Wolf and Witch-3

"Kalahari?" Benjamin's asked as I came back to reality. A single tear dropped from my eye, as it hit the ground a light twinkled from it before it disappeared. "Kalahari? Who is that?" Benjamin asked, "Huh? Oh, sorry." I looked at the pool, the girl was of russet skin her pearly white teeth were amazing in contrast with her skin color. Her luscious long raven hair was almost as long as mine.

"You know I don't know that." I said as a blur picked me up and threw me against a column holding me by the neck chocking me.

"Who and where is she!?!" Benjamin yelled in my face. I was vein choked by the one I trusted my life with....my crush, was crushing my neck. He gripped tighter I couldn't breathe anymore.

"I don't know...." I got out before my vision went dark. I began to feel like I was floating in the darkness. The last thing I felt was my head colliding with a hard surface.

"What happens when the one you love doesn't love you back?" A voice said.

"What happens when you are turned against by the one by you trust?" It said again.

"Let it all free.....let your anger and pain free....let it all go till you are...hollow." it said.

I slipped deeper into the darkness, a warm feeling on my face at first then it became cold. It numbed the pain before it felt too cold. I wanted it to end, just die already. I want to just die already and finally move on from the voices and whispering and the hot and cold sensations to end.

A beeping came to my attention, it was low at first. Then it grew and grew and grew louder until I could see a ray of light. It got brighter and brighter until I finally registered where I was. Some white room, laying on a bed with a tely hanging from the ceiling. I moaned in my moment of tiredness, "He's awake!" A voice said, "Call Dr. Cullen." It said, "On it, ma'am."

Where was I....who was I.....what's going on?

A pale man came in, "I'm really surprised that you're awake. I was thinking you would be out for another week." He said smoothly and he seemed like a perfect specimen of man. He turned to the nurses, "I have it covered." I only blinked, "it's quite alright Kalahari, you don't have to speak....after what you been through I can't see why you would."

"Who's Kalahari?" I asked my voice scratchy and dry. "You. You don't remember?" He asked hoping it was a joke, I shook my head no. "Oh...this is not good." He looked quite frantic at me and then the list and then his wristwatch. "I have to get something." He said leaving, I heard shuffling as he went out the room. Many voices expressing their worry.

I looked around not sure what to do, as I heard the sound of disappointment and gasps.

Before I knew it people came inside, one at a time. They were all beautiful and perfect. They introduced themselves to me, "It's nice to meet you guys." I said "I feel like I know you...but I do not remember." They seemed discouraged by my words.

A tall red skinned male his muscles bulged and his light brown hair stood out along his sky blue eyes. "Kalahari! You're okay." He ran up to me hugging my tightly. "I'm so so so sorry. I do not know what came over me." He said kissing my forehead before I pushed him away. "Hey...easy buddy. I don't know who this Kalahari is but I am not him." He moved away eyes still focused on me, "Kalahari. Please don't say that." Tears came to his eyes, "You can't...be gone." I couldn't help but want to wrap my arms around him and comfort him. Tell him everything was alright and that I remembered everything, that it was just a horrible joke. Except who jokes about that stuff?

"There's one thing I can try. I can't do it though." The man now known as Benjamin said, Carlisle turned to him,"Why not?" He asked in curiosity. "I cannot reach Camelot. Not without magic anyway." I looked at them funny, this all sounded so familiar. "Only Kalahari can get there. I feel so bad, a Chevalier never harms their charge." Benjamin said looking at the ground, "All he has done for me. I killed someone named Marcus who was after Kalahari's magic. I did it to protect Kalahari, but Marcus never attempted to kill. So by law I wasn't allowed to kill him."

I held my head in pain as flashes of images went by in my head. "Kalahari? What can we do to help?" He asked , Carlisle answered with, "We have to bring him into it slowly, too much pressure to his head he can have even more damage. " he said sadly.

Carlisle went to get Kalahari's chart, Edward chased after him.

"Carlisle, his head was so....dark and distant. Like he was a diiferent person." Edward said sadly, "It use to be filled with vivid colors and images of what I think to be Camelot. It...was breathtaking. Now it's all gone, and I can't help but want to restore him to his old self." Edward said walking with Carlisle.

"We need to bring enough memories back so Kalahari can use magic. Enough to travel between worlds as to get what Benjamin needs to cure him." Carlisle said to Edward.

"Do you know how to do it?" Edward asked looking through the window at Kalahari's sleeping form. Benjamin crying in the corner with his head between his hands. "We should try to bring him to usual places. It might help." Carlisle said grabbing the chart and walking to the mirror peering inside at Kalahari.

"We need his help. Benjamin told me, when we left that an image came into view. It was overwhelming and he couldn't take it. He had to know about it, only Kalahari couldn't tell him when or where he would meet this...thing. I believe...."

"Imprint?" Edward asked, "Yes...It's the only thing I can think about that could cause this. Benjamin saw an image of his imprint and attacked Kalahari when he couldn't tell him anything about her." Edward seemed to think about it. "It makes sense, but why isn't he attacking now?" Edward asked, "Because what he did shocked him back to a processive state. Basically he was so freaked out he attacked Kalahari that he snapped out of his fit."

"I am so dead when Camelot finds out." Esme sat down next to Benjamin, "Why would they..." she began but he stopped her, "He is a prince. An innocent one at that. He covered for me when I killed a man who continued to hurt Kalahari. I trust him with my life, but now I don't trust myself with his." He shook his head, "Many of us do things we are not proud of. To move forward in the future you must let go of the past." She soothed his mind.

The family left, Benjamin was escorted to his home. He had to be watched by Jasper and Emmett so he wouldn't try to come back to the hospital.

A figure snuck into the hospital, so silent humans couldn't hear it. So fast their eyes couldn't see anything but a red blur. She stood above Kalahari's bed.

"Well well well. Look who it is, so cute." She pinched my cheek softly. "Mmm maybe I can...have just a bite." She said getting closer. I woke up instantly, in shock I felt a push from within my head. It was as if an invisible wall was created.

"Well, I guess your not so helpless." She taunted rubbing the force field. "I don't know who you are, but you need to leave." A nurse said said coming into the room. In a blink the flaming haired woman leaped on the nurse, biting into her neck and twisting her neck. Blood gushed out, I put my hands over my ears and closed my eyes tightly knowing there was a popping and tearing sound.

I just pushed harder on whatever force was in my head. It felt like eternity until I opened my eyes. The flaming haired one was gone, the nurse lay dead. Her neck twisted to a degree far beyond livable. I screamed in terror, as I pushed myself up and out of the bed. I hit the floor hard, my legs feel like jello. I pushed harder, I was able to stand walking is harder.

10 minutes later

I am up and able to walk, just not well. I pulled the handle and pushed the door, I found myself on the floor again but in the hallway. I pulled myself up on the windowsill, I started walking slowly. Lucky I had undergarments on with this shirt, it showed my whole back.

I looked around, finding the nurses office. There was a blue hoodie, I picked it up and put it on. Walking down the hall, a sign. 'Elevator' I pushed the down button, it opened and I leaned against the wall. Pressing the star button, the doors closed. I could feel the elevator going down.

The door opened, and I walked outside. The receptionist in a bloody heap on the floor, no doubt the work of the flame headed pale woman.

I opened the door, the fog and cool mist of the night hitting me. The rain running down my head and back. Within a few seconds I was soaked to the brim, just great a lovely cold for me. I walked slowly down a street pushing on and on.

2 hours later

It was still raining, I was definitely sick. Bright light appeared behind me, I made to move out of the way, yet I slipped in the mud. Whoever drove obviously saw me as they began to swerve. Their car came to a spin, the end hitting me. I felt the pain of the impact, the wind whipping my face as I flew through the air into the woods.

I landed hard, mud covering my entire body. I felt myself fading into darkness. A handsome russet skinned face came into my view blurring until it was gone.

Jacob and Embry exited the car looking for whatever they hit. Hoping it was just a deer, they walked into the woods where they figure was seen to have been launched. They came to a boy with long hair, covered in mud and soaked to the bone.

"Oh Shit oh Shit oh Shit oh Shit." Embry said, "We hit a person. We should leave him." Jacob said scared of the consequences. "Are you crazy! We need to bring him to Old Quil." Embry said picking up the figure. "I can't believe. Man we're in so much trouble."

Next Day

When Benjamin and the Cullens got to the hospital they were surprised to see the events that took place.

1 hour later

Bella arrived with Chief Swan, she went to Edward immediately asking questions. Surprised to hear of what Victoria's done. "Wait! If Victoria was here then...." Jasper brought up everyone sparked up with that assumption. "She was after Kalahari!" Emmett filled in, Alice stopped them "He was okay. I can smell him, he walked out. I can't see him well because he is a sorcerer, but he was still human. I can see a blurred vision of him, surrounded by green.....that's it. I think he's laying in the grass."

Benjamin tried tracking Kalahari's scent, but due to the rain it stopped as soon as it went outside.

(That's the next chapter. Hope you liked the twist. I'm thinking of keeping him with memory loss for one more chapter and then bringing in Benjamin's new imprint. Don't be mad for what happened, it's what Twilight won't tell you. Messing with werewolves and vampires is some tricky business. Review at jessiemkay@Yahoo.com)
