Words from our author: Heellllooooo, my peeps! We on the brick? I know we on the thick. I am upset. I just heard; I mean I just listened to an Eminem song I thought I liked. You might know the one; its words from his fan Stan. Stan writes him several letters, the letters go unanswered. Stan claims to be his number one fan, "We should be together" Stan tells Eminem. Stan tells the singer that he has repeated some behavior that was sung about. Eminem tells Stan, be careful some things I sing are not real. He goes onto say "Don't be crazy".

I know exactly how Eminem feels to that point, here's where I take offense; Eminem tells his fan, "What do you mean we oughta be together? Words like that make me scared of ya" Eminem then hits it home when the supposed Tower Record representative tells us, "I can't make a record about homosexuals and vicaden." Excuse me?

I know that some where out there in our world a young man heard those words. I know that young man felt shame and guilt. Do you think words like that make him feel good? Did you help an already bad situation? This is why people who haven't had real pain in their lives should sing rap; they haven't got a clue. In the words of Nas, "this shit is real, this aint no comic strip."

I can only hope that these words reach the one young man out there. I love you. I accept you the way you are. Accept yourself as you are. Walk proud my little one, for you are a chosen one, hold your head up in pride. Just stay the hell away from Eminem and his kind.

He sat in the burgundy leather, high back desk chair; his feet upon the solid cherry desk. The large black office phone on his right chirped. He pulled the chair back and lowered his feet to the Oriental rug under the desk. He reached for the phone.

"William Rogers." The lawyer said into the receiver.

"Yes, Mr. Rogers it's me Gustov Hanikoght." The voice with a German accent came through the phone.

"It's good to hear from you, Mr. Hanikoght. I trust you received the package?" Rogers said into the phone. His face went stone, no thought or emotion could be seen on it.

"Yes, sir, I did. I have a buyer for the work. The offer is twenty five thousand American." The German man said.

"Good, close the deal. I'll see the funds by week's end I trust." Luke's dad said to the German on the phone.

"Very good, Mr. Rogers, I will have the monies into your account by close of the business Friday, your time, no later than 5:00 P.M." Came the German voice through the phone lines.

"Wonderful, we'll talk again Monday." Rogers said and hung the phone up. He reached his hand to the intercom to the right of the phone.

"Cassandra, could you come in here please?" The fortyish lawyer said into his intercom.

There was a slight knock on the door. You could hear the hinges as the door opened. Not that the mechanical pins squeaked, no it was more like the sound of air moving. She stepped into the office; her stride was with purpose. Her long black hair flowed over her shoulders; her blue eyes were the most prominent features on her face. Her name was Cassandra Tacano; she had been Rogers's assistant for the last five years. She was up for Junior Partnership in the firm, she hoped for the international clientele.

"Yes, Bill. What can I do for you?" Tacano asked in her soft, seductive voice.

"Can you take a deposition from Mrs. Earheart? She's the one suing Tower Records because her son committed suicide after hearing some song. The firm is pushing the case forward." Rogers asked his friend.

"When and where? You know I'll do it for you, lover." Cassandra said, as she went behind the desk and gave Rogers a long and passionate kiss.

"Did you lock the door?" Rogers asked, as he slipped his hands down her sides.

"Don't I always?" She asked him, and began kissing him again.

Meanwhile, back in Sturbridge the boys have just arrived at the Jensen's cabin.

"Wow." It was all I could say.

"You like it?" Travis asked me.

"You know it. Look at the view of the lake from this window." I said, thinking it would be great to paint it. I took my hat off and threw it on the sofa just under the window.

"Lets get settled, then we can take a walk around. I wanna show you something." Travis said to me. God he was so cute, and those lips.

We both unpacked our backpacks. Travis assigned me a couple of drawers in the bedroom dresser. He had the top two and gave me the bottom two. I couldn't help but watch him unpack his clothes; I wanted to see his underwear. I guess that sounds kind of nutty, but I can't help the way I feel. He had like all American Eagle Outfitter boxers they were plaids. I imagined him in them. He also had a pair of bikini briefs, red, too. I couldn't help thinking "is he?"

The bedroom was real neat. The walls were all wainscoting, light in color. The ceiling was plaster and had big wooden beams criss-crossing it. The room had two twin beds; Travis picked the one under the windows. He said, "You'd be closer to the bathroom that way." Add thoughtful to his list of attributes.

"Travis, man, thanks." I said.

"No man, thank you for coming with me." My newly discovered friend said in return.

Our things packed, Travis said. "Hey let's do that hike now."

"We haven't left yet?" I asked, as I followed him to the door.

We took the trail that led from the driveway up the hill behind the wooden chalet style cabin. As we climbed the hill I would look off through the trees, the sights were spectacular. I really appreciated the fact that someone bigger than us had to create it all. I guess what made me really believe in God, was when I noticed the man's face on the moon. I know I'm not crazy, others have seen the same face on the moon as they look at it. He had to create it all. I mean how do you think the face got there?

We crested the summit about forty-five minutes later. To say the view was breathtaking was cliche, and an understatment. You could truly see for miles. In the very distance you could see a large mountain. The colors were abundant; I could see greens, blues, grays, purples, whites and many more. I had to paint this. I had to.

"What do you think?" Travis asked me, his breaths coming in pants.

"What is that mountain over there?" I asked.

"That's Mount Tom, its in Holyoke; only about thirty miles from here. I've skied it." Travis said, smiling at me and looking into my eyes.

"Its beautiful. What does it look like at sunset?" I just had to see all the colors with this view were my thoughts, as I asked him.

"It's the best time of day, because it's west of us." Travis said and smiled; he took my hand and turned my body to the east.

There was a huge reservoir; you could see it reveling in its magnificence, about half way between the next mountain and us. The sun was shining off the water; it was also making little prisms appear in the ice dotting the other mountain.

"Now there is a beauty for a sun up." Travis said, as he pointed it out.

"MMM." Was all I could say. I took it all in. I especially liked the fact that he never took his arm away from me after he turned me. He kept his arm across my shoulders. I felt great.

We stood there for a little while longer. I heard his stomach growl. It was loud and long. I burst out laughing.

"Come on dude; let's get something to eat. My treat." I said, between chuckles.

"It was kind of loud, huh?" Travis asked, with that insecure sound to his voice.

"Nah, more like earth shattering." I quipped.

"For that, you wait and see what I order." Travis said, as he began to start the journey down the hill.

Along the walk back down the hill we decided to go to Roms Restaurant for lunch. Travis explained it was "the" place to eat. He said it was too expensive for us at dinner, but lunch was in our budget. It was Italian, we both loved Italian.

It had gotten to be about four in the afternoon. The winter sun had begun to set as we made our journey back to the cabin in the Acura. The ride was quiet as we sat in silence taking in the sights together. Travis pointed out all his interests along the ride. I just thought to myself how very lucky I was to have him in my life. It was as I had known him forever, and yet, just began to know him.

It started to snow as we got to the cabin. Travis decided we'd have a fire. We both collected fire wood from the wood pile along the side of the cabin. We each took a couple of armfuls into our sanctuary. We placed the wood on the wide plank floor near the fireplace. Travis got some kindling out of the firebox next to the chimney. He piled the small sticks on the bottom of the fireplace. Then he put a couple of the smaller pieces of wood on top. He reached up on the wooden mantel, mounted on the stone fireplace and took down some fire starter fluid. He sprayed a small amount onto the wood, stuck a match and tossed it in. Instant fire.

I sat on the sofa under the bay window, took my shoes off and watched the flickering flames. Travis came over and sat right next to me. He looked at me and smiled.

"What?" I asked. "Is my lunch hanging off my chin or something?"

We both began to laugh. It was like we had so much in common, even our idiosyncrasies.

"No, you nut." Travis laughed harder, as he said it.

He reached his left hand to my right thigh, and then he just left it there to rest. I could feel my hormones stir. I felt so good having another human being feel that comfortable with me. At the same time I was scared. I was afraid to show my real feelings. As much as I loved him touching me, I couldn't show my true feelings.

"Can I ask you something, Luke?" Travis looked into my eyes as he asked.

I leaned my head back onto the back of the sofa. "Sure you can ask me anything you want." I said, as I got more comfortable.

Whew, wow. That's enough. You dirty dawgs. Thanks for staying with me. Hey thanks for all your letters and instant messages. I appreciate you all.
