We both walked hand in hand to John's hotel. I drew a bubble bath in the huge tub and called John in. He stripped off all of his clothes and stepped into the warm water then sat. I started rubbing the bar of soap on his strong biceps. Then I worked on his chest. I rubbed some of the soap on my hands then rubbed his pecs with my hands. He moaned as I worked on his nipples. I slowly jacked him off as I was cleaning him.

I walked into the bedroom and started whatching TV. As I was watching TV, John walks out with a box in his hand. He opens the box and it has his class ring. He pulls it out of the box and slips the ring on to my left ring finger.

"Charles, ever since that day by the pier, I have loved you with every bone in my body", he said.

"I can definitely name on that you have loved me with", I said.

He laughed then retorted, "I am trying to be serious here. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

"I can't marry you", I said.

"Why not?" he asked.

"We are two men. There is no way we can legally marry", I responded.

"We don't need a god damn piece of paper!", he yelled, "All that matters is that we love eachother and want to make a lifetime commitment. We only need to be married in the eyes of ourselves and the eyes god!"

"Yes I will marry you!" I said with tears in my eyes. He held me in his arms and stroked my hair.

EPILOGUE

We've been together until two years ago. John left me, but not in the way your thinking. He lost his battle with cancer brought on by agent orange. Today is his birthday, and I am missing him more and more. I would trade everything I own for one more second of the love of my traveling soldier.
