me that way just because I'm pregnant. I'm still my own person and can make decisions for myself without your consent."

"That's where you're wrong, Chris, because your choices no longer only affect you, they affect that baby inside of you." Leo did nothing to hide just how upset he really was. "You used to be able to be reckless all you wanted when it was just you but you're no longer one person… you're part of a family and your decisions affect us all, including me, and I will not stand around and watch you put your life as well as the baby's in danger!"

"Baby baby baby baby… it's all I ever hear anymore! It's like I don't even exist! I'm just a means to an end… the end being the baby!"

Leo was shocked to hear this. Chris couldn’t honestly believe this… could he? “Is that what you think?”

“It’s what it looks like.” Chris sighed loudly. “I need to get out of here. Don’t follow.” He orbed out, leaving Leo, Piper, and Paige flabbergasted.

“Well he certainly has a little more of a kick than Piper did when she was pregnant with Wyatt.”

“Paige!” Piper scolded her sister.

“What? I was just saying… geez… kill a girl for talking.” Paige rolled her eyes. “I’m going to go make us some tea. I’m thinking we need it.” She walked away, leaving Piper and Leo alone.

“Leo… say something.”

“What do you want me to say, Piper? That it’s my fault he thinks I care more about the baby than I care about him?”

“No.” She quickly responded. “I was thinking more along the lines of, ‘I need to go talk to him’ or ‘I need to bring him back because without his powers, he’s easy prey’ or even ‘That kid gets on my last nerve.’ Pick one.”

“You heard him… he wants to be alone.” Leo sat down on the couch and slumped back, defeated.

“That’s one of the advantages of being his father, you know. You get to say no to him because you’re allowed to do what’s best for him even if he doesn’t like it.”

“I know but... he meant what he said. I don’t want to do anything to fortify any of his beliefs.” Leo looked at her, letting his face express everything he was feeling.

“I’m usually all for the issue resolving and whatever but you have to look at the bigger picture here. He’s out there by himself pregnant and without his powers… that takes precedent over everything else. So go get him… drag him back kicking and screaming and then work on the issues because if something happens to him… there will be no one to work the issues out with.”

Leo gave her a half smile. “You’re definitely going to be a white lighter in your next life.”

“Ugh… what an awful thing to say!”

“Hey!” He sat up. “Not nice. All right… I’ll go get him.” And with that he orbed out of the manor and to where he knew he’d find his love.

From where he stood, atop the Golden Gate Bridge, Chris saw orbs appears and he knew it was Leo. No one else knew that this was their place.

“I’m pretty sure I said not to follow me.”

“Chris listen to me… you need to come home with me. You can hate me at home but you can’t stay alone… not without your powers.” Leo said calmly.

“What the hell do you care? Oh yeah … you just want to make sure I don’t kill the baby.”

~ Ouch. ~ “No…” Leo reaffirmed. “Baby, you’re easy prey without your powers to defend yourself and I would never forgive myself if something happened to you because of me.”

“You mean if something happened to the baby.”

“No… I mean if something happened to you. Chris, come on…” Leo reached out to touch Chris’ arm but the younger man flinched away from his touch. “How long are you going to stay mad at me?”

“You don’t get it, do you? It’s not about being mad at you… it’s about finding out what I mean to you… which obviously isn’t much.” Tears formed in Chris’ eyes but he fought them back and not even one of them fell.

“How can you say that?”

The question received a look from Chris.

“Okay so maybe I can see how you would think that… and I am sorry. Really, I am. I realize I’ve been kind of… baby-centric lately.”

“Kind of?” Chris asked.

“Okay…completely. But the point is… I love you, baby.” When Leo saw Chris turn away from him, he grabbed the boy’s hand, making Chris face him again. “I love you. I realize now overprotecting… worrying too much… may not be the way to deal with my fears so help me, hit me, hate me… do anything but don’t leave me.”

Chris sighed loudly. “Why am I such a sucker for you?”

“Because you love me.” Leo replied, smiling.

“Yeah, don’t remind me. Come on, let’s go home.” Chris said and grabbed Leo’s hand and they orbed back to the manor.

Leo was relieved when he saw the interior of the attic, knowing that Chris was safe with the sisters and himself to protect the boy. "I'll try to be less baby-oriented." Leo said to his husband, and smiled at Piper, letting her know things were under control.

"Yeah we'll see... meanwhile we still have a demon to vanquish... and it wasn't the one you blew up in the underworld." Chris quickly told Leo.

"Leo blew up a demon? Woo hoo! Go Leo! Definitely not a pacifist anymore." Piper joked.

Leo smiled and shook his head at Piper's comment. "I'm still me. I just have to protect my Chris. So, baby, how about we all sit down and figure out where we need to go from here?" Leo was a little worried still over Chris possibly getting hurt, but didn't want to make it obvious.

"Well..." Chris paced back and forth on the attic as his mind formulated plans and ideas. "We could try the underworld again but it's pretty vast... I still say a good summoning spell and hope the power of ... well us ... is enough. I don't see any other options because waiting for my husband and father of my child getting killed is not an option."

"I'm not going to get killed. I have the best chance, and I thought the summoning spell was a last resort?" Leo looked at Chris, not trying to be difficult. "It's too hard to do without the power of three. And I-" Leo stopped, not wanting to bring up the baby thing again. "I think we should ask Piper and Paige what they think. They're a part of this too."

"I think we should try using Leo as bait again." Piper stated simply.

"I knew you were going to say that." Chris groaned and sighed.

"It's the safest thing we have right now." Leo said, trying to convince Chris.

"You're just saying that because you don't want your man getting fried!" Paige smirked. ""Don't give me that look Piper, I'm right."

"Well obviously I don't want Leo getting fried... although a tan would be nice." Chris smiled at Leo and turned back to his mom and aunt. "If there's anyway we can avoid leaving me fatherless and my child... not to mention Wyatt... I'd like to explore that way..."

"Aw honey... what do you know, Leo? He actually loves you!" Piper said in a chuckle.

"I never doubted that." Leo remembered how Chris had woken him up this morning and grinned. "But, okay let's sit and talk. Do you two," Leo looked over at Piper and Paige. "Have any suggestions?" He thought about using Chris's power to knock Paige on her butt, but decided he might accidentally send her across the room.

"We can go with you this time... since Chris doesn't have the active power right now.  So you can relax that we won't let anything happen to Leo, Chris... how does that sound?" Piper asked Chris.

"Eh..."

"I realize you're never going to be okay with it but is it safer?" Piper interrupted him.

"Fine... do whatever you want. I give up." Chris flopped down on the couch.

Leo blinked a few times, wondering where he'd gone wrong this time. ~That went badly. ~ He crossed his arms over his chest. "How about Piper stays with Chris, and Paige comes with me?" Leo said, not wanting to leave Chris by himself. ~I'm not going to push it, but I can't just go without trying. ~

"No... They should both go with you, daddy. I have the baby's shield to protect me if anything happens while you're gone." Chris told Leo, trying not to overreact about Leo... after Leo was a strong man... Chris admired Leo's strength, intelligence, and his instincts so he had to trust them now. If anyone could defend himself, it was Leo. "I'll be fine."

Leo nodded and walked over to Chris. "You know I had to ask." He hoped Chris understood what he meant, and leaned down and kissed his son's cheek. "Try not to worry. I'm not going to let anything stop me from getting back to you."

"If you do... I'll summon you from the dead just to kick your ass. I'm a witch. I can do that." Chris said seriously and Piper laughed.

"If I die, I'll never get to make love to you again. So there's no worries, you know how much I love being," Leo nipped Chris' ear. "In you." Leo stood up. "With you." He said louder for Piper and Paige to hear. "All right. Last chance to back out." Leo looked to Piper and Paige.

~ God damn it... now I'm aroused... dildos... I need dildos. ~ Chris thought to himself with a quiet whimper.

"I'm in." Piper said and stood up. "Paige?"

"And miss Leo acting manly for once?" Paige smiled.

"Ha ha." Leo scowled at the redhead. "I'll be back before you know it, baby." Leo blew Chris a kiss.

"I'll drag you back by your hair if you're not here in 15 minutes. Don't mess with me." Chris said sternly.

"Now who's giving orders?" Piper added. "Come on people. I have cookies in the oven."

"Really?" Chris asked.

"No." She smiled.

Leo frowned at Piper's dig. "You shouldn't do that. Remember how much you wanted cookies when you were pregnant?"

"No..." She said quickly. "...Okay maybe... I'll bake when I get home."

"It's fine... I don't NEED cookies..." Chris said with his best hurt puppy look.

"I'll make sure she makes you cookies, Chris." Leo promised. "We ready to go ladies?"

Chris smiled brightly at his husband.

"Yeah... ready." Piper answered.

Piper, Paige and Leo all got back safely after vanquishing the demon. Although a smart ass cut to Leo got Paige a very hard slap in the arm from Piper.

It had been strange for Leo, having to dive out of the way, not being able to orb out. Though having Chris's power had helped a lot.  He told Piper to go make cookies, and Paige to check on Wyatt... Leo wanted some alone time with Chris.

The blonde white lighter found Chris, and kissed him hello. "See. Safe and sound."

Chris was snapped out of his daydream by Leo's kiss. "Oh... good. I never doubted ya... much." He smiled wide.

"You doubted me?" Leo smiled and sat down next to Chris.  "Hmm maybe I should go tell Piper to stop making cookies. I thought you would be much more happier I was home..."

"I am happy! What makes ya think I'm not happy?" Chris scooted closer to Leo and wrapped his arms around Leo's arm.

"I know you're happy.... Piper’s making you cookies." Leo teased his husband. "Seriously though I was just teasing you Chris. You looked so cute, thinking hard. What was it you were thinking about?”

"Us... the baby... the fact that we're an us... the fact that I love you more each day... the fact that we're going to be three soon... a family... and that I want this... for the rest of my life." Chris said staring into space, avoiding locking eyes with Leo for fear of tears of joy spilling.

"That's what the man in Hawaii told us. Forever." Leo lifted one of Chris's arms and kissed the palm. "I love this. I love getting to be with you. Knowing that we made that little baby you are carrying. I'm not going to give it up ever." Leo really wanted to look at Chris, but he wasn't staring off. "Christopher, look at me. Are you all right?"

"I'm fine..." Chris said then looked at Leo. "More than fine. You must be tired... how abo... oh god..." Chris' face contorted in pain as he clutched his hands his belly.

"Chris?" Leo got up. "Piper! Paige! Get in here!" Leo crouched down. "What's wrong?" The white lighter tried to be calm, but he was scared seeing Chris clutch his stomach.

"I don't know... oh god it hurts... oh my god..." Chris practically whimpered in pain.

"What?! The cookies are baking man... leave me al... oh my god Chris... what's wrong?" Piper ran to her son's side.

"Leo what happened?" Paige asked, visibly concerned.

"He just started clutching his stomach. Nothing happened. No demons. No..." Leo looked at Piper. "What do I do? I can't orb. Can we take him to the hospital?" Leo looked at his friend's needing their help.

"Leo, you can orb still... that's not the problem though. What do we say at the hospital? We have a pregnant male!"

"Paige is right..." Piper agreed. "But we have to do something!"

Just then Chris' body gave out and he collapsed on the floor, fainted.

"The gypsy doctor!" Paige yelled.

"What?!"

"The gypsy doctor that helped you with you pregnancy."

"Ooooh!" Piper said when realization hit her.

"Okay." Leo picked Chris up carefully, terrified, but needing to look after Chris. "Paige, orb Piper?"

"Of course... come on..." Paige grabbed Piper's hand and they orbed out quickly.

Leo orbed, surprised that he was able to, even after what Paige had said. When they go to the witchdoctor's Leo looked around. "Help! I need some help in here!" Leo stopped shouting when he saw the witch doctor.
