I still have ICQ Justin Case, and AIM JustinCaseBcuz and old faithful AOL Justin69SK@aol.com. Because so many still can't reach me with all these messenger services, I am proud to announce that starting this Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 10:00 PM EST, I have opened a chat room at http://Talkcity.com. Wow, I am really impressed with the mail I have been getting about my few recommendations for stories to read. It seems I am becoming a critic. So, not to let you down, I ran across a great story that I had read and forgot about. It was written by my very best friend and confidant, Eric Case; no, we are not related. We do share the same name and thoughts, though. The name of the story is "Maxwell's Project" last posted October 25, 2000 in the High School Section of Nifty. Eric is truly a leader in his writing skills, setting many examples that have been followed. I find him to be simply one the best. I hope you'll read his work and send him a note. He loves getting mail. Hehe, but I have to warn you, he's not as good about answering it. Sorry Eric, but it's true. He is a very busy senior in High School. It is really hard for him to find time to write lately. He is truly talented and humble.

Oh, and one more little thing, I am accepting works from aspiring writers for my web site. If you would like me to consider your work send it along. The address is above.

Thanks for listening. As always-Just, Justin <>

Molly had told the two gentlemen what she had found out about the murder of Miss Lil and George. They stood in the Johnson's kitchen in silence. Father Beck removed the gold framed eye glasses from his face. He took his hankerchief out of his back pocket and began cleaning the lens. It was a nervous habit. He looked directly at Miss Molly.

"Do you think Miss Lil had something to do with Melvin's death? It was rather sudden. I couldn't help but think how Doc Harrington's death was strange, too. I have never in all my years done so many funerals in such a short span of time. I mean, I did three inside of less than a month. That was some kind of record for Hilton County," Father Beck questioned, as he revealed his concerns.

"I don't know. She was an evil person." Miss Molly told Bob and Tom. "I met with an Agent Williams, from the FBI, briefly, before I came here. I stopped by my office to have the money placed in an escrow account until it is probated. Hopefully, that won't take long. Anyway, this Williams guy was waiting for me. He told me they were going to get a court order to exhume Melvin's body. He wanted me to tell Guy."

"Hm. Well, this is all something. What about John Sugardale? I suppose he should know, he is kin," Bob reasoned.

"I'll need to speak with him anyway, so I'll tell him. I have to discuss the will and make sure he doesn't plan on contesting it. I wouldn't think he would, but the language was not the best I've ever seen." Molly tried to explain to them, but knew they wouldn't understand the ramifications of the legal jargon.

"Yes, Miss Molly, we'll leave all that to you. What about the custody? Where do we go from here?" Bob asked, his voice was full of concern. He and Alice had grown very fond of all the children.

Molly Butterfield looked at Bob and said, "Well, I have to call Judge Ruddebaker. I would think, with John being a blood relative of legal age, that we should find out if he has any interest in taking the children. I don't really know what his plans are. All I know is he's here from New York, and he is a lawyer. Before I file a brief for a hearing on the custody, I really need to talk with John." Molly knew Bob was upset.

"I won't say anything to Alice until there is something to say," Bob said, his voice full of concern, as he opened the door that led into the dining room where the other adults were congregated.

Molly and Tom remained in the kitchen, neither saying a word. Finally, they slowly went into the dining room; Father Beck leading the way. Molly decided she would just come right out and ask John his thoughts. She figured there was no time like the present.

"John, how long do you plan on being here in Hilton?" Molly blurted out. The room fell silent.

"Well, I don't really know. I wanted to spend some time with my cousins; I mean I have never met them. I figured I had a few weeks until school started," he spoke softly. There was a sincerity about him.

"Oh my, that reminds me I have to call that Riley Hunter fellow. I forgot all about it. Guy! Guy! You need to come here, we have to call Julliard." Alice jumped up from her chair at the table and quickly walked towards the living room.

"What's this about Julliard?" John asked to whomever was listening and would answer his question.

"Oh, we are so rude." said Bob. "John, you have to excuse us. It's just that we care so much for the kids and all. My wife and I lost our only child. With all that has happened, we were going to take them in and raise them as our own…" He spent the next hour bringing John up to speed with all the goings on.

Molly and John also had a rather long conversation. Molly asked John what his intentions were, straight out. John explained that he really had no interest in taking the children to New York. He went on to tell them about his own life, and the difficulties he would encounter trying to raise six children in the `city that never slept.' He told them all that, while he was often lonely, the Sugadale Farm was only a short flight away.

Nancy Sue and Mrs. Beck had also been at the Johnson's and sat at the dining room table taking in all the information. They were all excited about Guy's scholarship and knew it was the best thing that could have happened for him. Nancy Sue told the others how she had known Guy since he was a small fry. She would often see Matty and Guy play-acting when they were little `scamps,' as she put it. She laughed, as she expressed some motherly concern that, while other boys in the area played with guns and the like, Matty and Guy would be busy memorizing lines and acting them out. Her face beamed with pride as she talked about the two boys, the way only a mother could.

In the mean time, Alice and Guy called Riley Hunter at Julliard. It was decided that Guy and Alice would travel up to Julliard two days later. Guy wasn't exactly happy, but he accepted it as the best thing for him.

Later that night.

The cool night air blew through the window. The curtains had been pulled back to let the air circulate. The full August moon cast its dim light over the meadows on the Sugardale Farm. The sounds of the crickets singing in the tall swaying grasses, echoed through the vast farmlands. Guy stood near Matty at the window, staring out at the world below the dilapidated old farm house; the home he had known all his life. He worried about what was ahead for him.

"Oh Matty, I am going to miss you something fierce," Guy confessed to his best friend and lover.

"I'm going to miss you too, but we'll have holidays. They'll come quick, you'll see."

Matty stood next to Guy, wearing only a pair of bikini underwear. His smooth boyish face reflected the silvery beams as he gazed into his friends turquoise eyes. His long, jet black hair danced in the breeze. Matty tenderly placed his arm around Guy and pulled him close to his side.

"I hope you will come to see me, Matty. I hope you won't forget me," Guy began to sob.

Guy's shoulders heaved with his cries. He remained in Matty's embrace, his slim young body glistened in the moonlit rays. His white boxer briefs appeared to glow as the beams bounced off the cotton cloth. The cool, circulating night air caused his nipples to become erect on his firm hairless chest.

Matty moved his face down to Guy's, and kissed him long and passionately on the lips. He pulled his lover closer to him, and ran his hands up and down Guy's muscular little body. The red nylon bikni underwear stretched, as his member became fully erect.

"I love you so much, Guy," Matty said, his soft voice full of affection.

"We have to be quiet," Guy cautioned. "My cousin is down stairs."

The two gently walked to Guy's bed, both fully excited and aroused. They tumbled onto the bed and found the treasures they were looking for. Guy positioned himself with his back to the mattress and below Matty. Matty was face down on top of him. They began to make love, slowly and tenderly.

They began to rock their young bodies against each other, while they nibbled small kisses on their cheeks and necks. Their breathing became heavy, and they both let out soft moans of pleasure. They pumped their cocks against each other through the material of the undergarments they still wore. The two young smooth bodies began to gleam as their perspiration reflected the dim luminosity from the moonlit sky.

Matty slid his hands down Guy's sides, hooked his fingers into the waistband of the cotton boxer briefs, and gently slid them down. He felt Guy's rock hard dick as it sprang free from the confines of the underwear. He grabbed the hardness with his hand and felt the warm moist velvety skin. He slowly gripped the swollen prick. He wanted to make this feeling last for a long time.

Guy lifted his hips from the bed and pulled his boxer briefs down further allowing Matty greater access to his member. He used his legs to totally remove the cotton briefs from his body. Then he moved his hand to the bulge in the front of Matty's nylon underwear. He loved the smooth cloth and the way it felt to his touch. He stroked the cock through the material and could feel every detail of it in his small hand. He felt the swollen head, and the fleshy hump of its underside. His fingers gripped the rock hard dick, as he slowly stroked it, still wrapped in the cloth.

Matty felt his cock grow. It felt bigger than it had ever been. He could feel the beginnings of an orgasm, but didn't want to have it yet. He used his free hand to pull Guy's face to his and gave him a deep kiss. He gurgled soft moans from deep within his throat, as he played tongue tag with his lover.

They were both engrossed in their lovemaking. Neither had heard John knocking on the bedroom door. John had come up to talk with the boys; he couldn't sleep. It was too quiet for him; he was used to the sounds of the big city. He stood outside the room and thought the moans were the voices of the boys talking quietly, so he opened the door. He couldn't believe what he saw. He stood motionless as he witnessed his younger cousin making love to Matty. He began to get excited, but felt guilty, because it was his cousin. He, however, couldn't deny the beauty of what he saw.

Guy slipped his fingers into Matty's tight undershorts and pulled them down. He yearned to feel his lovers naked skin against his own. Matty lifted his hips to make the task easier. Guy suddenly noticed his cousin in the room, and quickly pushed Matty off him.

"Cousin John, Oh my! We...well, you see..." Guy stuttered and stammered. He knew his love for Matty was forbidden. He was terrified at what his cousin would think.

"Uh, uhh, John, umm. Oh my God," came Matty's shocked voice.

"Guy, Matty, I am so sorry. I should have waited until you answered the door. Can you forgive me?" John, while surprised, was not upset by what he had seen.

Guy reached for the goose down comforter at the foot of his bed and quickly covered Matty and himself with it. His heart was pounding within his chest. He began to relax, as he realized John wasn't upset at what he had been doing. He stared at his cousin in disbelief.

"Really, you guys. I am sorry. I don't want you to think that I think badly of you either, because I don't. I'm from New York City, and have seen it all. I have nothing against people who share love with each other, no matter who they are." the wise cousin explained to the two young boys.

Guy began to cry, he was truly astounded by what his cousin had said. He went from feeling shame for his acts, to being emotionally overcome with joy. Matty reached for Guy's hand under the blanket and grasped it.

"Why don't you guys come down stairs to the kitchen. Let me put on some coffee. I think we should talk. I have some things to tell you both; call it advice if you want. I'd like to hear your thoughts as well," John requested, as he turned and walked out of the room.

The two boys got out of bed and began looking around the room to find some clothes to put on. They stumbled around the room, both still nervous and upset with themselves for being caught. Guy found his shorts under his bed and put them on. Matty watched as he put on his bluejeans. He just couldn't take his eyes off his friend; he loved him so much. Guy found a pair of pants on the chair near his dresser and put them on over his white briefs.

"Oh Matty, what does this all mean?" Guy asked rhetorically, but Matty answered anyway.

"I think it means we have someone to share our secret with; someone who won't judge us. I think it all will be fine, you'll see, Guy, it all will be fine."

The two dressed and went down the stairs to the kitchen. They found Cousin John sitting at the table. The aroma of fresh coffee floated through the air. John had place a couple of mugs at the chairs beside him. He looked up from his seat and smiled as the boys walked into the kitchen. He wanted to make it quite obvious that the boys were safe with him, that their secret was also safe. He had seen too much hate and prejudice in the `Big Apple;' he was not one to perpetuate it. The boys sat in the chairs around the table and began fixing themselves some coffee.

"I really want you both to know that what you do behind closed doors with each other is no ones business. I feel quite strongly about that. As long as two people love each other, I feel it is their right to express that love. I also think it is a very private decision and you need not share your sexual behavior with others. I have seen and read about gay people being beaten, and even murdered, because of ignorant people's viciousness. You must always remember to use discretion. Please promise me that," John lovingly shared his thougths with them.

Guy sadly looked at his older cousin. He ran the fingers of his right hand through his hair, while he collected his thoughts. Matty sat by Guy's side. Guy looked to his lover for strength and smiled affectionately at Matty.

Matty looked back at Guy with his dark brown eyes, and placed his right hand lightly on the right thigh of his friend. He wanted Guy to know that he approved of whatever it was Guy was wanting to say. He could see it in his young friends face; the look of apprehension. He slightly nodded his head in Guy's direction as his long, raven black hair fell across the side of his face.

"Cousin John, I am afraid to go to New York. I don't want to leave Matty. I just don't think I could be happy without him. I am only going because that seems to be what Miss Alice wants for me. I mean, I know it's probably a great opportunity, but I just don't want to leave Matty behind. I have lost so much, I really don't know if I could bear to loose him now." Guy let out a long breath. He felt as if he had finally released a demon that had been holding him tightly.

"Well, how do you feel, Matty?" Cousin John asked.

"It breaks my heart, it really does. I feel so badly for Guy, I love him so much. I don't even know how I'll survive knowing he will be so sad," Matty said, sounding much older than his fifteen years.

"Well, the first thing you have to decide is, whether or not you are ready to accept some help. It would mean telling others about your secret. I have to tell you I don't know people here well enough to tell you it will be all right. I think we may want to talk this over with your mother, Matty, but only if you think she'll be accepting of you. I know this sounds crazy, but both of you could live with me in New York. I could get you into a school up there too, Matty. It would mean telling your mother all about your love for Guy; there would be no turning back. I don't know what she would say, but I would be willing to do this for you boys. It could be the best thing for all of us. I have been so lonely since my own mother died. I have a confession also; I am gay, too. I wish I had a love like you two share, I really do." The cousin from New York, who had championed the causes for the needy for some time, while practicing law, reveled as he said it.

It was so much to think about. They all agreed that it was a great idea, but felt fear in admitting the truth to others. John decided they would seek the help of Father Beck. He thought it might be best if they told Nancy Sue in the his presence. John explained that clergymen were trained in such matters. The boys agreed. The next morning they called Matty's mother and Father Beck to the farmhouse.

The sun was shining brightly in the morning sky as the clouds parted and made way for its warmth. The three men waited patiently for Mrs. Williams and Father Beck to arrive. There was no denying the tension they all felt. It was too late now to turn back.

Nancy Sue arrived moments before Tom, and wondered what so important. She could sense Matty's anxiety the moment she entered the home. She said very little as she took a seat on the sofa and looked at her son lovingly. John had placed a pot of coffee and some fresh pastries on the table in front of her. She delicately sipped from the china cup and politely snacked on the baked treats.

Father Beck knocked on the door and John showed him in. Father Beck took a seat in the chair near the sofa which John pointed to. Matty sat next to his mother on the couch, and Guy sat in another chair which was placed next to the Priest's. John stood near the bay window that looked over the front porch.

John spoke first. He explained that the boys had come to him wanting some advice. He told Mrs. Williams that he hoped, no matter what, that she would try to be understanding, because what the boys were about to say was very important. He put in plain words what he felt was necessary to set the stage, so to speak. He was counting on the boys and Father Beck to do the rest.

"Mom, I love you very much. I need your support now, more than I ever have before. John has invited me to live in New York with him and Guy. Mom, I need to go there. I'm deeply in love with Guy and can't bear to see him leave and be further saddened by my absence. I guess what I am trying to tell you is, Guy and I are lovers. I hope you will accept us." Matty couldn't hold back his tears as he finally confessed his true identity to his mother.

Nancy Sue, extended her hands to her son and pulled him to her breast to comfort him. She had always suspected her son had feelings that were different than what most admitted to having. She had often thought that a day like this might come. She wasn't the least bit upset.

"Matty, I love you. I will always love you. I am so proud of you, I know how much courage that took," she whispered to her son and hugged him tightly.

"Well, I don't think we need to tell anyone else the whole story," Father Beck stated. "We'll just tell people that Matty has decided to go to school in New York. If you need any help at all, I would be willing to provide some financial support. Don't you think it would be a great thing for Matty to be schooled in New York, Nancy Sue?"

"Why yes, Father, I do, I do."

Well, there you have it. This ends the first part of Guy's Secret, I hope you follow the adventure as we pick it up in New York City. Oh, and don't worry, we haven't heard the last of Judge Walters and his demise. Stay tuned for the next chapter to get the rest of the story.

I'd like to thank you all for letting me come into your lives. I'd also like to thank Wayne for standing in as my final editor.

Just, Justin <>
