Blue, Bea and Cheryl are preparing dinner when Gervais arrives back with Ocean and Chris.

"How was your first day?" Blue asks Chris.

"So, so. I mostly tried to sort out her paperwork, scanning documents all day. Still it was really useful as I will have all that to do, or at least instruct someone to do it if I ever have my own practice." Chris says.

"How were things for you Gervais? I am so sorry about telling Saul the way I did." Blue says.

"It's fine. I didn't do anything wrong. You didn't do anything wrong. Brian was the one caught with his pants down, in the office, on work time. I don't think I was the only one who saw, or at least heard them. Jeremy called me in and formally offered me a job for after graduation. I said I'd think about it. I still think I would rather work with Heidi but Jeremy told me to think about having a scheme in work where we have apprentices with additional needs and I can come up with a proposal." Gervais says.

"That is super positive." Blue says.

"He also said something about being wrong about Robin and suggesting I send him in for an interview too. Gervais says.

"No poaching my staff." Blue grins.

"Is he coming for dinner?" Gervais asks.

"No he has a date with Ella. Tad and Ollie are official now." Blue says.

"Oh how wonderful. Ollie needs someone like Tad in his life, someone who will put him first." Cheryl says.

"I like it. I miss Tad and Larry." Ocean says.

"I will invite them now. Mike too if that's okay with you?" Blue asks.

"That would be lovely." Cheryl smiles.

Tad readily accepts and asks if Ollie can come too. They arrive with a couple of cakes which brings a big smile to Andy's face.

"Oh Tad if I didn't have Spence I would be so jealous of you." Andy grins.

"Larry I am so sorry about Brian." Blue says as he comes through with Mike.

"Its fine. I think I want something more balanced next time. Thank Will for telling me when you speak to him." Larry says.

"Sure." Blue says and gives his friend a hug.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was giving Brian a chance to do it himself first." Gervais says.

"Oh boys it doesn't matter. Larry is fine. Brian is gone and most importantly all your friendships are intact." Mike says moving the talk along from breakups.

"Yeah I love you all and am just happy that I was told and able to decide what to do for myself. I'll be back at school soon anyway and can look for someone then." Larry says.

"You can date Gervais." Ocean says with an impish grin.

"We might have a dinner or two." Gervais says and Larry smiles.

"Yay" Ocean says.

"You're in a good mood today. Was training good even without Will and Spence?" Blue asks.

"It was cool we had games all day, it was fun. We are having fun camp for two weeks." Ocean says.

"And I'm paying full rate for that?" Cheryl asks.

"Can I stay home with you? I want to go fishing." Ocean asks.

"I want to take you. Hey Gervais has Wednesday off for his birthday." Blue says.

"I love the idea. Fishing and a picnic. Katelyn you want to come?" Gervais asks.

"Yes please." Katelyn grins.

"Me too." Larry and Andy say.

"Sounds like a plan. Tad? Ollie?" Gervais asks.

"Can I take the day off?" Ollie asks.

"Yes." Blue and Cheryl say.

"We should invite Nick too." Blue says.

"As long as he doesn't bring Brian." Larry says.

"Sure. I'll ask him and Robin and Ella." Gervais says smiling.

"And Jane too." Ocean says.

"Of course." Gervais says and Ocean grins.

"How is momma?" Chris asks cautiously.

"Angry and frustrated." Roe says.

"You've seen her?" Blue asks.

"Yes, Katelyn and I have moved over today. We can't put our lives on hold for her. The police are being useless. Randolf and a local criminal lawyer are doing what they can but it is too slow going." Roe says.

"You can stay here. I know it is not easy to live with us but we can behave." Blue says.

"I want to be settled and we both love Abby's place. It is perfect for us. Smaller than here but when it is just the four of us it will be just the right size. Ocean and I are sharing a room for now, which is fun." Katelyn says.

"I am so proud of you. Not many teen girls would be happy to share." Andy says.

"Ocean and I are best of friends." Katelyn says and Ocean beams. He wishes he was living in his room in Blue's house but he also loves his new home and knows it will be like a real family having his mom and Roe as parents and Katelyn as a sister is going to be great. Especially as he knows he can still visit Blue any time he wants to.

"I'm glad things are working out. Is momma mad at you for moving?" Blue asks.

"Oh she's spinning it as if it was her idea in the first place." Roe says rolling her eyes.

"Do you want to come fishing with us on Wednesday? You could just come and paint." Gervais asks.

"I think I would love to. I need to find work though. Cheryl and I plan to share a home and know we have a year to save before you guys will want to start renovations." Roe says.

"Your job is raising me and being an artist. You have sacrificed so much for me, I will cover our living expenses. Won't I Andy?" Katelyn asks.

"I think that we will find somewhere for the four of you to live and your share will come out Of your trust. But Roe needs more than taking care of you in her life and will want to contribute to day to day costs. Blue and I would appreciate any gardening or farming help when I'm away. Although we can't pay in much more than food." Andy says.

"Talk to Abby about classes at the community center. I know the group I teach yoga to would be happy if the cost was low. The home schooling group would appreciate a class too. That would be something." Blue says.

"That is exactly what I need, like you with the yoga a couple of private clients alongside the classes go a long way. But I need to get something to bring money in now." Roe says.

"You know I can give you a few shifts in the deli. It isn't charity, it is freeing me up to be with Ocean." Cheryl says.

"I know, I know and I think we all here believe in communal living to an extent. I know I'll be contributing. I just want some independence too. It will take time to build up a business of sorts." Roe says.

"How is Birch's work coming along?" Blue asks curious about his ex. He is never sure how much he loved Birch and how much he loved his talent.

"Incredible. Truly. I know the retreat has always had yoga at its core but if Birch makes it his home then it could become a mecca for artists. Birch has so much talent but he is still so teachable and drank up what I could give him and has grown so much in the last year from college too. I'll show you some photos of his work later." Roe says.

"He is doing a set of 24 pictures of the lake at each hour of the day. They are so beautiful. He works so fast when he gets an idea and just works and works. I hope he gets to have a proper exhibition of them." Katelyn says.

"I remember him in obsessive mode. I would make him stop to eat or shower and he'd have no memory of that the next day." Blue says with a small smile.

"I know you're a natural care giver but you would have gone insane with that long term." Bea says.

"I know. But it was a relationship that put me on the path to Will. He's just as talented and focused and yet he makes a lot of time for me and makes sure I'm nurturing my talents too." Blue says.

"You are so much happier. It was hard to watch you shrink with Birch." Chris says.

"It was a hard time for all of us with Jesse." Blue says.

"It was. We survived this year. I finally make it to 21 this week. I will always miss my dad my birthday week. When we go fishing 1 think we should mark my parents passing in some way. I don't want to bring the mood down and I want it to be all me at the weekend when we go out. I kinda think how things started to change between me and my dad when I started climbing and camping and though we never managed to build a real relationship, before his last deployment we were closer to building one than we ever had been. We were finding common ground and I think we might have had a fishing trip together if he had ever come home. I like to think he and my mom spent time outdoors together when they were first married, it fits the picture I have of her." Gervais says and there isn't a dry eye around the table.

Ocean moves round and sits in Gervais lap and hugs him tightly.

"We will have a special day." Ocean says and kisses his friend.

"We will." Gervais says quietly.

"I'll see if I can come too. I know we're not close Gervais but I'm always here for you." Mike says.

"Thanks. I bet you know the best places too." Gervais says.

"I can't give away my secret spots. But I am certain your dad would be so proud of who you have become. All you boys have been a joy to have around this summer. All of you are working for yourselves and for others without any prompting. You are a fine example to the community and I know that would mean a lot to a man like your dad who gave his life for his country." Mike says.

"Thanks Mike. Sometimes I hate him so much I don't care what he would have thought and other times I miss him and hope I'd make him proud. He left me to rot and I have worked hard to try and forgive him but it's hard." Gervais says and Ocean wipes his tears.

"Well a good day off for us all communing with nature and celebrating Gervais birthday as a family, will be wonderful. We've none of us made use of being in the country this summer. And Gervais we all love you very much and we all care for you. You need to know that we will be there for your big moments and would never, ever leave you to rot." Cheryl says and Gervais blushes.

"Oh we are all going to cheer at your graduation next summer." Katelyn grins.

"I hope they don't clash and we can get to them all." Blue says with a grin.

"If you can't Robin's family will be at mine." Gervais says.

"Gervais I will skip mine to go to yours. No way are you having no one there." Andy says and Gervais smiles.

"And we will make the biggest ever cake for Andy." Ocean says.

Later when the group are doing dishes Blue asks Roe to sit and chat with him.

"Did Cheryl tell you about the weirdness with Heidi's ordering?" Blue asks.

"No." Roe says and Blue explains everything.

"Do you think that could have been Momma? I can't see how it would be Lana because she didn't know that the deli and bakery were connected and it started before she showed up." Blue says.

"I don't think you mother would bother with petty shit like that. She quite likes Heidi too." Roe says.

"But you're not discounting it being connected." Blue says.

"You seem to think it is. I can see why. Heidi not making a fuss made them escalate maybe. I am worried Blue but I'm not sure it is you being targeted." Roe says.

"It feels personal." Blue says.

"Because you expect it to be directed at you." Roe says.

"That's true. How awful. I need to have higher expectations again." Blue says.

Gervais is jerking off in the shower rapidly to try and prevent getting hard in bed with Blue. It is so difficult with Will away and Blue feeling down, all Gervais wants to do is physically comfort Blue and he can't, mustn't.

Blue is slowly stroking his big dick, showing off his full length to Will who is exhausted but enjoying the show very much. Will loves Blue's body head to toe, misses it like crazy and is determined to ensure Blue knows how much he is desired, even when he can't be there.

"Looking so good babe, show me that smile too." Will grins and Blue smiles, throws his head back, groans and covers his body in cum.

Across the hall Andy is in control of the vibrator Spence is using and is driving his fiancé wild with the teasing. The pair are so happy and having such fun that they barely feel the distance.

Out in a field near on Abby's farm Cheryl and Mike have just finished.

"Marry me Cheryl. You don't need to fight this." Mike says.

"I miss women." Cheryl admits.

"So we'll invite women into our bed." Mike says.

"I can't ask that of you." Cheryl says.

"I would do anything to make you happy. I love you and you love me." Mike says.

"I don't know." Cheryl says.

"Yes you do, you're just scared. No pressure. Just don't throw me away over something so easily fixed." Mike says.

"Thanks Mike. I do love you." Cheryl says and Mike smiles, hoping he's broken back through.

In Gervais's bed Larry is giving Chris an almighty pounding. Chris has been without all summer and Larry's thick dick is exactly what he needs. Larry is happy to get all his tension out and is using Chris like he's a sex toy and Chris is more than willing.

"You done." Gervais asks Blue while poking his head round the door.

"Yeah Will fell asleep straight after, I felt bad keeping him awake." Blue says.

"He didn't fall asleep during." Gervais says.

"No he didn't. And I have you here for the after cuddles." Blue grins.

"You do. Are you okay?" Gervais asks.

"Just worried. I don't want anyone to get hurt because of me. Roe pointed out it might not be me anyone is after." Blue says.

"That's true. Someone could be out to get Heidi, Cheryl or Marsha. There might just be an arsonist about or a scheming serial killer laying his plans. We don't know and we can't do anything about it. Just watch out for each other." Gervais says.

"When did you get so wise?" Blue asks and snuggles Gervais closer.

"When I took my head out my ass and started to count my blessings." Gervais says.

"You need to help me remember how. I used to see the good in everything and now I just see the bad." Blue says.

"You see the good in your friends. I'm glad things are settled with Cheryl. I think we can put things down to her break up with Mike. Though why she dumped him I have no clue. I bet your mother was behind it." Gervais says.

"I expect so. They were so cute at dinner, stealing glances at each other." Blue says.

"Tonight was lovely. Thanks for my birthday plans. I am excited for the club on Friday but I really love the idea of a day out with everyone." Gervais says.

"Me too. It feels just right." Blue says.

"You are very comfy to lie on." Gervais says.

"You still fit just right." Blue sighs.

"But you love Will." Gervais says.

"I do. I hope that I'm not doing to you what you did to me when you dated Jesse the first time." Blue says.

"No, you're keeping clear lines and not giving me false hope. I was such a shit then. Three years later and I am someone else entirely." Gervais says.

"I always knew who you would be." Blue says.

"You really did." Gervais says, kisses his friend and drifts off dreaming of the life he can't now have.
