Chapter 4: The Ordeal

Freshman year is going well for me at Meadowdale High School, but I am starting to stress about a couple of midterms later this month in October. Mainly for math, though on the bright side, I am still getting 90% or above on all the quizzes. On the other hand, I have been looking forward to my Order of the Arrow Ordeal. The Order of the Arrow (OA) is scouting’s National Honor Society and Evan and I were tapped out during a ceremony at Camporee in May. I consider it a great honor, and my older brother Nick is also in the OA. The only other scout called up in my troop at the time coming this weekend is Brandon, who is the Assitant Patrol Leader of Black Window Patrol right now.

Nick has been reassuring me not to let it stress me out, and that it’s as much of a mental exercise as it is physical. He’s an Assistant Scoutmaster (ASM) like my dad now, but Issiquah is in another council, so I don’t see his troop much. I’ve learned a fair bit from him about what will happen, but there are just some things I will have to experience myself.

It’s been a challenge for Evan to juggle school, rowing, and scouts. He almost couldn’t make it this weekend to do the ordeal with me. However, once called up he has to complete his ordeal within a year, and the next chance after this to do the ordeal with our lodge is in April, which would be even worse for him with rowing.

I had to wash Evan’s sleeping bag after ‘using’ it for another two weeks as well as my royal blue adidas dazzle basketball shorts that were starting to look nasty with our cum. I told my mom not to wash the bag inside out because I didn’t want her to see what I was doing to the inside. She said that didn’t make any sense, but I told her there was something I spilled on the outside.

With Evan’s freshly washed sleeping bag on my pack and the rest of my gear, both of us are sitting in his dad’s big Lexus SUV on the drive back up to Fire Mountain Scout Reservation for the ordeal wearing our Class A uniforms on a Friday afternoon. This will be my first ever scouting activity without my dad present because my dad is not a member of the OA and Evan’s dad insisted he drive us up so my dad can have the weekend off until Sunday morning to pick us up.

“Do you guys want to grab something to eat before I drop you off?” Evan’s dad, Lawrence, asks as we near the exit to camp. “There has to be a McDonald’s or something here.”

Evan and I chuckle. We both know we’re already next to the middle of nowhere and the nearest Starbucks from camp is a good 20-minute drive away. In a pinch, my dad would grab something from a small Mexican place at the gas station off the interstate, but you always would have to be careful with what you order, otherwise, you might spend Friday night at camp on the toilet. Evan learned that the hard way last year, and I remember that’s the one time I refused to sleep in his sleeping bag.

“There’s a decent Mexican place in Conway, just turn left at the stop sign and go into Chevron,” I tell Lawrence.

Lawrence pulls into the gas station to fill up and tells us he will meet us inside. Evan is a bit of a foodie, put anything in front of him and he’ll at least try it, but he plays it safe with quesadillas. I order tacos and for some reason, Evan insists on paying for my food. I think his dad must have put him up to it to try to pay my dad back for all the times he took Evan and me out after scouts.

As he walks into the small restaurant, I can’t help but laugh at the expression on Lawrence’s face when he sees the handwritten menu board with pictures on neon poster paper. While Evan and I are familiar with this place, his dad must be out of his element here, and the only thing he orders is a cold can of Coke before sitting down with us.

“Are you sure you guys are going to be OK?” Lawrence asks with a worried look on his face. “You can call me if you think they’re going to start hazing you.”

Evan rolls his eyes. “We have to give you our phones before we check in. It’ll be nothing like that! Nick told Ben what to expect, right Ben?

“Yep,” I nod my head as I finish my Taco. “There will be some ceremony but nothing too intense.”

Lawrence is more involved in Evan’s and Liam’s life than his mom who is pretty high up in her corporate job. He’s not exactly a house husband since he has a well-paying job too, but it’s Lawrence who has to drive us around when my dad doesn’t. I learned about digital photography and how to fly a drone from Lawrence because he’s a major technophile. The thought of Evan having no phone for the weekend seems to scare Lawrence more than Evan.

“Okay, it’s just that since Steven isn’t with you guys this time I have a lot more questions than the sheet they gave us parents,” Lawrence says finishing his Coke. “I’m ready when you guys are, I’m guessing you don’t want to be late either.”

Evan nods his head and I try to reassure Lawerence again. “You can talk to the people running it when you drop us off. Nick can also tell you what he told me, you have his number right?”

“Yeah, okay, I trust you to look out for Evan this weekend too. You guys are in it together.” Lawrence gets up and we clean off our table like all good scouts are obligated to do.

I feel more weight on my shoulders as we climb into the Lexus for the short drive on the backroads to camp. I know I’m 8 months Evan’s senior and his patrol leader, but Lawrence has put a lot of confidence in me knowing that I’m the only person he’s familiar with that is going to be with Evan. After talking with Nick though, I know there won’t be much time for us to be together alone this weekend until the conclusion of the Ordeal Ceremony.

After we pull up into the camp parking lot and jump out, Lawrence gives us a heartfelt hug and a final word of advice. "Just remember, you're both strong and capable young men, they are lucky to have you guys here too." Lawrence's voice cracks with emotion, and Evan and I hand him our phones to take home. He wanders away to talk to other parents gathered around the welcome board as Evan and I put on our packs and walk up to the administration building.

Camp feels eerie and quiet in October without the troop and my dad present. I almost want to reach out and hold Evan’s hand as we walk down the gravel path, but my hands are glued to my side in apprehension. Nick asked one of his old friends in the OA Lodge, and they’re expecting around 32 candidates at this Fall Ordeal, but likely the only other person we’ll know is Bran.

We reach the administration building to sign in. An older Life Scout, who, from his customized troop number patch reveals he’s from Everett, goes through our packs and pulls out the royal blue Nike America vintage nylon soccer shorts I brought to sleep in.

He holds them up and gives me a coy smile as Evan and the other Eagle Scout checking us in look at them. Luckily they are clean, but I only brought them because they are Nick’s old soccer shorts from when he played, and I wanted a piece of him to keep me company here, even when I couldn’t talk to him, should I need his support.

I clear my throat and the Life Scout puts the shorts back in my pack. I’m now popping a boner in my scout pants all thanks to him. He is moderately good-looking, Hispanic, with brown eyes, mid-length black hair, and somewhat of a tall athletic build.

“Welcome Ben and Evan,” The Eagle Scout seated at the table says. “I’m Lane, Vice-Chair of the Lodge for Admin and this is David, Vice-Chair for Inductions. You’ll meet the Ordealmaster when we start sharp at 7.

I look at my watch and it’s just after 6:30. David pushes my pack back towards me and grins. “Guess you play soccer too, huh, Ben?”

Nodding my head, I don’t correct him out of embarrassment. This check-in I just had to go through has me more red-faced than anything  Nick said this weekend would entail. Evan and I carry our packs to the dining hall quietly, then sit down next to Bran at a table.

“Hey Bran, you doing good?” I ask him. Brandon was breathing heavily and almost didn’t notice us when we sat with him. He’s a First Class scout just like us, a junior at Lynnwood High School, with curly light brown hair, brown eyes, slightly chubby, and pasty white skin.

Bran looks up at us, his eyes red and tired. “I’m nervous,” He admits. “I couldn’t sleep last night because of this and now everyone’s talking about how intense it is.”

Evan pats him on the back. “Don’t worry, man,” He says. “They wouldn’t have called us out if they didn’t think we were ready for this. Ben’s brother is an OA member at this lodge and he said it’s nothing we can’t do, right Ben?”

“Is your brother here then?” Bran asks.

“No,” I shake my head. “Nick and his girlfriend are down in Napa on a winetasting trip they had planned for a long time. I’ve been talking to him all week though, and he says we have nothing to worry about. Just do everything you are instructed to do and you’ll get through it.

Bran shoots his head back up and nods. “Okay, maybe we’ll be lucky and they’ll put us all in the same group?”

“Here’s hoping.” I cross my fingers in front of Bran and see an older Eagle Scout, probably in his early 20s make his way to the front of the room. He introduces himself as Adam our Lodge Chief, and is going to be our Ordealmaster.  His voice booms throughout the dining hall, commanding everyone's attention. Adam’s blonde hair is in a tidy high-and-tight, and he's wearing a well-worn OA sash over his scout shirt.

"Hey candidates," Adam addresses us. "I know you're all excited, but we've got a lot to cover before we start. We'll be going over the rules and expectations for the weekend, as well as an introduction to your lodge and the OA. So, if you could all get closer, we'll get started. After I finish speaking and address any questions you might have, you will be split into your crews to meet your Elangomat. We’ll have a small cracker barrel before we start the pre-ordeal ceremony. Your 24-hour vow of silence will start as soon as you leave this dining hall.”

We all oblige by squeezing together on the tables closest to him and Adam begins to speak again. "Welcome to the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society of Scouting. This is a great honor, and I'm proud to have each of you here. Remember, the Ordeal is meant to be physically and mentally challenging. It's not about how you can endure the hunger, exhaustion, cold, or the elements, but how well you can work with your fellow candidates and show your Scout spirit."

He continues talking about the history of the OA and our lodge and the rules we need to follow here since this is not a regular campout. Evan and I listen intently, taking in every word. We exchange glances occasionally, sharing a look of determination and excitement. We're about to embark on an adventure that few scouts get the chance to experience - becoming Arrowmen.

After he finishes speaking Adam asks if anyone has questions. Bran’s arm shoots up. “What’s the earliest we can leave on Saturday night?”

I flash Bran a disappointed look, Evan and I are in this for the long haul and Bran is embarrassing our troop by signaling to everyone he wants to leave as soon as possible.

“Your parents are free to collect you at 10:15 PM tomorrow. Any earlier than that they won’t be let out of the parking lot unless you decide you are leaving yourself. Got it?” Adam replies.

Bran nods his head and Adam scans the room for any other questions. With no one else’s hand up, David hands him four sheets of paper. Adam starts calling out names and Evan gets called for the first crew. I struggle to contain my disappointment when Adam starts reading names for the second crew. I’m not in that one but I hear ‘Benjamin Smedstad - Troop 165’ followed by ‘Brandon Klopper - Troop 165’ for the third crew.

Okay, I think to myself. We aren’t all going to be together but I can hopefully be there for Brandon, as it seems he doesn’t have much of a clue of what to expect compared to me. He went up through Cub Scouts with us, but he’s not as close of a friend of mine as Evan. Our Elangomat or essentially a Patrol Leader for my ordeal introduces himself. His name is Sean from Troop 86 in Marysville. Sean must be at most 15, a Star Scout, and he says it’s his first time serving as an Elangomat. He has dark brown hair in a bird’s nest, light blue eyes, and a short, thin frame. I’m only guessing his age because Sean does look pretty young with his cute face only marked by some freckles over his nose and he can’t be that much older than me.

My crew of 8 candidates get brief introductions amongst each other over the cracker barrel. I spot Evan trying to load up on some deli meat, but his Elangomat admonishes him quietly by grabbing Evan’s hand, shaking his head, and pointing at his stomach.

Before we know it, David comes back into the dining hall to tell everyone we’re about to start the pre-ordeal ceremony. David isn’t in his uniform anymore, but in black dress pants, a black t-shirt, and his OA sash, with a medallion around his neck. I gulp, knowing this is it, I won’t be able to speak to anyone for the next day. I'm about to join the Order of the Arrow, and this experience will shape me as a leader and a person.

My crew follows Sean out to the ceremony setup for us. Given the secretive nature of the OA, I can’t describe it beyond what Nick told me, other than it relates a lot to what we just went over in the dining hall. All of the other senior lodge members are dressed similarly to David, and more lodge members are running this ordeal than we had met in the Admin Building or Dining Hall.

After the ceremony, we collect our packs back in the Dining Hall. Most of the lights are off in the building and our stuff is lined up against a wall. I’ve lost track of Evan now and I can’t even give him back his Cat’s Meow sleeping bag that is freshly washed for him in my Kelty stuff sack.

I’m unable to wait around for Evan as Sean leads my crew away from the main part of camp with his one flashlight, Bran grabs my hand as we walk quietly behind Sean. When we finally stop, Sean takes Bran by the arm first, Sean then points to the ground with a finger, points at his wristwatch, and walks away with Bran. The seven of us are left waiting for Sean to come back and Sean repeats the process until I’m the 2nd to last candidate to be taken alone.

Sean leads me away from the last person in my crew for what can’t be more than 2 minutes. We stop and he points at the sleeping bag on my pack, then makes a sweeping motion across his chest with his hand held out flat. I get down on my knees and he shines the light on me as I detach the stuff sack from my pack. I look up and he again does the sweeping motion across his chest with his hand and lowers his hand down slowly pointing to the ground. I nod my head and take out the brand new small tarp from Harbor Freight my dad bought me this week. Sean nods his head approvingly and turns around to leave me alone in the dark. I watch the flashlight walk back, stop, then veer off to my left.

My eyes slowly adjust to the night and I realize I’m starting to shiver in the October chilly breeze. I rip open the tarp, taking care to put the plastic back in my pack, and lay it out at my feet, followed by my Thermarest and Evan’s sleeping bag. With my bed set, I take off my boots, crawl into the sleeping bag to remove my uniform, and put on the Nike soccer shorts.

I can’t help but wonder if Evan is upset with me for not giving back his new bag yet and he has to sleep in mine, then again he could have just taken his old bag or grabbed Liam’s new bag which he said is the same one. After putting my uniform back in my pack, I lay back in the Cat’s Meow clad only in Nike soccer shorts, my AE underwear beneath them, and a white REI t-shirt. I zip myself up from the inside and cinch the mummy bag’s cord over my face. Feeling myself getting aroused being fully encased in Evan’s bag, I have to admit, this is pretty warm and cozy, and I start to doze off quickly in the nylon cocoon surrounding my scanty-clad body sleeping under the stars.

A gentle nudge on my shoulder wakes me up and I open my eyes to the morning light. It’s Sean wearing a Seahawks shirt splattered with red paint streaks and light brown Carhartt work pants. He hands me a folded-up piece of paper, points at his shirt, and holds up his hands covered in thick yellow leather work gloves. I nod my head to him, and after he leaves I quickly change into one of Nick’s old soccer tournament t-shirts and a pair of old loose Wrangler jeans.

Sean gathers us up again and we realize we weren’t sleeping that far from each other. For breakfast in the dining hall, we are given one hard-boiled egg and a piece of toast with nothing on it. I run into Evan as I go to sit down with my crew, but all we can do is politely nod to each other. Sitting beside Bran, I look at him, and he appears mildly better than last night. I rest my cheek on my open palm to him, briefly close my eyes, and then nod to look at him. Bran smiles and nods too.

After we’ve finished the quick breakfast, all the crews follow Adam along the road out of the camp to the maintenance yard behind the Ranger’s house. Evan’s crew looks to be given some power tools, hand saws, and drills, and they all march off back in the direction of camp with them. Sean hands me a sanding block, a wire brush, and a dust mask. Most of my other crew members are given similar sanding blocks, but we are given one shovel and a rake. I frown not expecting what to do next, whatever Evan’s crew is doing it looks to be a more interesting task.

Adam leads Sean and my crew to the huge customized iron front gates of the camp. They’ve always been left open every time I’ve been up here, but now that I am looking at them up close I can see a lot of the black paint is peeling off. It’s obvious now what we are here to do, but Sean uses his block to demonstrate. Bran and I start standing down the huge tall gate with four other candidates, while the two others start weeding and cleaning up the landscaping around the gate and sign.

As we start working, the sun begins to rise higher in the sky, and I can feel myself breaking out in a sweat. I start to cough and Sean touches the mask I have dangling out of my pocket as a signal to put on. With the mask on, my stomach starts to grumble and I’m relieved when I see Sean tap Bran on the shoulder and make a motion with his hand to put something in his mouth. I look back at our work and it seems we are mostly done on one side of the gate; so the other side we can finish in the afternoon.

In the dining hall, we are fed the leftovers from the cracker barrel last night for lunch and can refill water bottles in the water fountains. Lunch lasts an hour, but there’s not much else to do after I eat but catch my breath and reflect on my ordeal. Some of the other crews have paint on their hands already, so I wonder how much progress we’ve made with our project compared to them.

Back at the gate, we see the Camp Ranger’s Gator vehicle with a big compressor in the back. He points at Sean when we approach and says “Elangomat!” and hands Sean a roll of painter’s tape as he leads him to the raised entrance keypad. Sean nods his head and hands me the tape to deal with the detailed work of sanding down the pole and around the keypad.

With one gate finished, the ranger sets down some canvas sheets and starts up his compressor to spray paint the side we’ve done. At least it’s downwind from us and I help the rest of the crew sand down the remaining gate after I finish the pole. The ranger gives us a thumbs-up before he drives off to help Adam check on the other crews.

As we reach the end of the work day my clothes are getting wet with sweat and my arms are becoming sore even with switching between hands. I look at the freshly painted gate glistening in the afternoon sun and feel immensely proud that everyone passing by will see this for years to come and I’ll be reminded of my Ordeal every time I come to camp. Nick was right. I had nothing to be afraid of, and I can’t wait to show him my sash and patch to match his. I can only hope Bran regrets his attitude to go home so soon, but I know it’s mostly from his parents who are deeply religious and restrict him from doing a lot of Sunday activities.

With our hard labor at an end, my crew return the tools to the maintenance shed and follow Sean to where we stowed our packs. Sean takes out his scout shirt and a towel, then points at the dining hall and his analog Timex Expedition watch to the 6 at the bottom. To make it even more clear, he holds up six fingers and points at the dining hall again. All of us nod our heads and start getting ready for dinner and the ceremony after that.

Bran follows me to the closest shower house and we take stalls next to each other. I’m still not allowed to talk, but I use the time to reflect on the day alone. My body aches, and my stomach is empty, but I feel content and accomplished. I can’t wait to talk to Evan about his day and what his final thoughts are about finally becoming Arrowmen.

Now clean, I quickly change into my uniform, ready to don my new OA sash at the ceremony. I don’t think I’ve ever been this proud to wear this shirt, and probably the only thing I think that might eclipse this for me is my own Eagle Court of Honor.

After exiting my stall, I glimpse Sean shaving at one of the outside sinks. He has a towel wrapped over his chest and is shirtless, but in his scout pants. I thought I was only attracted to jocks, but Sean’s smooth hairless chest has me questioning that. Seeing the Joe Boxer waistband teases me with what’s under his pants. I just find him overwhelmingly cute, his soft gentle face with his small button nose almost makes him look younger than me.

I stand beside him, pretending to adjust my uniform in the mirror. He pauses and looks at me, his eyes drawn to my shoulder. Looking at my Patrol Leader patch, he touches it and I feel my cock twitch in my Hanes microfiber briefs. He gives me a thumbs-up and points to himself. I don’t remember the position he is in his troop, but I assume he’s saying he’s a Patrol Leader too.

Sean then winks at me, his eyes gleaming with a twinkle of mischief. I can't help but smile back, feeling a sudden warmth spread through my cheeks. As we prepare to join the others for dinner, I think about the day's events and the bond forming among our crew. Little did I know that my Ordeal would lead to unexpected sparks and newfound friendships.

Dinner is finally a regular meal, and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten as many chicken nuggets in one sitting as tonight. We still have to remain silent, but Evan sits with Bran and me. Bran has loaded up his plate with several pieces of Salisbury Steak and the watery gravy threatens to run onto the tray. I sense two people hovering over us and look up. It’s Bryan our SPL and Thomas the OA Representative both wearing their OA sashes and flaps on their uniforms.

“We saw the freshly painted gate on the way in and talked to the Ranger cleaning up. I assume that was one of your crew?” Bryan asks while Thomas puts his finger over his lips to remind us not to speak back.

Bran and I nod our heads.

“Excellent work. I didn’t have any doubt in any of you. We aren’t going to be part of the ceremony, we just came here to support you, and Thomas promised to take me to Burgermaster after!” Bryan chuckles.

Thomas is one of Mr. Park’s sons and is Korean-American. He nods and holds out three OA patches for Lodge #338. “Come see me after the ceremony Brothers.” He says.

All three of us nod silently and Bryan and Thomas leave us to have dinner. I barely have room for dessert, but I force-feed myself the Rice Krispy squares on my tray. Sean collects Bran and me for the ceremony, leaving Evan to wait for his Elangomat.

The Ordeal ceremony is clouded in even more secrecy than last night’s ceremony and I’m not at liberty to discuss it again. The only thing that might even get close to hazing is when they loosely tied one of my hands with rope. I feel a wide range of emotions when it’s finally over, and I run my fingers through the white cloth sash draped over me. Very few scouts get to wear this and I feel incredibly proud and grateful for the opportunity.

Thomas finds me and gives me a pat on the back. “I’ll see you Monday,” He says handing me one of the flaps. “I think you can talk now Brother!”

“Thank you for coming Thomas,” I say, finally finding my voice and taking the patch. Thomas nods his head and wanders off to look for Evan and Bran.

I catch Sean in a quiet corner and have a desire to thank him for his guidance.

“Ben!” He gives me a warm smile as I walk toward him. “Thank you Brother for making my weekend easier than I expected. You were all perfect candidates.”

I have tears running down my cheek as I get closer and he brings me in.

“Brother, this isn’t goodbye,” Sean grins. “We still have until morning, and as your Elangomat I am required to keep in touch with you along your journey. Lane gave me all your contact details, however, if you don’t hear from me this week, my number is on all the books I gave you.” Sean’s words and emotions seem to speak confidence years older than his youthful looks. Maybe one day when talking to him I’ll figure out if he’s straight or not, however, I don’t think that is an appropriate topic to ask him right now.

“Thank you Brother for everything. I’m looking forward to keeping in touch with you,” I try to wipe the tears from my eyes. “If you excuse me I should find Evan, I’ll see you before bed, right Brother?”

Sean nods his head and I mingle around the crowd to look for Evan. I find him with Bran talking to Thomas getting their patches.

“Evan!” I shout after Thomas finishes with them.

“Ben! Finally, we can talk! Evan takes my hand and Bran follows us to the edge of the crowd.

“What did you guys end up doing?” I ask Evan.

“We were replacing the railings on Fort Boeing, You know they have a Halloween thing in there every year, and wood was starting to show splinters.” Evan shrugs. “You guys?”

“The front gate.” Bran and I reply.

“But what do you think of this whole weekend?” I ask again.

“I can’t put it into just one word. It’s been an experience. I wish we all had been together through it, but now we are, we’re Brothers.” Evan's voice trails off as he looks at the two of us, his eyes glinting with a mix of pride and nostalgia.

The three of us are inseparable for the rest of the night until Brandon has to go home. It doesn’t feel like saying goodbye after a weekend camp or even summer camp. I know Evan and I will see him at Scouts Monday night, but we all still tear up as we hug each other after Bran finally has to put his pack on and walk with his mom to the car.

I leave Evan to find his crew as well, maybe I was right, that last time at camp was perhaps the final time we’ll ever get to fool around. I’m one month from turning 15, it feels like I’ve grown so much in just one weekend, and the responsibilities on me are mounting

Sean catches me on the way back to the dining hall and he has all our crew together again, save for Bran. He leads us to one of the camping sites with stents and tells us to settle in for the night. My six other crew members bunk with their troop mates and I’m the odd one out. I don’t feel like intruding on them, even though each stent can accommodate four, so I take the next empty stent.

I pull out my Thermarest and the Cat’s Meow sleeping bag and place it on one of the lower bunks. Evan didn’t ask me for it back when he had the chance, so I assume he’s fine with me sleeping in it again tonight. Sean sees me alone getting the rest of my stuff out of my pack through the open curtain door and steps inside.

“Brother, it looks like your bunkmate went home already. I’ll see what I can do about a replacement.” Sean sits down on my bunk and runs his hands on the soft exterior of the sleeping bag. I feel myself instantly getting hard, imagining him wrapping the same material around my dick just like Evan did before.

“That’s fine,” I reply trying to cover my growing erection with my pack. “I like all the space.”

Sean looks at my name tag, something clicks in his head and he leans forward. “Smedstad, you wouldn’t happen to be related to Nick Smedstad would you?”

“Of course!” I chuckle. “He’s my older brother! He was in my troop too, but right now he’s an ASM with Troop 333 Chief Seattle in Issaquah.”

“Hah!” He snorts. “He was my brother Danny’s Elangomat 8 years ago! Funny how those things work out. Not that I remembered that name from long ago, Danny just told me to look him up after my Ordeal last year.”

“Yeah, I guess it was fate you would be mine then.“ I laugh. “But Sean, can I ask you one thing?”

“Anything, Brother.” He says.

“I don’t want to sound too personal, but how old are you?” I ask.

A wide smile spreads across his face, and I think the question wasn’t that personal at all. “Fifteen,” he replies. “I’m a sophomore at Getchell. How about you?”

“14 and a freshman,” I shrug. “But I’ll be 15 next month. You look so much younger than me though!”

“I guess it runs in my family,” Sean chuckles. “Danny is 23 but doesn’t look a day over 18, he’s always getting carded. Anyway, I’ll talk to Lane and Adam to see if we can get someone in here with you.”

“Thank you, Brother,” I say as Sean gets back up and closes the curtain behind him.

About 10 minutes later I’m in the middle of changing out of my uniform when I hear someone knocking on the wall of the stent.

“Uhm, come in,” I say. “Unless you’re a girl 'cause I don’t have a shirt on.”

Evan opens the curtain and steps in with Adam and Sean standing behind him.

“Quil Ceda Crew had another lone bunker too, looks like he’s in your troop as well!” Adam says with a smile. “Good night Brothers!”

“Good night!” Evan and I reply as Evan closes the curtain door behind him.

“I’m sorry, I wasn’t able to give you your sleeping back bag yet! You can take it back now if you want.” I tell him.

“No worries, it’s yours for the night, I brought Liam’s because you told me we would all be sleeping apart, maybe we can just exchange them at school or something. You did wash it though I hope?” Evan asks as he takes the second Cat’s Meow out of the stuff sack and places it on the bunk opposite mine.

“Yeah, of course, I kinda expected you would grab Liam’s bag!” I chuckle.

“Well, I hadn’t even experienced sleeping in one yet until last night all thanks to you!” He snickers back.

“Hmmm, is there something else you want to experience tonight?” I ask boldly.

“Something like this Brother?” Evan leans forward and suddenly kisses me on the lips. I respond by slipping my tongue inside his mouth and instantly bone up under my scout pants again. I know that he’s using ‘Brother’ in an entirely new context and nothing related to what we discussed on the lake last month. We share an unbreakable bond now, formed over this weekend and at this camp.

I feel him reaching down to my scout pants, undoing my belt buckle and button. My pants fall and I’m left standing in the middle of the stent in my black Hanes underwear. I back away from the kiss and start to unbutton his scout shirt. I see the loose curtain gently flap in a light breeze so I push my pack against the door to try to pin it against the wall in an attempt to give us more privacy. Evan takes off his shirt after he’s fully unbuttoned and I get on my knees to unbuckle him out of his scout pants as well.

Evan’s pants fall, revealing his gray microfiber ExOffico boxer briefs struggling to contain his burgeoning cock. I put my nose to his body and inhale, he just took a shower a couple of hours ago like me, but we both have a light smell of smoke from the flames of the ceremony.

His breathing quickens as I grip the waistband of his boxer briefs, pulling them down slightly to reveal the pink, swollen head of his erection. I lean in closer, taking him into my mouth and slowly working him with my whirly tongue, savoring the taste of him.

Evan gasps and grabs the back of my head, guiding my movements as he thrusts his hips forward. I feel his fingers gently comb through my hair as he loses himself in the pleasure of my mouth.

Our eyes lock for a second when he looks back down at me, a connection more intense than any I've ever felt before. Evan's breath hitches, his body trembling as I continue my dance with his cock. As his passion reaches its peak, Evan's grip on my head tightens, his fingers biting into my scalp. He groans, his voice choked with lust, "God, Ben. I'm going to cum. Fuck, don't stop."

The words send a thrill through me. I want to taste him again, to feel him explode in my mouth. I take him deeper, pressing my tongue against the underside of his throbbing member.

As I feel his cock pulsate in my mouth, I know that the moment is finally here. The air around us seems to thicken, the scent of smoke and arousal nearly overwhelming. My erection, straining against the fabric of my underwear, aches for release.

I redouble my efforts, and my tongue traces the length of Evan's shaft, savoring every inch. In response, he thrusts harder, his hips bucking against me. I know he won't be able to hold back for much longer.

Suddenly, Evan's hips jerk forward, and I feel the first spurt of his cum coat the back of my throat. It's salty and warm, and I savor the taste. As he continues to cum, I swallow hard, taking it all in. It feels like the most intimate and profound experience of my life.

Evan finally releases me from his grasp and stumbles back into my bunk. He starts to take off his socks and I remove mine, before grabbing Liam’s sleeping bag on the other bunk. I laugh as I unzip the second sleeping bag and drape it over us as I climb into the bunk next to him.

He chuckles as he slips himself into his bag and we feel the smooth nylon all around us. Evan pushes himself against the wall to make room for me to lie down on the bunk with him. My mind is running wild, both of us are together in just our underwear, surrounded by the matching sleeping bags.

As I snuggle up next to Evan, I can feel the cool, silky fabric of the nylon enveloping us. His body heat is intoxicating, a comforting warmth that spreads through me like a soothing balm.

Our eyes meet again, and for a moment, time seems to stand still. I swallow hard, my mouth still tasting the remnants of Evan's release. He pulls away the top of the bag and takes my throbbing cock out of my underwear.

Evan's touch sends a shiver down my spine, and I moan softly as he starts to stroke my length. His fingers are warm and gentle, yet firm, and the sensation is overwhelming. I close my eyes and let my head fall back against my Thermarest, savoring the moment.

As Evan's hand moves up and down my shaft, I reach out and thread my fingers through his hair, pulling him closer. Evan's hand picks up speed, his fingers spiraling around my shaft, I know that soon I will reach the point of no return.

The tension in my body builds until I can't hold back any longer. With a cry of release, I spill into Evan's hand, my body shuddering with pleasure. He continues to stroke me gently, milking the last drops of ecstasy from me until I collapse back onto the bunk, breathless and spent.

As he pulls his hand away, I feel a sense of loss as his warmth departs from my skin. With a mess all over myself, I reach down onto the floor and can only grab Evan’s pack because mine is at the door.

Evan sees my predicament that I don’t want to make a mess of Liam’s bag and tries to help. “You can use my old t-shirt to wipe off.” He suggests.

I lean over the bunk and pull out a purple UW Huskies t-shirt. It smells like sawdust and sweat, so I use it to clean off my spunk and throw it back on the floor. With both of us exhausted, I pull Liam’s Cat’s Meow bag back over the top of us and we fall asleep together in my bunk.
