The Feri Circle

Chapter 16

I stood leaning against the door watching as Rhett lubricated Farren's cock. They had taken refuge into the forecastle cabin where most of the crew sleeps. I didn't intend to spy on them but the Targ in me couldn't steer away from a free sex show.

'You're good at sucking cock,' Farren coyly said. I inwardly laughed because never in a million years would I have expected him to say something of the like.

'I've had a lot of practice,' Rhett said with a grin. He stroked Farren's cock a few time before letting it go. Standing up, he pulled down his pants and hooked the hem of the tunic he wore behind his neck. 'Are you ready for me big boy?'

Farren sniggered.

Rhett straddled him. He aligned the Neornite's cock to his butthole and slowly sank down on the huge cock. Since Farren's gland was ballpoint-like and smaller than its shaft, it didn't take long for Rhett's butthole to swallow it all.

'Wow. I've never seen anybody so comfortable sitting on a cock before,'

Farren said to which both men laughed.

'No offence but I'm not surprised you should say something like that. Your people don't know anything about pleasure,' Rhett replied.

'You might be right but...' Farren froze mid-sentence and sighed heavily when Rhett began to slide his ass up and down his prick.

'So tight,' Farren mumbled with a silly grin. I chuckled. I cupped my mouth when I realized I was being loud. Thankfully they couldn't hear me. It would have been embarrassing.

With his open palms rubbing his lover's pectoral muscles, Rhett groaned in ecstasy. He became even louder when Farren squeezed his butt cheeks to slow him down for longer passionate thrusting.

Rhett and Farren fucked like a well oiled machine. Although they were the exact opposite in their sexual prowess, they fitted well together. Rhett's expert movements made up for Farren's inexperience.

They both climaxed in a mixture of erotic and animalistic grunts. Farren bred Rhett's hole as Rhett showered him with cum.

Panting, Rhett bent down and tongued kissed Farren. Farren grunted and wrapped his arms around the shifter.

I smiled as I phased out the door. Despite the welcomed distraction, I was in the middle of something when I stumbled onto the pair. The traitor! I was in search of him. Spying on the crew didn't get me very far. They were either clueless or very careful not to spill the beans.

I phased into the lower hold where the cargo was stowed. Brock and his companions were there in a small cell at the back of the hold. I figured if the traitor was working with Brock he would find his way down here sooner or later. Either he will try to free his friends or seek orders. I figured the latter might be true because the well placed sigils glowing on the walls, roof and floor within the cell blocked any spell and abilities of a magical nature.

With his arm in a sling, and like a caged animal, Brock never stopped pacing. He was irritated. This was good because it meant he still had hope of success.

I sat on a wooden crate, drew my feet up and hugged them. My eyes never strayed from the cell. One warlock was sleeping on the hard wood floor; another was carving something on the wall, no doubt trying a spell that could free them. The other two were mimicking Brock's angst. They couldn't stop gazing at him expectantly.

'He's not coming...' the one called Rafe began before Brock angrily shushed him.

'You are an idiot. Amongst these sigils is a transference spell. Whatever we say here someone up there will hear,' he said pointing to the glowing symbols on the wall.

They went quiet again.

I don't know how long it was until someone finally turned up. And I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw who it was.

'Took you long enough,' Brock said behind bars.

'Well if you had waited like I asked you to, you wouldn't be in this mess to start with,' the man said. 'I warned you the Feres was stronger than he appeared.'

Captain Roman! I should have known. He's a slave master, which should have been my first clue. How could he? Amegra trusted him.

'While you failed, I succeeded. I removed the Feres from the equation with a sealing spell. The attack will take place tonight as planned and Xell will be ready to crush them.' He reached in the cell and tapped the side of Brock face with his right hand. 'Then my friend, we'll be drowning in riches; no more piracy, no more sucking asses and no more taking orders. We'll rule our own country.'

'That would be nice. But what about getting us out of here?' Brock tersely said.

'Do not fret old friend. One of the men will come and free you once the feri protectors board the lifeboat. So for now sit tight, remain calm and wait. It will all be over before you know it.' With that he turned on his heel and walked out.

The double crossing asshole! How I wished to remove his big head from his body.

I furiously paced in front of the cell trying to come up with an idea how to warn my friends. It wasn't easy because every thought I had concluded with me ending the life of the degenerate, back stabbing ass. It took me a while to realize that I needed help. And since the Nereii are the only ones who could see me, they will have to do.

I closed my eyes and materialized in the Nereii court.

Queen Kena was nursing a youngling when she saw me. Tucking away her breast, she handed the baby to her lady in waiting.

"Your Majesty. What can I do for you?" She inquired.

'The situation is worse than I feared. My friends are in mortal peril and I need your assistance to save them.'

She smiled. "If you want us to fight for you then you only need to ask, your Majesty." She said as if she already rehearsed that line even before I got here. She then turned to the guards. "Send word to Korres. Tell King Aldon the time has come for us Nereii to join the war. Tell him we will be launching an attack against the keeper of Sandridon at sundown and that if he wishes to be part of something great to come and claim his place alongside us."

The guard grinned and bowed before plunging into the water pathway that runs alongside the chamber walls.

Queen Kena stepped down from her throne. "Walk with me, Your Majesty." I fell into step beside her as she led us to the square where we found Kai feeding the dolphin pup he rescued.

'Who is this King Aldon?' I asked.

"We Nereii organised ourselves into colonies. There are currently three colonies, Athilmir, Duma and Korres. Aldon, my brother, is king of the Korres Nereii."

'What about Duma? Can't they help?'

"Duma is way up North. Although my sister Feia will gladly come to our aid, she won't make it because she's outside the Targeten boundary."

I had more questions but by then we had reached Kai. He waved at me. "Welcome back, Your Majesty," he said.

'Hello Kai.'

"Kai, my son, I have a mission of great importance for you," his mother said. "You will travel with His Majesty back to his vessel. He cannot be seen or heard so you'll be his voice."

'About that. Why can you see me while the others can't?'

Kai sniggered. But it was his mother who answered.

"You were visible to us before whoever it was locked you outside your body, hence Kai and I are the only ones aware of your presence."

Queen Kena and I worked up a plan to defeat Helledon and his goons. A lot depended on Kai being able to sneak on board the ship again and to convince my friends.

I followed Kai in mermen form as he sped towards the ship. His dolphin friends joined us. They ran circles around us as we broke the surface.

The deck bustled with activities. Whichever way, Kai will be spotted the minute he tries to climb on board.

"You worry too much?" Kai projected. "We Nereii have the power to control water. Watch this."

He closed his eyes and raised his face towards the sky. The air around us began to be saturated and soon an impenetrable mist covered the vastness of the sea around us.

Cool power!

"You haven't seen anything yet," Kai snickered. He created a wave that lurched him right on deck like a surfer riding a wave.

I missed the part where he separated himself from his mergent.

He waited for me to join him after he landed on deck. I led the way to the main cabin. For someone who spends all his time under water, Kai was very light on his feet.

Someone was coming. Kai ducked behind a crate. We waited for a second before pressing on.

I could hear the crew's panic caused by the sudden change in weather. Some were calling it a bad omen to the impending attack of the sacred land. Others were blaming the women. Apparently it was bad luck to bring women on board this ship.

We entered the empty wardroom and went in the master's cabin were Wren was guarding my body.

He jumped up when he saw Kai.

'You've got two seconds to identify yourself before I go wolf on your ass?' He threatened.

Kai grinned and stood his grounds.

'That's Wren. He's my bond-mate. He's very protective of me so I wouldn't take his word lightly if were you.'

'You can stand down Wren. I am not here to fight you or harm His Majesty King Rye.' Upon hearing a complete stranger address him by name, Wren paused.

'Tell him about me,' I urgently said but then, 'wait! Did you just speak out loud?'

Kai turned towards me and smiled. 'Of course I can speak. I am not a log.'

'Who are you talking to?' Wren asked, a bit taken aback.

Kai turned to face him.

'Tell him,' I urged.

'Your Majesty, I know you are impatient but will you let me handle this.'

I exhaled deeply and shrugged. I should let him speak. He was here to speak in my stead after all.

'What's going on? Is this some kind of joke?' Wren asked. By the look on his face he was not amused.

'I beg for forgiveness Wren, but His Majesty is a little bit anxious to talk to you.'

'Rye! He's here. You can see him?'

'Yes, he is here and I can see and hear him as well.'

Suddenly a worried look crossed Wren's face. 'What's wrong with him? Why can't I see him?'

'He is trapped in astral form. Someone here placed a sealing spell on his body, preventing his astral self from reconnecting with his body.'

'It can't be. I've been with Rye from the moment he lost himself to the vision.'

'Lost is the right word. He was talking to my mother and me when the seal took hold. So yes someone did get close enough to place a seal on him.'

Wren went pensive for a while.

"Should I tell him who it was?" Kai projected to me.

'No. Let him figured it out on his own. Wren is a practical man. He won't believe you otherwise.'

'Think. Go back to the moment he projected out of his body. Who came into contact with his body from then on?'

'When Rye had the vision Caleb was there. He was acting weird but that's normal when you're concerned over someone you love.'

Wren thought Caleb loved me. Huh! How did I miss that one?

'Go on,' Kai urged.

I looked at Kai. I know he was in Wren's thoughts. He thought he was helping but he better be discreet or Wren will kill him if he finds him rummaging inside his head.

'Charlie and Amegra touched him then... son of a bitch!' Wren cursed hitting his forehead.

'What?' Kai said.

'The Captain. He wanted to check Rye's vitals saying he was some kind of healer. Oh I'm going to bash his head in,' Wren said. He gazed towards the door and stopped himself from storming out. He glimpsed at my limp body and eyed Kai suspiciously. He didn't trust Kai. Reigning in his rage, he sighed loudly.

'So tell me what's going on?' Wren asked.

Kai went silent for a second. On looking at him I knew why. I never noticed before but he was standing naked in front of Wren. That was not all. He was ogling my bond-mate like a kid in a candy store. His obvious boner was hard to miss.

'Seriously, you've got to stop staring at my boyfriend.' I said with a little humor in my tone.

"I'm seventeen. It's a normal reaction for me to have standing here in front of the hottest guy I ever met," he replied. I was impressed with the level of maturity of his answer, if not of his honesty.

'Well, as long as you look and don't touch you'll stay in one piece. Remember that,' I warned him. I didn't mean to be so harsh. Not that I was jealous or mad but I wanted him to stay focused on the task at hand. We can't afford distractions right now.

Wren must have felt the same way for he pulled a blanket from the bed and threw it at Kai.

After tying the blanket around his waist, he told Wren the new plan. My bond- mate was impressed. He quickly sent a whisper to Charlie.

My Uncle arrived three minutes later with Amegra at his heel. No one else came as not to raise the suspicious from the crew. Wren and Kai repeated the plan to Charlie who listened attentively.

'It's a good plan. It may actually work, although, I foresee a problem.'

'What is it?' Amegra asked.

'How do we subdue the crew? How do we get past them? They outnumber us ten to one.'

'I already thought about that,' Kai said. 'We could put them all to sleep.'

'How?' Wren and his mom said at the same time.

'We Nereii take care of all creatures of the sea regardless of how treacherous they are. With dangerous creatures like sharks, we normally use a kind of seaweed that puts them out for an hour at the most. It works on people too because a friend of mine accidentally ingested some once and he fell asleep like a newborn within minutes.'

'That's great. Can you get some?' Charlie asked.

'Sure. I saw some on the way here.'

'Excellent. Go get some while Amegra and I brief the others about the new plan.'
