Saving Jordan 15

St. Patrick's Day is big in any city where there is a large Irish population or a population just looking for a reason to drink at nine in the morning. Chicago is no exception: in fact, while New York city may boast the biggest St. Pat's Day parade outside of Dublin, and Boston celebrates with Kennedy's, Celtics, and Dropkick Murphys, Chicago turns a river green to celebrate the city's Irish spirit.

During Mayor Richard J. Daley's second term, the tradition of dying the Chicago River green began. Daley was an old school Irish politician and Democratic Party boss that ran Chicago from 1955 to 1976. Each year the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130 dumps 40 to 50 pounds of dye in the River and uses a boat to churn a quarter mile of the river green. Thousands of people line the banks and bridges to watch.

It is only a six minute walk down Michigan Ave. from the Mila to the DuSable Bridge and the day was finally nice. The temperature was nearing 40 degrees, and for once the Windy City wasn't living up to its nickname. Andy was badly in need of some fresh air and exercise, so Amber decided to walk down to the bridge so Andy could see the spectacle.

Amber and Andy were waiting for the traffic light to change at the corner of Michigan and Wacker Place, when a man wearing a black leather jacket and scarf over his face, suddenly grabbed Andy and pushed Amber into traffic. There was screeching tires, and yelling then the sound of one car banging into another. A police officer across the street saw Amber fall into traffic and immediately began signaling for traffic to stop. As he rushed to her assistance, he called for emergency assistance and soon the corner was swarming with officers and emergency responders.

David Orville, private detective, had been trying to catch up with Amer and Andy, and was half a block down the street when the attack happened. He'd been keeping an eye on The Milo, when he got a tip that Amber's Ex, Garrett was in town. He'd tried calling, but Amber had left her phone in the apartment.

When he got to the scene and pushed his way through, he saw it was Amber and got one of the cops attention, "Where's the boy?"

"What boy!?"

Orville showed the office his ID and quickly explained this was likely part of a kidnapping. The officer took down what information Orville had and word went out to be on the lookout for a Andy. Orville had pictures of Andy and his father on his phone and he forwarded them to the CPD. Once the police had what they needed to start the hunt for Andy, Orville called Peter.

"What's up," Peter asked.

"Garrett attacked Amber and took Andy."

Peter slumped and Jordan steadied him. "What do we need to do?" Peter said with distress.

"Amber is being transported to Northwest Memorial Hospital. Garrett pushed her into traffic," Orville said. "Peter, you need to get there. You are family and they will need information. I will get with my contacts in the Department to see what I can find out about the hunt for Andy...Peter, I am so sorry I didn't stop this."

"David, we can't alway stop bad people. I will call the managers at The Milo to let you into my apartment. Maybe there is something there that can help."

All the while Peter had been talking, Jordan was busy getting a cab. Peter and Jordan were waiting to meet a real estate agent when they got the call, and it took them 45 minutes to get to the emergency room. When Peter got to the hospital, he was met by a Chicago police officer. Orville had contacted Detective Jones and she arranged for an office to be at the hospital to make sure there were no snags in Peter getting answers about his cousin.

Eventually, a doctor came to talk to Peter. "Usually, I would only speak to the patient's next of kin, but I understand that may be a problem. First of all, who is Andy? She keeps asking to see Andy."

"Andy is her son," Peter said. "We think Amber was attacked as part of an abduction of Andy by his father."

"I see," the doctor took a pen and wrote on a clipboard. "She is heavily sedated right now, and I just ordered that to continue for the next 24 hours. It is best if she isn't aware her son is missing for a while."

"What's wrong?" Peter asked.

"The good news is no internal bleeding or organ damage. However, her left arm was broken and her right leg will require surgery to repair it. She would be in considerable pain without the sedatives. I hope the boy can be found before we take her into surgery in a couple of days. That kind of worry can impact her recovery."

"Can we see her?"

"We want to keep her in the ER for observation for two to three more hours, then we will move her to a room where she can have visitors."

"Okay," Peter said, "Thanks."

Jordan, who had been standing a ways off, stepped up and took Peter by the arm and led him to a quiet part of the waiting room. Jordan knew Peter was doing all he could to keep it together.

Peter said, "I should call Amber's parents. She and they don't get along very well, but still they have a right to know what has happened."

Peter started to look for their number in his contacts, and Jordan gently took his phone. "You need to get control of your emotions before making that call. Plus, a little time might give you some good news to tell them."

Saving Jordan 16

Peter was fitfully sleeping in a chair in Amber's room when his phone began to vibrate. It had been eight hours since Andy was kidnapped, and Peter was on the edge of an emotional cliff. He looked to see who was calling, and at first David Orville didn't register, but then he realized who it was and quickly answered.

"Please tell me you have good news," Peter pleaded.

"I do. We have Andy. The Illinois State Police are transporting him back to Chicago. His father and uncle are in custody," Orville said.

"How?"

"A teenage girl saw Andy being pulled to a van. She took a picture of Andy and the van. She got the license tag, and a Kentucky State Trooper spotted the van near Louisville."

"When can we get Andy?" Peter said now more awake.

"Are you at the hospital?"

"Yes."

"I am Brianna Jones' office. She will have Andy brought to the hospital. He should be there in about three hours."

When Peter was through with the call. He went to find the doctor on call and explained that Andy would be there in about three hours. When the attending physician was contacted, he ordered Amber's sedation reduced so that she could at least say hello to Andy.

When Amber finally regained enough consciousness to be aware of her surroundings, there was an initial moment of panic. Then Peter squeezed her hand and said over there. Amber turned and saw Andy asleep in Jordan's lap. Amber took a deep breath and said, "Thank God."

Peter talked to Amber for a few minutes, and then Andy stirred. Soon a sleepy little boy was holding his mother's hand and asking, "Are you going to be okay mommy?"

Amber managed a smile and said, "Yes sweety, mommy is going to be okay."

Peter held Andy up to let him and his mother see each other better. Tears started to run down Amber's face.

"Don't cry mommy. I'm okay, I just want you to get better."

"These aren't sad tears," Amber said. "I am so happy to see you."

Peter held Andy over the bed railing so he could give his mother a kiss, and Amber said, "Oh, that is just the medicine that mommy needs. Now you go home with Jordy and Uncle Pete, and get some rest. I want to see a happy boy tomorrow. Okay."

"Yes mommy."

Peter waited until Jordan had taken Andy down the hall, then said, "I haven't called your parents yet."

"Don't call them until I name you as Andy's guardian...if that's okay?"

"Of course that's okay, but why?"

"My parents aren't well, and frankly I don't want Andy being raised with some of their ideas if something were to happen to me. I love my parents, but I don't always like them."

"I understand," Peter said, "I have a friend that can take care of the paperwork. Now you get to sleep. You have a little boy who needs you at home."

"Thank you Peter." and Amber closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

That night, Peter tossed Jordan a pair of pajamas. "What's this?" Jordan asked.

Then Andy opened the bedroom door a crack, and said, "Can bunny and me sleep in here? It's scary in the other room."

Jordan, smiled and headed to the bathroom to put on his pajamas.

"Sure you can," Peter said, and Andy ran and jumped into the middle of the bed. Peter swore he was asleep before his head even touched the pillow. When Jordan came out of the bathroom, his only comment was, "Oh."

Peter grabbed his pajamas and headed to the bathroom. As he passed Jordan, Peter gave him a kiss, squeezed his cock through the PJ, and said, "Welcome to the monastery."

Jordan said, "That was mean," and Peter laughed.

Saving Jordan 17

Visiting hours weren't until 10 a.m. and Andy was having a tough time waiting. "Why can't we go now?" Andy pleaded.

"The staff at the hospital has to make sure everyone has their breakfast and medicine before they get visitors," Jordan said. "Just like you need to finish your breakfast."

"Will mommy be awake?"

"I don't know. That depends on how tired she is this morning," Jordan said, not knowing how to explain sedatives to a little boy.

Andy quickly finished his pancakes and bacon and said, "Mickey and Porky are all gone." Clearly Andy wasn't bothered eating two of his favorite cartoon characters.

Peter called from the hall bathroom, "Andy, it's time to take your bath."

"Uncle Pete, I don't need no stinking bath."

Peter laughed, "Oh yes you do. Your mommy wants a clean boy to visit her."

Andy ran to the bathroom and asked, "When I finish my bath, can we go see mommy?"

"Yes," Peter said, peeling off Andy's PJs and putting him in the tub.

It didn't take long for Andy to finish his bath and get dressed, and be ready to head to the hospital. Before leaving the apartment, Peter collected some papers from his printer. His friend had faxed over guardianship papers naming Peter as Andy's guardian if something happened to Amber. He also got a call from Olliver saying that word was Garrett and his cousin would be charged with kidnapping and attempted murder.

At the hospital, Andy was a bit frightened by all the activity and strange noises. Jordan picked him up, and Andy clung to Jordan's neck. Peter couldn't help but smile. On the way to Amber's room, Peter found the hospital chapline, and asked him to stop by to witness the custody documents. After the paperwork was finished, Jordan lifted Andy and carefully laid him beside Amber. Mother and son were finally content and secure.

Jordan went off to order flowers delivered to Amber's room, and Peter faced the hard task of calling Amber's parents.

"Hello Aunt Jane, this is your nephew Peter."

"Peter, is something wrong?" Peter wasn't close to his aunt and uncle and the last time he called them was to inform them of his mother's passing.

"Amber was hit by a car and is in the hospital."

"Oh my God, how is she? Where is Andy? What hospital is she in?"

"Amber has some broken bones, but will heal. Andy is safe and with me. Go to the Tampa Airport, I have booked you and Uncle Willie a 3:05 flight on American Airlines. I will meet you at O'Hare and fill you in when you get here."

"Okay...You're not telling me something."

"Aunt Jane, Amber and Andy are safe and being well taken care of. I will tell you the rest when you get here."

"Goodbye Peter."

"Goodbye Aunt Jane."

Peter stood at the exit from the gates looking for his aunt and uncle. There was a pit in his stomach. Peter hadn't seen his aunt and uncle since his mother's funeral and that was cold and awkward. Jane was his mother's sister, but lacked all of her grace and acceptance. Uncle Willie was worse. Neither of them hid the fact that they thought homosexuality was "unnatural."

Peter found the two, collected their baggage, and they set off for the hospital.

"Okay Peter," Willie demaded, "What's going on?"

Peter took a deep breath, "I think you know that Amber has been living here since she and Garrett separated."

"Yeah, I don't get that," Willie mumbled. "Why would she come up here rather than coming home?"

"Willie, please," Jane said. Peter ignored his comment.

Peter continued, "What you may not know was that Garrett was abusing Amber. After a particularly violent attack, she called me. Between Christmas and New Years, I went to Atlanta and brought her and Andy to Chicago. They have been living in my apartment with me and my boyfriend. Yesterday morning Garrett attacked Amber and kidnapped Andy....

"Yesterday morning?! Why the hell are we just finding out now!" Willie yelled.

"I thought it best not to call you until I knew Amber's condition and the police had something on Andy's situation. After Andy was rescued and Amber regained consciousness, she asked me to wait to contact you."

"You thought it best....Wait, Amber told you not to contact us!" Willie yelled. "Why the hell would she do that?"

"You will need to ask her that question. Also, this morning Amber signed documents naming me as Andy's guardian if something should happen to her."

"What the fuck? My daughter would rather have Andy live with two homos than her own parents?" Willie was red faced and screaming. "You can just take us right back to the airport."

"Willie Baxter! You can shut your fucking mouth this minute," Jane yelled. "I am going to see my daughter and grandson." Willie and Peter were both in shock, neither had ever heard Jane curse, nor publicly defy Willie.

When Jane and Willie walked into Amber's room, she was asleep and Andy was curled up in Jordan's lap. Willie was about to say something and Jane shot him a look that instantly silenced him. Jordan gently shook Andy awake. When he saw Jane and Willie he ran to them squealing "Grandma, Grandpa."

Willie lifted Andy and Jane gave the smiling boy a kiss. Amber opened her eyes and still groggy said, "Mom, dad." Jane went over to the bed and took Amber's hand. Peter and Jordan quietly left the room to give Amber and her parents privacy.

In the elevator, Peter leaned back against the wall and sighed. Jordan gave him a gentle kiss and asked, "Rough reunion?"

"Yeah, but I don't want to talk about it now. Let's get some coffee, and you can tell me how much you love me."

"Of course, but I really want to show you?" Then Jordan kissed Peter and gave his crotch a squeeze just before the elevator doors opened.

"That's mean," Peter said, and Jordan just smiled.

Just after six, Peter and Jordan returned to the room and suggested it was time to get something to eat.

"Yes," said Amber, "You all need to go have a decent meal. You can come back in the morning."

Jane looked a bit pensive and finally said, "Peter has reserved a very nice room for us at the Hilton. Would it be acceptable if Andy stayed with us while we are here? We don't get to see him that often."

"Of course mom. Despite our differences, I know you and dad love Andy, and I want him to know his grandparents." Amber said.

When they were walking out, Peter asked Andy, "Where do you want to take grandpa and grandma for supper?"

"Pizza!"

"Is that okay with you guys," Peter asked Willie and Jane.

Willie smiled, "Well I have always wanted to try Chicago pizza."

Andy grabbed his hand and said, "You will like Dano's."

So it was off to Girodano's for pizza. During supper, Jane chatted with Andy and Willie began to soften his attitude and engaged Peter and Jordan in conversion. The pizza impressed Willie, and a few beers in, he was telling stories of his days as an engineer for the Norfolk Southern Railway. Like most boys, Andy liked trains, and hearing his grandfather talk about driving a train.

Finally it was time to take Willie, Jane, and Andy to the hotel. Peter said, "We need to make a quick stop at the Mila so Jordan can run up to the apartment and grab Andy's bunny." After bunny was safely in Andy's arms it was off to the Hilton.

When Peter and Jordan finally made it home, Peter said, "I--no, we--need a long steamy shower."

Once in the bedroom, Peter said, "Just stand here." He then went into the master bath and turned on the shower. When he returned he gave Jordan a hot, sexy kiss. As their tongues wrestled, Peter began to unbutton Jordan's shirt. Eventually the shirt slid to the floor, followed soon by Jordan's pants and underwear.

Peter stood back and admired Adonis incarnate. He ran his hands over Jordan's shoulders and chest admiring what perfection could come from amazing genes and hours in the gym. Peter leaned forward and touched Jordan's nipples with the tip of his tongue. Jordan's head fell back and his moan was a sexual and needy. As Peter sucked Jordan's nipples, he reached down and found a hard dick begging to be touched. Grabbing Jordan's cock, Peter led him into the shower.

Jordan slowly massaged Peter's shoulders and back. It felt good, but it wasn't what Peter wanted, needed. Peter pushed Jordan's chest first into the shower's tile wall and kicked his legs apart. Peter pushed his body against Jordan's and growled in his ear, "I need to fuck you like a wild animal."

Jordan spread his legs even farther, lined Peter's cock up with his ass and said, "Take me stud."

Peter shoved his cock into Jordan who moaned and clawed at the tile wall. "Oh fuck Peter, you are soooo big."

"Do you want me to stop?"

"Don't you dare. I need you to pound my ass into submission."

Over and over, Peter pummeled Jordan with his cock, each thrust drove Jordan closer to the edge, and each moan urged Peter to more savage lust. Finally, Justin couldn't take it any longer. His cock, trapped between wall and pelvis exploded and Jordan's body spasmed jolts of sexual electricity. As Jordan shot his final rope, envy muscle in his body seemed to clench and Peter grabbed him as if life itself depended on holding on to his lover. In that moment, Peter felt as if the sexual current pass from Jordan to himself. Peter's cock was an orgasmic transmission line carrying a 1000kV of pleasure from Jordan to himself.

Finally, Peter was able to turn Jordan so they faced each other. He cupped Jordan's face in his hands and said, "Never could I have imagined I would need another person as much as I need you. In every way you complete my life, thank you."

Tears were streaming down Jordan's face and the only way he could respond was to pull Peter into the most intimate, tender kiss two people could share. Peter and Jordan finished washing each other, and then dried one another. Without speaking, without needing to speak, they slid into bed, and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Saving Jordan 18

Jane and Willie stayed for a week, during which time Amber had the surgery to repair her leg. There would be several weeks or healing followed by physical therapy, but the surgeon felt she would have a barely noticeable limp. Amber's comment was, "That's okay, I never liked dancing anyway."

Amber would be out of the hospital in a couple of days, but Jane and Willie needed to get home. On the way to the airport, Peter made a detour, "I have something I want to show you."

Peter pulled up in front of a three story brick and limestone house in the Lake View neighborhood. "Before you left, I wanted you to see this. Jordan and I bought it the day before Amber was hurt. We haven't told her or Andy about it, but I wanted you to see it before you left."

The house had a small fenced front yard, and a multi-story deck in the back. Nearby were parks and the neighborhood elementary school was just a four block walk away. The house had five bedrooms and four bathrooms, most importantly it had a large family recreation room.

Peter showed Jane and Willie what would be Amber's room and what would be Andy's room. "We have a couple of weeks before we take final possession and then we will have to furnish it. Amber should be able to manage the stairs on crutches when we are able to finally move."

Jane threw her arms around Peter, "You are doing so much for Amber and Andy. I can't believe how fortunate she is to have you as family. It makes me sad that all these years we never really learned to know you."

"It's not too late," Peter said.

"What do you mean?" Willie asked.

"Well," said Peter, "I am sure you noticed that there are two extra bedrooms. You are welcome to visit anytime. Andy needs to know his grandparents and Amber needs her parents, even if she doesn't know it right now."

Now it was Willie's turn to hug Peter. "I hope you can forgive an old man for being a jackass. Watching you and Jordan this week and how you love each other,...well, I was just homophobic and wrong. I am so sorry. I think the four are a real family."

"Thank you Aunt Jane and Uncle Wille, that means a lot to me."

After Peter dropped Jane and Willie at the airport, he went back to the hospital. Amber was meeting with her surgeon."

"Amber, Dr. Tandoc said, "Your leg is mending very well. If you have assistance at home, I can release you now."

Peter jumped in, "Not a problem doc. We are ready for her to come home."

On the drive to the apartment, Peter explained some of the arrangements. "First, I have hired a nurse to come in for a couple of hours each day to assist you with whatever you need done."

Amber laughed, "So you are not up for helping me take a shower?"

"You got it cuz," Peter said. "Second, Jordan and I replaced the double bed with two twin beds. That way Andy won't accidentally bump your arm or leg."

"Is there room for bunny?" Andy asked.

"Yes," Jordan said, "We made sure there is plenty of room for bunny."

"That's good," Andy said and cuddled up next to Jordan.

Two months after Amber returned home, the four were having breakfast when Peter said, "Amber, you seem to be doing well with your crutches."

"Yeah, getting rid of that cast on my arm made a real difference. I can't wait to get rid of this thing on my leg, but I am dreading physical therapy."

"Do you think you are up for a field trip," Peter asked.

"Am I? I am so ready to do something besides watch TV and work crossword puzzles."

"Can you handle steps?"

"Easy-peasy. This isn't my first time on crutches. I tore my ACL playing soccer in high school."

"Then let's go. Jordan, you help Andy, and I'll help Amber."

They went to several shops just to explore. Also Andy was a growing boy, so they picked up some clothes he needed to replace what he had outgrown. Around noon, Peter asked who was hungry, and Andy and Jordan both said "me."

"I have heard of a place called the `Farm Bar' I'd like to try, "Peter said. "It is supposed to be really good food and it sources its food locally and sustainably."

The Farm Bar doesn't have a lot of parking so Peter said, "I'll let you three off at the restaurant and I'll drive up the street and find a parking space."

The three were seated and looking at the menu when Peter arrived. "That didn't take long," Amber said.

"No, I got lucky and found a place just up the street."

The adults ordered burgers, but Andy's eyes lit up when his mother told him there were grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup on the menu. After lunch, Peter said, "The car is just up the street. Amber, do you think you can walk that far."

"Of course," Amber said. Besides, I feel the need to get a bit of fresh air and exercise. Too many meals like that, I'm going to have to find a way to jog wearing a cast."

"When do you get your cast off?" Jordan asked.

"The doctor said, two to three months at the rate I'm healing. That seems like a long time, but supposedly I'm making remarkable progress. Whatever that means."

"So, are we ready to go home," Peter asked.

"Yeah," Amber said. "I think someone will need a nap soon."

"Mommy, I don't want to take a nap."

"Not even in your new bed?" asked Peter.

"What new bed?"

Jordan picked up Andy and pointed to a brick and limestone house. "Your new bed, in your new home, in our new home."

Peter grabbed Amber to make sure she wouldn't fall over. "Jordan and I can't wait any longer to tell you and Andy. This is our new home--the four of us." Peter was starting to get nervous. "I hope you like it...I mean Jordan and I just kind of barreled ahead.....we wanted it to be a surprise....but if this isn't...."

Amber put her fingers on Peter's lips, smiled, and said why don't you show us our new home.

Peter opened the gate to the front yard and said, "There isn't much yard, but there are parks nearby, and even a dog park, so if Andy wants a dog..." Peter didn't even finish before Andy was bouncing with joy in Jordan's arms.

They entered on the ground floor, and Jordan took over the tour showing Andy the recreation and media room. There were also two bedrooms on that floor, one would be the guest room, and the other would be an office.

The main floor had a large combination living room and dining room in the front. "I hope you don't mind the way the house is furnished. I had an interior designer pick the furniture. I told her I wanted family friendly furniture that fit with the style of the house. While most of the house is craftsman/cottage, this room is pretty formal. Let me show you the heart of the house."

The back of the main floor was an open kitchen family room with a fireplace and a large patio door that opened onto a deck.

They walked out onto the deck which had plenty of privacy for cooking, eating, and relaxing. From the deck, there were a set of steps that led up to a balcony off the master bedroom. When Peter opened the door to the master, Amber was amazed.

There was a large four poster bed and a couple of very masculine chairs in the bedroom. Amber noted the two walking closets, and said, "Every girls...or gay boys...dream."

Peter laughed and said "Neither Jordan or I are clothes hounds, but I will show you every gay boy's dream." Peter opened the master bath and Amber gasped. The show was masculine with granite and tile everywhere. There was a long vanity with double sinks and across from it was a large jetted tub, but the real show stopper was the shower. Straight ahead was a walking steam shower big enough to host a small orgy.

"This is amazing," Amber said, "Oh, and by the way, when this cast is off, I'm sneaking in here for some time in that tub."

"Be our guest." Then Peter added with a wicked smile, "Just don't go snooping in the drawers."

Down the hall was another bathroom and a laundry. "Oh, I have always wanted a laundry on the same floor as the bedrooms," Amber said.

At the opposite end of the hall from the master was Amber's room. "If you don't like the furniture, we can change it, Peter said.

"No, I like this very much. It's clean and very simple. I particularly like the natural wood finish. Oh, I am a clothes hound, and the walk in closet is great. But, I do have one question. Aside from the artwork in the living and dining room, there is nothing on the walls in this house. Why is that?"

"Well in all the years dad was in the service, we lived in base housing or we rented. Mom felt she could never hang pictures where she wanted. All of the family pictures were kept in boxes and albums. When she and dad finally bought a house, mom filled the walls with all the pictures, awards, and momentos she had stashed away. Everytime I went home I would wander the walls looking at those things and felt like I was home. I want that here. I told the designer to leave the walls alone and we would decorate them with our family."

Amber threw her arm around Peter's neck and said, "You are so sweet and thoughtful."

Finally Peter looked at Andy, and said, "Where is Jordy?" Andy shrugged his shoulders. Then Peter said, maybe you should holler and see if he answers.

Andy cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, "Jordy, where are you?"

From the hall Andy heard, "I'm over here."

Andy ran into the hall and didn't see Jordan.

Andy hollered again, and this time he heard "I'm over here" come from behind a door they had passed on the way to Amber's room.

Andy pointed to the door, and said, "He's in there Uncle Pete."

Andy opened the door and squealed with delight. Behind the door was the perfect little boy's room: blue walls, shelves with games and toys, and a desk and chair. Along one wall was a race car bed made up with bedding that featured characters from Disney's "Cars." Sitting in the middle of the bed was Bunny. Jordan had managed to sneak Andy's sleeping partner out of the apartment and install it in Andy's new room. Andy jumped on the bed and gave Bunny a big hug.

Then Andy looked at Amber and asked, "Mommy, is this our new home?"

"Yes sweety, this is our new home."
