Mentoring, Chapter 2

As the morning sun began to flood the bedroom, Neil opened his eyes slowly. For a moment, he felt disoriented, but soon realized where he was. He got up to pee, and then slipped into the gym shorts Aidan had loaned him the day before.

The aroma of bacon cooking drew him toward the kitchen. Aidan stood at the stove, in nothing but boxers and an apron, stirring a pan of scrambled eggs. Neil came up behind him and wrapped his arms around his shoulders.

"You're up just in time. I was about to call you."

"Anything I can do?"

"Yeah, get the English muffin halves out of the toaster and put in the next two, please."

They worked together in finishing up the details and then sat down to eat.

"Did you sleep okay, or did I take up too much of the bed?" Aidan asked.

"It was great! I loved being skin to skin all night. I had a bunch of awesome, sexy dreams and you were in all of them."

"How about staying again tonight?"

"I need to go to the laundromat, or I'll have nothing to wear next week," Neil sighed.

"Aren't there machines in your apartment complex?"

"There're too few for too many people. It's easier to go somewhere else."

"You should bring your stuff over here to wash. We could do some school work and maybe catch a little sun if it warms up enough."

"That sounds good, but I can't take advantage of you all weekend."

"No, you can't because that's impossible since it's me who's taking advantage of you. I want to feel you out about something anyway."

"Okay, I'll get my dirty clothes after breakfast."

"And after we get our shower."

"Don't you mean `showers'?"

"Nope. I promise to keep my hands off of your junk, but I really want to be naked with you."

"Okay."

The guys cleaned up the kitchen and then their bodies. They managed not to give in to temptation, and stuck to getting clean. Aidan loaned Neil another pair of gym shorts and a T to wear home. Neil enjoyed the idea of going commando in Aidan's clothes.

They spent the rest of the morning doing laundry and marking papers for their classes. When it got close to noon, they stopped to fix lunch.

"I brought along some cold cuts and bread for sandwiches," Neil announced. "I stuck `em in your fridge. I hope you like the French loaves from Milio's."

"I love them! You didn't just happen to have all of this in your fridge did you?"

"No, I stopped on the way back here," he admitted.

"You didn't have to do that."

"Yeah I did. You fed me last night and I have to contribute if we're now equals like you said yesterday."

"Okay, that's cool. I have a new bag of kettle chips to contribute. Let's build lunch!"

"So what was it you wanted to feel me out about, or did you mean feel me up?" Neil joked.

"Both!" Aidan responded. "As you know, the week after next is spring break. May I ask what your plans are?"

"They're pretty exciting; they involve sitting in my apartment mostly."

"How would you like to go to South Padre Island with me?"

"It's probably too late to get a flight reservation and I really can't afford a ticket anyway, but I'd love to some other time."

"Here's the deal. I'll be driving down, so you won't need a ticket. It won't take much extra gas to haul your gorgeous little butt along with me."

"My clothes would weigh something too," Neil grinned, enjoying the teasing.

"Not much, because we won't need many if we spend most of our time on the beach, especially if we can find a clothing-optional one."

"Aidan, I don't want to feel like a kept man."

"It's okay, I'd really like to keep you..."

"Aren't they gonna charge extra for two people in the motel?"

"Not in my parents' share-time condo."

"Um, this isn't a meet-the-family trip is it? I think we should get to know one another better before planning a wedding."

"We've known each other longer than a lot of couples do before getting engaged, but no, it's not to meet my parents. They're in Paris for half of this month and most of April. My mother has always aspired be there in the spring. She's such a romantic."

"Tel mere, tel fils," Neil chuckled.

"Easy for you to say; what does that mean?"

"Like mother, like son, I hope." Neil answered. "My high school French is pretty rusty."

"Whatever. Are you willing to spend the week with me? It might give us a better idea of how compatible we are."

"I suppose you'd like an answer soon so you can plan."

"You can tell me anytime as long as the answer is `yes,'" Aidan smirked.

"Okay."

"Is that okay I'm coming' or okay I'll tell you soon,' or what?"

"Yes, I'd be delighted to go with you. Maybe we can pick up a stud on the beach."

"Seriously?"

"NO, I'm rattling your cage. I'm a one-man type of guy."

"So am I," Aidan sighed in relief.

The week before the start of spring break dragged for everyone, not just the students. Aidan was as eager as anyone to have it pass so he could begin his adventure with Neil.

On Wednesday, Neil and he ate lunch in his room as they often did, usually along with several other teachers. Today it was just the two of them initially.

"Will we be driving by Andover, Kansas?" Neil asked.

"Yup, the pike is quickest way to go. Is there a special reason for asking?"

"My grandmother lives in the area and she got in touch with me this morning. She tracked me down with her computer and she'd love to see me if it wouldn't be too much trouble. She'd like us to stay over, and that would save us a motel room on the way."

"We could do that, but I thought she didn't have anything to do with you."

"She didn't, as long as my mother was able to threaten her. Mother told her she'd end up in a nursing home without any family to care for her if she dared to contact me. At the time, Grandma didn't have a lot.

"Well, two things happened recently. Grandma's cousin died and left her a pot-load of money and my mother suffered a stroke and she's in a nursing home. How's that for a twist of fate? Grandma visits her occasionally, but isn't going to overdo it after all the years she terrorized her emotionally!"

"Wow, I guess we do need to make the stop. So, this might turn into a meet-the-family trip after all, but for me instead of you. Will we see your grandfather too?"

"She told me he died a couple of years ago."

"That's too bad."

"Hi guys, I had a student, you know Bret, I think, come in for help and couldn't get away," Marie said as she entered the room carrying her lunch bag. "Where's Lois? Oh that's right; she said we shouldn't monopolize your lunchtime every day."

"Why would she worry about that?" Aidan wondered aloud.

"Well, you know, um, she thought you might have things you wanted to, um, discuss between you in private, with the mentoring and all."

"If we wanted privacy, we'd close the door," Aidan frowned. "I don't get it?"

"Oh, never mind. I can't stay anyway because I need to go to the office and the restroom before lunch period ends, so I'll have to eat on the run today," Marie said. "I'll see you later."

"That was kinda weird," Neil remarked.

"Yeah, what do you make of it?"

"It doesn't make sense unless someone's figured us out, you know, like maybe we've been sending out mating signals..."

"I suppose that would explain it," Aidan blushed. "Why would they think we needed privacy otherwise?"

"So, should I stop eating with you until the term's over?"

"Don't you dare! Since I already turned in my report on your performance last Monday, there's no way I could be exploiting you for, um, favors or that you could be `buying' my good will with your body, so there shouldn't be any more talk than when a principal was dating a certain staff member in the next district without making it public."

"But that was a case of a hetero couple, wasn't it?"

"And there aren't cases of coaches and assistants of the same gender getting married to each other?"

"Oh yeah, you told me about that. I guess it's all good whether we keep our, um, `friendship' secret or not."

"Isn't it more than a friendship?"

"Okay, relationship, um – love affair."

"That's better; now let's close the door long enough for a kiss in private to see us through the afternoon."

Friday eventually arrived, and since it was the last day before a vacation, teachers could leave as soon as the students if they didn't run over any of them in their haste to vacate the campus.

The men had packed everything in Aidan's convertible the night before and had driven to school together. That hadn't required a detour since Neil had slept over. As a result, they were around 65 miles from town by the time they would normally have been leaving school, and that included a quick stop at a rest area to peel off their shirts and put the top down.

Around 6:30, Aidan pulled into a fast food drive-in to get their supper. If they had stopped and sat down in the dining room, it would cost them at least an extra 15 or 20 minutes of time, and they didn't want to be any later than necessary in getting to Neil's grandmother's house.

As soon and Neil had downed his food, he offered to drive. Aidan pulled over in a rest area to make the switch and they both decided to pee while they were already stopped. Both stepped back from the urinals enough to show off their equipment to one another. It caused them to giggle as they thought about how they were acting like the teenagers they taught.

Back on the road, Aidan programmed Rose's address into MapQuest on his phone. Fortunately, it appeared to be a pretty straight shot to her condo from the pike. After completing the task, he nodded off for a while, confident that Neil was competent behind the wheel.

It was nearing 10:00 when the men pulled into Rose's driveway. She was out of the door before Neil had turned off the engine. He immediately got out, greeting his grandmother.

They stood by the garage in an emotion-filled embrace. Aidan stayed back to give them space. After a minute or so, Rose wiped her eyes and turned to him.

"You must me Neil's young man. It's nice to meet you."

"Grandma, he's not exactly my young man. We're not engaged or anything."

"Oh d-dear, I didn't mean to imply...," she stammered. "I don't exactly know what one says these days."

"It's nice to meet you too, Mrs. Palmer. And I like the idea of being Neil's young man. If I'm not his, I'm no one's. We've known each other for nearly nine months, and only recently started dating, but I'm in love!"

"Oh, you're so sweet! Neil would be a fool not to keep you."

"Grandma, I'm sorry I said anything about Aidan and me, but I'm so glad you like my boyfriend. There, I've called him what he is. Thanks for being open to our, um, relationship," Neil said.

"I may be an old woman, but I don't have a petrified brain like so many of my contemporaries! Love between any two people is a beautiful thing. I don't care whether or not they can reproduce. That's not a qualification for the right to be a couple. If it were, no one my age would be able to marry again."

"Do you have a gentleman friend?"

"No, and I'm not looking for one. I finally have a comfortable life and I'm not letting some old gigolo swindle me out of what I have.

"Well, we need to get inside where it's warmer. Spring is here, but the evenings still cool off rapidly when the sun goes down."

"Yeah, we had to put the top up shortly after we ate," Neil said.

"Bring in whatever you need for overnight and I'll show you to your room. I assume that boyfriends are okay with sharing a bed. If not, I have another room made up."

"You assume correctly, Mrs. Palmer," Aidan smiled.

"Oh, please don't be formal. I'd rather you call me Nana or Rose."

"Okay, Nana Rose. I don't have much in the way of family other than my parents; my grandparents passed on several years ago. I'll be pleased to claim you."

Rose ushered the men into a large bedroom located next to the main bathroom. It held not only a queen sized bed, but a recliner and another upholstered chair facing a wide-screen TV.

"Make yourselves at home. If you're not sleepy, you may want to watch the late news. In the meantime, please join me in the kitchen if you like. I have cheese and crackers, fruit, and homemade cookies that came out of the oven an hour ago."

The guys sat at the kitchen table enjoying their snack. The fruit was especially welcome after their hasty fast-food supper. The cookies were divine!

After a bit, Aidan's eyes grew heavy and he asked to be excused to take a shower and go to bed.

"You can stay up as late as you like, Neil, but I'm going to sleep so I can drive while you nap tomorrow. Thanks, Nana, for the great snack!"

"You're welcome, Aidan. I won't keep your YOUNG MAN up too late; I promise."

They all chuckled at her teasing.

Aidan roused slightly when Neil slipped into bed with him, snuggling against his back. It felt so natural that he didn't wake up completely.

When Neil awoke in the morning, he was alone in bed. He smelled bacon and coffee, so he knew someone was making breakfast. On the way to the bathroom, he heard muffled voices coming from the kitchen. He hurried to get ready to join his grandmother and his lover.

The drive to South Padre Island went into the evening, but not so late as to be completely dark when they arrived at the condo. Because they had packed fairly light, they were able to take most everything they'd need for the night up in one trip. They would, however, have to come back for the groceries they'd purchased a few minutes earlier.

"Wow! This is a nice building," Neil observed and the exited the elevator on the 5th floor which was the top.

A minute later he got a better look at how lovely it was. The apartment was divided into a foyer, living room, kitchen, and three bedrooms – all of them spacious. The master bedroom had a large walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom. It was furnished with a king sized bed, dresser, and a seating area near the wall of glass with a view toward the shore.

The lounge area had a sliding door leading out to a spacious balcony which offered a great view as well.

Being weary from their long drive, they'd planned to go straight to bed. However, they decided to unwind on the sofa with a glass of wine and take in the night sky.

"This is perfect!" Neil enthused. "If we did nothing but relax in this place, it would be worth the drive. School and students seem like a distant dream."

"Ah yes, but whatever would we do to entertain ourselves if we didn't go out?" Aidan joked.

"How tired are you?"

"I'm getting my second wind."

"Perhaps we can figure out a little diversion to tide us over...," Neil suggested.

After eating breakfast and packing a lunch in the small cooler they'd found in the pantry, the men took Padre Drive north toward the beach which Aidan had researched on the `net. It wasn't officially a nude one, but evidently the authorities turned a blind eye to people sunbathing in the buff.

When they reached access road number 6, they paid their entry fee and continued for around 9 miles. Eventually, they came to a spot with a log which had the words "nude beach" painted on it and then saw the sculpture they'd read about on the Internet. At that point, they parked and removed their clothes, but kept a pair of shorts apiece in a bag along with Aidan's binoculars and their towels just in case they were needed.

Because they'd gotten an early start, they didn't see many people. A few couples were situated on blankets, and others were walking along the beach. Some had on tiny thongs, but most were totally naked.

Carrying their cooler, the bag, and a large beach umbrella, they walked a bit farther until they found a stretch of sand that was completely deserted.

Heeding the on-line warning about the intensity of the Texas sun, they slathered each other with lots of lotion before lying down.

They had been there about 45 minutes when they saw a couple of men walking their way. Because they were a bit nervous about showing their junk on a public beach, they turned over on their stomachs before the two got nearer.

The strangers didn't come any closer, but turned toward the water. There, they set down their things, stripped off their shorts, and ran hand in hand into the surf. They stopped to kiss for a few minutes, and when they pulled apart, it was obvious that they had found the kiss stimulating.

At that point, Aidan pulled out the binoculars to do a bit of "bird watching" as he called it.

"Here take a look," Aidan offered. "That's a pair of horny tufted roosters if I ever saw any!"

"They look like Avian Homo-erectus to me. I think that's the scientific name for the species," Neil giggled.

"I guess we don't have to hide our cocks now," Aidan grinned as he turned over on his back again.

When Aidan and Neil stood to stretch, the strangers beckoned to them to come join them in the water.

"What do you think?" Neil asked.

"I vote we go meet them. You were the one who talked about picking up a stud on the beach and now we have one for each of us."

"Shut up, smarty! You know I was teasing."

"I know, but let's go check them out anyway."

Of course, the four men all looked each other over when they were within proximity. All were friendly and no one acted self-conscious or ashamed. Indeed, no one had reason to.

In getting acquainted, they discovered that they lived only a few hours apart. Peter and Sydney (Pete and Syd, as they preferred) were on their honeymoon, having been married yesterday morning before they flew down.

"It's our spring break, so we have the whole week to rest and romp before we have to go back in the classroom," Syd smirked.

"That's cool!" Neil remarked. "We both teach too and we're in the process of getting to know each other better. May I ask how long you dated before tying the knot?"

"We met at a district in-service session a year ago last fall, so it's been a year and a half," Pete answered. "We waited, to be on the safe side, but we could have gotten married the next week. We moved in together after Christmas of that year. How about you guys?"

"I was his mentor starting last September, and I already know he's my soul-mate. I've asked him to move in on a trial basis before his lease expires so he'll know for sure if he can stand living with me," Aidan said.

"We should probably get in the water or put on more lotion," Pete suggested. "This southern sun can be brutal on us mushrooms from the Midwest."

They all submerged to their necks by sitting down in a shallow area and continued conversing.

"I wish there were a spot private enough to make love on the beach," Syd grinned. "That would be a honeymoon moment to remember."

"I saw a hetero couple screw in the surf in Florida once," Aidan told them. "They were out in the water a way. He had his back to the shore and she had her legs wrapped around his butt. I'm sure she was hooked onto his dick."

"That sounds hot, but I'm not sure we're that athletic, especially since we're about the same height and weight," Pete sighed.

"Maybe if we went out far enough, the water would buoy me," Sydney grinned.

"I see you have a big umbrella like we do," Neil observed. "I'll bet if we put them together we could block the view enough so no one could see you."

"We could stand guard," Aidan chimed in.

"It sounds risky, and hot!" Pete grinned. "Can't you see the headlines in the Des Moines Register, `Southern Iowa Male Teachers Arrested on Texas Beach for Indecent Exposure!'?"

"I think what you're exposing is certainly decent!" Aidan joked. "In fact, I'd rate them `awesome.'"

"Seriously, would you help us pull it off?" Syd asked.

"Sure! Would you do the same in return?"

"Of course!"

Aidan and Neil ran to move their possessions. When they got back, they could see that Pete and Syd were already anticipating their tryst on the beach. Both were sporting impressive hardons. The sight of them caused the guys to respond in the same manner.

After positioning the two umbrellas so they were overlapping on the shore side but open toward the water, Peter and Sydney arranged their towels inside the space and lay down.

"Um, we'll be in back keeping watch – for anyone coming, not spying on you!" Neil said.

"Thanks! I'm not ready to have anyone see us doing it, but knowing you guys are aware of what we're up to will make it even sexier than usual!" Pete exclaimed.

"You could watch better if you stood on this side, and you'd be partially blocking the view from the surf side at the same time," Peter suggested.

"Peter, you're such a pervert."

"I'm not serious, Babe!"

Syd and Pete didn't waste any time getting it on. The muffled noises they made caused Neil and Aidan to firm up even more. A few minutes later, the men emerged from their "shelter" with grins and traces of cum on their faces.

"It's your turn," Pete called. "You'll want to bring your own towels because ours are kinda messy."

While Sydney and Peter took a quick dip in the surf, Neil and Aidan arranged their little nest. They began to make out in earnest before the other two got back to stand guard.

The very thought of sharing their bodies on a public beach where they could, in theory, be discovered, sent them over the edge as quickly as it had their new acquaintances. They, however spent a bit more time in the afterglow and were only semi-erect when they emerged to rinse off.

The four men spent the rest of the day together, eating their lunches and alternating between basking and bathing. Both couples wanted photos as souvenirs and they took several for each other and did a couple of all of them together, using the timer functions on their phones.

In the late afternoon, they walked back to the parking lot as a group. They exchanged contact information before going their separate ways. Syd suggested the guys might like to join them one evening for a drink in their suite overlooking the city from the 7th floor.
