Chapter 39

"Hey Doc, what's the verdict? Do I get sprung today?"

"What's the matter Dan? Don't you like our resort? ...Meals in bed, maid service, all kinds of amenities."

"I'm not sure that stuff qualifies as meals. Besides, I miss my roommate."

"Let me check you out. Based on the poll you should be out of here."

"Poll?"

"Yeah, I asked seven staff members, four said they want to get rid of you and two said for you to stick around."

"Haha, glad I made such a good impression. By the way, that's only six. Hope you're a better doctor than mathematician."

"Well, Joe said you should be out of here but he wanted to take you home with him."

"Tell Joe he'll have to deal with Josh about that and he can do some damage. ...What's your vote?"

"You look good. You didn't have any problems over the weekend. How do you feel?"

"Much better. I don't even ache this morning."

"You're doing much better than I would expect. If I didn't know you almost died less than a week ago I wouldn't believe it. Someone is definitely watching over you. An inch to the left and you wouldn't be here."

"I guess I have my own guardian angel," I smiled thinking about Aaron. "Back to my original question. Can I go home?"

"Yes Dan. I'll sign all the paperwork when I leave here. I'll have some instructions for you and will want to see you in a week. Basically, no strenuous activities... no karate, no running, no weights, no gym. You can walk but someone should be with you."

"No problem. When can I leave?"

"As soon as your mother or father get here."

"My father had to go into his office for a meeting. He said he'd be here right after it got out. Josh will be here soon. He can take me home."

"Sorry Dan. We can only release you to a parent. You'll have to wait for your father to get here."

"Alright, but I'll be ready to go. Josh is bringing me some real clothes."

"Look at the bright side. You get to enjoy another breakfast in bed."

"Maybe I'll wait and get some real food on the way home."

"Take care of yourself Dan. Enjoy the holiday but take it easy and make sure you call my office to set up an appointment for next week."

"I will doctor. Thank you for everything."

"You're welcome Dan. I'm glad everything worked out."

< Knock Knock >

"Nick, do you have a minute? I'd appreciate it if we could talk."

"There's nothing to talk about Kevin. I'm sorry for the things I said last week but I thought I made myself clear. We need to work together but that's it. I don't want to talk about my son, your son or anything else. Just keep Dan away from Nicky and we won't have any problems."

"Okay, I'll respect that. I promised Dan I'd try. He's really upset about Nicky."

"He should worry about himself. I'll deal with Nicky."

"Nick, I understand you're angry. I've been there. I know what you're going through. How long have we known each other? Two years before I came here? I know you and the type of person you are. I know you love your son and want the best for him. You want him to grow up to have a good life and be happy. That's obvious."

"It's because I love him that I want him staying away from people like your son. He's young and impressionable. He doesn't need that type of influence. He doesn't need to hear people telling him it's okay to be gay. It's not okay and he needs to know that. I'm not a zealot but I believe being gay is a choice and I'm going to make sure he makes the right choice. People may tolerate them but gay people will never be considered normal. I believe everyone should have equal rights but that doesn't mean I want my son to be one of them. You may not care what people think of your son. That's your business but I don't want Nicky dealing with all the prejudices people have. Look what happened to Dan. Perhaps if you had done things differently he wouldn't be lying in a hospital bed right now. I love my son. I don't want that happening to him and I'm not going to let him go through life dealing with that stuff. Now please leave."

"Alright, I'll leave but before I do I've got something to say and you're going to listen. I'll cut you some slack for implying I don't love my son because I know what you're going through but you need to think about what you're doing before you do something that makes Nicky hate you. He may only be fourteen and he may be impressionable but I can assure you he doesn't consider himself a child. If you try to control his life then you'd better be prepared for the consequences. Like I said, I've been there. Until you've spent three days waiting for him to come out of a coma because he tried to kill himself, not knowing whether he'll wake up, then don't tell me the right way or the wrong way to raise my son. I'm your friend despite you acting like an ass right now. I just don't want to see you make the same mistakes I did."

"What are you talking about? Dan didn't commit suicide. He was attacked."

"I'm not talking about what happened last week. I'm talking about what happened two years ago. He was fourteen. He lost a friend he felt about just like how your son feels about his friend. Dan's friend might have died but I can assure you Nicky feels the same way about Danny as Dan did about Aaron. I saw it in his eyes. Your son is hurting."

"What? When did you see Nicky?"

"It doesn't matter. I did. I might not have been as hateful as you are but I felt the same way about what Dan would be facing in the years to come or at least what I thought he'd be facing. I didn't want that. No parent does. He and I had some tough times. I wanted to believe it was just a phase, that he'd outgrow it. All that did was drive a wedge further between us. Even though I had almost lost him I couldn't bring myself to accept things. That only happened recently when I saw how happy he is with Josh. That's when I finally realized he doesn't have a choice. You may be able to control Nicky's life now but at what cost?"

"In four years he'll be an adult. Assuming he doesn't just run away or worse than those four years are going to be very difficult unless you change your attitude. And what happens when he turns eighteen? He can do what he wants. He could even choose to be out of your life for good. Are you prepared for that?"

"What do you suggest I do? I don't want to fight with him. I love him and want him to be happy. I just don't understand how someone can look at another boy or man the same as I look at women."

"Then tell him that. Tell him how you feel but make sure he knows you love him. Talk to him but don't treat him as a kid. If he is gay then there is nothing you can do about it. If you try to control him and force him to be something he isn't then you'll either lose or he'll end up being miserable. Dan convinced me that he really does feel that way. I know I don't. That's what made it so difficult to understand. Believe me, from how he described it, he does. He could fight it but again, at what cost?"

"Dan really tried to kill himself? Is that why you came here?"

"Yes he did and no that's not specifically why we moved here but it was part of it. I can't help thinking that if I wasn't so much like you are right now then maybe things would have been different."

"Kevin ...I'm sorry. I didn't know. I just don't know what to do. This is something I never thought I'd have to face."

"I know. The first thing to do is as soon as you can you need to give him a hug and tell him you love him. Right now he's hurting. He's worried about his friend. He doesn't know whether he'll ever see him again. In addition he isn't even sure if you love him. Have you told him you love him since this happened?"

"All I've done is either yell or ignore him, I've been such an ass."

"It'll be okay Nick. You can fix it. He told Dan what's been going on. He loves you. He wants you to be proud of him. He was really upset when he was at the hospital on Saturday."

"He went to see Dan? I told him not to."

"He's fourteen Nick. He and Dan are friends. Of course he went to the hospital. You may think he'll do what you want but he won't always listen. He also knew he could talk to Dan and he'd listen. He knows Dan won't think he's an embarrassment."

"I can't believe I said that. I need to get home. ...Jackie? Are the Turners here yet?"

"No sir. ...Oh wait, I see them coming down the hall."

"Okay, please show them to the conference room."

"Yes sir."

"Kevin, I need to get home and talk with Nicky. Will you talk with the Turners?"

"I really need to get to the hospital to pick up Dan. I shouldn't even have come in today but I told Dan I'd try talking with you again. Why don't you tell the Turners you have a family emergency and need to leave. They can re-schedule. Your son is more important."

"I can't believe I have to deal with this. He's just a kid."

"Yes, he's a kid but he's growing up. Give him a hug and tell him you'll always love him. It's okay to tell him you don't understand but tell him you'll figure it out together. Tell him you don't want him to be gay, not because it wrong or perverted but because you worry about him because of how people are but, and this is a big but, tell him you just want him to be happy. Remember how he feels about Danny. You'll know what to do."

"I don't know if I can tell him it's okay to be gay. How long did it take you?"

"I still hope Dan will meet a nice girl, get married, have kids and live the life I've always wanted him to have. I still thought it might happen when we moved here especially when he met a girl the first day of school. Then he brought Josh home and I knew. Maybe it won't be like that for you. Nicky is young, things change but don't count on it."

"I feel like such an idiot. I may not totally agree with you but I was rude. I'm sorry..."

"It's okay Nick. Go talk to your son."

"Dan? When can you leave?"

"The doctor has signed all the papers. I'm just waiting for Dad. He needs to sign something. I can't just walk out."

"I'll take you home."

"They won't let me leave with you. It needs to be a parent. Why don't you lay beside me? I'm sure we can think of something to do," I smiled.

"I've got plans for you but you have to wait until we get home. Why don't you get dressed and we can go for a walk. I brought you some clean underwear, gym pants and a fleece."

"You're no fun. Why don't you help if you can figure out how to help me put my clothes on. You haven't much practice doing that."

"Jason was right, you are an asshole at times," he smiled.

"Yeah, but I'm your asshole and I love you."

"I love you too. Now get dressed."

"So tell me about these plans you have. The doctor said I can't do anything too strenuous."

"Don't worry. You can handle it. I'll do all the work," smiled Josh giving me a kiss.

"I love you Josh. Don't ever question that."

"I love you too Dan. You scared the shit out of me. I don't know what I would have done if you had been really hurt or worse."

"Life goes on Josh. That's one thing I've learned the last year. Things have a way of working themselves out but lets not worry about that. I'm here, you're here and we have each other. Are you sure we have to wait until we get home? We might not have much privacy there either."

"We'll have privacy. Our bed, tonight, and it won't be to strenuous for you. I promise. All you have to do is show up."

"Jeez Josh, why did you have to bring me briefs and then say something like that?

"Because I like seeing you in briefs now put on the rest of your clothes and let's go for a walk."

"Nicky!!!" "Nicky? Are you in there? ...Barbara, do you know where Nicky is?"

"Stop yelling Nick. What are you doing home? He's been in his bedroom all day."

"I looked. He wasn't there."

"Did you look inside or just yell through the door. He probably knows you're just going to lecture him."

"I'm sorry. I'm not going to yell ...or lecture. I just want to talk to him. Did you know he went to the hospital to see Kevin Johnson's son on Saturday?"

"Not for sure. I know he was late getting home and I assumed he either took his time or did something like that. I wasn't going to say anything. He's fourteen Nick. He's growing up."

"That's what Kevin said. Where is he? If he left without telling you then I'll kill him and then talk to him. ...Nicky? Are you downstairs?"

"Nick, you need to calm down. He can't be far. He knows he's not supposed to go anywhere without telling us. He probably heard you yelling and doesn't want to argue. I know you're upset. I don't blame you. I am too but he is our son. Yelling won't solve anything."

"I'm not going to yell. I just want to talk."

"I'm sure that's what he thought when he heard you. You know he told me he doesn't think you love him any more. I told him that was nonsense, that you love him very much and you're just upset. You do love him don't you?"

"Of course I do. How could you even think otherwise? That's why I'm home. I had a long talk with Kevin. I still don't agree with everything he said and I still don't accept that Nicky is gay but I'm seeing things a little clearer now."

"He talked with you? After what you said to him on the phone?"

"I said worse when he came into my office. I apologized but then turned around and went off on him again. I'm surprised he didn't punch me out."

"What did you say?"

"It isn't important. He just took it and said a couple things that made me realize I've just been thinking more of myself rather than Nicky."

"What do you mean?"

"It isn't just that I don't want Nicky to be gay. I mean I don't because I worry about what his life will be like..."

"Times have changed Nick. It's not the same anymore."

"It's more than that. When he was talking he made me realize I'm thinking about this as something I've done wrong. That I've failed in raising my son ...our son."

"You haven't failed. Nicky is a good boy. He doesn't do drugs, people like him, he does well in school. You should be proud of him. I know I am."

"I am proud of him. I just forgot all that. All I could think about was some of the things he had been doing. The only thing I know about gay people is what I see on TV. I've never known someone who is gay."

"I doubt that's true. You just didn't know."

"I guess. I've just always pictured them a flamboyant, like you see in the gay pride parades. Kevin's son isn't like that."

"Them?"

"I'm sorry. You know what I mean. It's just I think what I'm sure he and that boy have been doing is wrong. It's okay if other people want to do it. That's their business but I don't want my fourteen year old having sex with another boy. ...I don't want him having sex with anyone for that matter. He's too young. Nevertheless he is my son..."

"Our son."

"Our son, and it's our responsibility to love him and help him. I'm just hoping he really isn't gay and he was just experimenting. I've read lots of boys do that."

"I've heard that. Did you ever...?"

"No, of course not. I never did anything like that. Well, a friend and I did masturbate once or twice looking at my father's Playboys but that was it. We never touched each other. The thought of touching another man like that makes me cringe."

"I'm glad to hear that," smiled Barbara. "Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure Nicky and Danny have done more than jerk off looking at pictures."

"Jerk off???"

"Yes, jerk off Nick. I'm not a prude. I know how boys talk."

"I'm sure you do. I just never thought I'd hear you say those words. What other words do you know?" smiled Nick.

"I know about blowjobs too and if you ever want another one..."

"Haha, thank you Barbara. It feels good to laugh. It's good that Nicky isn't here to hear his mother's gutter mouth though ...and I'll take a rain check. Right now I need to find him and when I do I'll have a long talk with him ...right after I kill him for leaving without telling you."

"Why don't you call his cell?"

"Maybe I should use your phone. He'll probably see my number and won't pick up."

"Than leave a message ...and don't yell. Tell him you love him. He really isn't so sure about that lately."

"I've always loved him."

"I know. ...Deep down he knows it too but he needs to hear you say it. I love you Nicholas Wade. We'll get through this. Nicky being gay isn't the end of the world. It shouldn't be about us anyway... now go call him and tonight I'll show you some of the other things I know."

"Have you been holding back on me?"

"We'll see."

"Dan? Are you doing okay? You're not getting tired are you?"

"I'm fine Josh. It feels good to be out of bed. I wish my father would get here though. I want to leave."

"Me too. I want to get you home."

"And why is that Mr. Sul... ah, Michaels. ...Jeez, I don't even know what to call you."

"I'm sticking with Josh. Changing to Chris would be too confusing. I'm going to drop Sullivan though. The less I have to do with the last eight years the better."

"Speaking of Chris ...have you talked with him? He never showed up this weekend. Ryan said they'd be by to visit but they never did."

"I haven't talked with either of them since school last week. I'm sure it's nothing. ...Oh oh, there's Phil Clayton's father. We better go this way before he sees us."

"Too late. Here he comes," I said instinctively stepping in front of Josh.

Josh smiled but pulled him towards the nurses station. "It's okay Dan. I don't want you hurt again."

"You," said Phil Clayton Sr. "Are you the punk who nearly killed my son? You should be in jail."

"It was self defense. Your son attacked me and was going to do who knows what to Josh. He was only protecting himself."

"I know about you two. You deserved it. I'm just sorry you're the one walking around," said Mr. Clayton coming closer. "My son is lying in a hospital bed with two broken legs. I should finish what he started."

"No," said Josh stepping in front of me. "Don't touch him."

"Or what kid? You got lucky with my son but that won't happen again."

"Sir, you'll have to calm down or I'll have to call security," said a nurse at the nurses station. "This boy is a patient here."

"So is my son and this boy put him here. He's going to pay for that."

"Sir, I suggest you calm down and go see your son. Threatening these boys won't help him. Security is on their way."

"Hmmph... This isn't over kid. You can count on that," said Mr. Clayton storming away. "You'll be sorry for what you did."

"Are you two okay?"

"Yes, ma'am, thank you."

"He's as arrogant as his son. I'll report this to security. It should be on record he threatened you. You need to be careful."

"Thank you but we'll be okay. My father will be here soon to pick me up."

"Make sure you tell him about this. He should talk with that police lieutenant handling the investigation. I can certainly see where the son comes by his charming personality."

I laughed. "I take it you've met Phil."

"Oh yes," smiled the nurse. "Everyone around here knows him. We're not supposed to let our personal feelings affect patient care but that kid needs an attitude adjustment."

"Hopefully it's over with but somehow I don't think they'll let this go."

"I think you're probably right. You boys be careful. I don't want to see you in here again."

"Thank you ma'am. We will."

"And stop calling me ma'am."

<Ring, Ring, Ring>

"Nicky, if you aren't picking up because you saw it was me I'm sorry. I came home because we need to talk. Please call me. ...I love you son, very much."

"He didn't answer."

"Give him a couple minutes to see if he calls back."

"Do you know where he could have gone? He wouldn't go to Danny's. His father is angrier than I was. Would he go back to the hospital to see the Johnson boy? Kevin said he's going home today so I doubt it. Maybe I should call Kevin."

"Relax Nick. I'll call a few of his friends. Maybe someone will know where he is."

"I'm going to leave him a text too."

"Dan... Are you ready to leave? I just signed the paperwork. Someone will be down with a wheelchair to take you downstairs."

"A wheelchair?? I can walk."

"Hospital rules. ...The nurse said Phil Clayton's father confronted you?"

"Yeah, we were just walking around the hall and he came off the elevator. I don't know why he was on this floor."

"She said he threatened Josh. Are you two okay?"

"We're fine Dad," said Josh smiling giving me a smile.

I smiled. "So Josh? Are you going to write a book about your two dads?" I asked smirking at my father.

"Dan, it's not funny. That man could be dangerous."

"We were going to tell you."

"I'll talk with Lieutenant Henderson. He should know what's going on. I'm thinking we need a restraining order against him."

"Lieutenant Henderson?? Why do we need a restraining order against Lieutenant Henderson? Is that really necessary?"

"Dan, stop making jokes. This is serious. Look what his son did. You didn't take that seriously either."

"Yes Dad, I did. I just didn't want you to worry. I know this is serious but we can't let it change things. I know you meant to get a restraining order against Mr. Clayton. It's just how you said it. My teachers always take points off when we do something like that. And don't worry, we'll be careful."

"Who is the kid sitting over there?"

"I don't know. Just some kid. He's been sitting there ever since we got here."

"He's cute."

"He's kind of young for you Nathan."

"I just want to talk with him. I want to know why he's just sitting there doing nothing. ...Hey kid, what's up? Me and my friends have been watching you and you've just been sitting here. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," said Nicky.

"You don't look fine. What's wrong."

"What do you care? There's nothing you can do. There's nothing anyone can do. My life just turned to shit and I had to get out of my house and be alone."

"Doesn't sound fine to me. Why don't we talk about it. Maybe there is something I can do."

"I just want to be alone."

"I don't think that's a good idea. Why don't you come over and join us? My friends and I are just boarding but we're going down by the pond. Nobody is there and we have some weed. We're going to have some fun. Why don't you join us?"

"I don't do that. Besides, I'm in enough shit at home. That's all I need."

"Your choice. We won't force to smoke. I'm Nathan and that's Tyler and Jimmy. We're just hanging out. You're welcome to join us and just hang out. You don't have to smoke. You look like you could use some company."

"I don't know," said Nicky looking past Nathan towards his friends. Even though they really weren't paying attention they occasionally glanced over and laughed.

"Come on," said Nathan reaching out and grabbing Nicky's hand. "You don't want to sit here and brood. Come on and have some fun. I bet if you tried to smile you'd feel better. What's your name?"

"Nick but everyone calls me Nicky since my father's name is Nick too."

"I like Nick. It makss you sound older. It's nice to meet you. Come over here and meet my friends. ...Guys, this is Nick. I invited him to come down by the pond with us. Nick... this is Tyler and this is Jimmy."

"Hey kid, how old are you?"

"Fourteen. Why?"

"Just curious. I''ve never seen you around school before not that I spend all that much time there," laughed Tyler. "I'm what the teachers call an underachiever. Actually I just don't give a shit."

"You guys in high school?"

"Loosely speaking," said Nathan. "Jimmy and I are both seventeen and Tyler is sixteen. Don't listen to him. We're not total screw ups. We just don't conform to the expectations of school," he said laughing. "We like to have a good time and school just doesn't do it. Come on, we'll show you."

"Hey," said Justin walking in with a wheelchair. "You leaving us?"

"Yup. I've been sprung and your cousin said he can't wait to get me home," I smiled watching Josh turn bright red. "He said he has a surprise for me at home."

"You better not rip out any of those stitches," smiled Justin.

"I won't. Josh said something about putting me right to bed."

"Keep it up and you'll be alone," said Josh.

"Boys... I'm in the room," said Dad. "I really don't want to hear about what Josh has planned for a homecoming."

I bit my tongue. "What? I just meant he was getting tired of coming into the hospital to visit."

"Get in the chair and I'll give you a ride downstairs. Josh? Do you want to do the honors?"

I leaned in and whispered in his ear. "I want to hear all about my home-cumming," I said.

"Can I wheel him out into traffic?" asked Josh.

"Once he's out the door he's all yours. Do what you want."

"Nothing too strenuous," I laughed. "Doctor's orders."

"Dan..."

"Sorry Dad," I smirked.

"Josh, you better keep in touch. Mom is coming home this weekend and she's looking forward to seeing you at school. She said to make sure you stop by. You have a lot to talk about.

"I will. Maybe she can come over this weekend and meet the Michaels. They can see that there were good people in my life. They're going to meet the asshole soon. Mr. J. says he has another hearing coming up."

"Josh!!!"

"What? ...What else should I call him? I'm not calling him my father, he isn't. Calling him Mr. Sullivan gives him too much respect. If he was my real father and treated me like he did then I'd just call him a sperm donor but since he's not, asshole is all I can think of. Plus it fits."

"Calm down," I said putting my arm around him. "Let's go home."

"What's that building?"

"It's an old maintenance shed. It's not used anymore. It's kind of our clubhouse," smiled Nathan as he put his hand on Nicky's back. "It's okay, don't be scared, nobody will hurt you. I'll make sure of it," he whispered rubbing Nicky's back.

"Alright guys, who brought the weed. Time to party. Light it up Tyler and it better be good stuff," said Jimmy.

"You know it's good. It's the same stuff as yesterday."

"Oh man, that was good stuff. We got so fucked up. I was still wasted when I went home for dinner. My parents didn't even know. They just thought I was hungry."

"I know you were fucked Jimmy. I'm not sure about fucked up. My cock is still sore."

"Yeah, but I'm sure it'll be up for a repeat performance as soon as you smoke some of this."

"You guys are gay?" asked Nick.

"Jimmy and I are bi," said Tyler.

"Yeah, right," snorted Nathan. "You guys can't even get it up around a girl."

"Fuck you Nathan. At least we know what a girl is."

"Maybe," said Nathan taking the joint, "but you don't know what they're for. You probably would rather fuck the dog."

"Who says I don't," laughed Tyler letting some smoke out."

"That's gross," said Jimmy. "Is that before or after you put it in me?"

"They're just shitting you Nick. They're really boyfriends although they let me play too. This is good stuff. You sure you don't want some?"

"No, that's okay. I better not. I've never done it before."

"There's a first time for everything. You never jerked off before your first time either, right? Now you're probably like the rest of us and do it three or four times a day."

"Maybe you do. I've got Jimmy," laughed Tyler. "I only jerk off when I'm alone at night."

"I know. I hear you," laughed Nathan.

"What?" asked Nicky confused.

"Tyler is my little brother."

"Who said I'm little? Jimmy did you tell him I'm little? Hand me that joint. There's nothing like sex when you're wasted."

"He knows about that Nick," said Nathan inhaling deeply before passing the joint to Tyler. "He and Jimmy will be at it before this joint is gone," he laughed exhaling the smoke from his lungs.

"Fuck you asshole You're just jealous because I let Jimmy here have as much as he wants. Just because you've got the hots for some guy you've never even talked to," said Tyler turning to give Jimmy a kiss. Maybe if you weren't such a slut."

"Fuck off Tyler. You know..."

"Yeah, I'm sorry bro, I shouldn't have said that. It's just that you shouldn't get all worked up over some straight guy."

"I don't have the hots for him. I just said he's kind of hot."

"Close enough," laughed Jimmy with his arm around Tyler. "Saying someone is hot means you want to have sex with him."

"That's not true."

"Yeah, right. If he was here right now and offered then you would be all over him. Come on Tyler. Let's have some fun. Nathan and Nick can watch."

"You sure you don't want some of this Nick?"

"Are they really going to have sex right in front of us? With us watching?"

"Yeah, they don't care. I might even join them. Tyler and I don't do anything. That would be gross but Jimmy, he likes to top and Tyler won't let him so they let me join in. You ever done anything with a guy Nick? It's fun."

"Don't you have a boyfriend? Who is the guy they were talking about?"

"Nah, no boyfriend. I kind of play around. I haven't found anyone I love yet and I like sex. Things would be different if I found someone ...and he's just some guy at school. He's straight though."

"How do you know?"

"I just do. Besides, he wouldn't want anything to do with me anyway" said Nathan as he inhaled again. "You should really try this shit. It's good stuff. I'm feeling really good."

"I don't know how."

"It's easy. Just put it to your lips and inhale. Not a lot or you'll cough. Just go slow and hold it in your lungs. Then let it out slowly. Give it a try," he said handing Nicky the joint.

"I... I don't know. My father will kill me. He's already pissed at me."

"It's up to you but your father isn't here and we won't tell him. You look like you could really use it. Is that why you were just sitting there? You fight with your father?"

"That's part of it."

"Here, try this. At least then you can say you've done it."

"Maybe just once," said Nicky bringing the joint to his lips inhaling. "You won't tell anyone?"

"No," laughed Nathan. "Your secrets are safe with us."

"Shit, that stuff is gross," said Nicky coughing.

"You tried taking too much," said Nathan rubbing his back and giving him a little hug. "Try it again. This time only take a little and hold it in. ...That's better, now let it out slowly."

"I don't feel anything."

"You won't," smiled Nathan. "You need more than one hit. Believe me, a couple more hits of this stuff will make you feel really good. Here's another joint, just for you. Why don't you catch up to us," he said lighting it and passing it to Nicky.

"I'll be grounded for life if my father finds out," said Nicky taking the joint.

"You don't get along with your father?"

"We did until recently then some stuff happened and now he's pissed at me. He's being a jerk. I didn't do anything wrong," said Nicky taking another hit and watching Tyler and Jimmy on the other side of the shed.

"That's too bad. How are you feeling? You feel anything yet?"

"A little. My head feels funny."

"That's the intent," laughed Nathan. "It feels good doesn't it? It mellows me out and lets me put thins perspective. Things all make sense when I'm stoned. The problem is I can't remember what it was that made sense afterward," laughed Nathan.

"Maybe you should write it down," said Nicky passing the joint back.

"Keep it and finish it up. Then we can share another one."

"Oh wow," said Nicky. "I've never felt like this before. I can't believe they're doing that in front of us. They're acting like we aren't even here."

"They're like that all the time when they get stoned. Does it bother you? You can watch. They won't care. They like an audience. It's kind of hot, isn't it?"

"It's different," giggled Nicky. "It's definitely taking my mind of things. I never thought I'd be watching someone have sex today. Tyler's balls really hang down don't they?"

Nathan started laughing. "It's hard not to notice isn't it? You like the way they slap against Jimmy's while he fucks him? His cock is big too. He can suck himself."

"Really?? ...Cooool."

"Hey Tyler, Nick wants to see you suck your cock."

"Later. I'm busy."

"Can you suck yours," asked Nicky.

"Nah, Tyler got the family assets when it comes to cock. I got the brains," laughed Nathan. "You seem kind of interested Nick. Do you like cock?"

"I'd like to be able to suck myself," giggled Nicky. "It would be better than jerking off."

"You can always find other people to do it for you. ...You fucked up yet?"

"I think so," said Nicky. "I feel funny."

"Good," said Nathan as he reached over and rubbed Nicky's crotch while kissing his neck.

"Please don't," said Nicky. "I don't want to."

"Come on Nick. It'll be fun. You're so cute. You said it would feel good."

"No... please," moaned Nick.

Nathan laughed. "Your words say no but I can feel your cock. ...It says yes. Here, put your hand on my cock," he said taking Nicky's hand. "Feel it? Feel how hard it is? It's because of you."

"No ...I mean yes ...I mean ...I don't want to," said Nick.

"Relax Nick. It's okay. Rub my crotch. There's no hurry. We can take all the time you need. I know you want to."

"I can't.

"Sure you can. You can't deny you want it. You're cock is rock hard. Plus if you didn't then your hand wouldn't still be on my crotch. Tell me the truth, you like it a little, right?" asked Nathan reaching towards Nick's pants. "Let me see what you've got."

"No," cried Nick.

"Come on Nick. It'll feel good. I promise. I'll just suck you a little and if you don't like it then I'll stop. I promise. I won't hurt you. I want to make you feel good, that's all. Put your arms around me. Doesn't what Tyler and Jimmy are doing look fun?"

"My head..."

"You're really fucked up. You should see your eyes," said Nathan. "Come on, let's get you out of your clothes. I want to see what you've got. I bet you're really smooth. I am too other than a trail down to my crotch. I'm not cut either. You even seen someone who isn't cut?"

"Huh?"

"You know, not circumcised. You can play with my foreskin. Have you ever done that before?"

"No."

"Don't be so nervous. Nobody is going to hurt you. It's obvious you like this. This tent in your pants is giving you away," smiled Nathan rubbing Nicky's crotch.

"Here, take a look," said Nathan loosening his pants. "Touch it if you want. It won't bite. See my precum? That's because of you. Go ahead, touch it."

"I can't. I..."

"Nick, it's okay. We won't tell anyone. We do this all the time. Come on, you'll like it. Nobody will ever know" smiled Nathan leaning in and moving his lips towards Nicky.

"I have a boyfriend."

"What? You holding out on me?" smiled Nathan. "So you do like guys!! What's the problem then?"

"Yes, but I can't do anything. Please don't make me. I can't. I can't hurt Danny."

"You won't. He's not here and I won't tell him," said Nathan holding onto Nicky giving him a kiss. "Maybe you'll learn something new that you can do with him. He might even want to join us sometime. A threesome? Maybe even a five-some," smiled Nathan looking over at Tyler and Jimmy.

"No... please?"

"Okay," said Nathan putting his arm around Nicky's shoulder and pulling him close. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. I understand."

"You're not going to make me?"

"Hell no, I wouldn't do that. Trust me, I like it but I've been forced to do things I didn't want. I know what that feels like and I won't do that, not to anyone. Especially not to you."

"Why me?"

"Nick, you don't get it do you? Why do you think I came over to you in the park?"

"I don't know."

"One, you looked like you needed a friend and two, you're so damn cute. I was hoping we could have some fun. Maybe getting you high wasn't very smart but you enjoyed it, didn't you?"

"I don't know. I guess."

"Here, let's smoke another joint. We can watch Tyler and Jimmy. It'll be like our own porn video. Maybe you'll change your mind. It does look like you need it."

"No, ...I'm sorry. ...I should leave," said Nicky standing up and staggering.

"No don't leave. Sit here and finish the joint. I do need to shoot a load though. You mind if I join Tyler and Jimmy for a while? I'll stay and talk if you want but I'm really horny."

"You mean I can just sit here and watch the three of you?"

"Sure, smoke the joint and jerk off if you want. It's cool. Friends?" he smiled leaning down and giving Nicky a quick kiss. "You sure you don't want to touch my cock?" Nathan said playing with his foreskin. "We can dock if you want."

"Dock? What's that?"

"Hey Jimmy, come here. Nick doesn't know what docking is. You like it. Let's show him. ...Watch this Nick."

"It feels good Nick," said Jimmy. "It kind of makes you feel like you would if you weren't cut."

"Wow," said Nick letting out the smoke as he watched Nathan put his foreskin over the head of Jimmy's cock.

"You sure you don't want to try?"

"I do but I can't. Danny and I promised each other. I don't want to..."

"Relax Nick. It's okay. You don't have to do anything. I don't really want you to right now anyway. I know if you did it would be because you're horny, stoned or both. I'll stop tempting you. Why don't you just sit there and watch. Jerk off if you want."

"You're kidding, right? You're really going to let him just sit there?"

"Since when do you mind an audience?"

"It's not that. He can watch all he wants. You just surprise me. You let him off the hook."

"I like him. It's obvious something is bothering him. Leave him alone."

"We won't touch him. You on the other hand..."
