'THE END IS NEAR'

Kurt walked into Gab's place and sat down in his living room area. Looking around the house he forgot how nice it was. The furniture was all imported from Europe. Original paintings hung on his walls. It was a house right out of 'Better Homes and Gardens.'

"Can I get you a drink?" Gab asked.

"No, I'm fine thanks," Kurt replied. Gab then sat down next to Kurt. He was still surprised that Kurt was even at his place.

"I have to admit that you are the last person I expected to see when I opened the door a minute ago," Gab said.

"Yeah," Kurt replied. "I know. I'm sorry to just barge in on you like this."

"It's fine," Gab said. "Not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?"

"I just needed to get away," Kurt said. "I've just been really stressed out lately."

"Because of Monica's wedding?" Gab asked.

"You know?" Kurt asked.

"Yeah," Gab replied. "She told me last week when I had her over for breakfast. She invited me, but I don't think I'll be able to make it."

"So she told you who she's marrying?" Kurt asked.

"Ryan's dad," Gab confirmed.

"Yeah," Kurt said. "And I'm sure you know that Ryan and I aren't together anymore."

"I did hear that too," Gab said. "How are things between you and him?"

"They started out fine," Kurt said. "To make a long story short, Ryan pissed me off and now we're no longer speaking."

"Wow," Gab said. "I'm sorry to hear that."

"And now with his dad and my mom getting married we're forced to plan this wedding together and I just needed to go and see someone," Kurt said.

"Why me?" Gab asked.

"You're not connected with all of this," Kurt replied. "You're the only one I know who isn't a friend of Ryan's."

"So you came here to escape Ryan?" Gab asked.

"Yeah," Kurt replied. "I'm sorry, I'm an ass for being here like this."

"No, it's fine," Gab said. "Really, it's okay."

"No it's not," Kurt said. "I'm a jerk for coming here and throwing all of this on you."

"Kurt, if there's one thing I'm certain of, it's that you're not a jerk," Gab said sincerely.

"I must be keeping you busy at least," Kurt said. "I'm

sure you have scripts to read or a photo shoot to do or something."

"Well, I have to meet my boyfriend in a bit," Gab said.

"You have a boyfriend?" Kurt asked. "That's great."

"Yeah, we've been together for a couple months now," Gab replied.

"Good for you," Kurt said happy to hear that Gab is with someone. "I'm sorry for taking up your time. I should go."

"Are you sure?" Gab asked.

"Yeah," Kurt replied getting up. "I just needed a moment to not be around someone that reminds me of Ryan. Thanks Gab."

"No problem," Gab said giving Kurt a hug. "I'll walk you to the door."

As Kurt was walking out of the house Gab stopped him to say, "Kurt, if there's one thing I realized from being around you and Ryan, is that you and him are supposed to be together. I'm sure you two will make up."

"I don't think so," Kurt said. "I think that him and I are through for good this time. Thanks for trying to be optimistic though."

"Well, hope everything works out for you," Gab said.

"Thanks," Kurt replied. "I hope things go great with you and your man."

"Thank you," Gab smiled. "And thanks for stopping by."

As Kurt walked down the driveway he saw Ryan coming out of his mom's house across the street. 'So much for a moment with out him around,' Kurt thought as he headed to his car. When Ryan spotted Kurt coming down the driveway he immediately got jealous because he knew who's house he was leaving.

"Why were you at Gab's house?" Ryan asked approaching Kurt.

"No reason," Kurt replied not wanting to talk to Ryan.

Ryan then started to get jealous, "Did you sleep with him?"

"What?" Kurt asked surprised by how upset Ryan was getting.

"You're pissed at me so you know the one thing that would really make me feel like crap is if you went and slept with Gab, right?" Ryan accused.

"Hold on a second," Kurt began, but Ryan was too upset.

"I've said a million times that I'm sorry, but obviously that doesn't matter," Ryan said. "You just want to continue to hurt me. Well congratulations. You just did."

Ryan then stormed off to his car leaving Kurt in shock of how upset he got. He wasn't exactly a fan of Ryan at the moment, but he would never dream of attempting to do something that horrible just to get him angry.

A week passed and it was the most uncomfortable week that Kurt and Ryan have ever had. They both were quiet with one another, Kurt still upset with Ryan over Josh and Ryan was pissed with Kurt thinking he slept with Gab. Kurt knew he could have explained things to Ryan, but at the same time, he liked that Ryan finally wasn't trying to talk to him. He was finally able to move on now. While the week was hard for Ryan and Kurt, it was much better for Leo. His first week at the internship went amazing. He was having the time of his life being in the industry that he had always wanted to be in. It was an amazing opportunity for him. He was working right along side producers and writers and editors and already in the first week was meeting some people who could come in quite useful in the future for his career. Jesse meanwhile, was due to start his new job in Chicago in a week and he still hasn't told Leo about it. He built such a huge lie that he didn't even know where to begin telling Leo the truth.

Kurt, Leo, Ryan and Jesse were busy the night before the wedding decorating the small dining hall they rented. Kurt and Leo stayed close together. Kurt and Jesse apologized to each other for the fight they had, but things were still tense since Kurt knew Jesse was keeping something from Leo. Ryan and Jesse stayed close since Ryan didn't want to be around Kurt.

"Kind of tense here tonight," Leo said quietly to Kurt.

"Tell me about it," Kurt replied. "Kind of ironic that we're decorating for a wedding, huh?"

"Yeah," Leo replied.

"So tell me about the internship," Kurt said.

"It's great," Leo replied. "Really great. I'm working along side this guy named Logan Daniels who is awesome. He's written some of the biggest movies in Hollywood."

"That's awesome," Kurt smiled. "I'm really proud of you. You're finally doing what you want to do."

"Yeah," Leo replied. "And I know it's going to be tough financially for a bit with just Jesse bringing in the money, but in the long run I think it will pay off."

"Exactly," Kurt said. "And it's a six month internship with a possible employment opportunity, right?"

"Yeah," Leo said. "So hopefully if they like me, they'll hire me."

"What is the internship exactly?" Kurt asked.

"Well, I don't work with just the writers," Leo replied. "I'm also doing stuff for producers, production assistants, etc."

"Wow," Kurt said. "You're getting a well rounded learning experience."

"I am," Leo said. "So who knows? Maybe I'll end up being a big hot shot producer one day."

"That would be great," Kurt smiled, glad to hear how happy Leo is about this internship.

"What about you?" Leo asked. "You still writing?"

"Not really," Kurt replied. "Since everything between me and Ryan I just haven't felt like it."

"You should write," Leo encouraged, "It will be a good distraction for you from all the drama that's going on."

"I guess so," Kurt replied. "I just feel like I'm in a rut right now. I don't feel like my life is moving forward anymore."

"What do you mean?" Leo asked.

"Well, before when I was with Josh, I knew he wouldn't live long, but being with someone like him was really a great thing for me to experience," Kurt explained. "I felt like I could go forward and really appreciate everything he brought to my life. It was the first time I felt hopeful like that since Ryan. And I'm really happy for you, but I have to admit I'm a little jealous of you."

"Of me?" Leo asked surprised.

"Yeah," Kurt replied. "You're life is finally getting on the path that you want. You're finally getting to that goal you always wanted."

"I guess," Leo shrugged.

"Look at where you are now compared to where you were when we first became friends," Kurt said. "You've completely grown up. I don't mean to sound corny, but I'm really proud of you Leo."

"Thanks," Leo said giving Kurt a hug, "Although don't be too jealous of my life just yet."

"I have a feeling that you're going to start talking about Jesse," Kurt said.

Leo looked across the room at Jesse and Ryan to make sure they couldn't hear him before he began, "You know how you feel your life is at a standstill? That's how I feel about Jesse and me right now."

"Really?" Kurt asked sympathetically.

"He has this wall up," Leo replied. "No matter how much I try, I just can't break it down. He's keeping something from me."

"You should just sit him down and force him to tell you," Kurt suggested.

"And how would you suggest I do that? Hold a gun to his head?" Leo asked jokingly.

"There's probably something you can do to get his attention," Kurt replied.

Leo thought it over, wondering if there was something he could do to get Jesse to open up...

Across the room, Ryan and Jesse were having a conversation of their own.

"So, I need to get something off my chest," Jesse whispered.

"Me too, but you go first," Ryan replied.

"I've been out of a job since Christmas time," Jesse said.

"What?!" Ryan hollered, causing Kurt and Leo to both turn from across the room to look at them.

"Shhh," Jesse quickly said hitting Ryan. They both went silent to wait for Kurt and Leo to get back to work on their side of the dining hall before continuing. "But it's okay because I got another job."

"Thank God," Ryan said. "Why didn't you tell us earlier?"

"I was too embarrassed," Jesse replied. "But now that I have a job it'll be okay."

"You haven't told Leo?" Ryan asked.

"No," Jesse replied. "And I don't know how I'm going to tell him I've been lying to him since Christmas."

"He's not going to take it well," Ryan warned.

"Thanks for the pep talk," Jesse hissed. "I haven't told you the worst part."

"There's worst?" Ryan asked.

"The job is in Chicago," Jesse replied.

"Chicago? Are you crazy?" Ryan asked.

"I know," Jesse sighed.

"So you're moving to Chicago?" Ryan asked.

"It's my only option," Jesse replied. "I couldn't find another job out here."

"What about Leo?" Ryan asked. "He just started that internship."

"I know," Jesse replied. "I don't know how I let things get this far."

"That is huge news to drop on someone at one time," Ryan said. "You need to really be prepared for Leo to be extremely pissed at you."

"I'm such an idiot," Jesse sighed wishing he had just been up front and honest with Leo from the start. "I got into such a huge mess."

"Just keep apologizing to him while you tell him," Ryan said. "Only thing that might help you out when you're saying this to him."

"Well, I'll deal with it when the time comes," Jesse said. "What's your news?"

"I'm moving," Ryan replied.

"Of course you are," Jesse said hardly surprised. "It's what you do."

"I can't live with Kurt anymore," Ryan replied. "We were stupid for thinking we could be broken up and live together."

"That's for the best," Jesse agreed.

"Besides, I think he's going to get back together with Gabriel," Ryan said.

"Whoa, he is?" Jesse asked. "How do you know?"

"I saw him leave Gab's house last week," Ryan replied. "I was across the street at his mom's place going over the seating chart and when I came out of the house he was walking down the driveway at his place."

"Sorry to hear that," Jesse said, "I know you were holding onto that hope that you two would get back together."

"Yeah, I guess it just wasn't meant to be," Ryan sighed.

"Where are you moving to?" Jesse asked.

"Not sure yet," Ryan replied. "I've been debating going back to school and getting my teaching credentials so I'm deciding where I want to go to school."

"Where are you thinking of?" Jesse asked.

"I'm debating going back east," Ryan replied. "It would be closer to my daughter also."

"Wow," Jesse said. "That's a big move."

"Yeah," Ryan said. "I haven't decided yet though. I'm going to stay at my dad's place until I do."

"Have you told Kurt?" Jesse asked.

"No," Ryan replied. "He wouldn't care. He doesn't want me to talk to him about anything other than this wedding."

"When are you moving out of Kurt's place?" Jesse asked.

"I think probably next week," Ryan replied.

"Looks like next week is going to be a pretty big change for us," Jesse said.

"Looks that way," Ryan replied.

The four continued to decorate the rest of the night with Kurt and Leo on one side of the room and Ryan and Jesse on the other.

That night when Kurt and Ryan got home they both went inside their rooms and sat on their beds thinking. Ryan looked at pictures of him and Kurt he still had framed and sitting on his bedside table. The love of his life and he had a feeling there wouldn't be a happy ending for the two of them. Meanwhile, Kurt was in his room thinking about his life and what he can do to change it for the better. He wished Nick was still alive. Nick was the one person who could help steer him in the right direction. Now Kurt felt completely lost and had no idea what to do.

The next morning Kurt and Ryan woke up early to make the final preparations for the wedding. Kurt went to the bakery to pick up the cake while Ryan went to pick up his suit and then head over to his dad's place to get ready. While getting ready Gordon noticed that Ryan was down. "Something wrong son?" Gordon asked.

"I'm fine Dad," Ryan replied then changing the subject. "Where are your other kids?"

"Their mother is going to drop them off at the Church," Gordon replied.

"What are their names?" Ryan asked, he's still never met them.

"Rina is the oldest, she's sixteen. Then there's Jayden who is thirteen. And the youngest is Kaitlyn and she's eleven," Gordon replied.

"Have they met Monica?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah," Gordon replied. "They all like her."

"That's good," Ryan replied. "This will be my first time meeting them."

"I know," Gordon replied. "You excited to meet your brother and sisters?"

"Yeah," Ryan said. "A little nervous, but still excited."

"They'll love you," Gordon said.

"Hope so," Ryan said.

"They're excited to meet you," Gordon said. He then just had to ask, "I don't mean to pry Ryan, but how are things with you and Kurt?"

"Not great," Ryan replied.

"That's too bad," Gordon said. "I have to admit that Monica and I wanted you two to work on this wedding together with the hopes that you two would make up."

"I don't think it's going to happen," Ryan replied. "Thanks again for letting me stay at your place until I figure out what I'm going to do."

"Of course Ryan," Gordon said. "You'll have the whole place to yourself since I'm moving in with Monica."

"Are you going to keep your place in Newport?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah," Gordon said. "So you can stay there as long as you want."

"Thanks. I just can't live with Kurt anymore," Ryan said.

"Have you talked to Kurt?" Gordon asked.

"No," Ryan replied. "I think it's finally done between us."

"Sorry to hear that," Gordon said patting Ryan on the back, "I know how much he meant to you."

"Don't worry about it," Ryan said, "Besides, it's your wedding day."

Gordon and Ryan shared a hug and headed out to go to the Church.

Over at Monica's house she was wearing a beautiful white dress. It was a very simple tea length dress made of silk. Her hair was worn down with light curls. She looked beautiful. When Kurt came into her room he smiled seeing how truly happy his mom was at that moment.

"You look gorgeous Mom," Kurt said giving her a big hug.

"Thank you sweetie," Monica replied. "Can you believe I'm doing this?"

"Well, you know what they say," Kurt replied. "Third times the charm."

"I can't believe I'm getting married again," Monica said. "After your stepfather died I swore to myself that I wouldn't get married again, but here I am."

"You can't deny love," Kurt smiled.

"No, you can't," Monica replied, but intended the comment for him, "Kurt, I know you better than you do.

I know you still love Ryan."

"Mom," Kurt sighed not wanting to talk about it.

"Just hear me out," Monica said. "Now I know Ryan hurt you, but he did it because he loves you. He didn't mean to hurt you."

"Look at you defending him," Kurt pointed out. "Remember the first impression you had of him?"

"I know I wasn't a big fan of his at first," Monica said, "But I've grown to really like him. I like him so much because of how much he cares about you."

"Mom, it's over between me and him," Kurt said. "I'm moving on."

"All right," Monica nodded, "But just know that love like that doesn't come around every day. When you're lucky enough to get it, you should hold on to it and never let go."

Kurt thought about what his mom was telling him and then the two of them left to head to the church.

Over at Leo and Jesse's place the two were finishing getting ready for the wedding. They were both quiet, neither one knew what to say to the other. Jesse was preparing himself to tell Leo the truth, but when he built such a huge lie he didn't even know how to start being honest with him.

"Hey Leo," Jesse said, "Can we talk for a minute?"

"Yeah," Leo replied. He was relieved, he had a feeling that Jesse was going to finally tell him what he's hiding.

"Listen, um, I have something to tell you," Jesse said.

"What is it?" Leo asked, "Whatever it is, you can tell me."

"You're going to hate me when I tell you," Jesse sighed.

"Tell me what?" Leo asked worried that he may not want to know what Jesse was hiding after all.

"I've been lying to you for a while," Jesse replied. "I haven't been going to work since Christmas."

"What are you talking about? Where have you been going?" Leo asked.

"I've been looking for a new job," Jesse answered.

"Why? What happened with your other job?" Leo asked.

"I got fired," Jesse said in humiliation.

"You got fired and you didn't tell me?" Leo asked. "What the hell are we supposed to do? I have an non-paying internship. Why did you not tell me before I took this internship?"

"I didn't want to hold you back," Jesse answered.

"We have no income coming in!" Leo exclaimed pissed. "You screwed us!"

"Leo, wait-" Jesse began, but Leo stormed out of the room.

"I'm going to the church," Leo said. "I'm taking my own car. Drive by yourself. I'm so pissed at you right now Jesse."

Leo then grabbed his keys and stormed out of the apartment leaving Jesse feeling like shit.

It was five minutes before the wedding was to start. Kurt was helping his mom out (he was the "Man of Honor") while Ryan was with his dad as the role of best man. Ryan met his sisters and brothers and immediately fell in love with them. Leo showed up about fifteen minutes before the ceremony and immediately searched for Kurt to talk to him. Jesse arrived a few minutes later to find Ryan.

"He completely screwed us," Leo told Kurt once he found him. The two were with Monica and a few bride's maids in a private room. Once Leo explained everything to Kurt he immediately tried to figure out what he should do.

"Maybe I should quit the internship and get my job back at the Center," Leo said.

"Don't you dare," Kurt replied. "You're finally going in a direction that you want."

"Leo, if you need money I can always help you out," Monica offered.

"I can't accept that Monica," Leo said giving her a kiss on the cheek, "But thank you."

"You're like a second son to me," Monica said, "So if you need the money, just tell me."

"I'll figure something out," Leo said.

On the other side of the church, Jesse was with Ryan and his Dad.

"It didn't go well," Jesse said. "I didn't even get a chance to tell him that I got another job."

"Well once you tell him that I'm sure it will be okay," Ryan said hopeful.

"Except for the fact that the job is in Chicago," Jesse replied. "Is he supposed to stop his internship and go with me?"

"That's for you two to decide," Ryan said.

"I just wish he gave me some more time to explain everything," Jesse said putting his face in his hands.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you two, but we gotta go get me married," Gordon said.

"Sorry to hold you up," Jesse said getting up. "I'm going to go sit down. I'll see you guys out there."

Jesse went and sat down. Leo too came to sit down, but chose a place away from Jesse to sit.

Ryan and Gordon came out and took their places in front of the Church. The music started (Cannon in D) and the bride's maids made their way down the aisle. Then finally, Monica started her walk down, escorted by Kurt. Gordon beamed with pride seeing his beautiful bride and Monica couldn't take her eyes off of him.

They made their way down the aisle and Kurt stood next to his mother as the priest began to wed them. During the ceremony Kurt looked over at Ryan, who was looking back at him. In that brief moment they both thought of the first time they met each other.

FLASHBACK

Kurt was on the phone with Nick talking about the nightmare candidates he interviewed to move into the spare bedroom at his apartment when there was a knock on the door.

"Oh, that's my last interview for the day, I wonder what will be wrong with this one," Kurt said. "I'll see you guys soon."

"Bye," Nick said.

Kurt hung up and answered the door.

"Hi, I'm Ryan," he was about 6'1, very handsome, wearing a nice leather jacket, jeans, and a blue button up shirt.

"I'm Kurt, nice to meet you," Kurt said shaking Ryan's hand. "Come on in."

"Thanks," Ryan said as he looked around the apartment. "Great place, it's very clean, I like that. I tend to be a bit of a neat freak."

"Me too," Kurt replied. "So let's get started, what do you do for a living?"

"I work at the Gay and Lesbian Clinic," Ryan replied. "I help put together programs for some of the teens that come in for help."

"Wow, that's really great," Kurt said impressed.

"Yeah, I love it," Ryan said, then handed Kurt a piece of paper, "Here's my references there if you want to call and check that I work there."

"Oh thanks," Kurt said taking the paper.

"So do you play loud music or anything?" Kurt asked.

"No, I actually probably won't be here a lot," Ryan replied. "I have a boyfriend who's place I'm at most of the time."

"Okay," Kurt said.

"But don't worry," Ryan assured. "When I am here, I like keeping things clean and I like cooking, so I'll probably cook a lot."

"Sounds good to me," Kurt joked.

"Do you think this might work out?" Ryan asked hopeful.

"Yeah," Kurt replied. "When can you move in?"

"Anytime," Ryan said.

"Well, welcome home then," Kurt answered shaking Ryan's hand.

"Great!" Ryan said excited. "Thank you so much."

END FLASHBACK

The two gave a brief smile to one another, knowing how much they've been through together and knowing that it was finally coming to an end.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the priest concluded, "You may kiss your bride."

Gordon leaned in and kissed Monica with the guests erupting in applause. Ryan and Kurt both snapped out of their daze and began clapping as well.

After the ceremony Jesse found Leo and took him to a private place to talk.

"I know you're pissed at me," Jesse began.

"No shit," Leo replied.

"But you didn't let me finish," Jesse said. "I got a job."

"You did?" Leo asked starting to feel badly for how he stormed out on Jesse earlier.

"Yeah," Jesse replied. "It's a good job. Good money."

"Well that's great," Leo said smiling in relief. "Thank God. You had me worried."

"There's a catch," Jesse said. "The job isn't in LA."

"It's outside of the city?" Leo asked.

"Outside of the state," Jesse replied. "It's in Chicago."

"Chicago?" Leo asked getting pissed all over again. "When does this job begin?"

"Next week," Jesse admitted.

"Next week?!" Leo exclaimed loudly. Guests nearby all turned to look at the two of them.

"I'm sorry, I know I should have told you this right away," Jesse said.

"A little late to apologize now," Leo rolled his eyes and walked away from Jesse.

"Everything okay?" Ryan asked as he approached Jesse.

"Nope," Jesse replied.

Later at the dinning hall were the reception was taking place. The guests were eating their dinner as Monica and Gordon made their rounds thanking guests for coming. Leo was sitting outside when Kurt finally found him.

"I was wondering where you were," Kurt said sitting down next to Leo on the bench he was sulking on.

"So it turns out Jesse found a new job," Leo said.

"That's great," Kurt said. "So everything turned out fine."

"The job is in Chicago," Leo said.

"Chicago?" Kurt asked, "He could only find a job in Chicago?"

"Apparently," Leo replied. "What am I going to do?"

"About Jesse?" Kurt asked.

"About him and me," Leo corrected. "Obviously Jesse will have to move there. But what about me? Do I stay here? Do I go with him?"

"What do you want to do?" Kurt asked.

"Right now I want to kill him for lying to me for so long," Leo replied.

"I bet," Kurt said rubbing Leo's back to comfort him.

"I wish Nick were here," Leo said.

"I've been wishing the same thing lately," Kurt said. "He'd be able to get us on the right path."

"I miss him," Leo sighed.

"Me too," Kurt replied.

The two took a moment of silence for their fallen friend. Jesse then walked up to them and coughed to get their attention.

"Kurt, would you mind if I talked to Leo?" Jesse asked.

"Sure," Kurt said getting up and walking away from them.

"Hi," Jesse said nervously.

"Hi?" Leo asked, "That's the best you can do?"

"I don't know exactly what to say here," Jesse replied.

"Well, for starters, why don't you tell me why you lied?" Leo asked.

"I was humiliated," Jesse admitted. "I didn't want anyone to know I got fired."

"Jesse, you losing your job affects me," Leo said. "You have to tell me these things."

"I know and I'm sorry," Jesse replied. "Listen, I have to move to Chicago, but I'm not going to force you to go with me. After all the lies I don't even blame you if you want to break up with me."

"I can't break up with you," Leo replied. "I love you too much...unfortunately."

The two both smiled, some of the tension starting to be relieved.

Kurt went back inside and ran into Ryan. The two have been doing their best to avoid each other as much as possible that day, but there they were now facing each other.

"Can I get you two to smile?" the photographer asked coming up to them.

"Oh, you don't need to take a picture of us," Ryan said.

"Of course I do," the photographer said, "Now smile."

The two both smiled awkwardly as the photographer snapped a picture. "Thanks," he said walking away.

"Nice wedding," Ryan said.

"Yeah," Kurt replied. "It turned out nicely."

"So, Kurt, I need to say something," Ryan said.

"You don't have to," Kurt replied.

"I do," Ryan said, "I'm moving out."

"What?" Kurt asked surprised.

"Yeah," Ryan replied. "We can't go on living together.

I'm going to stay at my dad's place in Newport for a while."

"Oh," Kurt said not knowing how to feel at that moment, "Okay."

"I just wanted to tell you that you didn't have to worry," Ryan said, "Our parents may have gotten married to each other, but I'll be out of your life soon."

Kurt just nodded, "Well, thanks for telling me."

"Yeah," Ryan replied. "I'm going to go get to know my sisters and brother."

Ryan then walked off leaving Kurt floored. He thought he didn't want Ryan in his life, but did he?

As Ryan was heading to talk to his sisters and brother he spotted Gab walk into the dinning hall. He was going to just ignore him, but his jealousy and anger took over and he went up to him.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Ryan asked. "I was told you weren't coming."

"I just stopped by to say congratulations to Monica," Gab replied. "I'm not staying."

"So you just couldn't wait, huh?" Ryan asked.

"What?" Gab asked, "What are you talking about?"

"You were just so eager to start things back up with Kurt," Ryan accused.

"With Kurt?" Gab asked.

"I saw him come out of your place last week," Ryan replied. "Congratulations. It looks like you finally won."

"Ryan, Kurt and I aren't back together," Gab said.

"Drop the act," Ryan said. "You're not that good an actor."

"I'm serious Ryan," Gab said. "I have a boyfriend. Kurt just came by to say hi. Him and I have no intention of getting back together."

"You don't?" Ryan asked.

"No," Gab replied.

"Oh," Ryan said feeling stupid, "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine," Gab said patting Ryan on the shoulder. As Gab walked away Ryan stood there thinking about Kurt. He knew the only way he'd have a chance to be able to get over him is if he left California. That's when he decided, he was going to move east.
