Hey, while I got you all here, lets wish `T' well for the surgery he just had on his ear. I'd like to wish `E' well with his upcoming surgery. I'd also like to thank `B' for his constant stream of IM's asking me what kind of underwear I'm wearing. I love talking about the finer things in life. To `R' I hope the leg gets better soon and Hunter finds out what he's missing. I have so many who chat or write me I couldn't possibly mention you all, just know that I love you all so dearly.

So without further ado, let's get on with the story.

------------

I sat in my bedroom on the window seat, checking out my new neighbor. Stevie had heard he was gay, I wished I had pursued that a little more. I mean, how'd he hear about it? I couldn't exactly go over and say; `Hey, my name is James, I'm a virgin, and you look hot. What say we hook up?' now could I? I wanted to; boy did I want to. His body looked so tan and smooth, he was gorgeous. I just had to get a closer look, I just had to.

I heard my bedroom door open, it startled me. I was spacing out on the hunk lying in the sun with just a pair of red shorts on. I speculated they were a pair of last year's `Union Bays', I had the same ones in blue. It was Charles bringing me my lunch; I suddenly remembered how hungry I was.

"James, I forgot to thank you for going to the market, so I made you a special dessert," the butler who I knew to be head and shoulders above the rest stated in his English accent.

"Really? What'd ya make?"

"I made you some chocolate mousse. I know how much you like my mousse."

"Gee, Charles, you're the best."

"Thank you, James, that's kind of you to say."

I looked at the sterling silver service tray that the six foot six towering man was carrying. I noticed how he had put a red rose in Mother's bud vase on the tray with the plate and sandwich. Under the plate was one of the Winslows' white lace doilies and on the opposite side of the serving platter was the crystal bowl with the delicious mousse. Charles had spent some time preparing this fine feast; the mousse was swirled perfectly with a little peak in its center.

"What, nothing to drink?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, James, I seemed to have forgotten." Charles set the tray down and left to the kitchen.

I decided to eat while sitting in my window seat. I couldn't take my eyes off this new kid. I was too curious about him and what Stevie had said. I decided to call Stevie back to get more of the details about this guy Danny. I pushed the number sign on my cordless and then the two; I had Stevie on speed dial. The club was number one; Stevie was two. I didn't have many other friends worth the effort to program into the feature. The club was most important, you had to be quick to get a court for tennis. Damn, the line was busy; I'd have to wait. Besides, Charles had just returned with a large glass of milk and I was starved.

"Here you go, James, sorry for the delay," the Englishman said, as he placed the goblet of milk on the shining tray.

"Charles, have you heard anything about the new neighbors? Do they have any servants?" I asked inquisitively.

"As a matter of fact, I've met the maid. I ran into her at the market last week."

"Really?"

"Yes, sir, she's a fine woman. Her attire was impeccable, her personality seemed warm and personable."

"Did you ask her about her the people she worked for?"

"No, sir, I didn't."

"Hmm, I heard the son is gay."

"Gay, sir? You mean he's happy?"

"No, Charles, you know, gay like me. He's a queer."

"I see, you don't say."

"I have to meet him. Look at him over there, Charles, he's delictable," I gushed.

"I believe the word is delectable, James."

"Really?"

Charles nodded and left me sitting in my room to gaze at my latest fascination. I decided to go for it, as soon as I finished my tuna sandwich and chocolate mousse, I would just go over and introduce myself. I couldn't let another day go by without getting to know this guy. I thought how funny it would be if he and I became friends, Father would die. I amused myself with thoughts of the torture my father would certainly endure if I were to become an item with this Puerto Rican.

I strolled over the back lawn of our estate, gazing off into the seascape that backed up our property. I was nervous; I could feel my palms as they sweat. As I walked nonchalantly around our gardens and grapevines, I would steal a glance at the boy next-door. He remained on the chaise lounge, sun bathing. I agonized over how to meet him. I couldn't exactly barge over. I had to have some class; after all, I was James Arthur Winslow the third.

I finally got up the courage to go over and meet this new neighbor. I trudged through our yard into his. As I got closer I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I was magnetized to his beauty. His smooth, sculptured chest was glistening in the sunlight from the droplets of sweat. His hair was jet-black and straight; he kept it at a medium length. I couldn't see what color his eyes were, as they were shut. I couldn't take my eyes off his abdomen and the bulge in his shorts where his cock was hidden. I wondered if it was true what I had heard about Puerto Rican dicks being large; from the look of the strained red shorts it was.

"Que pasa?"

Oh, my God, his dark black eyes had opened, he shielded them with his hand so he could see me. He caught me staring at his crotch. I could feel the blood rush to my face as I turned beet red.

"Hi, I'm James. I live next-door, I thought I'd come and welcome you to Nantucket. Where are you from? Do you have any brothers and sisters? How many in your family? Charles, our butler, met your maid. I was wondering how old are you?" I sputtered the questions out of my mouth like a rapid-fire machine gun shoots bullets. I was so nervous, it was showing.

"Whoa, you went so fast. I forgot your name. I'm Danny, Danny Vazquez."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm James, I live next-door."

Danny got up from his seat and offered me his hand. I took it into mine; I noticed how soft it was. I shook his hand and forgot to let go. He smiled and looked at me with those shiny black eyes, his teeth were so white against his darkened skin. He tugged at his hand.

"Can I have it back?"

"Oh...Oh, I'm sorry." I stammered and stuttered. I couldn't think straight, he was so unbelievably handsome.

"We moved here from Boston, my dad's an orthodontist. He retired and with my mother's health we decided to move near the ocean."

"I'm sorry, is it anything serious? I mean, with you mother?"

"Yes, she has leukemia. She went through radiation treatments last year with chemo and all. She needs a bone marrow transplant, I'm afraid."

While he was answering me, I noted how perfectly he spoke. He had a slight accent, but it was hardly noticeable. I was too intrigued with his good looks to pay much attention to the smaller details.

"Oh, that's terrible. I hope it all works out," I said sincerely.

"Mucho gracias," Danny said, it sounded so sexy.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come over later? Maybe we could go to the club, I could introduce you around."

"That's awfully nice of you. I think I'd like that. I've lived here two weeks and you're the first guy I met. You sure your friends won't mind?"

"Mind, why would they mind?" I said, but realized what he was really saying. I felt small, because I thought like my friends too.

"Because I'm Spanish. You sure they won't mind you bringing a `Spic' to the club?"

"I would hope not, Danny. If they do, fuck `em. I have to admit you're the first Spanish guy I met." I couldn't say Puerto Rican for some reason, it felt wrong.

"I'm not Spanish, I'm Puerto Rican. There's a difference. Actually, I'm American, born and bred in Boston. Where'd you go to school? I went to Sacred Heart, it's a Catholic School."

"Yeah, I heard of it. I went to Monson Academy, my father decided to send my ass away."

"Really, you don't get along with your father?" Danny asked, looking rather astounded.

"Well, kind of. He's just so stuffy. I'm the kind of person that likes to try anything once, and twice if I like it." I smiled, as I tried to hint to him what was on my mind.

"I get along with both my parents, I especially appreciate them with my mother being sick and all," Danny stated, as his eyes looked to the ground.

"Hey, let's you and I hang out, I don't have many other friends here on Nantucket, except for Stevie," I said, inviting him to be my friend.

"Really, you mean you want to be friends?"

"Yeah, I need another friend," I confessed.

"Back in Boston, I had lots of acquaintances, but I never really had any friends. I didn't get into that whole gang thing and most white people didn't like Puerto Ricans. I was the only one in my graduating class."

"Wow, we didn't have any at Monson," I said rather curiously.

"What time you want to get together?" Danny asked. His eyes opened wide and his smile couldn't have gotten any bigger.

"How about seven?"

"Sounds like a plan to me."

"OK, it's settled. I'll see you at seven." I smiled back at him and dashed back home.

I couldn't help but think how upset Father would be when Danny came over. I laughed about it, I purposely told our new neighbor to come over at the same time my parents would be returning from the club. I couldn't wait.

I raced to my bedroom, I had to call Stevie and tell him about Danny. I could picture Stevie and his shocked look when I told him. I grabbed my phone and punched in the number sign and the 2. I heard the phone ringing in my ear.

"Hello?" It was Stevie.

"Hey, it's me. I just met the new kid. He's a nice guy, I invited him to go with us to the club tonight."

"Really, are you nuts? Can you imagine?"

"What?" I said innocently.

"You want me to go with you and bring some Spic to the club? Cut it out. What do you think Ellis will do?"

Ellis was the most popular guy in the circle of `the clique' that were from our generation. He was like the leader of the gang. The shallow, plastic, self-centered group that I had grown up with summers on Nantucket. Most of us went to private schools from late August to June; some lived on the island year round, but usually returned to their winter homes when school started. We Winslows were permanent residents; we lived here year round. Ellis was an ass.

I had to decide what to wear so I didn't have time to keep Stevie on the phone.

"Fuck'em, Stevie. I'm not going to let Ellis or anyone else tell me who I can have at the club."

"Yeah, that's you, James. That's you all over, you just can't stand it unless you're rocking the boat. I'll come with you; I'll support you. I got to go. What time do you want me to come over?" I could hear the exasperation in his voice.

"Seven fifteen. Thanks, Stevie. Bye." I clicked the button on my phone.

I looked out the window over to Danny's house and tried to imagine what his family was like. I felt bad about his mother. I hoped I would meet his parents soon. I really wanted to get to know him. I not only lusted him, I think I was really taking a liking to him. He seemed so genuine and real. Danny did make a good first impression. I thought about what he had said, being the only Puerto Rican in his graduating class. I could identify somewhat, as I was the only fag in mine. Well, the only open fag, that is. I couldn't begin to imagine what it must have been like if he was the only Puerto Rican and was gay too. I didn't know for sure if he was gay, but I hoped. I thought I felt a sixth sense about him, I know I've read about that on the Internet. I've read about it on Nifty and Gay Writers Guild, those are the only places I can learn about being gay.

I went to my closet to check for something that would make a statement. I had to show Ellis and the bunch up, I couldn't wear anything from last year's designs. I had just got those new khaki `Bay to Bay' cargo shorts. I had driven into New York for them the week before. They would be perfect with my blue `Suma' polo shirt and I'd just wear my sandals.

With my attire decided on, I'd have to shower and do my hair. I went into my private bath and stripped out of what I had been wearing and sweating in. I quickly showered and shaved. I stood in front of my mirror, checking out my body. Not too shabby, the only thing I didn't like was all that hair below my belly button. I wished I could be smooth all over. I was checking my tan line, when did I get so dark? Hell, my privates were way too white; I definitely would have to do some nude sun bathing.

I got dressed and fixed my hair. I sat in my window seat and waited for Danny to arrive.
