The Professor and Sean, Part 43
(Ryan narrates)
When we arrived home from school, I was totally aroused. I only wanted to make love to Sean. I wanted to be his lover, to show him in the most gentlest way just how much I loved and wanted him.
He was equally aroused and when he asked me to make love to him, I almost wept. My emotional being was flying high, filling me with feelings that were almost unimaginable. I spent a moment trying to figure out why this moment in our lives was so filled with pure love and desire.
We made unbridled love for that afternoon. Just lying there with Sean in my arms was satisfying and fulfilling. We kissed gently and enjoyed our bodies as we explored them. I had been in him and brought him to a highly satisfying climax. We rested and then he was in me making me lose control of myself as I screamed and shook and begged him not to stop. It was incredible.
After that we took a leisurely shower together, hugging and kissing softly. We toweled off, and moved to the kitchen where we began to get something for dinner. Sean was his usual self and I didn't try to pull away as he kissed my neck and hugged me. Once in a while, I would turn and kiss him, whispering in his ear how much I loved him. Somehow, with all this, we got dinner ready, sat down and ate. There was almost no conversation. We just looked at each other, occasionally holding hands. We finished and put things away, filling the dishwasher with dishes, and placing leftovers in the refrigerator. Then we went into the living room, now partially lit by a few candles.
We sat together on the sofa after I had put on a CD. We just held each other, remembering, I guess, what our love had to overcome. When the CD began, we both had tears running down our faces, finally wrapped in each other's arms, knowing how much our lives to this point were a reflection of the lyric:
The story of my life,
Is very plain to read.
It starts the day you came,
And ends the day you leave.
I was alone; you found me waiting:
You make me your own.
I was afraid that somehow I never could be
The man that you wanted of me.
You are the story of my life,
And every word is true.
Each chapter sings your name.
Each page begins with you.
The evening passed as we felt again all the emotions of almost losing each other. Again, we knew that sex was only a tiny, but important part, of our love. Our love was complete.
We both slept soundly that night.
The next few days flew by. Sean had never gone out to cut a Christmas tree, but I made sure that we went on that excursion. He was almost a little child again. It was a happy moment for him. I enjoyed his excitement because it brought back memories of some happy times in my life. My dad and I had done this for many years. Now I would enjoy it all again as I watched my lover, my partner, enjoy it. It also made me aware that Sean had not had many of the experiences as he grew up that I so easily took for granted.
Decorating the tree was another wonderful time. We laughed and kissed and enjoyed the whole process. I noticed again that for Sean it was a new experience. He reveled in it. When it was finished, we turned off all the room lights and then with a count down, we lighted the tree. I glanced at Sean and saw the tears running down his face. I nearly broke up, but I willed myself to be strong. I went to my love, my husband, and took him into my arms, kissing him as gently as I knew how. He melted into my arms, sniffling.
"It's so beautiful, Ry. I never had a tree growing up. My uncle wouldn't have it. No need really because I never got a present after my folks died. I suppose we had a tree and things when my parents were alive, but I don't remember that, Ry. Thank you for doing this for me. It means so much. I know I tell you this all the time, but I am going to say it again, 'I love you.'"
Without realizing it, tears were running down my face. He noticed and seemed alarmed.
"Why are you crying, Hon? Is it something I said?" he asked.
I pulled him to me and told him, "No, Baby, no. It's just that I'm so happy, so filled with joy. Your reaction to all this just stuns me. Sean, I just love you so much."
That night in bed we continued to express our love for each other, enjoying the warmth and gentleness of our lovemaking.
The trial of the two Bronson boys was quick and definite. The younger Carl was found guilty of battery and was sentenced to five years of probation after serving two years at the prison for young offenders. His brother, Dennis was found guilty of battery and attempted murder. Unfortunately, he was sentenced to twenty years in state prison. With good behavior, he would be entitled to apply for parole, but not until he had served a minimum of ten years.
Later, before we left for Florida, we read that the father had been found guilty of stalking and threatening, and was sentenced to ninety days in the house of correction, and five years of probation. We finally could put that terrible episode behind us.
(Sean narrates)
I had called Dan and asked him to find a gift for Ry. I also told him about not wanting to give Ry the endowed chair as a gift at Christmas because I wanted others to share the joy of that, especially his mom and dad, and our close friends. I still wanted to know what he had arranged for me to give Ry as a gift on Christmas. He told me about an engraved piece of Crystal in the shape of the bell tower on campus that included the name of the chair and the date and the donor. I quickly asked him if the engraving was done. It wasn't, so I instructed him to have the date of the Convocation instead of Christmas. He said he would take care of it.
Then I asked him to take care of getting a Christmas gift for Ryan. I was specific about the gift. The next day I received a call from Dan informing me that he had found what I wanted. He quoted me the price, which was significant, but I wanted Ry to have it. I told him to purchase it. He decided the best way for me to get the item was to have a courier deliver it to me. Even if Ry were here, and he probably would be, he wouldn't know what it was.
Ry and I went shopping together to select just the right gifts for Mom and Dad, Rog and Greg, and Aunt Emily. We didn't forget Cathy or Janet. We agreed that we would both go shopping separately to look for gifts for each other.
On the appointed day of our special shopping, Ry was ready early and left, telling me that he would be home by four that afternoon. It was then about ten in the morning.
I made a list of items I thought I might like to get for Ry. I kept adding things, then I would cross them off, then add them again. I did this for a long time, trying to convince myself that I had the right list, but then I would waver, cross off items and add others. I was still doing this at eleven in the morning when the doorbell rang. I nearly jumped out of my skin. I went to the door and looked out the peephole. A young man, dressed in a uniform, stood there with a package in his hands. I opened the door, and he asked,
"Are you Sean Kelly?"
"Yeah, that's me."
"Would you sign for this package, please?" he asked.
As I was signing the receipt, I noticed that the package was attached to the courier's hand with a metal cord of some kind. I returned the signed sheet, which he put in his pocket. He then unlocked the cord which had secured the package to him. He handed the package to me.
"As you know, the package is really valuable. Keep it in a safe place," he informed me.
"Thanks, I have a safe place for it," I lied to him as I handed him a fifty dollar bill, which he looked at, but refused to take.
"Thanks, but I can't take gratuities as I have already been provided a tip, but thank you anyway," he told me. I thanked him again and he left.
I stood there with the package wondering what to do with it. I didn't have a safe place to keep it. Then it struck me that it should be wrapped and put under the tree. I brought the box to the study and found an inconspicuous place to secure the box. I would wrap this gift later when I did the others that I wanted to buy for Ry. For good measure, I moved my backpack in front of it, as I knew I wouldn't be using it for some time.
I was just about to leave when the phone rang. It was Mom and Dad Taylor. It was so great to hear their voices. They just wanted to see how we were doing and what our plans were for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I told them that I wanted to go to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve; they were pleased to hear me say that, especially Mom.
"Sean, it's so good to hear that. We haven't pressured Ry about it, but he hasn't been too faithful since he and Kevin ended their friendship. I think he gave up on God because of that terrible time in his life. But things are different now, Sean. God has been so good to him. After all, He brought you, his angel, to him. He blessed you and you survived the attack. His grace poured out and many individuals freely gave their love and help to both of you. Ry needs to thank God, Sean. Thanks for thinking about Mass. I warn you though, he may not take to the idea.
He has too much to thank God for not to return to church. You love him and he loves you, so insist that he go to church with you. Oh, for heaven's sake, Gerry, cool your jets. Your Dad wants to talk to you, Sean. Here he is," she said with a tone that bordered on disgust.
"Hey, Dad, how are you?" I asked.
"Son, I am just fine. Just wanted to add something to what your mom was saying. If need be, kick his ass. He needs to make his peace with God. Don't let him talk you out of it. I have wanted to confront him for a long time, but your mom and I couldn't agree on an appropriate time. Have to tell you, Son, I was surprised and pleased that he let a Catholic priest take part in the ceremony. I bet a bundle he did that because he loves you so much, he didn't want to do anything that would have made the ceremony less than you wanted. Sean, you are a good man and I believe you have a strong connection to God. Please try to bring Ryan back," he said in a voice thick with emotion. I found myself close to tears. They loved him so much. But I needed to keep us all from getting too serious.
"Don't worry, Dad. I'll do just as you told me. I'll kick his ass all the way to church. He'll know I mean business, Dad. Don't you worry."
Dad was chuckling and as I was speaking, I heard Mom pick up an extension. I continued, "You know he is going to be pissed...(sorry Mom, that's not appropriate language for me to use in front of you), but I will be angry with him if he gives me any trouble."
"Look, Son, he loves you so much that I can't believe that he will do anything but agree. But...but..." and Mom stopped speaking.
"What's the matter, Mom?" I asked quickly.
I heard her blow her nose, and Dad was silent. I knew something was not right.
"Mom?"
"Sean, you are our son, too, and we love you without reservation. But we have given you a mighty task and we are going to make it more difficult. Don't let him stop building his relationship with God. Just Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve is not enough. We are both getting older and who knows what may happen in a few year..."
"Mom, I don't want to talk about that," I interrupted.
"I'm sorry, because we know how much tragedy you have had to face in your young life. But, Son, it's important. He needs to have the faith that you demonstrate every day."
I interrupted again. "But, Mom, Ry is a wonderful, thoughtful, caring, loving man. He's perfect and I love him the way he is." I chided her.
"That's all true, Son, but he still needs to make his peace with God, then he will be perfect," Dad said with firmness and authority.
"Enough of this! Enough! What are you guys planning to do when you get here?" Mom asked.
"I'm not entirely sure. We're having Rog and Greg over for dinner the day after Christmas. We will do some planning then. Ry has mentioned, Disney World, Sea World, Universal, and Busch Gardens. He also wants to take us to South Beach in Miami. I know Rog and Greg want to rest, do some swimming and work on their tans. I really want to do that, too. I need to talk to Ry about that. We don't have to be on the move 24/7. He needs to rest, too. That's what vacations are all about," I told them.
"Absolutely right," said Dad.
"I agree," added Mom.
'You realize that Ry will be upset that he wasn't here when you called. You better expect a call later this afternoon. He's out shopping for me and said he would return at about four. Mom, Dad, I really love you. Thanks for accepting me as your son. You truly have been the parents I never had growing up. I love both of you so much. God bless you both," I told them as I tried valiantly not to cry.
"You and Ryan are the certainty of our lives. We love both of you completely. God bless both of you, too. Remember, Sean, you are our son. No mistake about it," Dad said in a choked-up voice. I heard Mom crying in the background.
"I'll tell Ryan you called. Bye, Mom and Dad. I love you both."
Mom, now having control of herself told me, "We love you, too, Son. Goodbye, dear."
"Bye, Son," my dad added.
There was a click and the call was over. I sat holding the phone and suddenly I was so overtaken by emotion that I just cried, not out of control, but out of love. I went to our bathroom, and washed my face with cold water. I got my jacket from the closet and prepared to leave. I had to do something, so I grabbed a yellow legal pad and a red marker. I wrote in large red letters,
"RY, I LOVE YOU. Sean."
I propped the pad up on the kitchen counter where Ry couldn't miss it. I smiled a little to myself wondering what his reaction would be. I had much to do, so I turned, and after setting the alarm, I left the townhouse to do some serious shopping for my lover. It was about eleven thirty.
(Ryan narrates)
It had been a long, and at times, frustrating day. First of all, I really didn't want to leave Sean at the townhouse. I wanted him to be able to come with me shopping, but I did realize that wouldn't work, as we would inevitably see a gift we weren't supposed to see. So it was decided to shop separately. I left at about ten in the morning, reminding Sean before I left to be sure to arm the alarm system. He gave me a quick kiss and I left.
I went first to see Angus Cameron at his home. I got to meet his lovely wife, Collette and his son Blake. Blake is seventeen, I guess, and a really handsome guy. He has artistic talents, too, which I presume he inherited from his dad. His mom is also talented as a designer. I stopped to check on the work Angus was doing for me. He showed me and told me that it would be ready that day, and that I could pick it up the next day. I was astonished and filled with pleasure when I saw his handiwork.
"Pretty good, don't you think, Dr. Taylor?" Blake asked.
"Outstanding," I replied.
Angus smiled at me and simply said, "It's pretty easy when you start with good material. So when do you think you can pick up the stuff?
"How about tomorrow sometime in the morning?" I asked.
"Fine with me," he said.
"Angus, let me give you the check now so that you have time to cash it, or whatever, before the banks close for the holiday."
"That's fine, Ryan," he replied.
I pulled out my checkbook and wrote the check. I checked it for accuracy.
"Before I write in the amount, Angus, I want to be sure that you are charging me as much as you would any other client."
"I told you twenty-five thousand dollars would be fine. I haven't changed my mind. And yes, it is less than I might charge a stranger, but you are a friend and a colleague. It's plenty. Just relax. And you gave me the order long ago, so I didn't feel hurried. I'm honored, by the way, that you selected me to do the work for you."
I smiled at Angus and Blake. " What you have produced, is wonderful and for me it is priceless. Thanks so much."
Angus walked me to the door with Blake following.
Blake called after me, "Be sure to say 'Hi' to Sean."
------------------------------------- My shopping spree was frustrating ,but fun. I got Sean a gorgeous gold chain and a great gold bracelet. I splurged on clothes, finding both a light blue cashmere sweater that would set off those eyes of his and an absolutely beautiful tan cashmere sport coat.
I had a ball, and almost a hardon, selecting all kinds of hot underwear.
There were socks and CD's, computer accessories, some Van sneakers, some outstanding Italian loafers whose price would have floored my conservative parents. But I didn't care. I wanted Sean to have many presents and nice ones. After all, this was our first Christmas together and I wanted it to be one he would not forget.
I worked my way through a multitude of beautiful imported shirts, gorging myself on the fabrics and colors. I ended up not being able to decide on which I liked best, so I smiled and bought six of them.
It took some doing, but I found bathing suits, flip flops, shirts, shorts, and other things for our trip to Florida. I wanted to get us a couple of matching things, hesitated, and then told myself, 'Fuck it! Do it.' So I did, hoping that Sean wouldn't think it was a little too gay.
Finally at the luggage store I bought matching luggage for us. But I wasn't finished.
At the bookstore, I went semi insane, finding a slew of books that would interest and inspire Sean. I searched the CD's to find Mozart piano pieces. I had listed songs that Sean had mentioned he liked when they played in the car or at home; pop, rap, some country Western, and I purchased them all for him.
Finally, I was exhausted. All the gifts were being wrapped, except the luggage. I hadn't stopped for lunch, so I went to the food court and ordered myself a piece of pizza and a coke. I sat at one of the tables munching away. I was surprised to hear someone call my name.
"Merry Christmas, Professor Taylor."
It was radiant Angela Stefanno. She was with a handsome young guy, maybe a couple of years older than she. They approached the table, both smiling widely.
"Hi, Doc. This is my brother Dominic."
Dominic smiled at me. He was a very hot guy.
"I've heard a lot about you, Doc. I understand that you are married to a great guy."
"Yes, I am. Angie came to the wedding. You're lucky to have her as a sister. She's quite remarkable, you know," I said.
"And don't I know it!" he replied.
"So, Doc, do you have all your shopping completed?" Angela asked.
"I pretty much do. There's just one thing that I can't get for Sean for Christmas. It tears me up, but I can't do anything about it."
"What are you looking for, Doc. Maybe I can help as I have some friends into merchandising," a smiling Dominic told me.
"Thanks for thinking of helping, but it's something you two can't help me with," I said.
Angela reached over and took my hand. She smiled and said,
"You won't know if you don't ask."
"It's very personal, but I trust you Angela, so that means I trust Dominic, too. It's just that we want to have a family and we are having difficulty deciding whether to adopt, or use a donated egg and a surrogate mother. That way we could have some genetic connection with the child. Sean wants more than one. I think if he had his way, we'd have a dozen. Our attorneys are working on it, but I am sure they won't have any answers for us. So, it's a major problem, and I can't fill Sean's wish for Christmas."
"Hey, Doc, that's no big deal. Tyrone and I have two kids; both of them with a surrogate mother. One is black and one is white. Both are boys. Angela here donated the eggs. The surrogate mother we found through an agency. I'll write down the name and number and you can contact them. I'll also give you the name of the doctor and hospital where the egg and sperm were connected and the embryo began. That should be a help."
"Wow! You can't imagine how great that it," I said with astonishment in my voice."
"And because it is you, my favorite person other than family, I'll donate the eggs, maybe not a dozen, but we can cross that bridge when we need to."
"Angie, we couldn't ask you to do that. You want children of your own. And your brothers might want other eggs, too. I don't think we could let you do that," I told her.
Dominic brought some reality to our discussion. He told both of us,
"Look, you two, we don't have to decide this all at this moment. You and Sean have to do a great deal of legwork, or your attorneys will have to. So let's just leave the offer from Angie on the table. Whether that's what finally happens only time will tell.
But, Doc, I can assure you this: one way or another with the Stefanno family on your side, you and Sean will have all the kids you'll want. Come on, Angie, we got lots of other errands to do. See you later, Doc. Let us know when we can help," he said with a smile that mimicked Angela's, but it didn't win the contest, that went hands down to Angie.
"Bye Doc and Merry Christmas. Tell Sean I said 'Hi'. He's lucky to have you, Doc. I think I would have gone after you if you had been straight. But I love you anyway. Bye." With that, they disappeared into the crowds of happy holiday shoppers.
I went and collected my wrapped packages. I couldn't wait to tell Sean the news. Maybe I would keep it as a special gift for Christmas. That's exactly what I decided to do.
It was about four when I got to the townhouse. After disarming the alarm, I began carrying packages into the townhouse. I had to make a number of trips and when I looked at all the things I had purchased for my lover and husband, I thought I might have been a little extravagant. 'No, I thought to myself. This is for the person I love most in the entire world. It's fine.'
I hung my coat in the closet, removed my shoes, and wandered into the kitchen to get myself a drink. I noticed a yellow legal pad propped up. Obviously, Sean didn't want me to miss it. I walked over to pick it up, but the print was large enough to read from where I stood. It was simple but complete, and I knew it came from his soul. The words burned into my being,
"RY, I LOVE YOU. Sean"
My eyes misted and my heart leapt to my throat. My lover deserved the world. I, too, felt a strong desire to scream aloud how I felt to the core of my being: 'SEAN, I LOVE YOU!' I grabbed a cold beer and returned to the living room and began filling out gift cards and attaching them to the gifts. I no longer could identify the gifts as they were all wrapped in a variety of beautiful papers with exquisite ribbons and bows. As I finished, I placed each gift under the tree. Within in a half an hour, a multitude of gifts was under the tree. It would be a memorable Christmas for Sean and for me.
I thought about my special gift for him, and I wondered if he would like it. I thought he would because I know him so well and know his likes and dislikes. But he's younger than I am so I couldn't be sure. There are so many things that I could give him, but I wanted to do this for him to show my love. I prayed silently many nights that he would like what I had arranged. I got another legal pad and began to jot down things I would like to do and places I would like take Sean in Florida.
There are so many places and things to do that culling out any of them is really difficult. We would have to do things that were appealing to Rog and Greg, too. It couldn't all be what Sean and I wanted. And we had to remember Mom and Dad, also. I knew that Mom and Dad wouldn't want to go every place we picked to go. They have visited some of them many times. They would want to go with us most of the time, though. I realized suddenly that I wasn't getting anywhere. I needed Sean, Rog, and Greg here to help map out a plan. Since Rog and Greg were returning home from Florida before we were, it would be necessary to do the things they wanted first. I looked at the page, smiled and pulled off the sheet of paper and crumpled it up. I took it out into the kitchen and threw it away. I got myself another cold beer. I was happy and content with my life. I had been so lucky to find Sean. God, I loved him.
I glanced at my watch and it was five-fifteen. I decided that I should probably start thinking about dinner. I then thought that I should wait for Sean to get home so that he could offer some suggestions and the food wouldn't get cold. I put on some music that I enjoy listening to, I guess it's called mood music. It's the kind of music you can listen to and still do others things. I still had a number of exams to finish correcting and grades to compute. They had to be completed by tomorrow, so I had plenty to keep me busy.
I got my attaché case and pulled out the exams that I had to finish correcting. I had thought the exam was simple, but from what I had read of the few I had corrected, it wasn't as easy as I had presumed. I was dismayed by the answers I was getting on the play, Othello. How could so many students misinterpret the main thrust of the play? My head swam as I recalled the number of times I had discussed it in class. One of the few to get it correct was Angela Stefanno. No surprise there.
It had been a surprise to meet Angela and her brother at the mall. However, it had been a pleasant diversion from the Christmas rush. They made the day happier by what they told me about our problem. Time would tell how accurate they were.
Finally I finished the tests. I knew immediately that I should probably use the infamous curve, but I hesitated wondering what good it would do these less-than-strong academic students if I did that. I should fail those who hadn't really studied. It was pretty obvious who they were. I reject the notion that poor test results are usually the result of poor teaching. I think that perhaps it may be lazy students who attend college for things other than the academic pursuits. I sat there staring at the brightly-lighted Christmas tree, not really seeing anything in particular, but instead, a shimmering mass. In a sense it led me to my decision: those who failed failed. That was my final word.
I heard some bumping and cursing outside the entry door. I hurried to the door, looked out the peephole and saw a vision, perhaps more entertaining than he would wish it to be. There stood Sean, packages and bags seemingly growing out of him as he did a dance of a kind with erratic movements, bends, and the use of teeth, struggling to get his key so that he could unlock the door. 'Should I leave him alone, or help my lover?' I couldn't let him twist in agony any longer.
As I opened the door, he stood there looking at me with wide, wild eyes, a bag hanging from his teeth. I took my chances and smiled at him. He just glared more intensely. I knew I would laugh, so I decided to say something,
"Looks like you've been Christmas shopping. You obviously got what you wanted," I told him again controlling my desire to burst into uncontrolled laughter.
"Helllppp!" he cried.
I took some packages from him, but left the one in his teeth. I thought the better of that move: give him a moment to cool down, then remove that bag. When I observed a slight smile on his face, I took the bag from his teeth.
"Don't you dare look, " he cautioned me.
"I wouldn't think of cheating. Need anymore help, Baby?"
"Just take a couple more and help me get this stuff to the study," he said.
I started to pick up some of the bags, when he laughingly said,
"Hold it, cutie, I want and need a kiss. Get over here and lay one on me."
I quickly moved to him and gave him a peck on the lips.
"What was that?" he asked.
"A kiss."
"Bullshit!" he said.
With a small bang he dropped all this packages, stepped over some and took me into his arms and gave me a Kelly kiss I would not soon forget. The door was still ajar, and our kiss continued for some time until I began to get cold. I pulled away from him a little.
"Baby, please let's close the door before I freeze my balls off," I chided him.
He burst out laughing and closed the door. He kissed me again, quickly, and told me,
"No, way, Ry. No way are we going to hurt those jewels. They may be on your body, but they belong to me along with the delivery tube."
We stood there laughing until I finally said, "Vice-versa, Baby!"
We began to pick up the packages and bags, and headed to the study where I placed things carefully on the floor. I spied a package near the leather chair, and was about to ask about it when I realized that Sean had probably put it there. I would not ask about it.
"Now, out of here, my hot lover. For a while this will be off limits to you. I have a lot of gift-wrapping to do. But first I want a break. Let's go and have a drink and some nibbles. I just want to be with you and enjoy this wonderful time together," he said as he took my hand and led me from the study and into the kitchen. I turned and gave him a firm and sincere kiss.
"By the way, Ry. Mom and Dad called just as I was leaving."
"Damn, I wish I had been here. What did they want?"
"They were wondering what we would be doing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They also asked about what we planned to do when we got to Florida. I told them we hadn't decided yet, that Rog and Greg were going to have dinner with us the day after Christmas and we would decide then. That was pretty much it," I told him, hating myself more than a little for not telling him their desire for him to go to church and make peace with God.
"I'll have to call them in a few minutes. Did they seem okay to you?"
"They seemed fine, but I sensed a little sadness that we wouldn't be with them, but not anything serious. They wanted us both to know how much they loved us. And, Hon, they kept telling me they loved me and that I was their son. If they only knew how much more I love them than I am able to express. We all got a little teary when we said goodbye," I said.
"You gave them all the right answers, at least as far as I can tell. You have any ideas about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?" I asked.
"Not exactly. You have any ideas?" he asked.
"Just want you as my big present. Can you arrange that?"
"Probably," he said with a giggle.
"No probably. I want a definite answer," I told him as I laughed.
"Definitely, my handsome lover. Definitely!"
He was in my arms by that time and we were kissing warmly. He whispered in my ear,
"I always want to be your big present. Always."
"Love you," I said.
"Twice as much," he responded.
"Dinner?"
"Sure."
"Any ideas," I asked as I stoked his back and began to massage his ass.
"Hmmm! That's so nice, Hon."
"Dinner or bed?" I asked.
"Dinner."
"Okay, but we have to stop this. I'm already hard, so unhand me, Baby."
"Oh, so I suppose we will get dinner together?"
"Right. Come on, let's get into the kitchen and get something started. Then, who knows what might come next."
"I'm hoping, Hon. I'm hoping I know what's coming next. It's dessert and it's you.
------------------------------ (Sean narrates)
After I left the townhouse, I drove directly to the Mall. I couldn't get the telephone call from Mom and Dad out of my mind. They were so concerned about Ry and his relationship with God. It bothered me. An even greater concern was that they wanted me to confront him. I always believed that he was fine with God. Yet the more I thought about it, even back to the time I took him to the church of my earliest years, he never seemed anything but interested and reverent.
I thought to myself, 'Still, I wonder how Ry will respond. I think he will be okay about Midnight Mass, but Communion and maybe Confession could be a different story.' I had to put this out of my mind as I had so much to get for Ry. And for once in my life, money didn't matter.
I purchased clothes, beautiful stuff, sexy but professorial. Great shirts, gorgeous, but the colors and styles were difficult to choose. So I bought one of each. I got him some beautiful Italian loafers, so lovely, in fact, that I wished I had a pair. I decided to wait until after Christmas.
I bought him two suits, gift-boxed, but with the understanding that he would be back to select the fabric and color that he wanted. I bought him a very professor-ish tweed jacket with a pair of honey colored wide wale corduroys. I had a ball selecting silk ties and ended up with six of them. Ry's sneakers had seen better days, so I purchased the latest in fashion and comfort, all with the understanding about returns and exchanges. I canvassed two bookstores and bought him a number of titles he had mentioned and then some that I thought he would like. They weren't all dull non-fiction stuff, but some hot fiction, too. He would love them.
I got a little crazy when I started buying him underwear. I got him what I wanted to see him wearing. I wanted all his finest equipment to show, to entice me into lovemaking. I laughed to myself, thinking, 'I really don't need anything to entice me into lovemaking with Ry. If he walks into the room, I am ready to mount him or have him mount me.' With socks I also went a little crazy, I don't remember how many pair of socks I bought, but they covered a rainbow of colors. I purchased some white athletic socks, really good ones, both crew and ankle length. He would be ready for anything.
It took me a while, but I finally found a store that had some summer apparel out for sale. I found a dark blue Speedo that would look yummy on Ry. I found another Speedo in a silver-like finish. Just thinking about Ry wearing it, I began to spring a woody. I prevented embarrassment by finding some shirts that would enhance his build and hide my problem if I carried them in front of me.
My last stop was the jewelry store. I told myself before I went in to be reasonable, but I wasn't. I found a gold necklace that would make him a hot hunk. A matching bracelet would add to his sexiness. I bought him a new watch, a Rolex, so need I say more? There was a ring that intrigued me, so I bought two of them, one for him and one for me. They boxed and wrapped everything for me. They should have, as the bill was in the thousands of dollars. But what did I care, this was for my beloved. Finally finished, I had help moving stuff to the car. I then drove home.
When I arrived at the townhouse, I foolishly tried to carry many the gifts into the house. I couldn't get all of them, but I was overburdened by the number I had decided to take. When I got to the door, I discovered I didn't have my key in my hand. I took one of the bags and put it in my mouth, then tried to find my key. Packages began to fall and I was making a great deal of noise and I cursed. Suddenly the door opened and there stood Ry. He looked as if he was about to laugh, but I shot him an angry look and he didn't. He took some of the packages
"Looks like you have been Christmas shopping," he said with a smile. I knew he wanted to laugh.
I tried to speak, but all that came out was an angry, "Helllppp!"
Finally he took the bag out of my teeth. He looked so hot, I just smiled.
"Don't you dare look," I warned him.
He told me not to worry that he wouldn't think of cheating and asked if I needed anymore help. I asked him to take a couple more packages and help me carry them to the study. Ry started to pick up some of the bags when I told him to stop and to kiss me. I got to laughing and said,
"Get over here and lay one on me."
Ry came to me and gave me a miserable little peck on the lips.
"What was that?" I asked.
"A kiss."
I dropped the packages and told him that was bullshit. I stepped over the packages and took him into my arms and delivered one of my really hot and sexy Kelly kisses. We continued kissing. Ry finally pulled away from me and told me that he was freezing his balls off and could we please shut the door. I couldn't help it. I burst out laughing and quickly closed the door. I kissed my man again and I told him that those balls belonged to me along with his penis, which I believe I referred to as the delivery tube. We stood there enjoying the moment, and as only Ry can bring something to a close, the said,
"Vice-versa, Baby."
We took the packages into the study and found places for most of them. After that was finished I told him to leave, that the study would be off limits to him for a day or so.
"I have some things to wrap, but first lets get something to drink and nibble on." I took his hand and as I led him to the kitchen I told him that I wanted to spend some of this wonderful time together. He grabbed me and kissed me firmly.
"By the way, Ry. Mom and Dad called just as I was leaving," I informed him.
"Damn, I wish I had been here. What did thay want?"
Briefly I related some of what Mom and Dad had said. I didn't mention the Christmas Midnight Mass or their desire to have him make peace with God. I thought that should wait for a later time, a more appropriate time if I could ever determine when that was.
He seemed pleased with what I had told him. He asked me if I had any ideas about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I told him I didn't. Then we started fooling around and I told him I wanted him for my big present.
We kidded about that and whether to make love or dinner. Finally we agreed to make dinner, and moved to the kitchen.
In the back of my mind was a thought: haunting, palpable and cloudy. How would I approach Ry with the concerns of his parents? And what would his reaction be? I was worried.
I shook off the dreading and began to get things from the fridge as we moved quietly about the kitchen preparing dinner.
