Chapter 2

GG was a very good cocksucker, almost as good as any of the older boys/men in my original team. After he took me off he laid over my bunk and asked me to fuck him. But I was spent and my passion had waned.

"Not now GG, maybe later we can get together. Thank you GG your very good. It's no wonder the guys like you."

He turned crimson, blushing. Damn he was so young. Later I might have to order him put down. It just wasn't fair.

"Look Gee Gee, follow your squad leaders commands, watch the other experienced men. Learn quickly. We need you and all the others if we're to get through the next attack."

"Yes Sir. And thank you Sir. I now understand."

Command downloaded the plan of attack. The Attack on the center of the Crawler line was a feint. While we held down the Crawler defense, Mako 2 and 3, would sweep into their rear and cut their supply lines and hopefully envelope them. Our attack had to be as vicious as we could make it. All out. No stopping. They realized that causalities would be high.

On the day of the attack, I brought all squad leaders into a meeting in my quarters.

"First off I want every single man armed with AP rounds. All magazines. We need to kill as many crawlers as possible in this assault. We will go with three up and one in reserve. The reserve will split and move to any of the forward squads that need more fire power. Sgt. Zimmerman the support group will set up with two 30 mm Gatling's. You'll be in charge. I want the entire front swept clean, especially of Anfiier. If and when we make it to the ridge, I want you to switch to the 120 mm mortars. And pound them.

"Were the bait. Mako 2 and 3 are going after the supply lines and try to surround the Crawlers here in this sector. There won't be a chance for a dust off. So where necessary use Protocol One. Beegee your in charge of the reserve. Don't let any squad down. Sgt Zimmerman I want a back pack 20 mike mike depleted U235.

"Sir that back pack weighs almost 50 kilos are you sure?"

"If were going to die on this assault I want to take as many crawlers with me as I can."

"Yes Sir."

"I go down Beegee push the assault. Show them what Mako 1 is made of. Remember the rest, all of them. Give them hell, no let them think hell just fell on them."

"I'll be with the center lead squad. Watch your chatter on the com-link. I'll need to be able control the attack and change if necessary."

"Okay any questions?"

When no one spoke up I continued.

"Make sure every ones water back-pack is full and all the med-packs are replenished. We jump off in 9 hours. Get every one in the sack and make sure they eat too. That's all you are dismissed."

After everyone had left my cubicle I popped the top on a ready hot meal pack. I then filled my back pack water pack. I then inserted the med-pack into the slots on my armor. The med-packs were needles that automatically injected you when ever you felt you needed a pick me up. The consisted of a high dose of Benzedrine mixed with a mineral and vitamin supplement. They could keep you going for days. There was also a pain killer injector After eating my hot meal I laid down to sleep. .

I was sure I had barely closed my eyes when the communications consol started beeping. I staggered over to it.

"Mako 1."

"Cal Zulu Mako 1. You will have full command Artillery prep starting at 04:30. This prep will last 30 minutes. You should be able to follow it in. After the initial artillery bombardment you will have limited, I say again limited fire support. But you must make sure your coordinates are dead on. The support will come from the Battle Ship Potemkin."

Mako 1 roger."

"We wish, no I wish Mako 1 that we could have given you more manpower, but we needed to bring Mako 2 and 3 to full strength for their attack and envelopment."

"Understood Sir. We won't let you down."

"Give them hell Mako 1. Cal Zulu out."

I sat down and looked at the clock. 02:30. Time to start getting ready. Ready to die. Oh well everyone has to die some time. I was just wishing I'd make my eighteenth birthday. Odds were about 1 in 1000 I'd make it.

I punched the wake up alarm on the bulkhead and then started to dress. Long Johns first. Then my uniform. Then my Armor. I attached the Med-pack and slung on my water pack. I then walked out into the crew bay. Bare headed, without the command helmet on I could see and talk to my men, astounding me a seventeen year old kid, commanding 69 men. I talked to a few with words of what I thought were encouragement. Beegee was everywhere, checking armor, weapons, meds, and water packs.

"Hi Beegee, how's it going."

"We'll be ready Sir. Sgt Zimmerman is a wizard."

"How about the new men. Any problems?"

"No Sir. Mako 1 is ready to eat Crawlers."

I headed to the armory. The 20 mm back pack was ready for me. The gun was a three barreled Gatling, putting out about 600 rounds a minute. The back pack held 1000 rounds of case less, 20 mm depleted uranium ammo. As I had said I would be with the center squad, three stronger men had been given replenishment packs for the gun. I should note here that all our weapons use case less ammo. So instead of each man only carrying 250 rounds, all could carry over a thousand. When I ordered only AP rounds I added about 50 lbs to each mans ammo load. Better to kill as many Crawlers as possible than worry about weight. Besides the more we kill the lighter the load. I looked at the count down clock. 46 minutes to go.

"Sgt Zimmerman!"

"Sir."

"We move out of the shelter in 40 minutes. Shake them out Sgt."

"Yes Sir."

I went back to my quarters and put on the command helmet and hooked it up. When I looked I saw a blob of blue in the center of my screen. I flipped the visor up and walked out into the squad bay.

The lights in the bay switched to red. To help with night vision.

I keyed my mike.

"Mako 1 visors down."

Six minutes to the assault. The shelter door slid up and Mako 1 was deploying out the door. I followed the center squad out and stood just behind their line. I watched in my command screen as the left squad shook themselves out into line and the right squad did the same. We slowly moved forward. I then saw Bee gee's pipper as he deployed with the reserve. Beegee showed up green, all units showed blue. Fire support with Sgt Zimmerman were orange. Then we waited.

I looked at the chronograph in my command screen. 04:30. Time.

At that moment a wave of navy bombers swept over us and dropped napalm on the ridge. The battle had begun. The navy was barely over the ridge when the full might of 20 heavy guns started to pound the ground in front of us.

"By squads advance."

It was eerie, for the first three hundred yards there was nothing, no return fire, just silence from the Crawler line. Had the navy really taken them by surprise. I could only hope. When the barrage ended there was total silence. Then all hell broke lose. Mostly on the right and center.

I watched in my command screen as blue dots turned to white. White was dead men.

"Beegee reinforce the right now."

"Kaycee. Take the ridge and enfilade them. I ordered my left squad.

I hadn't noticed that my back pack had run out. I had fired a thousand rounds and still they attacked. I grabbed for my rifle, and was starting to fire when I heard.

"Your reloaded Sir."

I never even noticed. But I continued to put rounds into the advancing Crawlers. Before I could grab my minigun again I found myself on the ground in real pain. I punched the medi-kit pain killer. As I tried to orient myself to the battle I saw a single soldier standing all alone on the right. He was killing everything that moved. When I tried to move my right arm refused to function.

"All squads push right." I ordered.

With my right arm not working I couldn't even fire a weapon.

I'm just a kid, I shouldn't be in command. What do I do. I was losing men at an alarming rate. Then I remembered the navy. I looked up onto the ridge where there seemed to be an unending line of crawlers coming over.

"Navy 1, fire mission."

"Navy 1. Go."

Box Grid. 2398-2396 to 2391-2390-2388-2386 to 2381-2380, for effect fire."

"Heads down bombardment on the way." I commanded on all my circuits.

"Box Grid on the way. Navy 1 out."

The entire ridge seemed to disappear in a single flash of fire. I learned later that the Potemkin had fired every battery she had. Almost 2000 rail gun rounds had landed on our front at one time. I thought I had died from the noise. When the smoke and fire died down. The Crawler attack had been destroyed. I survived once again, damn. I looked at the command screen. There were a lot more white dots than blue. So I wonder what the butchers bill for this will be. The third squad had lost only 2 men. Beegee was dead, Sgt Zimmerman died, I could only count 21 blue. Twenty one out of 70 men. When I looked out to survey the carnage of this battle only one thing stood out. One single soldier still stood on the right. He was the only survivor of the right squad. I keyed in for an identity.

"GG!"

A thirteen year old kid had held the line. What does that say? It was then that I passed out again. The next thing I remember was a medic.

"Okay Sir. We have put a temporary patch on until the dust off gets here."

"My Men?"

"Their loading on a carryall now. To take them back to main base."

"I'll go with them. Get me up."

"No Sir. You need a dust off now."

"GET ME UP!"

"Yes Sir." He knew the penalty for refusing a direct command.

He helped me into the carry all and I just sat down and looked around. Of the original ten men only three were alive. Of the 60 reinforcements only 22 were on the ship. I lost 45 men and boys. Damn.

WE landed on a vast parade area. The carry all landed facing this parade ground. GG walked up.

"Can I help you Sir."

"Yes GG, thank you."

WE limped off the carrier and lined up on the parade square. I knew I was bleeding from several wounds, but just wanted to die with dignity in front of the General.

"Mako 1, 2, and 3, you have achieved a great Victory. We have pushed the Crawlers out of the mountains. Mako 1 you deserve more credit than the rest. You stood the line. The senior officer of Mako 1 please step

forward."

I stepped forward. Raised my right hand in salute. The next thing I remembered was a command to save this man. I woke up in a hospital ward, where I didn't know, but I was alive. I knew I was nude. I also had a mirade selection of needles and IV's feeding my body. My eyes felt like I had just woken up from the dead, dry and irritated. But I was alive.

"Good, I see your awake Major. We were not sure you would make it. You had lost almost all your blood. Thanks to some of your men we were able to give you a whole blood transfusion."

"Where am I."

"Your on the hospital ship Glory."

"I have to honest Sir. It really was touch and go for a while. With so many heads on the block we had to save you. Under normal battlefield rules we would have used protocol one."

I saw him turn a dial and I passed out again.

When I awoke the next time, I only had one IV in my arm.

"Ah. Good to see you awake Major. The IV is a food supplement. But maybe you would like some real food now?"

"How long have I been here?"

"Fourteen Standard Sir."

Fourteen days, fourteen days on my back. What of my men.

"My men, Mako 1, Are they okay?"

"Their fine Sir."

"Can you get me something to wear, I really need to pee."

"Here's a robe. Hold on I'll help you up. Steady now, don't want falling and tearing out your stitches."

The medic helped me up and then into the head. I stopped at a urinal and drained my bloated bladder. After I was done I turned and looked in the mirror. God I looked terrible. Very pale and thin looking, with huge black bags under my eyes. I felt a hundred years old, not seventeen.

"You called me Major. I am only a Captain."

"Not anymore Sir. You are the senior officer of the Mako Shark Battalion. In fact the new CO, by direct order of World Command."

"Now lets go see what we can find in the galley."

As I shuffled down the hallway, being helped by the medic, every person, men and officers, stopped and saluted as I went by. When we entered the galley everyone inside stood rigidly at attention.

"At ease please, carry on." I said.

After eating three big helpings of Beef, potatoes, carrots and gravy, plus several glasses of real milk, only the best for the navy, the medic helped me back to my room.

"You need more rest Sir. I'll rustle up a uniform for you so you can at least look more presentable."

As soon as I laid down I went out like a light bulb. When I awoke, I again needed to visit the head. Not seeing anyone around I slowly sat up and put my feet on the deck. As I stood I felt a wave of nausea that almost made me pass out. After sitting for a few minutes it passed and I put on my robe and very unsteadily walked to the head. After doing my business, I noticed a shower in the corner. I dropped my robe and climbed in and turned on the water to luke warm. God it felt good. I slowly increased the heat until it was almost scalding. Just the way I liked it. I looked around for some soap, but then noticed a button next to the facets, marked foam. I pushed it and was soon covered in a cleansing foam. I carefully washed myself. I ran my fingers over the stitches in my right side. They ran from my shoulder all the way down to my mid section. Another set about four inches long were on the inside of my left thigh. Damn close to my balls. If I had lost them I would have used Protocol 1 on myself. I turned the water off and was quickly blown dry by a couple of hot air fans. As I stepped out of the shower the medic walked in.

"Feel Better Sir?"

"One hundred percent. Thank you."

He walked out with me to my room and helped me dress. Shorts, t-shirt, combat pants and shirt. I noticed the pips of a Major on the collar. After I was dressed he handed me a belt with a sidearm. After putting it on he said.

"It has been a very real honor to serve you Sir."

"Thank you. What happens now?"

"A shuttle is waiting to take you to the Potemkin. After that I don't know Sir."

"Okay lead the way."

"NO SIR! You lead and we all follow."

I headed for the entrance to my room, he said quietly "left" or "right" as we walked through the ship. No matter what people were doing they always stopped and saluted as I walked by. Why I don't know. Big deal I was a seventeen year old Major. There were lots of Majors on Calidonia. Earth Command had almost a million men on the ground. When we reached the shuttle bay, I turned and thanked the man who had attended me. He shook my hand and then saluted and turned and left.

I walked onto the shuttle and sat down. I saw I was the only one on board. As soon as I was seated the shuttle closed up and then lifted off and slid through an airlock into space. The trip was very short. Like maybe ten minutes and we were again landing. When the shuttle door opened and I stood to leave, I heard a high pitched whistle. When I stepped into the door.

"Hand Salute."

"Salute."

I stepped out of the shuttle and saluted.

"Welcome aboard the Potemkin Sir. Admiral Gosset is waiting to greet you."

Not knowing where to go, I gestered.

"Ah, this way Sir."

He led me to an elevator. As soon as I was in it took off and less than 30 seconds later opened onto a vast room with a clear dome. Standing about fifty feet inside was the remnants of Mako 1.

"MAKO 1 ATTENTION"

"MAKO 1 PRESENT ARMS."

Twenty one rifles came up in the present and twenty one boots slammed down on the deck.

A band broke into "This Fair Green World" the anthem of Earth.

I saluted as it played. I really loved that tune.

When the music stopped.

"Mako 1 shoulder arms, stand at ease."

I walked forward and saluted the Admiral, a bearded old man of at least 60.

"By the Command of Earth Council, you are hereby promoted Major and awarded the Cluster of the Milky Way. Your actions on Calidonia were instrumental in pushing the Zring out of the mountains surrounding Earth Base One and pushing them back into the plains."

"Private Garvin"

"Sir." I heard in a tinny voice.

"Step forward."

Private Garvin walked up to the Admiral and saluted.

"Private Garvin it is my honor and privilege to present to you the highest award that can bestowed on a man or officer in the Armed Forces of Earth. You and you alone stood your ground when all around you had fallen. Against overwhelming adversaries, you stood and fought. While those around you fell. To you son goes the Sole System Star with diamonds and a promotion to Sgt."

I was sure the Admiral had tears in his eyes as he pinned the decoration to GG's chest.

Sgt Garvin stepped back and as he started to salute the admiral said.

"No Sgt. It is we who salute you."

And as he stood there the admiral and all his staff, me included turned and saluted. The band broke into the Earth Anthem again. When it was over, the admiral said he had laid on a few refreshments. So we sort of mingled, I talked to my men/boys, making sure they were okay. I also talked to the Admiral.

"Admiral it is this ship and it's men who should receive a medal. It was your fire support that broke the back of the Crawlers."

"Your wrong Major. Audio and video don't lie. The real time feed from your helmets told the whole story. Sgt Garvin really did stand and fight like a demon and you continued to fight even when you were mortally wounded. They don't make soldiers like you two. It is something your born with. Good Luck Major. Remember the Navy is on your side, now more than ever."

"Sir I don't know about that born stuff. I only know that I lost a lot of very good men."

"Well Major I hope you are prepared to lose a lot more. You are now a Battalion Commander. You now have to worry about 500 men not the 60 or 70 you had in your last battle. But knowing what I have seen you will make the Mako Shark Battalion the best on Calidonia."

I wandered around and then found myself at a viewing point. Calidonia looked green and inviting hanging below the ship.

"Sir."

I turned and GG was standing close by.

"Hi GG, how's it hanging."

"Sir. What's all this mean? Am I really a Sgt. What's this medal mean?

"Yes GG you really are a Sgt. And medal it means I have to salute you first, as does everyone, and I mean everyone has to salute you. You are a real hero GG."

"Sir. Can we, can we..."

"Yes GG we can get together later. I want to suck your nice cock and maybe have you fuck me again."

"But I want you to fuck me Sir."

"Well we can do that too."

The reception only lasted about an hour and soon we were escorted back to the shuttle bay where a carryall was waiting to return us to Caledonia. After all of us were on board we took off and landed back at Earth One Command Base. When we landed the newly formed Mako Shark Battalion was formed on the parade square. It was commanded by only Sgt's as it was my duty to appoint officers.

"Sgt Garvin, you are hereby appointed Battalion Sgt. Major. Take your

post."

"Yes Sir." He knew from training that he was to go to the front of the battalion in the center and wait for the officers to be fallen in. He approached the grizzled old Sgt standing in as Battalion Sgt Major. He stopped in front of the man. The Sgt crisply saluted Sgt Garvin.

"You are relieved. Take your post as Color Sgt Major."

"An honor Sir." he saluted, turned and marched to the position by our colors.

In a surprisingly clear and steady voice Sgt. Major Garvin said.

"BATTALION ATTENNNNNNTION. Open order March....Dressing, RIGHT Dress."

After the Color Sgt Major had dressed the lines.

BATTALION, Eyes Front. Stand At Ease."

I walked to where Sgt. Major Garvin was standing.

"BATTALION, ATTENNNNTION."

GG turned as I approached. Before he could salute I whispered, "I salute you first GG."

He turned Crimson, but after we exchanged salutes.

"Mako Shark Battalion ready for inspection Sir."

"We'll skip the inspection today. First I'll need to appoint officers to fill the slots in the TO&E. Your appointment of that Sgt Major to Color Sgt Major was very good. I think you are already a good Battalion Sgt. Major. I look forward to working with you."

"You may take your post."

I saluted him again and he returned it and then turned and marched smartly to the rear of the Battalion.

"BATTALION STAND AT EASE." I ordered.

"My name is Major Thornton. By order of World Command I hereby take Command of the Mako Shark Battalion of the First Infantry Division, Calidonia Command."

"Over the next few weeks you will get to know me better. I expect nothing but the best from you. You all have a lot to live up too. The men that came before you made the Mako Shark Battalion the best and most decorated Battalion in Earth Command. I expect you will better that record."

"SGT. MAJOR."

"SIR."

After we had exchanged salutes. I said.

"You may march off the Battalion."

We again exchanged salutes and I turned and walked off.

All through this exchange of command the remnants of the original Mako 1 had stood at attention behind us by the carryall.

Sgt Major Garvin now turned to them.

"Sgt Johnston!"

"Sir."

"Place your men at the head of the Battalion."

"Yes Sir."

As the men of the original Mako 1 started to march.

"BATTALION ATTENNNNTION. PRESENT ARMS."

After they were in position at the head of the Battalion.

"BATTALION SHOULDER ARMS. Close order march....Move to the right, right turn. To your posts, by the left, quick march."

The Battalion marched off the parade ground.

Unexpectedly a vehicle pulled up.

"Your transport Sir."

"Okay where am I going now?"

Regimental Commanders Compliments Sir. He wishes to see you."

I climbed in and was quickly taken to the Shark Regiment Headquarters.

As I walked in everyone jumped to attention. I walked down the hall to the door marked Commanding Officer Shark Regiment. I knocked.

"Enter."

I entered and before I could even salute the man behind the desk was up and came over and wrapped his arms around me in greeting. I finally met the man who I only knew as Cal Zulu.

"Well Major Thornton, feel a little overwhelmed."

"Yes Sir."

"Before we start, I'll tell you, you have been awarded several other decorations. Earth is a planet made up of over 150 independent states. Each with there own laws and each with there own Governments, united into one. The old US of A has awarded you their Congressional Medal of Honor. Great Britain the Victoria Cross, France their Croix de Guerre. Russia the Hero of the Empire. The list goes on and on. You're a very special young man. And there have been requests and demands that you be returned to Earth. However you are a seasoned Commander. You proved that in the last battle with the Zring. We have now control of all the mountains around Earth Base One. The Zring have been pushed back into the plains. New kind of warfare and new kind of tactics are needed. Your Battalion will be the first of a new Mechanized Division. To that end You and your Battalion are going to Riga Four. It's a planet not unlike Calidonia about 150 light years from here. The trip will take about 30 days, give you time to sort out your new Battalion and appoint the officers you need. You embark in three days."

"Sir why me? I'd prefer just to be a soldier. Just an ordinary trooper."

"Don't sell yourself short Major. You are best Combat Commander I have ever seen. You deserve this and you will accept it."

"Yes Sir."

"Now go relax for a few days. Enjoy Major."

"My Driver will take you to your quarters. You are dismissed."

I saluted the Colonel and then walked out in a haze. The driver took me to my quarters.

When I entered I saw that the Battalion Sgt Major's quarters were right next to mine. He was after all the only one who could see and talk to me as a one on one. He was the conduit to the men as the Deputy Commander would be for the officers, when I appointed him. My quarters were quit Spartan. Very basic, a bed, a double, desk, commo set up, shower and refresher. I sat down and just relaxed. It had been a long day. A knock.

"Enter."

"Sgt Major Garvin reporting as ordered Sir."

"Lock the door Sgt Major."

GG turned and locked the door.

"Strip." I ordered.

GG quickly undressed. His three and half inch cock was standing straight out.

"You may assist me in undressing GG."

As he helped he saw the zipper stitches running down my right side. Then the four inch one on my left thigh.

"Wow. You really were hurt bad." I noticed tears in his eyes.

I grabbed him and wrapped my arms around his slight frame.

"It's okay GG, I'm alive and your alive."

"I just remember what you said. We all have to depend on each other. I don't know what came over me. I just had to fight on. I was so scared, but your words still run through my mind. We only have each other to depend on. I love you Sir. I mean I really love you Sir."

"Take me now Sir, please. I want you inside me. I want to be part of you. Forever."

I gently pushed GG down onto my bed. My cock was oozing a lot of pre cumm. I ran it around his tight rosebud. Knowing GG, I was sure he hadn't been fucked in well over two weeks. As I pressed my cock head at his opening, I saw a look of pain on his face.

"Are you sure GG. This is going to hurt."

"Fuck me Sir. Fuck me hard. Please."

My passion over road any other feeling and I drove my hard cock into his ass. He was so tight. His mouth opened in a silent scream as I penetrated him. I pushed all my 6 and a half inches into him. Then I started to drive in and out. I'd pull back slowly and drive as hard as I could back into him. With over two weeks since I had got off it didn't take long until I was ready to cumm. I drove into him with a final deep thrust and unloaded my seed into him. I pulled out and grabbed his head and forced my softening cock into his mouth. He sucked and sucked, cleaning my cock of his blood, shit and cumm. After I went totally soft I pulled out of his mouth and dropped down and took his hard cock into my mouth. It was barely in when I tasted his cumm. So sweet.

We then just laid on the bed and kissed. I tasted my cumm mixed with his shit and blood. Wonderful.

Can a Commander love his Sgt Major. I guess over the coming weeks I would find out.
