I:

Granger was 38, 6'3" and lanky, weighing in about 190#s. His dark brown hair and stache framed and outlined his face and his deep blue eyes, often squinted shut by the hot Texas sun, drew you deep into any conversation with him. A splash of chest hair added interest to his torso and his arms had the same dark brown coloration. Granger was married to Ellen, 34 and they had 3 boys, all active and demanding but courteous and polite. Their home was in Carrollton, TX.

Granger worked for the Fort Worth & Rio Grande Railroad, a small in-state rail operation in Texas as a rail rider. His job was to monitor the tracks for any deterioration and report and repair any stretch found to be a potential failure or cause loss. That usually meant being away from home M-F and back home on weekends unless work called for him to be out of town then as well. Some weekends when he worked away, Ellen and the boys would drive to stay with him, then return home to break the monotony for Granger. It was also a break and excursion for Ellen and the boys. This weekend would not be one of those when Ellen visited and it would be day 6 of 12 for Granger and his crew to be on the road.

Granger and his crew were staying at a small 1 star hotel in Commanche, TX that was not too far from the section of rail they were having to replace. There were more expensive motels in the area, but this met the need. The 5 guys had three rooms, with Granger having his own as foreman. As it happened, his room was at the far end of the L-shaped motel and it suited him just fine to be able to get away from the crew for some peace and quiet. As it turned out, the adjoining room shared a common door so that the two rooms could be combined for family or small group needs. It had been empty for days 1, 2 and 5 of the stay, but had been booked for different guests on days 3 and 4; day 6 had a new guest.

Growing up in East Texas, Granger's family had always traded at Brookshire Bros grocery store, now just Brookshire's. The store had fair prices and all the staples he and the crew would need and the microwave and refrigerator in the room, made eating in, an inexpensive option for the guys; especially on these long duty calls. It was this night after he'd cleaned up and was headed up to Brookshire's that his new "room neighbor" was also leaving his room and the two guys nodded, spoke briefly and the other guest asked Granger about places to eat or get some groceries. He worked for a cell service and would be in the area for 4 days, working on two tower upgrades and had just gotten in. He wanted to grab some lunch stuff and some supper, then hit the sack early for the next day. Granger invited "Dan" to join him as he was headed to Brookshire's and Dan jumped in Granger's F-150 and the two guys headed up Central Avenue (Hwy36) to the store. En route, they shared a bit about each other, then found a parking spot, headed in and each went their own way to shop. Dan was sure friendly and easy-going, mused Granger. He'd learned that Dan too was 38, divorced and had two kids, a boy and a girl. His wife had connected with an old boyfriend of hers while Dan was working the country on cell towers. She didn't like being alone and hated Dan's job, but relished the money and lifestyle it afforded. In an odd twist, his wife didn't want custody of their kids and the court granted 100% custody to Dan and guardianship to Dan's folks when he was on the road. That way there was no question about care for the kids and well-being when he was away. The guys checked out, climbed in the truck and headed back to the motel. Dan suggested they might share a meal if Granger was interested and Granger appreciated the offer and chance to visit with someone other than a crew member and talk railroad shop. Granger's room on the end of the motel row, was actually about 2' wider than the others and had a small table with 2 chairs. The guys "nuked" their meals and Dan brought his into Granger's room to eat, visit, watch tv and enjoy the company as a change of pace for both guys.

The meal and visit lasted only about an hour and half and both guys, stretched and nodded their good nights, with Dan heading back to his space and closing the shared door. Granger thought Dan was a decent guy and was glad to have had the company. Both agreed to look forward to a repeat on the next night. About midnight Granger overheard voices and muffled groans from Dan's room. He knew there was no one else there and wondered if Dan had gone out and found a "date" at the nearby bar? He grinned to himself at the thought, and for the first time since the weekend, grew horny. After a few hard long strokes, his orgasm met the need and he drifted in a sound sleep.
