I want to start off by saying that this is a complete and total work of fiction. Sam, the main character, is fictional. I do not know Daniel Radcliffe or any of the other celebrities in this story. I do not know their sexuality either. Please send feedback to rexkwondoe1280@aol.com. Feedback, whether good or bad, is greatly appreciated. Also, if you shouldn't be reading this...leave. I hope you enjoy! "..." = spoken (duh) (...) = thought ============================================================== The bell chimed the minute I pushed the door open. I couldn't see Dan anywhere. I got my coffee, sat down in one of the leather lounge chairs and opened a newspaper on the table next to the chair.

"Anything interesting happen?" Dan asked as he sat down in the chair next to mine.

"Not specifically. Typical stuff." I said, folding the paper and smiling at him.

"How are you doing?" he asked, looking directly into my eyes.

"I'm good, a little tired, but good nonetheless." I answered, looking right back into his eyes.

A weird silence ensued.

"You look like you're evading police." I said, motioning to his sunglasses and hood. "You're a ski mask away from being a suspect in a bank heist."

"You've caught on. Smart." he said, laughing.

"Trying to avoid rabid fans?" I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Desperately." he answered. "I'll be right back, gonna get some coffee."

I nodded and took out my cell phone. I had a text from Cass. I deleted it, and came upon a text message I hadn't seen yet. It was from Zac.

"Hey, uh, i'm gonna be in New York in two days. Would you want to hang out?"

My head screamed "no" but the rest of me said "yes",

"Damn it Zac." I muttered under my breath.

"What?" Dan asked as he sat down and sipped his coffee.

"Huh? Oh, nothing. Just something I have to do at the dance studio. I need to be there at like three. I'll have to leave kind of soon." I said, giving him an apologetic look.

"Oh...well that's alright. Can we meet up later maybe?" he asked.

"Yea, of course. How does eight sound?" I asked, getting up.

We agreed on a time and a place. We said goodbye, and I walked out the door towards my apartment. Once back inside, I changed into workout clothes, put food in Tonks' bowl, and walked back out. The walk to the studio was a short walk, but it gave me enough time to think things out.

I slid a CD into the stereo system. Coldplay's "Fix You" started to play. My body began to move. It felt like I was sweating out the stress. After finishing, I sat on the floor, breathing heavy and looking at my reflection in the mirror directly in front of me.

"That was really good." a voice from the door said.

"Dan! Hey...what're you doing here?" I asked, getting up.

"Cassidy told me where you were." he said, holding up his cell phone and wiggling it.

"Look, i'm sorry about lying to you earlier. I've just got a lot on my mind right now." I said, looking at my feet.

"No, it's alright. I understand, Cassidy told me about it." he said.

"Really? I wish Cassidy would stop telling people things." I said, looking up at him.

"Don't blame her." he said. "Look, maybe I should go, let you finish." he said, turning around and walking towards the door.

I stood and watched him walk towards the door.

"Dan." I called out.

He turned around. My face was an inch away from his.

"Don't go." I whispered.

"What?" he asked.

My lips touched his softly. His hand rested on the back of my head. I pulled back slowly.

"Don't go." I whispered again.

"I won't." he said. ============================================================= That night at eight, we went to dinner. Me, Dan, Cassidy, Emma, and Rupert. It was a place that neither I or Cass could afford, so they were paying for us. Me and Dan didn't talk about what happened at the studio. Neither of us regretted it, we just didn't mention it. I think Rupert noticed something though. He gave me looks.

"I'm just about full." Emma said, wiping her mouth with her napkin.

"Yea me too, let's get out of here." Cassidy said.

Dan and Rupert paid. We all got up and walked out of the restaurant. Cassidy got them a cab, and then we said our goodbyes. Me and Cass walked back to my apartment.

"So, did Dan come to see you at the studio?" she asked.

"Yea, thanks to you. You might want to ask me before you tell people things in the future." I said, giving her a look.

She wrapped her arm around mine. "Mhmm, agreed. But you're welcome."

"For what?"

"I know what happened at the studio." she said.

"So you do have cameras?" I said, joking.

"Dan actually told me earlier. I'm glad. But uh, be careful alright? You just got done with Zac."

"I know Cass."

"He's uh, he's coming to New York in two days." I said after a pause.

"And? Are you planning on seeing him?" Cassidy said.

"I don't know. Maybe. I mean...I don't even know how I feel about him anymore." I said.

"My advice...don't see him." she said.

We walked up the steps to the apartment building. I unlocked it, and we walked up to my apartment. Cassidy was staying the night. We went straight to bathroom, got ready, and went to bed. My mind was somewhere between Dan and Zac. ======================================================= The day Zac was coming to New York, I was excited. Except not for Zac. The dance studio was hosting a party fundraiser for St. Jude's. Celebrities were especially asked to come. Me and Cassidy decided to bring Henry, Dan, Rupert, Emma, Bonnie, and Evanna. The morning before the party, I was on my way to get breakfast with Dan.

As I passed by a magazine stand, I noticed the latest issue of Details. And on the cover of that issue, was a particularly hot looking Dan. I decided I would pick it up.

"Hi, can I get that issue of Details?" I asked the guy.

"Yep. That'll be twelve ninety-nine." he said, handing it to me.

"Thank you sir, have a good day."

I could see the place Dan was meeting me. It looked nice, but affordable. I was glad not to have to rely on Dan to pay for me. I walked in saw him sitting at table in the back. His back was to me.

"Don't you look handsome." I said, dropping the magazine in front of him.

"I don't know. Do I?" he said, smiling at me.

"Mhmm. Very."

"Heh, I was worried about how it would turn out." he admitted.

"It turned out great." I said. "Oh look, the paparazzi found you."

"Bloody hell. It's like they have radar or something."

I opened the magazine and flipped to the pages with Dan. There was a picture of him in a leather vest. I couldn't help myself and laughed. I laughed loud.

"What? What's so funny?" he asked.

"I'm sorry. You just...you look really weird in leather." I said, still laughing.

"Oh shut up. I was supposed to be 'Dirty Harry'." he said.

"I just can't see you being a bad boy."

"Neither can I. I'm too saintly." he said, joking.

"So, you excited for the fundraiser tonight?" I asked him.

"A bit, yes." he said.

"Just a bit? Why not more." I asked.

"Well, I can't really dance." he said.

"Oh please. If you can move your feet, you can dance. You'll do fine." I said. ============================================================= That night at six, me and Cassidy were waiting at the end of the carpet for Dan and the rest. Some celebrities were walking by, camera flashes going off constantly. We greeted the celebrities at the entrance. Once Dan and the others had arrived, we showed them inside. Me and Cass went inside once there were no more guests. Once inside, we were both ushered up on stage.

"Ah here they are! Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce the two people without who this would not be possible!" our instructor said.

We heard cheers and whistling.

"Hi everyone! We just want to say thank you so much for coming. We hope you have a great time!" I said.

"One more thing. Towards the end, there's gonna be a raffle! Tickets cost five dollars and can be purchased at the back. You can win some awesome prizes. Now, let's party for the kids of St. Jude's!" Cass shouted.

The DJ put the music on and the crowd started dancing. Me and Cass walked off the stage and down onto the dance floor. We looked around for Dan and the rest.

"Ooh! There they are!" Cass shouted, pointing at a big table in a corner towards the raffle.

"Hey! How're you guys?" I asked, sitting down and sliding next to Dan.

"We're great! This is great you two! Really, you should be proud." Bonnie said.

"Got enough raffle tickets Rupert?" I asked, looking at his fist-full of tickets.

"I plan to leave with something!" he said, smiling. "Besides, St. Jude's is fifty dollars richer."

"Let's go dance!" Henry shouted over the music.

"You guys go ahead. Me and Sam will get us some drinks!" Emma shouted back.

Me and her got up to go to the bar. I gave her a look. We got back to the table with waters and cokes.

"So. You and Dan, huh?" she said, looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked, looking out towards the dance floor.

"I mean you and Dan." she said again, this time emphasizing the 'and'.

"I don't know. Maybe." I said, smiling at her.

"Well, I like you Sam. And I know the others do too." she said.

"Good to know." I said drinking some water. "Want to dance?"

She nodded her head and we walked onto the dance floor, looking for the others. We eventually ended up bumping into Rupert, who was dancing with Cassidy. His hands were on her hips and her back was to his chest. I wiggled my eyebrows at her. I looked at Dan and laughed. He was just standing there.

"What's wrong? Why are you just standing around?" I asked him.

"I told you...I can't dance." he said, his cheeks a reddish color.

I frowned at him.

"It's easy. Look at Rupert!" I said, pointing.

I grabbed Cassidy, and nudged her towards Dan.

"Alright, now grab her hips, and just follow her lead." (Or you could grab my hips...) I watched them dance. Cassidy pushed herself against Dan, laughed at his face, and then started dancing like she was earlier with Rupert.

"Sam!"

I looked around for the person who called me.

"Sam! Over here!" the voice called from behind me.

"Ashley?" I said, running up to a bubbly-looking Ashley Tisdale.

"Hey!" she yelled, giving me a warm hug.

"Hi! Who are you here with?" I asked.

"Oh, um Zac and Vanessa." she said.

She still had a smile on her face, but it wasn't a bubbly smile.

"Should we not have come?" she asked.

"No, don't be stupid. Everyone's welcome! Have a good time!" I said.

"Alright, i'll talk to you later Sammy!" she said.

We hugged and she walked off. As I turned around I could see Zac sitting at a table in a corner by the DJ. I looked him right in the eyes. His big, beautiful blue eyes. I couldn't stop.

(Sam! Pull it together!)

"Where'd you go?" Henry asked when I got back to where we were.

"Ashley was here. Ashley Tisdale. I went to talk to her." I said.

"Oh, was Zac with her." he asked.

"No. I mean, yes he's here, he wasn't with her though. I saw him." I said.

"Are you...uh, are you ok?" he asked looking concerned.

"Henry...stop treating me like glass. I'm not gonna break alright?" I said, giving him a stern look.

"Yea Henry. Jesus, he's not made of glass." Cass said, laughing at me.

My phone started vibrating in my pocket. It was my older sister.

"Hey Melanie. What's going on?" I asked.

"Uh, hey Sam, listen. Something bad happened. Really bad." she said. Her voice was cracking.

"What's wrong? Are you ok? Mel?" I said, my heart beating harder.

Cassidy gave me a questioning glance.

"Yea, i'm fine. But it's not about me. It's mom. Sammy...mom's dead."

Everything around me exploded into silence. Everything slowed to a halt. My heart stopped beating and a bowling ball-sized lump formed in my throat. I tried to speak but my voice was snuffed out. My world was falling apart.

"What?" I asked, my voice a whisper.

"Sam I can't hear you. Look, I have to go. But the services are in next week on Friday. Bye Sam. I love you."

I shut my phone and put it in my pocket. I wore an expressionless face. I didn't know how to react...neither did my mind. I just stared straight ahead. I could feel tears sliding down my cheeks.

I shut my phone and put it in my pocket. I wore an expressionless face. I didn't know how to react...neither did my mind. I just stared straight ahead. I could feel tears sliding down my cheeks. I told Cass what was wrong and made my way towards the exit. I walked out, turned right and collapsed against the wall.

"Whoa! Sammy! What's wrong??"

It was Zac's voice in my ear. I looked up and saw his big blue's staring back at me. I just shook my head signaling I didn't want to talk about it.

"Sammy...look, i'm taking you home." he said, pulling me up.

I was like dead weight. He helped me over to his car, sat me down in the passengers seat, got in the drivers seat and drove away. I could feel him looking at me. My hands were shaking and my cheeks were irritated from the tears. At some point we reached Zac's house. We got out, him helping me again, and made our way inside. ========================================================== I opened my eyes to a dark room. I could feel cool leather beneath the blanket covering me. I remembered what had happened and instantly felt lonely and broken. It was then that I realized that I was in Zac's house. I got up and looked around the first floor. I figured he was in bed too. I climbed the stairs and went into his room. He wasn't there.

I saw a picture of me and Zac in a car.

"Wow, I remember this." I muttered to myself.

"Me too. That was an amazing day." he said behind me.

I turned my head back to look at him. I gave him a smile.

"Thank you Zac."

"For what?" he asked, bringing his right hand up to scratch his neck.

"You know. For bringing me here and taking care of me." I said as I put the picture down.

"Well I couldn't let you sit on the sidewalk like that. You were a total mess...no offense. You had me real worried man." he said.

A tear slid down my cheek.

"I'm sorry Zac." I said, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Don't be." he said, sitting down next to me and wrapping an arm around me.

I latched onto him and couldn't contain it anymore. Great sobs wracked my body and I was cold. So cold. My entire body was quaking I felt like my body was going to fall apart. The only thing holding me together was Zac. He was rubbing my back and making soothing noises. I must've cried for ten minutes straight. My grip loosened on Zac and my sobs stopped.

He kissed my forehead. I looked up at him, and saw comfort and happiness personified. My lips smashed into his. I heard a sharp intake of breath come from him, and his arms tightened around me. I felt us falling sideways to lay on the bed. He pulled away.

"Sammy. I can't." he said.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"Sam, you have Dan now. And I can't let you do that to him. But listen, if you ever make the choice to come back to me, then i'll be waiting, alright?" he said. "Now go get some sleep."

He said it all with a smile, and I knew he was right. When I went to sleep on his couch that night, my mind was again between Dan and Zac. ================================================================ How was part 2? Tell me negatives/positives (i know someone who most definitely will). Feedback is necessary for part 3. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed!
