Jason and Jordan's tale - 13

After yet one more mutual 69 gun salute, they rolled out of bed, showered together and both dressed in Jason's clothes. The shorts fitted Jordan fine but the shirt was a bit tight across the shoulders.

They went to the kitchen and Jason started making breakfast while Jordan went out the back to let the dogs off for a pee. He came back grinning.

"Damn. I wish I had a dog of my own."

Jason looked around and winked at him. "Woof, woof," he said.

"Down Boy. You'll wear me out."

"We'll wear each other out - what a way to go!"

"Yeah well, let's have some carbohydrates first."

Jason put two heaped plates of breakfast on the table - sausages, eggs, bacon, tomatoes and hash browns.

"Whoah. You trying to fatten me up, Jase?"

"Sure am. We'll put some meat on your bones, and then I'll suck it off."

"Yeah, I think you might actually. You don't always eat like this do you?"

"No. But today's a special occasion, my first breakfast with my first boyfriend."

"It is. It's mine too - my first and my last."

"Your last breakfast?"

"No, Dork. My last boyfriend. My first and last boyfriend."

"Cool, Jordie. Me too, I hope."

"Don't hope, Jase. Believe it."

"Shut up Jordie - eat."

They soon finished and Jason got up to get their drinks. Jordan sat back contentedly rubbing his full stomach.

"That was great, just great. Thanks Jason. You're a good cook. Bloody fantastic cook actually. Is there anything that you don't do well?"

"Umm, yeah. Just about everything actually."

"Just about nothing, more like. So,what do we do today? Shall we swim the dogs again?"

"No, not today. It's getting a bit cold for swimming everyday."

"What will we do then?"

Jason just grinned and winked suggestively at him.

"Oh yes! We can do that all right. Damm! Who's that?"

"How would I know? Wait here, I'll go and find out."

Jason went to answer the doorbell. Jordan got up, rinsed off the dishes and was loading them into the dishwasher when he came back.

"Who was it then? Oh. . . It's you."

"Hello Jordie." Michael followed Jason into the room. "Whatcha up to?"

"Whatever you can think of Michael. That's what we've been doing. Several times over too."

"What? Booze, drugs and Rock and Roll?"

"No. No booze, you know me better than that. None of the other rubbish either, but sex, lots of sex and it was great. Michael, you've met Jason. Jason is my boyfriend and I love him."

"Yeah, I know that. I knew that before you did I think. But does he love you?" Michael looked at Jason who just grinned at him.

"Oh yes,? Jason said. "He loves Jordie very much."

"Well, that's all good then. Is anyone going to make me a coffee?"

"Coming up," said Jason. "Sit down and talk to your brother."

"So, Jordan," said Michael, doing what he was told. "What are you doing here? Apart from the obvious that is. When are you coming home?"

"I don't know. Maybe I won't. Maybe this is my home now."

"No Jordan." Jason put two coffees on the table and went back for his tea. "You've got a home and a great family too. Be glad you've got them."

"What do you mean? Are you throwing me out now that you've had your wicked way with me?"

"Don't be silly, of course I'm not. I'll be here any time you want me to be, but you belong at home, with your mum and your dad, and your brothers too. They love you, Jordan. Be thankful for that, don't throw it away. I wouldn't, if I had a family like you have, I'd make sure that I kept them."

Jordan looked across at Jason and tears welled up in his eyes. "How can your family not love you?" he whispered. "How can anyone not love you?"

Jason grinned and made a joke of it. "I dunno, Jordie. I don't know how people can not love me, but they seem to manage it all right. Everyone except you that is and you'll probably get there one day."

"That's not gonna happen, Jase. That's not EVER going to happen." Jordan went around the table, lifted Jason to his feet and hugged him fiercely. "I love you, Jason McDonald. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love you totally!"

"It's definitely not a one-night stand then?" Michael grinned. "Good for you, Little Brother. You've got a bloody good friend there."

"Yeah. I have." Jordan released him and sat down again, smiling. "I really have, haven't I? Simply the best, thanks Mickey."

"Thanks? I'm on your side. Always. I'll always be there for you." He looked across at Jason and added. "I'll be there for both of you."

Jason blushed, put his head down and whispered. "Thank you Michael. You're a good big brother."

"Sure I am. And, I can be a good friend too - you'll find out. Are you coming home, Jordan?"

"Yes, I'm coming home," he sighed. "But not now, not yet. You can tell them that I'll be home for dinner and I'm bringing my boyfriend to eat with us. Shut up Jason, if I've got to do this then you've got to come with me.

Jason's coming with me and if anyone, including that bloody Sean, gives either of us any grief, then we're out of there and I won't be going back again." He took Jason's hand and held it up. "This is my Mate. This is my partner, I love him and I'm not giving him up for anyone."

"Thanks Jordie." Jason squeezed his hand. "Thanks, but I don't know if you can stay here anyway. I don't think my dad would buy that."

"We'll go and live somewhere else then. We'll pinch his campervan and we'll park it up in the bush somewhere."

"Sure we will. There's no electricity out there you know, and nothing works without it."

"We'll park it in the camping ground then. I'm serious about this, we can do it. We can get after-school jobs to pay for the electricity and stuff."

"You are serious, aren't you?" said Michael. "Don't worry; it's not going to come to that. Everyone's sorry and feeling a bit stupid about what happened yesterday, including bloody Sean. He's just a kid you know, and he's got a big mouth. He's struggling with this, but he'll get there. He does love you really you know."

"Bloody funny way of showing it."

"I know. Give him time, Jordie."

"I'll give him until six o'clock. We'll be there then and it's up to him whether we stay there or not."

"Okay, I'll tell him. I'll tell everybody and we'll see you then. I'd better get back, Mum will be chewing her fingernails. 'Bye Jordie. Goodbye Jason, thanks for the coffee."

"You're welcome. You're welcome anytime. Thanks Mickey."

"Mickey? You start calling me that and I'll box your ears, just like I do with him."

"Yeah?" They grinned at each other. "I think you would too. Thanks."

"Any time. 'Bye Boys, be good."

"We won't," Jordan grinned.

They sat there, still holding hands across the tabletop, and Michael saw himself out.

"Michael's a good guy," Jason said.

"Yeah, he is. I used to think that he was a jerk but I was wrong. He's a good one."

"Maybe you're wrong about Sean too."

"No I'm not. You heard him - he is a jerk."

"But he's your brother."

"Unfortunately, yes. So? We've got six or seven hours, shall we go back to bed?"

"Yes, we'll go back to bed, but not yet. There's plenty of time, let's take the dogs for a walk first."

"A walk, but not swimming?"

"Not today, just a walk. You coming?"

"Not at the moment, but I will be cumming later."

"Shut up, Jordie. And, yes you will."

They had a good day, a really good day. Jason put Jordan's clothes in the washing machine, and then they took the dogs out. They walked out of town, over the bridge across the river and halfway out to Carver's Beach.

They went as far as the Marvin's Creek Bridge, and then walked back again, left the dogs in the backyard, and rushed back to the bedroom.

Later, they rose and had a quick shower together. Jordan dressed in his freshly washed and dried clothes, Jason fed the dogs, then they walked across town, to the Top Shop at no.1, Main Street. Jason carried his sketchpad with him, there was going to be a good sunset, so they were going to go over to the lagoon and try to sketch it.

At the door of the shop, Jason hesitated. "I'm still not sure about this, Jordie."

"Come on, Jase, there's nothing to be nervous about. This is my home, I think. This is my family, I think. You are my mate, that I don't think, I know it. They accept you or they lose me, it's that simple. I'm not losing you now that I've found you." He took his hand, squeezed it and led him inside. "Come on Jason. Hello Dad."

"Jordan," Mr. Taylor smiled as he came out from behind the counter. "Welcome home, Son. And you must be Jason. Welcome to you as well, Jason. I'm Bill Taylor, nice to meet you."

He held out his hand and Jason took and shook it, still holding on to Jordan with the other hand.

"Thank you, Mr. Taylor. Nice to meet you too."

"All right then," Jordan beamed. "Thanks Dad. I love you, Dad. C'mon Jase, this way."

He led him back to the kitchen again. Mrs. Taylor stood up and stood in front of him.

"Jordan Robert Taylor. About time too. I've been worried sick."

"Hey Mum. You don't have to worry about me, I'm fine. Never been better."

"Maybe so, but I'll always worry about you Jordie. That's my job. Hello Jason. You've been looking after my boy, have you?"

"As well as I can, Mrs. Taylor. As much as he'll let me."

"Yes, well, that's probably not very much. Jason, I'm really sorry about yesterday."

"That's okay, Mrs. Taylor. That's all past now."

"It is all past now but it's not okay. I was wrong, I was very wrong to prejudge you like I did. We've been hearing good things about you. You've obviously made a big hit with Michael. Anyway, we should have known that Jordan wouldn't make a mistake, he's always been a good judge of character, and he's got good taste too."

"Thank you, Mrs. Taylor. I'm sure that he has got good taste but that wouldn't stop him from making a mistake sometimes."

"I don't think so, Jason. Not this time anyway. So will you sit down and have a cup of tea with me?"

"Thank you. I'd love a cup of tea."

Michael came in backwards, dragging Sean behind him. "Come on you idiot. It's only your brother, not the Spanish Inquisition. Hey Guys," he grinned over his shoulder. "Pleased you're here. We could never eat all the food that Mum's been cooking. Say hello, Sean. Say hello or I'll slap ya."

"All right! I said I would, didn't I? Hello Jordan. Hello Jason. I'm sorry I was mean to you."

"Hey Sean," Jordan replied. "Thanks. I'm sorry too - about the fight and everything. You throw a pretty mean punch you know. His grin was answered by a shy one from Sean.

"Yeah, well. I had a good teacher. Umm, can we talk? In private. Come up the back for a minute."

"Talk? Yeah, we can do that." Jordan got to his feet but Mrs. Taylor stood up as well.

"No, stay where you are. I've got to get the washing in anyway. You can talk here. Just watch those potatoes don't boil over would you?"

She went out, followed by Michael. Jason got to his feet as well. "Umm. I'll just wait outside, shall I?"

"No you won't. Sit down Jason." Jordan moved around and sat next to him. "You're not standing outside while we're in here talking about you. That is what we're talking about, Sean, right?"

"Yeah, of course it is - him and you."

"All right, let's talk then." Jordan brought his and Jason's clasped hands up and laid them on the tabletop between them.

Sean looked down at the hands and blushed. "Yes, let's. Look, to be honest, I just don't get this whole gay business."

"Gay business? What don't you get about it?"

"I mean, boys loving boys and kissing and all that crap. I just don't get it and as for the rest of it - the sex thing, like - Ewww! I don't even want to think about who does what to who."

"Whom," Jordan grinned.

"You what?"

"Whom. It's who does what to whom."

"Whatever. I don't want to know."

"Okay, so you're not gay then."

"No I'm not, not even a little bit. Michael's not either and I don't understand how you can be."

"Neither do I, Sean. I don't understand it either, I don't know why, but I know that I am - gay."

"Yes, gay. And you're gay too?" he looked at Jason.

"Yes. Of course I'm gay. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't, would I?"

"No, I guess not. So are you two like boyfriends and all that, or are you just screwing around?"

"Sean!" Jordan protested. "Of course we're boyfriends. I'm not a slut and neither is Jason. I love him and he loves me too."

"That's good, I suppose. Yeah, that's good if you're together - a couple together. I don't understand it but I'm trying to. Dad says that I've got to and so does Mum. She wanted to know everything I know about Jason, which wasn't much really, just what I've heard other people saying.

Michael says that if I don't get okay with this, he's going to punch my lights out, and then I'll have no brothers at all. I want to keep my brothers, Jordan. I like them."

"Yeah, your brothers like you too. When you're not being an annoying little shit that is."

"Hey," Sean grinned. "That's not going to stop completely. That's my job."

"You're good at it too, sometimes," Jordan grinned back at him.

"You don't have to understand it, Sean," Jason spoke up. "I don't understand it either. I don't know if anyone does really. All you have to do is accept it. Accept that things are the way they are."

"I guess. I think I could get to like you too really. You're okay, Jason, and if you can keep my grumpy arse big brother happy, well that's got to be good."

"Hey, that's MY job," Jason grinned.

"Yes it is," Jordan agreed. "And you're very good at it too. Okay, Little Brother. End of discussion, time for a hug I think."

"End of discussion, yes. Time for a hug, no. I'm not hugging anyone. Hug your boyfriend, Jordie. That's part of his job isn?t it?"

"Yeah. That's a huge part of his job."

"Right then!" Mrs. Taylor pushed in with an overflowing basket of washing. "Everything okay in here is it? I don't see any black eyes."

"No black eyes, Mum. Everything's sweet. I think that I just got my brother back."

"Well that's good, really good. I'm pleased to hear it, Boys."

"Okay. Come and see my room now, Jase."

"Umm. No."

"No? You don't want to see our room?"

"No thanks. Well, I do - but later. I haven't had my cup of tea yet."

"Nor have I. Good idea, Jason." Mrs. Taylor dropped the basket and picked up the teapot
