Soulmates
-4-
The Monk
Usually when I came home for dinner, either at my place or Reggie's, he greeted me with a bone crushing bear hug. This one night he was kind of cool.
"What?" I asked.
"Don't you think this every other day shit is ridiculous? I think it's time for us to give up both our apartments, and rent or buy a bigger one suitable for the two of us. I thought that we were madly in love, but your hesitation makes me wonder."
"Don't ever doubt how much I love you. I'll make you a deal. Do one more past life regression. I want to verify something. No matter what I learn, I promise we'll get an apartment together."
"Fair enough. Are you up to doing it tonight?"
I nodded. "Yes," I said, "I'd like to try."
"Terrific. Tonight, after dinner."
So, there I was, imagining myself back in the time machine, propelling myself forward, maybe a couple of centuries or so. After the commotion of The Battle of Cajamarca, I was attracted to the peace and quiet of the place the time machine chose for me. I exited the vehicle, and was glad that I wasn't real. I found myself in a snow covered mountain range, but I didn't feel cold. I did feel a great sense of serenity. The extreme quiet was exceptionally enjoyable.
I spotted a strange looking building nearby. It confused me. It sort of looked like a church, but it wasn't. Of course, I had been here before in a former life, so enlightenment came swiftly. It was a monastery, populated by Buddhist monks. It was located in Lhasa City in Tibet. I knew instinctively that I had been a monk in that monastery, so I went there to find me.
I found myself there in a moment of a thought. I saw myself in the presence of the High Lama. He was speaking to me about the hardship of life in the monastery. He wasn't trying to dissuade me from joining the order, but to make sure that I knew what I was letting myself in for.
I told him that I accepted what lay ahead of me, and was determined to join the monks at the monastery. He put his arm around my shoulder, and showed me to my cell.
"I'll have Brother Gerald bring you your robes, and you can store your civilian clothing somewhere in your room."
"I'll never need them again," I said. "Why should I store them?"
"We require that you keep them for one year. If you haven't changed your mind about joining us by then, you can donate your clothes to a charity. If you care to return to the outside world, your clothing will be available to you."
"Fair enough," I murmured.
The High Lama left me, and seconds later, a tall, dark haired Monk entered the room, he was carrying a robe, sandals, and underwear. He unceremoniously threw everything on the twin-sized bed. He smiled at me, and when he did, I thought that he looked a lot like Reggie.
"My name is Gerald and I'm from Germany," he said. "Everyone calls me Reggie. I have no idea why."
I was struck dumb.
"Whatever made you leave your native country for this monastery?" I asked. I was curious and really wanted to know. I wanted to compare it with my own reason for leaving America.
"Ever since the Reformation, a couple of hundred years ago, Germany has been beset with religious strife. I studied comparative religion and decided that Buddhism offered me the kind of serenity I desired. Now tell me, what about you?"
"My country, America, is being polarized more and more every day over the question of slavery. The southern planters need slaves to produce profits in their agricultural society. The northern industrial states need paid employees to maintain their economy. I fear that a civil war is inevitable. I didn't want to be around to see my homeland ripped apart. So we both have our reasons, and they aren't particularly religion based. You came here for peace and quiet, and I came to avoid being in a terrible war."
"What's your name?" Reggie asked.
"Norman," my incarnation offered. Now I was sure I would faint.
"Norman," Reggie said, "the other brothers are really uptight and obey every rule. I have wanted to visit any one of them in their rooms after sleep time, but they have all refused. How about you? Would you kick me out if we visited in our rooms after hours?"
"I don't think I would do that. We both came for serenity, not for solitude."
"That makes me so happy," Reggie smiled at Norman. "I'll let you get settled, and then I'll visit you one night. I'll tap on the door lightly, and please let me in."
"Of course I will."
Suddenly, I was propelled into a week later.
I had gone to my room that evening with all the other monks, and I settled down to read a religious treatise written by our High Lama. I heard a tap on my door. I was very surprised, but then I realized that Reggie said that he would secretly come to visit me.
I ran to the door and opened it. Reggie grabbed the handle, and closed it very, very quietly. Although I think I should have expected it, what happened next shocked the robes off of me. Reggie grabbed me and started to kiss me. I reciprocated, and our kisses grew more and more passionate. I could feel Reggie's cock rubbing against mine through our robes. I quickly discarded mine, and Reggie did the same.
He led me to my small bed, and kept begging, "Please Norman, make love with me."
"Yes, yes," I answered, "but I have never made love before, not to a woman or a man. Instruct me in what to do."
I lay down on my back, and extended my arms to invite him into them. He accepted my invitation. He lay on top of me and resumed kissing me. I wrapped my legs around him, and pulled him in as tight as I could. Our cocks were caressing each other, and I felt my climax coming.
"I'm going to explode any minute," I warned Reggie.
He pulled his body down, and let his face fall on my groin area. Then I felt the most exquisite feeling I had ever experienced. My cock was in his mouth. He was bathing it with his tongue and his saliva. I was literally going crazy, as I came gushing into his mouth. I expected him to spit it out, but he didn't. He drank every drop.
"Is that what love is?" I asked.
"Yes," he answered, "I loved you from the minute we met."
"I love you too, but we can't get together like this every night. Surely we will be found out."
"I don't care. We should leave the monastery and live together for the rest of our lives."
His idea was mind boggling. I knew I wanted to do it, but I was frightened. Where would we go? What would we do?
I guess I'll never find out what happened. I felt Reggie shaking my shoulder again, and pulling me out of my trance.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"You did it again. You masturbated all over yourself. I wasn't prepared to catch it, and it went all over your stomach. I cleaned you up as best I could. What happened? Did you witness an erotic past memory?"
"I sure did," I grinned at Reggie, but I didn't elaborate. I wanted to save my story for when we were in bed together.
"Did you verify what you said you wanted to?" he asked.
"Yes, definitely."
"Care to share?"
"Yes darling, I care to share. In every incarnation you regressed me to, I have been gay, and so have you."
"What do you mean?"
"We were together, and we were lovers in every life I uncovered. There may have been more lives. Who knows?"
"I don't see the point."
"Don't you see it, love? We're soulmates. In every incarnation I found myself, we also found each other, and I daresay we will continue."
"Do you really think so?"
"I have no doubt."
"What can we do about it?"
"We can start by moving in together," I said, smiling at him.
Reggie gave out a slight sob. "Yes, oh yes," he said.
"In the scene I just witnessed," I told Reggie, "you gave me the sweetest blow job, but your present-self rudely awakened me before I got to satisfy you. Now let's go to bed, and I'll give you a little magic also."
I did all the work that night, and I was glad to do so. I got Reggie off twice that night, both times in my mouth.
To be continued ...
