Gay

This fictional story of gay men is for persons over the age of eighteen.

Title; Kane. Chapter Seventeen.

The Manor had lights on and we could see the guards as they patrolled and though my watch pointed out that it was eight o'clock, I didn't see or hear Charlie and Nobby take out their two guards, or that of David and Mark, but Colin nudged me that Tracey had received the signal that it had been done and so another signal would have been passed round to the front for Mick.

I was sweating inside my clothes from the anticipation of going into action at any second and even so, was still unprepared for the explosion that sounded very loud as Mick set of his first charge. But I was still up first from the crouch before the other two and was running towards the light of the kitchen when the second explosion occurred just as I hit the kitchen door like a battering ram.

No finesse like knocking at the door and turning the handle. It was with my shoulder and full body weight that I hit it, taking the whole thing off its hinges as I stumbled in after it. Colin and Donald were right behind me firing their guns and knocking the shit out of the six people inside. I was pulled back up as we suddenly retreated and two stun grenades thrown back inside.

The noise was deafening, but we tore back inside and just clubbed all that we found in there. Another grenade went off to be followed by another almost immediately at the front part of the Manor, and we went on and into the dining room in time to hit two other people from the rear who'd survived one of the grenades.

Then we met the others in the big hall.

'All okay?' I shouted, still slightly deaf from the concussion of our grenades. I got a thumbs up and so we split apart to scour the ground floor.

I didn't know of Sir Bernard's bolt hole, and so I missed him as we swept through the Manor, joining up when the lower floor was cleared and we then tackled the upper floors. Servants were found on the top floor, cowering in their quarters who were spared and the place was ours, no opposition being found above ground level.

There was another burst of firing from outside and the sound of a vehicle revving very fast. I raced downstairs just as Tracey finished off the clip of rubber bullets, in time to see the brake lights come on as a car shot round a curve of the drive.

'I hit the bloody thing but it didn't stop,' he cried out.

'Who was it?' I shouted out.

'I think it was him. Bee Bee.'

'Fuck,' I swore as I watched the tail lights that had been switched on, disappear from sight. 'Let's get back inside.'

'I hit the bloody car several times,' Tracey cried out, 'but these fucking bullets of yours didn't stop him.' I laughed and put my arm round his shoulder and gave him a hug.

'It doesn't matter. You did well to be out here and but for those rubber bullets, you might have killed him. Now let's get inside and see what we've got.' I looked at my watch and saw that it was only nine minutes past eight. The whole action taking place with us coming out on top in less than ten minutes. Now to find out if we'd suffered any casualties and what we'd netted.

A cheer went up as we entered through the shattered front door by the rest of the squad. Tracey had taken off his beret and shook his head so that his hair had flared out and settled in its normal form to frame his feminine face. A quick head count showed me that all of ours were still standing and that made me very happy.

'Okay, get a couple of the servants down here to identify their own, the rest are to be tied up. Jump to it!' I shouted, 'before they recover. They use real bullets.' This galvanised them to move fast to secure every one they could find till all were dragged into the hall.

The head butler had been knocked out in one of the explosions, so it was the under butler who identified staff members among those tied up and so they were released and put into his care. For the rest, including those guards from outside, were laid out or were sitting up, tied for Tracey to identify those that he knew of being members of Boyle's gang. With a little persuasion on the part of my men, we got the names of the others. I got this under-butler to instruct the staff that they wouldn't be harmed and we would deem it hospitable if they were to lay on some food for us, the unexpected guests.

'That was a bloody good show Captain,' Charlie enthused as we settled down to a debrief of exactly what happened. There was a chorus of agreement from the others as we sat round the dining room table and were quickly served some food by the shaken servants of the Manor.

'Okay,' I said round a mouthful of chicken that I was eating, using my hands and fingers instead of a knife and fork. Wine had been supplied and it went down perfectly and I didn't make any limits on the men as to how much they should drink.

'The main bird got away, but we have his castle, and somewhere inside are his secrets. So when we've eaten, I want the place torn apart till we find what I've come to find. A safe, a strong room, I'm not sure, but you'll know it when we find it.'

We didn't have to tear the place apart for we were told where the safe was by the butler, who'd eventually come round. Mind you, the study was the first place we would have gone to in any case. It wasn't really a safe but more like a vault. It was behind a movable bookcase and proved to be a steel door that could only be opened by having the combination. The combination I used was explosives, the best lock picker in the business. I passed over one of the charges that I had been carrying to Mick and he set it up and blew the door clear off its hinges. So much for the combination.

It was an Aladdin's cave for me I found when the dust had settled. The vault, for that was what it looked like, was full of shelves. If it wasn't folders, files, boxes or packets, it was money. There were piles of it.

I immediately put it off limits to the squad and told them to find as many bags, suitcase, boxes, whatever, for us to get this lot out. While they went hunting out these items, Tracey being exempted from this task, helped me sort out some small stacks of this money we'd found, to pay off the guys. The rest, well a lot of it was going to be ours. The good guys which I think I was representing, could have the rest, along with all the files and boxes which I was sure was enough evidence to put Sir Bernard behind bars if he was ever caught.

The lads came back with what I'd asked for and so we emptied the vault and packed it away, leaving the money till last. This, I told them as we packed what I'd put aside, is for you to share out as your part of the spoils. The rest, the treasury gets which will keep them off our backs. This is for the staff, and so I had the butler get everybody lined up and to each, I gave a packet which contained at least a thousand pounds.

'Now let's get this straight,' I said. We were all out in the big hall as I gave each of them a packet. 'This place was suddenly attacked by who, you do not know, it was so quick. The thugs that we will be leaving behind were in the employ of Sir Bernard. You can say what you like about them, for the police will be here very shortly. Now I trust that these little packets that I've given you will have robbed you of any memory of what we look like. Do you understand what I'm saying?' I got lots of nods. 'Just remember that we were ten taking on twenty, so please, for your own sake, do not remember anything but the fact that the place was attacked and your boss fled, leaving you at the mercy of us. For I assure you, we will come back if any one of you identify us. I think the wage I have just paid you will ensure your silence.'

'Sir,' the butler said, stepping forward out of the line, 'if I may speak.' I nodded for him to continue. 'Even though I did suffer somewhat from your intrusion, I can assure you that we will do as you have advised.'

'Thank you, and I apologise for the mess we have made for you to clean up, but I don't think you will see Sir Bernard again for him to complain.'

With that, I gave a signal to the others and they began moving out the boxes and things while others went to fetch the vehicles to carry away our booty.

Even though we were only four in our car on the way home, you could feel the jubilation in the air. Tracey had smothered my blackened face with kisses, much to the amusement of the others and recounted at how excited he/she had been at firing at the fleeing car of Bee Bee. The mini bus had been loaded with the files etc, while the other cars held our weapons and the ordinance we didn't use, and we stopped and piled out at our flat back in London.

It was a party. Everybody used the shower to get out of their fatigues and into their own clothing and then had a celebratory drink, well, more than one. The accolades that kept coming was most embarrassing for me at the conclusion of a successful attack again without loss as per my previous excursions into enemy held territories whilst leading them.

Tracey, having showered, made up his face and put on his best dress, rather low cut I thought, sat and lapped up the plaudits that was being given to me. They knew I was bonking him, or her as they thought of Tracey, and couldn't stop saying at how wonderful I was as a commander. As I said, it was most embarrassing for me, but Tracey loved it.

They were still partying as midnight approached and I then drew Charlie aside.

'Now I'm not quite sure of what we are doing, but this is what I want you to do. But first, is that mini bus clean?'

'Er, not quite. We pinched it this morning from Portobello Road. Changed the plates though.'

'Okay,' I said slowly, thinking fast. 'Okay, we can handle that. Now I want you to park this outside the apartment and go over to the parked watchers and tell them that I nicked the van and the contents are for the Treasury. Add that I've counted every penny of what's inside and expect to see the same figure on the report, if I ever get to see it that is. You were just given the van by me and had nothing to do with it but deliver it as per my instructions. Okay?'

'Perfect sir,' smiling as he had just earned ten thousand pounds this evening, now whether it was genuine money or forged, I didn't give a shit, and I think he didn't care either, for it would soon be lost in the economy somewhere. What was the problem with another hundred thousand floating about considering the billions I would be saving the government?

So with giving my thanks to all and saying what a splendid job that they had done, we started saying our farewells, me getting handshakes and thanks for the chance to relive old times, not forgetting the bonus. Tracey getting more than enough kisses from them all which he seemed to enjoy and for me to see that he loved the attention. I contained my laughter at what thoughts they might have had if they but knew that they had been kissing another man as they said their goodbyes.

With the door finally shut, Tracey came to me and almost slumped into my arms as he kissed me.

'By Christ! I've married myself not to a man, but a God. Them buggers actually love you as I do, though in their own way. You gave them back excitement to which I was thrilled to be involved in. It?it was incredible! You looked at the place and decided to take it. You planned it and it worked. You must be very pleased with yourself for doing it.'

'I?I, well, I don't know what to say to that. I just seemed to know what to do, so I did it. Of course, I couldn't have done it without their help, but?.well, there it is.'

'Oh you lovely understating man,' he cried as he kissed me. 'You said that this will be done and it was! It was thrilling, it was exciting and I'm so happy that we had a happy ending for it,' and continued to plaster my face with kisses. Well there was only one thing left for us to do, and so we went down onto the carpet and I fucked him nearly senseless such was the surge of power I got from his words.

Cushions from the sofa under his hips and his dress riding high, his legs up on top of my shoulders, I ploughed and fucked that lovely little hole that belonged to the body that I loved. And all the time as I was moving my raging, throbbing cock in and out of him, he was smiling up at me and making kissing motions with his lips. I came with such violence that I'd not known before, my cock almost bursting itself as I came inside him as he squeezed me as tight as he could.

God, he looked lovely there sprawled on the carpet, his hair splayed out like a fan that surrounded his beautiful face that still held traces of lipstick that I hadn't kissed off yet. He was a wanton with his dress up over his hips as his legs seemed light up on my shoulders as my cock still throbbed deep inside him.

Such was my love and passion for him that I didn't even stop to wash myself when I slipped out of him for his legs to come down and me to take his erection in my mouth and suck on him till he came. His legs had come back over my shoulders as I lay on the floor, my unwashed cock scraping the carpet as I sucked and took his coming into my mouth to taste and savour before swallowing.

Only after he had been satisfied did I release him and get up to go and get undressed properly and take a shower. I didn't, or rather, couldn't stop him from seeing to the washing of myself. Even when washed, he still took me into his mouth to suck on me even though there wasn't any emission, he still sucked and told me how much he loved me.

We were both pleased to find that our exertions hadn't burst the stitches that were still in my side when he did the dressings for me. Then we went to bed where, an hour later, we were both so aroused again from our fondling of each other, that we had the other again. It was a mutual fucking that showed how much I loved him and he loved me.

Our first hour of waking the next morning was to show our love again by sucking on each others' cock till we came, to share the same experience and take the essence that was given in that name. I think I was now looking at Tracey through rose coloured spectacles as I watched him put on his stockings to fix them to his suspender belt before putting on the padded bra and then pirouette around before adding a see through dressing gown, which as the name implies, I could see his small cock and balls framed as I liked between the black straps and belt.

He came and kissed me and then went off humming to fix us some breakfast. I went into the kitchen naked and by the time we'd finished eating, I was hard again, and so, he came and sat on my lap for another session.

Where I got the strength from, I don't know, but I liked having my cock up inside him again as I held him tight as he bounced up and down on me till I came with as much gusto as if it were the first time that morning.

It was a couple of hours later that I went down the road to a public telephone to ring up Charlie. I cursed myself on the way that I hadn't got one of the other guy's telephone number, so I was being forced to use Charlie's.

'All done?' I asked without any preamble.

'All done. Surveillance has gone, but phone might still be tapped.'

'Roger,' and I rang off, pleased that the Special Branch had the mini bus with its contents and that Charlie or my place ceased to be watched. The phone tap I wouldn't know if and when it would be taken off. So I was fairly light hearted when I went back to our flat. That feeling was short lived.

I opened the door and went on into the lounge to find four men in there. My hand automatically went into my coat and I then cursed myself for not having put on the shoulder holster before I went out to the phone. I was unarmed and facing four quite large men, Tracey, white faced, was sitting down behind them on the sofa.

'Marcus Kane?' asked the man who was at the forefront of the others.

'No. Phineas Fogg. I've just been round the world in eighty days.'

'That's funny,' he said, not smiling. 'We believe you were in Wiltshire last night.'

'Well now, that is funny. What makes you think that?'

'Last night, we were delivered a bus full of papers that was reported as coming from you. These papers came from a place in Wiltshire.'

'So what does that mean?'

'That you are coming with us.'

'Have you got a warrant?'

'We don't need one Mr Kane. You and the lady are coming with us.'

'Leave her out of this,' I said.

'Sorry. Those are our orders, so please, no rough stuff. You might bust those stitches in your side.' I knew then I had no choice. Especially if they knew about my side wound. They probably knew a lot more than they had divulged, so I couldn't do anything but shrug my shoulders. One of them indicated Tracey to stand up and took his arm and led him out before me. I followed and saw that they now had three cars outside, and Tracey was escorted to one, and me to another.

I wasn't surprised to see that we went into Whitehall and take a small side entrance that sloped down into an underground car park. With the cars safely inside, they parked and we were escorted to an elevator and I couldn't see what floor button he pressed, but it wasn't a long ride before the doors opened and we were hustled out into a thick carpeted corridor.

I hadn't seen any plaques on arrival, but guessed we were somewhere inside the Foreign Office. The place we were in was plush enough for me to be right considering the tax payer paid for it. A few doors along from the lift, our escort knocked at a door and after a gruff unintelligible reply, he opened it and ushered us inside.

'It's okay Wells. Stay outside please,' said the man behind a huge desk as he rose up from his chair behind it and came round to show us with an open hand where we might sit.

'Come, sit down. Make yourselves comfortable. Drink?'

'A large gin and tonic,' Tracey said immediately. 'Two! I need one as I think my friend does after the way we've been dragged here.' The man ignored this outburst from Tracey as he poured out two large drinks and passed them to us before he went and sat down behind the desk.

'Dragged Mr. Spencer?' he asked, even if it was several minutes since Tracey had spoken.

'I beg your pardon?' Tracey asked.

'You heard, Mister Spencer. Oh yes we know all about you. A female impersonator, late of the Blue Parrot in Berlin. A somewhat seedy dive I've been led to believe. But it's not you were are here to talk about, it's Mr. Kane. How are you Marcus? That must have been some bullet you took to bring about your amnesia.' I didn't respond immediately. I took a little time to sip at my drink as I took in my surroundings. The office wasn't over furnished. Just his desk with chair. The two club chairs we were sitting in and a small bar that could be concealed to look like part of a bookcase. There was only one picture on the panelled walls and that was of the Queen. There were a couple of knick-knacks on the desk that I couldn't really see what they were, but otherwise, the place was most austere.

'Who are you?' I asked, ignoring his question as to my well being.

'I, Marcus, am your boss, if I might put it like that. You have been working for me for the past four years, though, if it is true what has been said, you cannot remember this.'

'In that you are right,' I conceded, speaking somewhat with a hostile manner. 'I don't know you or what you are saying.'

'Okay. Let me fill you in. You were a captain in Her Majesty's Forces and was brought before a court martial for striking a superior officer. Those present at the alleged attack, denied that you struck a blow that rendered the general unconscious. How he came to be in that condition, nobody knew or could answer the question. That the fact that they all committed perjury is neither here or there. I, upon hearing of this during the trial, intervened and offered you a position that I thought you had a talent for. You accepted and the trial never came to a decision because you resigned your commission before a verdict could be reached. It was a brave decision because it implied guilt but you accepted that.

Since then, you have been out on several undercover missions, all of which, I might say, were excellent in their planning and execution. You worked as an agent in the field with your control, one William Tolliver.' I think he saw me give a slight move at the mention of that name and was quick to perceive it.

'He, unfortunately, was not really up to your standard and did make a few mistakes, for which I blame myself, but that is hindsight. You survived and he didn't. I regret his loss but welcome wholeheartedly your survival considering what you have gone through.

In spite of losing your memory because of a bullet, you somehow still had it somewhere in your mind what you were in Berlin for. You were there to do exactly what you finished up doing, and that was to find out about the manufacturing of fake currency of Germany and of England. What was more outstanding was that you traced it back to England. One Sir Bernard Brakestone, who I can tell you now, has fled the country.

It took us several days to begin to piece bits together because, as good as his intentions were, Mr Spencer threw a spanner in the works by hiding you.' He saw the looks that passed between Tracey and myself and I'm sure he understood my look of anger that I directed towards him.

'Look! The fact that Mr. Spencer is a practising homosexual and that you have both been co-habitating has nothing to do with me. Your sex life is of no interest to me as long as it doesn't affect or?.'

'Look!' Tracey had got up and looked like some fury out of a Wagner opera. 'The name is Tracey, so drop the mister. Yes, I'm a homosexual, but I pulled this poor bugger who'd been shot in the head and helped heal him. Yes, we have sex and we both enjoy it. But it hasn't affected him in the slightest in what he does. He didn't even know the fucking time of day when he came round from that head wound. But let me tell you this mister big shot,' he was now leaning on and over the desk. 'He did what he thought he had to do. That he did it is to his credit and it had nothing to do with you! We've been shot at and been in fights. His control as you call it, was killed right next to me and if it hadn't been for Marcus, I too would have died at the same time. He's done more than I think you expected and now you are fucking well sitting there trying to pat him on the back and yet still sneer at the fact that I love this man. Yes, I love him and he loves me. He fucks me like you fuck him. You are the cause of him being in this state. Sending him out with an incompetent that gets killed. Leaving too many clues for us to follow up, not knowing where we are going, avoiding gangs and gunfights and then hit and find the spider in the middle of the web and then you try to preach to us. Go to fucking hell! I need another drink or some fresh air!' He snatched the empty glass from my hand and went to get a refill and I felt very proud of him for what he had said for I couldn't have put it better myself and I clapped my hands and gave a big smile to the man behind the desk. He had the graciousness to go slightly pink in the face and give me a wan smile.

'Forgive me, er, Tracey for my brusqueness?.'

'No. You were being sanctimonious.'

'I apologise most profusely Tracey for it wasn't intended, so let us get down to the events of last night.'

'Nothing happened last night,' Tracey said. 'He was in bed. With me!'

'I appreciate your loyalty Miss Tracey but not the untruths.'

'Cut the sarcasm,' Tracey replied in a low voice.

'Okay. Brakestone Manor was trashed last night?'

'Like Tolliver's place,' Tracey interrupted, the fact seeming to catch him by surprise.

'That I didn't know,' he admitted.

'Well you're not as big as you think you are then,' said Tracey.

'Hold it back Tracey,' I said. 'You've made your point and I think he knows where he and we stand.'

'If you say so Marcus. But I won't have him saying a word against you considering what you've done.'

'Okay, okay, but now let him finish.'

'Thank you Marcus. Police were called to Brakestone Manor and found that parts of the place had been demolished and several people bound and showed signs of trauma.' Tracey sniggered at this. 'The staff said that these, er, villains they called them, had caused disruption and had been overcome. Of course. Their stories conflicted so much it became a farce to try and get an accurate statement from any of them. Did you bribe them Marcus?'

'I was in bed with Tracey. She has already said this.' Tracey leaned over and gave my hand a squeeze.

'Oh for Christ's sake!' he roared standing up. 'You knocked over the place. Tied up the opposition for us to find. A mini bus is delivered, with your compliments that will take the Treasury men a year to sift through. If the prognosis is correct, Brakestone will be indicted if he is found and you broke up what you were originally sent out to do. The only thing I can say after that is, well done,' and he held out his hand to me which would have been churlish to refuse. 'Now Tracey, I see that you've finished your drink, would you like another one?' I couldn't help but smile and accepted another one myself.

'I can only repeat myself by saying well done Marcus. To take on that Manor without any loss of life was brilliant. Do you really know how much money was in the mini bus?'

'To the last ten pound note,' I grinned.

'Well I'd better let the boy's know. In case they get tempted.'

'Er, there is one question I'd like to ask. Well more than one really, I've got a whole host of them. Where did the Special Branch first pick us up?'

'When you arrived at Dover.'

'I thought as much. What about the shoot out on the A40?'

'All taken care of. We even have the Boyle brothers in custody already in respect of handling counterfeit money. Plus breaking and entering and a lot of other charges as well.'

'Wilson?'

'Skipped the country as no doubt Brakestone has done. We'll be hitting everyone in Europe soon because of what you uncovered.'

'Not just me. If Tracey hadn't had helped, I wouldn't have been able to do it.' Tracey gave me a smile and a small lift of his glass.

'For which I and the government are most grateful. Now if you would be so kind as to give me a written report as to your activities in this affair within the next few days and take a couple of weeks off so that the wound in your side can heal properly.'

'For that, I have an excellent nurse,' I said as I looked at Tracey. 'By the way, you have said that I work for you. What is your name?'

'This will haunt you,' he chuckled. 'It's Spencer.'
