After Bosworth Field: The Philosophy of the Seabrook Brotherhood

The Philosophy of the Seabrook Brotherhood,
as set down, in 1487, by Mitchell Seabrook I (1463-1518)

All the members of the Seabrook Brotherhood are queer, or bisexual.  Men may enjoy having sexual relations with boys and men over the age of 11.  Boys, over the age of 8, but under the age of 12, may have sexual relations with other boys who are no more than 21-years-of-age.  Boys younger than 9 may only explore their sexual development with other boys, or girls, who are no older than 14 years-of-age.  We reject all sexual philosophies that include physical harm and cruelty, sexual violence, and the use, unless mutually agreed, of any position, for penetration, where the two lovers are not facing each other, during such intercourse.  We are true lovers of boys and men, not users and abusers.  We always face the boy, or man, to whom we are making love.  It is to be noted that we do not use the word fuck; we make love to boys, and men, because we love them, we never simply fuck them.  We also engage in a long period of foreplay, before proceeding to any form of penetrative intercourse, be it in the mouth or up the arse.  We also respect the words, No, Stop, Wait, Bad Man and other similar words.  If a boy, or man, says No or Stop, or other negative words about what is happening, we pull out immediately and comfort and cuddle our lover as best as we are able.  It may be that the boy, or man, then asks to have another go, but the person being penetrated (the bottom) is always the person who is in control, never the penetrator (the top).

The details of all sexual activity, by members of the Seabrook Brotherhood, are privy to members of the Seabrook Brotherhood, not even their wives may know the details.  On the occasion of a boy’s initiation, into the Brotherhood, on their twelfth birthday, by their father, they shall wear, from their morning rising, a special, multi-coloured, cloak over an otherwise completely naked body. When penetrated for the first time, by an adult, a boy’s backside shall be raised by being lain upon a red and green pillow, and the boy shall lay on his back, with his legs lifted over his initiator’s shoulder, so that the top and bottom may easily look into each other’s eyes; such a position during sodomy tends to ensure that both lovers may readily gauge each other’s bodily responses, to what is happening.  The person, who initiates a boy, shall be their father, or a, close as possible, blood relative of the boy, if the father is already dead,  After such initiation, the initiator shall comfort the boy, and, once the boy has ceased any crying that may have occurred, the boy shall be presented with a Seabrook Brotherhood ring, which is to be placed on the middle finger of his left hand.   After the ring has been so placed, the boy shall be presented with special new 12th birthday clothes and the cloak returned to his shoulders.  The initiator shall then read this document, to the boy, and present him with a copy of it.  After this, the boy shall i) hug and kiss the initiator and thank him for initiating him into queerdom and ii) promise to keep the Seabrook Brotherhood traditions alive and secret.
