We were in urgent need of a decent agenda and timeline to have it all organized without stressing. I had deadlines to respect. Mike had things to keep a vigilant eye on. There was the packing we had to do, the move and installing ourselves at the penthouse after signing the deeds. There was a double wedding to organize and of course planning our honeymoon.

One of the important things was to have Darren and Markus over to combine the festivities of our weddings. There is nothing more difficult to offer your help without it being too obvious. We certainly didn't want to point a finger at them saying that they couldn't afford a nice wedding ceremony and party after it. They both deserved to have a day they would never forget, but they were on a limited budget. We had to find a way to very diplomatically reach out a financial helping hand without hurting their feelings or pride. I even called Laura to know if she had any idea or suggestion how to do it properly.

We thought about it thoroughly. Mike had an idea although he was not sure how we could get it functioning.

-Can we just invite them for a dinner and make them talk about their wedding preparations and then ask them... no, wait... beg them to include us and so have a double wedding?

The idea was appealing. When they came to dinner, even before we were sitting down in the dinning room, the spontaneously started to talk about their preparations and were mentioning, not really complaining, that they didn't realize how expensive most thing were. They had to reduce their list of guests, because it was too expensive to invite them all for the banquet. They felt sad about it as they wanted to have all their friends around them. Now, we all knew that most of the friends we had, were common friends to them and us. It was, in my opinion, the best moment to suggest to join our friends and festivities, but we first had to announce we were getting married, too. Mike was the one to drop the bomb.

-Apart from Laura, you are the first ones to know we decided to get married, too. But hearing that all is so expensive, I start to wonder...

-What Mike wants to say, I said, is that we don't need a paper to know we love each other. Is it really worth to go through all the costs, just to have a party? But...

I tried to put my most quizzical look on my face ...

-Would you guys be up for it to have a double wedding? I mean... most of our friends are the same ones. We could share the costs of the banquet. Would you guys agree to that ... please?

Darren and Markus looked at each other. For them, of course, the idea was completely new. When they heard "shared costs" a little spark lighted up in their eyes. From there on, they had a million questions and we gave the answers. We didn't really have to beg them, they found it a great idea. Mike asked them what their budget was and added that everything that would be over their budget, would be paid by us. At the end of the evening, Darren and Markus realized that Mike would be completely in charge and that they would not spend a cent more than what they had foreseen. It was a happy couple that left our house that night.

Meanwhile, the deeds for the house and the penthouse were signed. We didn't want to go through the hassle of the move and contracted a company that would do it all for us. We didn't even know there were such businesses. I was Laura who mentioned it to us and when we heard the price of their services, we didn't hesitated for one minute. It was not cheap, but compared to what it would cost if we would do it almost all by ourselves, it was not that much more expensive. It was worth it. You should have seen it! About ten men packing in and moving furniture at the speed of light, but very professionally. The only thing that was expected from us, was to show them where we wanted the things in the penthouse. It was unbelievable... in less than twelve hours, the house was empty and all major furniture in its place in the apartment. We still had a few boxes to empty, but that was all. Not a plate nor a glass was broken. While these men were moving furniture and boxes, Mike and I filled the cupboards. At 8pm almost everything was done. We were still missing some curtains that would be delivered next week.

We had our first bottle of bubbles on the terrace and a first visit: Laura, but she was not alone. She came in with Steve! That was a real surprise. Laura looked at him with eyes full of new love. Laura, the eternal bachelor, always alone, was now in company of a great guy and we couldn't be happier for them. She wanted to see the kitchen as she reminded me she and Steve had a cooking contest to perform. We had to include that in our time-line!

The first night was a bit weird. Yes, it was our bed, with our sheets and everything, but it was in a new environment. What was new as well, was the shower in our bathroom. My God ... there was space for a whole crowd if we wanted to (we didn't). This was another small detail that confirmed the move was a good idea. It seemed there was an endless supply of warm water and that made showering together even more pleasant. What didn't change was how horny we got when our hands were sliding over the other's body, using a lot of soap as lubricant. Mike knew how to let his hands roam over my body and exert the necessary pressure on the right spots. He couldn't pinch my nipples as they slipped out of his fingers, but nonetheless I felt him trying to grab them between thumb and forefinger. He did it repeatedly and that made the sensation even better. He was so patient when washing my hair, massaging my scalp and procuring that my whole body relaxed in his hands. He would caress my back and my buttocks and from time to time let a finger slip in between of them and brush against my rosebud. That would always provoke a twist of my hard dick, making it jump up. He would kneel down and wash my legs, letting the flowing water rinse my upper body while he was busy with them and my feet. I had to put my hands on the shower wall as not to fall over when he lifted my feet one by one, washing them, rinsing them and then take them in his mouth, sucking on each toe, slipping his tongue in between them. More shower gel would allow him to wash my midsection, paying a lot of attention to my ass, taint, scrotum and hard cock. He always said that my cock had to be hard to wash it properly. The cascading water would rinse all my parts and he would then replace his hands with his tongue, rimming me, pushing his tongue as deep as he could, till I begged him to enter me. His slippery cock would find its way easily between my clean buttocks and with a small thrust, it would pass my sphincter muscle and enter me inch by inch. I was still with my hands against the wall, trying to control my breathing, feeling fulfilled and happy to feel my future husband inside of me, touching places that would excite me to the highest point. Mike was always holding me from behind, wrapping his arms around my chest, kissing, nibbling and softly biting my neck and earlobes, pushing me softly towards a tremendous orgasm while filling me inside with his forceful thrusts, depositing his semen in my bowels. With Mike, this was most of the time the prelude to a second session in the bedroom, although... I would often return the favors he had given me, by washing him in a very similar way and keep our horniness up to level. I wouldn't always penetrate him, keeping that for when we were laying down on the bed where I would push all his most sensitive buttons and make him moan and groan while licking his body from head to toe. I could pin his arms above his head and spend a long time licking his shaved armpits, tasting his sweat and being intoxicated by his natural fragrance. I would do the same to his neatly trimmed pubes, licking them and giving him pleasure till he couldn't stand it anymore and begged me to make him come. Depending on the mood, I would penetrate his soft ass or suck him till the last drop of sperm was in my stomach.

That first night at the penthouse we were making love for hours. Our dicks were so hard that it almost hurt. We relieved each other from the sexual tension that had been building up, several times, enjoying the liberating sensation of ejaculating our fluids. At he end, we had no other choice than to shower again. This time limiting our activity to kissing deeply, transmitting all what we had in our hearts. Even drying each other off was becoming a very erotic thing to do. Quite often, Mike would put his dick in my ass when we were spooning, falling asleep like that.

The first morning I was a bit confused as to where I was. That's what happens when you just moved. In the kitchen I had to open several cupboards before I found the coffee. And I was a bit disoriented before I found the handle of the fridge to take some milk.

The installed automation made that the penthouse was brought to a pleasant temperature about an hour before we had to get out of bed. The floor-heating made it possible to walk around barefoot all the time. We even started to stay naked all the time as well. If there was any unannounced visitor dropping by, we had the time to put on jeans or shorts before they reached our floor. Being naked all the time, made us being horny even more than at the house. All day long we were constantly kissing or grabbing the other and we just loved it. Sometimes we had the feeling the penthouse had some very horny vibes and we were the happy victims of it. There were days it had no use to make-up the bed as we were more in it than out of it. We knew we would have to invest in a large terrace bed as we knew we would make love in the sun. Nobody could see us and even if there had been possible spectators, they could only see two men who were madly in love with each other.

As the date of the wedding was coming closer by, Mike was busier than the queen-bee of the beehive, making the necessary arrangements for Darren and Markus, but also for us, of course. He had found a small family run hotel that had a nice events-room that was so cosy and inviting that he had reserved the place without a second thought. The gay-friendly management made it possible to have everything we needed and wanted. Their chef was a well-known one and had the very good fame and reputation to serve top banquets. It was surely more expensive than what Darren and Markus had foreseen, but the financial part of the wedding was taken care of. The hotel had a contract with a local florist for their every day needs and was able to make the events-room as beautiful as a botanic garden. It was the perfect place for the wedding. Darren and Markus gave us the list of their guests and I designed a nice invitation to send out. It was a dark blue Bristol with gold lettering. On the lefthand side Darren and Markus were mentioned as Mike and I were featuring on the righthand side. I received quite a lot of positive comments and compliments on the beauty of that invitation.

Previous to the wedding, Mike and I went to see Steve at his travel agency. We had the trip to Venice that I gave Mike for his birthday, but we wanted to extend it a little. There was no way we were going to change anything about the visit to Venice, but we wanted to make a tour in Italy, visiting the most important cities as Milan, Turin and Rome, maybe even Capri or Naples. Instead of being away for a week, it would be a trip of about three. Mike wanted to do the tour by car and insisted strongly with Steve it would have to be a convertible. It took Steve only two days to come up with a fantastic tour, with all the necessary hotel reservations.

The wedding itself was wonderful as we were blessed with a blue sky and bright sunshine. The ceremony at town-hall was not really spectacular and more of a formality, but once we got out of there, the real festivities were worth the wedding of royal families. Mike had thought about just everything and Darren and Markus were in awe. They were feeling a little uncomfortable as they realized it was far more expensive than what they were contributing, but Mike told them it was our wedding present to them. They graciously accepted it.

Our first dance was to the song of Christina Peri "Thousand Years" (what else?) and it felt so romantic and emotional. I danced it with Mike while Darren danced it with Markus. After that the guests joined us on the dance floor. I have never danced that much in so few hours as every guest wanted to dance with the four of us. Just Laura and Steve stayed in each other's arms almost the whole time.

Around 1am, Darren and Markus had to leave to go to the airport. They were flying to the Canary Islands where they had reserved a nice little and quiet resort for a week. Our flight to Italy was later so we could stay till the end of the party. The VIP transport Steve had mentioned before was cancelled as he drove us to the airport himself and would come to pick us up when we returned. Instead of that he had upgraded our flight tickets to first class and neither Mike nor me had ever flown that way. That was really top class traveling!

To say our honeymoon was extraordinary would be a total understatement. It was fabulous, fantastic, magical, beautiful. Venice was great with all the architectural beauties. We walked where possible and of course had a tour in a gondola. It is true that it is a wonderful place but touristically exploited as nowhere else, but we were happy we had seen it. Driving on the small Italian roads (we avoided purposefully the motorways) was awesome, admiring the Italian landscapes and going through the many small villages. Italians are very friendly people and try to do everything they can to make your stay in their country as pleasant as possible. In the bigger cities it was a bit different as the typical individualism of metropolitan towns is always present, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. We stayed too few time in some places and certainly in Rome. There was too much to see. We saw the obvious things to visit, the Musts, but we just knew there was a lot more, things that were not even described in the touristic guides. We made hundreds of pictures and sent them directly to our e-mail addresses. Steve had not said a thing, but in every hotel we had our accommodation, reception and personnel were aware we were on our honeymoon. We never received so much flowers and Champagne bottles. Most of the nuptial suites were over the top and we felt like real VIP's. Making love in silk bedsheets was certainly something new... and slippery! We agreed that the good old cotton bedsheets still were the best.

When we were at the airport to catch our return flight, we had to admit we should do this more often. Ok... all we saw, we had already seen in books and on TV. The coverage of some touristic channels were showing you things even better than when you could see it with your own eyes. The atmosphere of the place was of course totally different. You can see the small streets of Rome on TV, but you can't hear the typical Italian shouting in the streets, you can't smell the fragrances of thousand of flowers on windowsills or the smell of that Italian cooking. Those were the things that made the travel worthwhile. Mike mentioned that he would like to visit Greece the same way we had seen part of Italy. He also mentioned the castles of the Loire in France and the typical countryside of England. He was so eager to visit the many Spanish wine cellars as well as the Arabic influences in their architecture. If it was up to him, we would travel to thousands of places. That made it easy for me, in collaboration with Steve, to find the perfect presents for birthdays and Christmas. Steve and Laura were at the airport and brought us home. Their relationship and their love were still going strong. It was so nice to see them as the two lovebirds they were. We had never seen Laura beaming like she did and Steve was one happy man as well.

Summer brought its usual heat and daily sunshine. We were almost obliged to install a marquee to have some shade on our terrace. As on our floor there was only our penthouse, we had the terrace on east, south and west orientation. Between 1 and 3pm it was too warm to sit outside if we had no shade. Mike and I both had our laptops and that allowed us to work on the terrace most of the days. That is a luxury not many people can afford.

I was quite busy with an article that a magazine had asked me, when Mike went out to do some grocery shopping. When after two hours he was not back yet, I started to worry a little. Mike was always quite efficient with the shopping and never took that much time. I imagined he had probably ran into someone he knew and maybe even gone for a coffee or something, so I worked on. The next time I looked at my watch, it was well over three hours he was gone. I picked-up my cellphone and dialed his number, but it seemed his phone was shut off. That was very unusual and my worries increased even more. When my cellphone rang and I saw it was an unknown number, I started to fear the worst.

-Hey Baby, it's me. Could you come and pick me up at the hospital? I was involved in a traffic accident.

Of course I was relieved he could call by himself, but at the same time totally pissed off. If he wanted me to pick him up, it meant that the accident had occurred some time ago. Why didn't he call me earlier?

-Are you all right?

-I am now. Can you please come to ER?

-I'm on my way.

The first question that came up for me was why he didn't call me with his phone. What had happened? Where was his car? How bad was it? From home to the hospital a million scenarios played off in my head.

I entered the waiting room in ER and there he was, sheepishly looking at the floor, his left arm in a cast. I knelt in front of him and lifted his chin with my forefinger. I could see he had been crying. With only the cast on his arm as visible effect of the accident, I couldn't understand why he had been crying. When he saw it was me in front of him, he threw his good arm around my neck and started sobbing again. I let him do, in silence, giving him time to get to his senses. Once he was calming down, I broke our hug and looked him in the eyes.

-It was not my fault, he said, I swear. The other car just bang into mine. Some witnesses pretend that the girl who was driving had her cellphone in her hands and was apparently texting. She died on the impact. The guy sitting next to her was unconscious when the ambulance arrived. I was groggy and didn't realized immediately what had happened. The paramedics put me in the ambulance and brought me here. When I was a bit more conscious, I realized I didn't have my cellphone and couldn't call you. As soon as they said they would release me, I asked the nurse to use their phone to warn you. It seems the guy in the other car is still in surgery. I want to wait to know what is exactly going on with him. I also need to wait for the police report to know where they towed my car to. I am afraid it is a total loss.

-As long as you are ok, I don't care about the car...

-But all the groceries are in it!

Who the hell cared about the groceries? Mike did! I went to the reception desk of the ER to try to get some information. The police had left their report and the nurse handed it over to me after I identified myself as being the husband of Mike. The guy of the other car was just out of surgery and in Intensive Care. We had no right to receive news about him, but the nurse showed a lot of compassion when I said they could call me, giving them my number, if there was anything we could do. The only information we got was that it was the guy's sister who passed away in the accident and that at ER they hadn't found any information as to find a next of kin of any sort. That made me insist even more to have the hospital call me if we could do anything. The nurse was kind enough to give us the name of the guy: Jacob.

We left the hospital and found the necessary information to where Mike's car had been towed away. He wanted to retrieve as much as possible and see if he could find his cellphone. Arriving at the car depot, Mike's car was standing there, totally wrecked. We went to identify ourselves at a little office and received the permission to take whatever it was we needed from the wreckage. Mike found his cellphone on the floor of the passenger next to the pilot seat and we transferred the groceries in my car.

Once at home, while I was putting the groceries away, Mike called his insurance company to give them all the information they needed and scanned the police report to send it to them by e-mail. To say Mike was shaken by that accident would be an understatement. He felt guilty although there was no reason to. The police report stated that the other driver was clearly busy with her cellphone. That mistake costed her, her life. Mike was really upset that the hospital had found no next of kin and was wondering what would happen if Jacob would need anything. Mike didn't want to eat any dinner. He justo took a painkiller for his arm and went to bed. I was not really tired, but went with him, to take him in my arms and as moral support if he needed it.

The following morning, the first thing Mike asked me was to drive him to the hospital. He wanted to know how Jacob was doing. He was already out of ICU and in a normal room. The nurses told us he was physically fine. The surgery had been successful and he would have to receive some serious physiotherapy once his legs were healed. They also told us that Jacob had been asking constantly for his sister and that not even half an hour ago, the doctor had given him the news of her passing away. We asked if it would be ok to visit him.

-Physically there is no reason to forbid any visits. Mentally or emotionally is a bit more complicated. He seems to be completely alone now that his sister died. We don't know of any family or friends and when asked, he just said he is alone, nothing else.

-Is he in need of anything?

-For the moment he isn't. The hospital provides everything he needs. A friendly listening ear... is maybe something he could use. If you gentlemen have some time, I'll try to reach the doctor to know.

She was busy on the phone for quite a while, but we couldn't hear her. When she came back to us, she gave us Jacob's room number. We knocked at the door and heard a very weak voice saying enter. Mike introduced us to Jacob and told him he was the owner of the car his sister ran into. Jacob started to apologize profusely and even more when he saw Mike's cast on his left arm.

-It is entirely my sister's fault, he said. She wasn't supposed to be texting on her cellphone while driving. I told her that a thousand times. I told her that what happened yesterday was going to be her fate. Unfortunately I was right. As soon as I heard the loud bang of the two cars hitting, everything became dark before my eyes and I woke up in the recovery room of ICU. I guess they are giving me some sedation as I don't feel any pain for the moment.

-Are you sure there is no one that has to be noticed of what happened to you?

-No... I am alone now.

-No parents or other siblings?

-No...

It seemed he was not really eager to give any information and we wanted to respect that.

-Is there anything else we can do for you, asked Mike.

-I guess there isn't for the moment. The doctor said I would have to stay here a bit longer till they are sure that I am healing well. What I will do after that is still a big question for me.

-Isn't there a work or a boss that should be warned?

-No...

Again that silence as if he was ashamed to tell us anything. He seriously looked lost.

Jacob was probably around twenty-five. It was difficult to say how tall he was, as he was laying down and covered with the crispy white sheets. He certainly looked like a nice guy and in normal circumstances, he would probably be good-looking. With a bandage around his head, it was difficult to say. His eyes were penetrating and sincere and had a strange honey color. His hair was probably dirty blond as a light colored stubble could be seen on his chin. When he opened his mouth we could see perfect white teeth. He suddenly entered in a panic-mode asking where his wallet was. We looked in the drawer of the nightstand and in the clothes cupboard, but both were empty. Mike tried to calm him down while I went to the nurse station. They had his wallet and mentioned there was quite some money in it. That was why they kept it in the safe. I went back to the room and told him so. He calmed down. He wanted to have it with him, in his room.

-Do you think that is a good idea Jacob? You know hospital rooms can't be locked. If you need anything, you can always ask for it, but I think it would be better to keep in the safe at the nurse-station. But... its up to you...

-Do you know if they found my suitcase?

I went back to the nurses, but no suitcase had been found. Maybe it was still in the wrecked car of his sister. We promised him we would go to the car depot of the police and look for it. We needed him to give us a precise description so that the police could check it. Jacob looked tired and we told him we would be back in the afternoon after checking for his suitcase.

Once in the car, Mike was silent. I knew he was thinking deeply. I knew which questions were going through his mind as I had the same ones. Why was it that Jacob was so mysterious about family and friends? There had to be a story behind it all, but, of course, it was none of our business. Having learned he was apparently alone, we just wanted to be kind to him as there would probably be no one else coming to visit him. Hell! Nobody even knew he was in a car accident or in the hospital. We stopped at the police car depot and checked if there was any suitcase found in the wrecked car of his sister, but nothing was found except the cellphone of his sister, but that was wrecked as well. There was no way to switch it on.

In the afternoon we went back to see Jacob. The doctor just came out of the room and we asked him how Jacob really was. We had to show our ID and even then he said that he was not allowed to give any information to non-family members. We explained the situation and after quite some time, the doctor gave in.

-We had to perform surgery on both his legs as the bones were shattered. We had to put in several titanium bars to keep it all together. He also has a severe concussion and needs a lot of rest. We try to not overdo it with painkillers, but nonetheless keep him as comfortable as possible. In normal circumstances, we would release him quite quickly if we know he will be taken care of, but as you tell me there is nobody, I don't know what to do.

-Doctor, please, let us talk to him and try to get him to trust us and see if we can get more details, Mike said. It all seems so mysterious and it is difficult to believe he has no friends or family at all. If he has really no one at all, we could take care of him.

We hadn't talked about that at all and I was only half surprised by Mike's statement. His heart went out to Jacob. There was no logical explanation for it, but I knew my husband and agreed with him. The doctor asked us to keep him up-to-date with any new element.

We went in. Jacob looked a little better. The bandage around his head was gone although the ugly scar on his forehead was not really nice to see, but it would heal. We told him that there was no suitcase to be found in his sister's car. The tears rolled out of his eyes...

-All that I had, was in that suitcase. It was not a lot, but it was mine. Now I don't have anything anymore... Jeez, the day they release me, I don't have any clothes to put on.

-Don't worry about that Jacob, I said, we'll help you out. Just tell us what sizes you wear and we will see what we can do for you.

-Why? I am a total stranger to you. You have absolutely no reason to do so.

-Jacob... you are all alone from what you told us. There is no way you'll be able to manage on your own. Where do you live?

He hesitated to answer. Once again we could see that look on his face that looked like shame and a definite uncomfortableness. His answer was almost a whisper.

-... I don't have a place...

-What do you mean Jacob? And please, don't worry about the reasons... it is none of our business if you don't want to tell us.

-I guess I'll have to tell somebody, because I am totally lost...

His face showed a turmoil of emotions and doubts. We could sense he was in a really desperate situation. It was normal he didn't trust us. We were, like he said, total strangers for him, but so was the rest of the world if the few things he had told us were true.

-My sister picked me up at the railway station. I don't even know where she lives. The only thing I had, was her cellphone number. I called her to say I was coming and she said she would pick me up, but nothing more was said.

-The police will probably be able to give you the information of your sister, thanks to the registration of her car... or her insurance... We'll look it up once you are better Jacob. But even if we find her address, you won't be able to be on your own. The doctor told us what they had to do in the operating room and it will take time to get you back on your feet. If you have absolutely no one in your life, you can stay with us the time that you need.

-I don't understand, said Jacob. Why do you do this? First my sister wrecks your car and send you to hospital with a broken arm and then you come and offer me help. It doesn't make sense to me.

-Does everything have to make sense? You are in a situation you didn't ask for. You need help and we happen to be here. Point final! Now you have the choice. You can accept our help or you can refuse it. If you refuse it, you don't know what is going to happen to you and, as you said, you won't even have a jeans or a T-shirt to put on your body. If you accept our help, you'll have a place to live, a bed to sleep in and a table with food on it. It is your choice. Just so that you know, we don't ask you anything in return, nothing!

Jacob became quite emotional and neither Mike nor I could avoid to follow his lead.

-But I owe you an explanation...

-You don't owe us anything at all. Just promise us to do everything you can to get better, that's all. If you need to talk, if you need to get something out of your system, we will be there to listen to you. If you want advise, if you want help, we will be there to give it to you if we can.

Once again, Jacob looked tired and we wanted him to rest. Before leaving, we asked him his clothes and shoe sizes and if he needed anything right now. The only thing he asked for was a decent toothbrush. We promised him he would have one in the morning.

That night, once we were in bed, and after making love, I asked Mike what his intentions were concerning Jacob.

-The only intention I have, is to help him... Listen, he is in a desperate situation. He has nowhere to go, his sister just died, his suitcase has disappeared and he has two broken legs. What do you expect us to do? Just telling him to get better and leave him to do it all on his own? You know he won't manage. Jeez... he is obliged to be in that hospital gown and doesn't even have a proper underwear or a T-shirt. He seems to have some money, but we don't know how much. How long will his money last if he has no job? Once released from hospital, he'll have costs such as clothing, but also at the pharmacy. We have the means to help him. He looks like a good guy. Maybe we make a mistake, but probably we don't. I have a very good intuition about him. Let's just show him some human feelings and help him instead of giving money to a charity where we will never know where our money will go. Let's help someone we met and shook hands with! Help someone without asking anything in return, from the bottom of our hearts. Up till now, we have been very fortunate and I would even say blessed with good lives, steady jobs and pretty bank accounts. Let's use that to help someone get back on his feet, literally. I don't want any "What if..." questions in the equation, just help someone in need.

God, I love my husband! He is so generous and gives with his heart, not with his wallet. I even admired him. His way of acting in the last 24 hours was so beautiful. I kissed him with my heart and my soul. I am so lucky I found him again after twenty years. He is so integer.

To be continued...
