Gay

Beyond the Blue, part 17 by lennoxbear@aol.com

The following is an erotic story involving gay relationships and male to male sex. If such offends you, leave.

Bo walked solemnly through the empty house. A feeling of fear filled him at the silence. His wife and children's clothes were gone, many furniture items were missing, some toys remained but the silence was overwhelming. He found the note stuck to the refrigerator by a magnet. His hands trembled as he reached for it and read it through his tears.

"Bo, I love you dearly, but my life does not remain with you. I have chosen to go a different path in life and hope you will come to understand in time. There are so many reasons for what I am doing, please give me time. The kids are with my mother and are safe. I need a few days, then we'll talk."

His hands continued to shake as he dialed his mother in law's number. The phone rang several times before the familiar voice answered.

"Barb?"

"Bo, is that you honey?"

"Yes, are the kids there? Are they OK? Where's Janet?"

"The kids are here and they are fine with me, they're watching TV. I don't know exactly where Janet is. She just said she would call me in a couple of days and that she had to begin a new life for herself. What's happened Bo? Did you two have an argument?"

"No, at least nothing that would warrant her leaving like this. I don't know what any of this means. Do you have any idea where she might be?"

"Not a clue. Did you find anything in the house that might tell you?"

"No, I only got home a few minutes ago, I was at a conference." His voice caught as he lied to a woman who was like his own mother. Can you get the kids off to school tomorrow, do you need my help?'

"No, they'll be fine."

"I'm going to look around here and see if I can find anything. I'll stop by tomorrow to talk with you. Is it OK for the kids to stay there for a few days until we figure this out?"

"My yes, don't worry about them. You need to find Janet and get some answers."

"I know, give them my love and I'll see you in the morning."

"OK dear, you try to get some rest too. You won't be good to anybody if you can't get some rest. Don't worry about the children. Bye."

Bo hung up the phone and stared out the kitchen window. The place had been cleaned out methodically. His wife only took what she wanted and left the rest for him. The address book was gone with phone numbers of their friends and family. But the pre-programmed numbers of some people remained in the phone. He spent an hour calling people with no luck locating his wife. He sat at the kitchen counter still shaking over the whole event. Bo felt his heart break even though he had to admit his life didn't lie with his wife either.

After about two hours of calling around, he finally called his duty officer and called off for the next day. Ron told him not to worry. Steve could handle things himself with overlap from Al and Jim. He needed time to do some things and Ron understood. Ron asked the same questions his mother-in-law had asked and got the same answers.

"But Bo, what about you and, uh, well, you and uh. Never mind, it's none of my business. Do what you have to do and let me know if you need more time. Give me a call tomorrow buddy." Bo looked at the phone when he hung up and wondered if Ron knew about him and Kenny. They had been very careful, or so they thought. He thought of calling Kenny but figured it might make him too cloudy emotionally to think. As he sat at the kitchen counter drumming his fingers with one hand and idly pinching his sensitive nipple with the other, he noticed the indentations of a phone number on the pad next to the phone. He carefully penciled over the number and called it. It was a truck rental company a mile or so away. He listened to the message and hung up. It would be his first stop in the morning.

Al woke up with Jim's arms wrapped around him. It was definitely how he wanted their lives to be together, only not with his wife missing and things crumbling around his new lover. Jim stirred and moved his hands down to find Al's hard nips in the soft fur. Jim's cock was hard and nestled between Al's butt cheeks.

"Come on horndog, we gotta get to work and get to figuring out where your wife went off to this weekend." Jim sighed and squeezed the big cop.

"You're right, as much as I love you, I have to focus on Linda and finding out what is going on here." He jumped out of bed and headed to the bathroom. Before Al could straighten his legs, he heard Jim pissing and groaning.

"What are you doing in there?"

"Oh shit, just being near you makes me hard and horny, this isn't going to be easy." Al got up and walked to the bathroom, his own cock, swaying hard and stiff in front of him. "I want to be with you, to wake up in the morning and suck on that tool and kiss you without feeling all this guilt."

"I know you do, but we need to be focused and do our jobs too. And right now that means figuring out where your wife has gone and with whom." Al hugged him and the two burly men kissed for a long time. "We're running out of time to even shave now. Get a move on. I'll shower." Al jumped into a hot shower as Jim quickly shaved. Before Al could finish Jim was in the tub with him brandishing his still stiff prick. Al smiled and batted at it. "Well, if you must." Al turned and leaned against the front wall, water cascading over his deeply cut back as Jim slid his dick into Al's butt. The two men just made it to role call and the start of their day.

Ron's muttering that the same thing had happened to Bo almost slipped by them. Steve was the one who caught it and asked Ron if he knew anything. The older beefy cop just shook his head and said no, that was all Bo had shared. He was making plans for a part time person to work with Steve in case Bo requested some leave to handle this. Steve told Jim and Al and went to sign out his vehicle for the day. Al caught up with Ron as he poured himself another cup of coffee.

"Hey, aren't you supposed to be watching that stuff. Blood pressure and all." Ron just shot him the look and Al shut up. The guys had all learned that Ron was a pretty easygoing man but when he shot you the look, shut your piehole quickly.

"Yeah, so what?"

"Uh, nothing. What was it you said about Bo's wife leaving him?"

"Now look, that was a slip. Bo called off because when he got home yesterday, his house was empty, his wife was gone and she had left the kids at her mother's. Where were you guys this weekend anyway?'

"What makes you think he was with us, er, me?" Al looked down at his shiny toe then back up at Ron who only smirked.

"Come on, Allan, who do you think you are talking to anyway? I know something's been going on between you and Jim and now I'm pretty sure it's Bo and Kenny. What I don't get is how you guys mangled it so badly the wives figured it out."

Al took a deep breath and rubbed his short black hair. "I don't know. I don't think we did. Something else is up here and we need to get to the bottom of it. Jim and I are going to combine our patrols with Steve's and keep an eye out for both women. If you hear anything let us know. Also, let me know if you get any clues on the letters we both got. The whole thing is starting to make me jumpy."

Ron put his coffee cup down on the desk and wrapped his arm around Al's shoulders as he walked him toward the patrol car. "Hang in there buddy and don't back down right now. I can't afford to have another good man off. I don't think Bo can come back tomorrow and Earl is having stomach trouble. Yeah don't even think about it, that Crown Vic is history soon. And Dirt, well, he's just plain weird anymore, he called off this morning too."

"I'm OK. I'll just keep a good lookout over my shoulder."

"And for what it's worth, well, I don't think Jim's wife took off because she found out. The letter I got made it clear there was only one queer on the force. Whomever it is doesn't know I got a whole flock here." Al looked up at Ron's comment. "A whole flock of gay cops who I wouldn't trade for anyone else." He shook Al's shoulder and watched the big man drive off with his partner followed closely by Steve. Ron walked back to retrieve his mail and coffee. Another letter was in the stack with his paperwork. Ron's face went blank as he took his seat on duty and sorted his paper into neat stacks. He watched people come and go. Men and women. Police and civilians. He nonchalantly opened the second letter and read it as he would any of the reports on his desk. He stamped it as received with a date and time and carefully let it fall into an open drawer out of sight.

Art was on his way to an appointment when he drove down a partially blocked residential street. The moving truck was parked precariously across one lane as the two women struggled to unload a large table. The one woman didn't look too happy to be doing this and appeared pale and weak. He stopped long enough to offer help with the table and took her place carrying it into the first floor apartment. The two women thanked him and laughed that he hadn't been there sooner since they had unloaded all the big stuff themselves. They acknowledged the table was the heftiest piece and offered to pay him, which he refused. He smiled as he walked toward the door and said he was glad to help even just a little. His eyes stopped on a wedding picture perched on top of another box. He recognized the woman as the woman who didn't look all that healthy right now. As he exited the door, he took another quick glance at the picture.

Art was two minutes late for his appointment but when he explained why, the man with whom he was meeting smiled and complimented him on helping. The guy went on to explain how he appreciated the acts of kindness that some people gave so easily and wished more people would do that.

"In San Francisco, well, I think I am blessed with a lot of very caring helpful friends. They would all give you the shirt from their backs and not think a second about it. Don't find that everywhere and I like to do business with people who think like that. So, Art, tell me how our two companies can partner?" The big man leaned back in his chair and Art mentally measured the man's chest as being easily 54". The shirt pulled snugly but not obscenely, over huge pecs. The man thighs filled out the suit pants in long thick ribbons of muscle. The hair was short and cleanly cut. This was not the guy you would expect to see negotiating a deal for business. But Art wasn't complaining.

Art laid out his business proposal in complete detail across the table. The big man made notes and commented as he went through his presentation. He sat quietly until Art had finished and then reviewed his notes. Art went to flip back through the presentation material as he thought necessary.

"Why don't you do it from this side, it'll be easier. Art walked around the table as the man stood up. OK, the chest was bigger than 54"; the man stood well over six-foot, maybe 6'7". "And quit calling me, Mr. Glover, it's Sonny."

"Sonny? I think you're past that growth spurt." The big man laughed and shook Art's shoulder. Art could see a huge bicep pop under the sleeve of the suit coat. He felt the sensations in his crotch as his dick stirred.

"Yeah, it's a nickname that has stuck fast." Art flipped through his presentation materials all the while feeling the heat from Sonny standing behind him. He reached for his notes across the desk and bumped against the big man's leg. Sonny didn't move. If this man wasn't gay, Art's gaydar was broken. Art stood up slowly and Sonny stood firm.

"That's everything."

"Thanks Art, I think we can do business. I'd like to talk over the final details later today, if possible. I need some time to draw up the paperwork. You free later, maybe for dinner, or better yet, a workout. I like doing business in the gym."

"Sure my gym is close by, why don't I write down the address, make arrangements for a guest pass for you and we can workout then hit dinner somewhere. That sound OK?"

"Super. I'll have everything ready this afternoon. I just need to call my father."

"Oh, you from this area?"

"Yeah, I moved to San Francisco several years ago to escape Dad, a real hardcore cop type. We don't talk much. For starters he's upset that I didn't want to be a cop but chose construction engineer instead and, uh, a couple of other choices I made that pissed him off."

"You're father's a cop here? I have a couple of buddies who are cops, maybe they work together?"

"I know one buddy of mine is a cop with him and keeps him at an arm's length, the true generation gap. We need to talk but there's no talking with him. I'm doing another interview this afternoon with a company here to relocate part of my business. My mother's health is not the best and I'd like to be close by. She can't count on my father since the divorce."

"That's too bad. I hope you get a chance to at least say hello and open the door for conversation."

"Thanks."

"Uh, let me gather my stuff and get out of your way. Do you mind if I use the restroom before I leave?"

"No, help yourself." Art ducked into the bathroom and pissed through a hardening cock. Sonny was a hot man and the thought of all that beef in the gym with him was making him sweat. He walked back into the hotel suite and Sonny was sitting at the desk. He had removed his tie and suit coat to reveal a nicely carved set of shoulders and pecs under the dress shirt. A big smile spread across his face. He stood up to walk Art to the door and the full impact of the tall, muscular man with a tiny waist hit Art between the eyes and in the balls. Sonny placed his hand on Art's shoulder and squeezed as they stood at the door.

"What time for the gym?"

"How's four, too early?"

"No, not at all. I'll call you back if it's a problem. You have the address, just look for me in the free weight room."

"Great, later." Art leaned against the elevator wall as the doors closed and gasped to catch his breath. The workout and dinner were going to definitely try his gay nerves.

Al and Jim made their rounds, overlapping with Steve's area as he soloed. Jim made notes on where he thought his wife could be and with whom. It was a short list. None of her relatives knew where she was and if any friends knew, they weren't saying. One thing was certain, she had to either have put her belongings in storage or moved them into an apartment. There was too much to be driving around.

"You know Jim, I think we should call Bo. The fact that his wife has pulled the same stunt makes me suspicious. After all, I did see them together in the restaurant last week."

"You what?"

"Oh fuck, I never told you that, did I? Well, that dinner we did out with Eric, well, Linda was there with Janet, on the other side of the restaurant."

"You think they helped each other? Guess they could have, after all they are friends. Do you have Bo's home number?"

"Yeah, in my notebook, along with his cell phone number. I'd try that first. I bet he's out looking for Janet now." Jim dialed the number and got Bo on the second ring.

"No, this isn't Janet, it's Jim. Sorry, didn't mean to bug you. But, did you know, my wife has pulled the same disappearing act. No, really, she moved her stuff out over the weekend and no one knows where she may have gone. Not a clue. Really, a rental truck? Did they have any idea where they were heading? Check the mileage, cut it in half and make a circle. They have to be in that radius. How far is it from the rental place to your house? OK, I'm not sure how that effects the equation but it's a start. Why don't we meet you for lunch at 11:30? Yeah, the diner's fine. See you there." Jim clicked the phone off and slumped in the seat.

"What did he say about a rental truck?"

"Janet rented a truck not far from their home but hasn't returned it. It's not on our patrol, nor Steve's. Who has 95th street?"

"Dirt normally, but that fucker called off too today. Do you think Ron would have whoever is patrolling that area keep an eye on the rental place?"

"Worth asking, I'll call." Ron agreed to have the patrol check out the rental office and Jim sighed heavily.

"Hey, buddy, she's all right."

"I know in my heart she is but it pisses me off that she is putting me through this, despite the guilt that I was going to ask for a divorce anyway, talk about fucked up emotions. Al, promise me that if we develop a real relationship, that we'll be honest with each other, please."

"I promise and I think we are on our way there." He reached over and squeezed Jim's leg and ran his hand up to the big basket. Jim let out a long slow sigh and adjusted his aching nuts. They spent the rest of the morning performing basic routine tasks and checking in frequently with Steve. He met them for lunch at the diner and was happy to see Bo walk in looking a bit more relaxed than expected.

"Well, I still have no clue where they are but I don't think it can be that far. Knowing Janet, she's not about to drive a truck any farther than she has to. Hates trucks. Steve looked up from his Rueben.

"Ub rebaltwk?"

"Is that mouthful for a rental truck?" Steve nodded yes and swallowed hard. "I saw a truck over on Buena Vista this morning, not a bad neighbourhood."

"Hey, check it out after lunch again and keep an eye out for either of these vehicles and license plate numbers." Steve nodded again his mouth full of sandwich.

"We're going to run and check a couple of leads. Not sure if Jim here will be up for the gym but I'll try to make it."

"OK Al, hey guys, try not to worry. I'm sure they are OK."

Ron looked over the analysis of the two letters he had received. No fingerprints. The paper was standard run of the mill printer paper you could buy in a hundred stores and the print was most likely an older Epson. Nothing there that was going to help finger whoever was threatening Al. He sat at his desk and drummed his fingers. Al was a good cop. Too good to lose because some bigot was insecure about gay men. There had to be a connection to Al. Something that this shithead found out or believed and was causing him to do this.

He sat at his desk closing out the day's paperwork and trying not to worry. The domino effect was in the back of his mind. If Al goes down, will Jim and Bo go down with him and will Kenny also be in jeopardy. Then there was Steve. Ron still wasn't sure about Steve but because he hung out with Al this shithead could assume guilty and gay by association. He drained the rest of the water from the giant bottle on his desk and set the paperwork aside for the next officer. He laid the two letters in the middle of his desk and stared at them. Who the fuck was doing this and wh......holy shit, why the hell hadn't he noticed this before. He picked up the second letter. It wasn't postmarked. This letter had never gone through the mail. Someone had to have left it in the inner office basket. Ron picked up the phone and called the front desk. He wanted the videotape from the monitor in the lobby. It was changed every six hours. Whoever left the second letter had to be on the tape.

Art walked into the gym and nervously paced in the lobby. The thought of working out with Sonny wasn't bothering him. The thought of changing in the locker room and possibly showering with the man was. The big man walked in a few minutes early and shook Art's hand.

"Thanks for working out with me. I hate to miss a workout when I travel. The guilt kills me, silly eh?"

"Not at all, I feel the same way. How was the rest of your day and your interview?"

"Good, very good. I'll tell you about it later, let's hit the weights." Art showed him to the locker room and tried not to look as Sonny changed. The big man completely stripped before putting on his workout clothes. It took all of Art's will power not to whistle as Sonny stuffed a huge piece of meat and two large egg-shaped nuts into a jock. He pulled on a just slightly snug pair of jersey shorts that accentuated the basket and a tank top to expose the slabs of pec muscle and two big half-dollar sized nipples. Full, hard, suckable nipples. Art was in trouble big time.

They hit the free weight room and spent an hour and a half doing chest and arms. Sonny was focused on his workout and pushed Art to go heavier. Art watched in envy at the weight the man moved and the huge pumping response of his muscles. It was like watching someone blow up a beach ball. The man just grew with each rep. Their eyes met several times and Art felt like Sonny was waiting for a cue. Art's professionalism kept him from giving it.

"Wow, that was some intense routine. I'll be sore tomorrow and pumped for a couple of days, thanks."

"You're welcome and thank you for joining me." Sonny put his big paw on Art's sweaty shoulder and rubbed. Sonny's eyes looked right through Art's soul. Art felt his face flush and his breathing become labored. "Come on, let's hit the showers." Sonny pulled Art's shoulder toward the locker room and was soon standing naked before Art again. Art felt his dick flopping half erect in front of him and was sure Sonny was watching it. "Hey, how about a steam to work out some of the kinks?'

"Uh, well, I..."

"Come on, will do us a world of good." Sonny pushed art toward the steam room. His hand was on Art's butt and sliding along the sweaty crack. Art thought he was going to pass out. They entered the hot thick steamy room and settled on a bench at the far end. Their knees touched as Sonny made idle chatter about the contracts and getting them signed.

"The sooner we get them signed the sooner we can relax and have dinner." Art was about to get up when Sonny stopped him.

"Look Art, I want to tell you, well, I think I, oh, we'll talk about this later."

"Something about the papers?'

"No, nothing, we'll talk later." The two men showered and tried not to look at each other's bloated cocks. They changed quietly and walked to their cars. Art suggested a restaurant down the street and Sonny joined him in his car with his briefcase. They got a table, ordered drinks and signed the contracts. Sonny shook Art's hand and smiled.

"Thanks, Sonny. I think we'll work well together." Sonny smiled and put his hand on Art's forearm.

"Look Art, no matter how I say this, it's going to sound like a come on and I am not one to mix business and pleasure but god, I'm hoping you're gay. Cause I really would like to spend time with you. I think I'm going to get the job here and well, I would like to see you."

"Wow, that's unreal. I have to tell you I have had the hots for you since we met but there is one problem."

"What's that?"

"I think we both prefer top."

"That's OK. I don't mind the right guy's dick up my ass as long as I can reciprocate later."

"Would now be too early?"

Al saw Art leaving with Sonny as he came around the corner of the gym and waited for Jim. Jim was feeling low spirited but felt he had to do something to keep his mind occupied or go crazy. Art stopped to say hello and introduce Sonny.

Art looked at Jim. "You know, I could have sworn I saw a photo of you today when I stopped to help two women unload a table in an apartment on the way to an appointment with Sonny."

"What? Where?"

"Over on Addison."

"Could it have been my wife you were helping?"

"Not sure, it was a quick glance. It maybe was someone else. But the guy sure looked a lot like you. I got the feeling that they were storing furniture there." Jim's shoulders dropped. He thanked Art and walked into the gym. "Here's the address, but I didn't get the names and didn't pay attention to the apartment number. Although it was on the first floor." Jim took the slip of paper Art wrote out and stuffed it into his pocket. For some odd reason, he didn't think it would yield much.

The two men changed and pumped hard and heavy. Al was soaked in sweat and dripping when they finished. Jim was more talkative, not his usual blather but an improvement on the day. Steve had joined them halfway through and told them he had seen Bo's wife's car on Buena Vista right where he saw the truck. Jim brightened thinking that maybe there was a possibility that his wife was in one of the two places.

He wanted to change and head over there but Al stopped him. "Let's do the sauna or steam and think about how we are going to approach this. If she isn't there, we don't want to do or say anything that will get a message to her to go into hiding. And if she is there, what exactly are you planning on saying?" Jim stopped in the middle of prying off his sweat soaked shirt. He dropped his arms with his shirt still tangled over his head.

"I don't know exactly. Maybe I should figure out an approach." He got out of the wet shirt in time to see Al's furry muscle butt disappear into the sauna. His dick immediately followed. Al was stretched out on one of the high benches and Jim sat just below him, leaning back so that they could discuss what Jim would say, if indeed, Linda were at this address. The other people soon left and Al reached around to rub Jim's blond furry wet chest. His fingers twisted a nipple eliciting a low moan from Jim. Jim turned his head to peek under Al's towel at a throbbing erection. He stood up and tightened his own towel to keep his hard dick close to his body. He swallowed the sweaty, salty fat cock and fought Al's hands trying to stop him.

"Jim, no don't. You're going to get caught giving me a blowjob, don't, oh fuck, stop that, uh, uh. Dammit fucker, don't suck me off." He tried pulling Jim's head back but the short wet hair only slipped through his fingers. "Oh shit, awwwwww." Al's load shot onto his sweat soaked fur covered chest and abs as Jim walked away smiling wickedly. "You bastard." Pant-pant. "You killed Kenny."

Sonny and Art talked about Sonny's family over dinner and drinks. Sonny was going to sign papers tomorrow to relocate part of his company's operation to a building owned by a gentleman with whom they did a lot of business. Sonny explained that the guy was eventually relocating his operation a few hours from Chicago but for now this would work well. And that the guy was super built and hot and he was almost positive, gay. Art looked up from his fourth Margarita.

"What's his name?"

"Eric Stout."

"Oh Eric, yeah, mmm, is gay, woof."

"I think you've had enough to drink."

"Not if I am going to get that dick up my ass. I'm trying to numb my butt." Sonny chuckled and smiled.

"I don't want you numb. I want to feel your passion." Art put down his drink, stood up, put cash on the table to pay the bill before Sonny could protest and pulled the big man from his chair.

"My apartment is only a couple of blocks away."

Jim looked at the slip of paper Art had given him and pushed the buzzer on the apartment door. Al stood behind him for support. Jim felt his heart pounding. The door opened slowly.

"Hello Janet."

"Jim? Al?"

"Is Linda here?" Janet nodded yes. "May we come in?"
