Wednesday Morning -- Poole-Kirkpatrick House

Chris' POV

Oh here we go again.  Why is it everyday we have to argue with the boys when it's time for school.  One of these days I'm going to ship them off to a private boys school where they are forced to go to school all the time and then maybe we wouldn't have to put up with this crap from them.

"Boy don't make me go get the belt," I tell Brad as he groans and crawls out of bed, with the sheets following him.

"Daddee me don't wanna go," Skye says as he rolls out of bed and I catch him.

"Son one of these days you're gonna hit the floor," I tell him as I put him down on the floor and patted his behind, sending him on his way to the bathroom to get cleaned up.  "Brad get your little hiney into that bathroom before I give you something to make you move."

"I'm going, I'm going," he says as JT came into the room just in time.

"Boy get a move on before I get to you," JT tells him as his eyes shot open and he got up and ran into the bathroom.

"Morning baby," I say, kissing him on the cheek as he wrapped his arms around me.  "I thought you were going to sleep in late today?"

"I can't sleep in late, me and Nikki have to work with the girls of `Syrens', they can sing, but they can't dance worth shit," he tells me as I cover his lips with my finger.  "Sorry, I don't believe they heard me say that."

"Maybe so, but we don't need to start any new bad habits with the boys.  The ones we have now is bad enough," I tell him as he smiles and kisses me as the bathroom door opens and Skye comes dragging out.

"Daddee I'm hungree," he says as we both started laughing at him.

"Breakfast is waiting downstairs Mini Chris," JT says as I start laughing and Skye walks over and hugs his legs.

"You a lifesava daddee," Skye says as JT bends down to pick him up and he turns around.

"I'm going to take him down to eat.  You can bring the Mini Me down when he's through primping in the mirror," JT says as I laugh again, knowing he was telling the truth about Brad.

"We'll be a few hours then," I tell him as he and Skye disappear down the stairs.

"I'm not that slow daddee," Brad says, walking out of the bathroom, walking past me down the stairs as I just shake my head and follow him.

"Did you finish your science model?"  I ask, following him down the stairs as he turns around and rushes back up the stairs.

"I forgot to make the planet Saturn daddee," he says as I hear a door open, slam and then open back again and he's running past me with the rest of the project.

"Slow down before you hurt yourself," I say as he pushed the kitchen door open with his back and disappeared into the kitchen.

"What you got there?"  I hear JT asks as I open the door to see Brad running around the kitchen like he was a chicken with its head cut off.  "What are you looking for Brad?"

"I need to make the planet Saturn," he says as I opened the junk drawer and started moving things around, looking for something that could be used as the planet Saturn.  "Here you go buddy."

"Oh yeah, thanks dad," Brad says, taking the little rubber ball from me as he started working with it.

"So where is my grub?"  I ask, looking over to JT who at the moment was forking some grits and eggs into his mouth.

"You might need to look in that pot over there," he tells me, smiling at me and then pointing at the stove.  "That's where I got mine from."

"I know that silly," I say, getting up and walking to the stove.  "I thought you had fixed mine too.  Dang, it's so hard to find quality help these days."

"Don't push it mister," he says, picking up a piece of bacon and biting it.  "Don't get yourself into trouble and end up riding the couch for a while."

"Who me?  I wouldn't dare dream of doing something to have to ride the couch for," I say, putting the lid back over the grits and walking over to him as I lean in and kissed him on the cheek.

"Uh huh, don't try to make up for it now," he says as Skye starts laughing.

"Daddee you in trouble now," Skye says as I smile, ruffle his hair and walk back over to the stove.

"I'm not in trouble, daddee still loves me," I say as JT took another bite of his bacon, looking at me out the corner of his eyes as he starts laughing too.

"No he's not trouble, but you two will be if you're late for school.  Come on, we got to get a move on.  Brad hurry up," he says as Brad sits down at the table and starts gulping down his food.  "Boy you need to slow down before you start choking or something."

"I'm not going to choke daddee," Brad says, taking another bite of his toast and then guzzling down his orange juice as he hops out of the chair and rushes up the back stairs.

"Skye you need to get on up there and get dressed too," JT tells him as he too gets up and walks up the backs stairs.  "Chris are you coming handsome?"

"I'm gonna finish eating and then I'll be right up," I tell him as he blows a kiss to me and disappears up the stairs.

Sitting there finishing up my meal, I looked up towards the ceiling and gave a smile.  At that moment, I thanked the Lord that he's blessed me with my husband and our kids.  I know we've had some hard times during our lives, but we're still together through all of those things.

"Chris hurry up, you need to get ready too!"  I hear him shout as I drank my juice, smiled again and got up from the table.

Jamestown, NY -- Parker General Hospital -- Nick's ICU Room

Nick's POV

What's going on here?  Where the hell am I?  Why is it so dark all around me?  Oh God, what happened to me?  The last thing I remember was that I was headed to the store for some groceries and I was talking to Danny.  Then...then things...things went black.  Oh God, am I dead?  I'm dead...I'm dead!

"Sir are you okay?" I hear someone ask me, as I still couldn't see anything around me.

"Where am I?  Why is it so dark in here?  Why am I in the dark?  Could you turn on the light please?"  I ask as I felt a hand on mine.  "Who's there?"

"I'm sorry sir, my name is Eric," the person says as I tried to move my other hand, but felt nothing move.

"Why is it dark in here?  Why can't I move my hands?"  I ask, as the person said nothing.  "You're still here.  I can still feel your hand on mine."

"I'm sorry sir.  It's actually not dark in here, there are bandages over your eyes and as for your hands, your arms are in a cast, so that's the reason you can't move your hands," the person states as I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"What's wrong with my eyes and arms?"  I ask, getting worried now.

"Just wait a moment sir while I go get the doctor," the person says as I felt the hand disappear from my own and I felt all alone.

Oh thank God, I'm alive, but from what I can understand so far, just barely.  I must have had an accident and I'm now in the hospital.  Oh God what happened after things went black?  Hell I don't even know how long I've been out.

"Hello Mr. Carter, I'm Doctor Manning," I hear from what sounded like across the room.

"Ah hi Doctor Manning," I say as I feel someone touch my arm.  "What's wrong with me?  Why can't I see?  Why can't I move my arms?"

"Mr. Carter this is all just a precaution," the doctor tells me as I will something sticking my hand.

"Ouch," I say as the person holding my hand pinches me again.

"It seems you can feel what I'm doing to your hand, so I can take it that you have feeling in your hands.  What about here?"  I hear him asks as I feel something poke the side of my arm.

"Yeah I can feel that," I tell the person as I feel a breeze move across my skin.  "What's happening now?"

"We're removing the bandages from your arms," the doctor tells me as I feel someone touching my face now.

"Why were my arms and eyes covered?"  I ask, wondering why I was covered like this in bandages.

"Well the truck that ran into you was transporting hazardous chemicals.  We wrapped..."  the doctor goes on to tell me the tell of what happened the other day and how I looked when I came in.  After removing all the bandages from my arms, my face and checking me out, he decided that I hadn't been contaminated by any of the chemicals.  Thank you God for another blessing.

Orlando, FL -- Justin's House

Justin's POV

This is getting to be a terrible holiday season.  First, Thanksgiving goes to hell with my parents, when Trace decides to let it slip that I'm having feelings about guys.  I think he did that shit on purpose because they already know he's gay.  I don't know what he's trying to pull, but it's not going to make me fall in love with him and fuck him like he wants, it's only making me hate him.

After doing my best to get mom and dad calmed down, I had to do everything imaginable to try to prove to them that I wasn't gay.  Well I know I'm gay and all, but I'm just not ready to tell them yet.  Trace crossed the line when he did that.  It's not his right to tell them about my sexual preference, it's mine.  Until I'm ready to tell them and come out, they can't know that I'm actually gay.  The next time he pulls some shit like that, I'll beat his ass in front of them just to prove a point.

I don't know why it seems like all of my friends are turning out to be jerks.  First Josh gets upset with me because I refuse to embrace my gay side and be like him and then Joey and Lance got upset with me because they thought I was being rude to JT and Chris when I turned them down to go to their Thanksgiving Party.  I don't know why they can't understand when I say stuff.  If I don't want to be around them, then I don't.  I don't see what the big problem is.

I just know if Trace decides to bring his ass back and cause more problems for me like he did during Thanksgiving, I'll have to be his ass or something.  I refuse to put up with that kind of shit.  If he can't get it through his head that I'm not in love with him that way, then he has some problems that I'm not going to put up with.  I might just have to beat it out of him or have someone else do it.

Randall called me this morning and had the audacity to get upset with me because I told him I wasn't coming over.  I know I told Jon and Steve that I was going to take them out today, but I just can't do it like this.  I'm in no condition to take them anywhere anyway.

I'm sure the boys or Lisa will be calling me soon to tell me how upset they are about the whole situation and they'll probably feel hurt, but I don't want to be a bad influence on them by letting them see me like this.  I'm trying to do what's best.  I know it's hurting them that I had to break my word, but I would rather break my word than to show them my drunken state.

After all that crap, that's happened this week, things need to change or I don't know what I'm going to do.  I can't continue to deal with any of this anymore.  I just need another drink.

"Oh hell, who could this be now?"  I ask, rolling over in bed to answer the phone.  "Hello?"

"Justin are you alright?"  I hear Josh ask me as I pull the pillow over my head.

"What do you want Josh?"  I ask him as I just wanted to hang up the phone.

"I'm trying to find out if you're okay.  Lynn called me and told me that you and Trace had an argument while at her house.  Did you tell them that you were gay yet?"  He asks me as I sit up in bed now.

"Mom called you?"  I ask him, wondering what reason mom would have to call Josh.

"Yeah she called me," he answers as I turn on the light now.

"Why would she call you Josh?"  I ask, still trying to figure out why mom would call him.

"She wanted to know if you and Trace were in a relationship and why is it that you two seem to be at each other's throats as of late..."

"What the fuck did you tell her Josh?"  I ask him, getting a little bit scared now.

"I didn't tell her anything.  I told her I didn't know what was going on between the two of you," he tells me as I released the breath I was holding.

"Why would mom call you about something like that?"  I ask him, wondering if mom and dad bought what I was telling them about being gay.

"Did you tell them something about your sexual preference?"  He asks me.

"No I didn't tell them!"  I shout, getting a little bit emotional now.

"Well apparently someone told them something.  Lynn thinks that you and Trace are in a relationship and are having problems," he tells me as I place my hand on my head and start crying.  "Justin...Justin are you crying."

"Just leave me alone Josh," I say, hanging up the phone now as I fell backwards on the bed and pulled the pillow over my face, letting my drunken emotions out.

Atlanta, GA -- The Littrell House

Kevin's POV

I'm so glad that we're all here together as a family, well almost all of us.  I tried to convince Nick to come, but he wasn't feeling this.  From what he said, he didn't want to be around anyone for the holidays.  I guess his love life is getting him down again.  I hope he changes his mind for Christmas, A'Lissa and I would miss him very much.  He knows he's part of the family, that I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for him.  I hope whatever it is that's bothering him will leave him alone for the upcoming holidays.

"Kevin are you alright?"  Leighanne asks as she walks into the room and sits down next to me with baby Christopher in her arms.  "You've been out of it all week it seems."

"I'm all right Leigh," I tell her as she leans in and kisses me on the cheek.

"If you ever need to talk about something, anything, I'm here for you sweetie," she tells me as she smiles and gets up.  "I think I need to change his diaper, he's a little bit smelly."

"I know how that is," I tell her as she gets up to go down the hall to the nursery.

Now it's just the two of us again.  One of these days, I won't feel so bad about being alone in that big house.  I should take Brian and Leigh up on their offer and move out here to be closer to the two of them.  I don't even know why I'm staying in Orlando, there's nothing there for me, nothing that I know about.

"Yo bro, what's going on?  Hey little A'Lissa," Brian says as he sits down with Baylee in his arms.  "We're going out to lunch, you two are coming.  We're not taking no for an answer either.  You two have been lazing around the house and that's a no no Kev.  You're coming out today with us and that's final."

"I don't want to go out Brian, I just want to stay in and chill out," I tell him as he shakes his head.

"Guys he's refusing.  Looks like we're going to have to take him," Brian says as Howie, Leighanne and AJ came into the room.

"I got A'Lissa," Leighanne says, picking up A'Lissa and taking her out of my arms.  "You three can have him now.

"What are you guys doing?"  I ask as Brian and AJ picked me up together and started walking towards the door.

"I told you that you were going out today and that we weren't taking `no' as an answer," Brian tells me as we stop at the front door and I just sigh.

"Oh all right," I say, getting angry at the four of them for what they were doing.  "You can put me down.  I know how to damn walk."

"Now he's acting salty.  We don't need that Kev," Brian tells me as he shakes his finger at me and Leigh joins us at the door.

"Why don't we just go eat and deal with other things in the truck," Leigh says as she, A'Lissa and Baylee walked around us and out the door as Brian took Christopher from Howie and then we walked out too.

Jacksonville, FL -- Tricky Bitch Records

JC's POV

I've been here for over four hours now for a damn meeting that was supposed to had started at nine this morning.  I don't get why the people haven't shown up yet, but this is fucking ridiculous.  If they say they want to meet at nine in the damn morning, they're supposed to be here at nine, not almost two in the damn afternoon.  I can't believe Lance has me here at this record company trying to get this guys on a damn contract when they can't even meet for a damn nine o'clock in the morning meeting.  If you ask me, these guys don't want a damn contract, if they did, they would be here right damn now.

"Excuse me sir, are you JC Chasez?"  I hear someone ask from behind me.

"Yes I am, you are?"  I ask, looking at the young man.

"I'm Todd Easton, I'm the manager of the guys you're supposed to be here to see today.

"Oh really?  Where are they?  Why aren't they here now?  I've been waiting here for over four hours.  Normally I would've left within waiting an hour, but I was told by Mr. Bass to wait here so that I may talk to them about their career in the music industry.  If they're no longer interested, that's fine, but this is not a good show of faith for them not showing up for this meeting."

"Well I'm sorry they're not here, there was another pressing matter that had to be tended to," the young man tells me as I shake my head.

"If there was another matter, someone should have called here to let me know that your guys wouldn't be here and that I could leave and be on my merry little way," I said in a sarcastic tone as he looked down at the floor.  "I've wasted four almost five hours at this place when I could have been doing something else. When your guys' pressing matter is over, please have them call Mr. Bass to schedule another meeting. Thank you and good day."

"Mr. Chasez wait a minutes," the guys says, walking behind me as I was headed outside to my car.

"Wait for what?  You said that your guys were dealing with a pressing matter.  When the pressing matter is over, they can kindly call Mr. Bass and schedule another meeting.  As of now, I'm going on my way and getting out of this place.  I've skipped breakfast and lunch and I'm not skipping anything else," I tell him as he just looked at me and a few tears fell from his eyes.  "Again, good day."

"Mr. Chasez could you please just wait a minute?  It's not their fault that they couldn't be here today, it's mine.  It's my fault that I lost track of their appointments.  They are currently in Orlando playing a show right now.  I didn't remember they had a meeting with you until I got a phone call from the receptionist here this a few minutes ago," he tells me as I shook my head.

"Well then that's perfect.  Since Mr. Bass is currently in Orlando, they can call him there and set up a new meeting," I say as I turned to walk away from him again and kept on walking as he continued to ramble on and on.

The damn nerve of some people.  I wasted a whole day doing nothing when I could have been back home fucking around with that hottie I met last night at the club.  When I get back to Orlando, I'm going to make up for the lost time.  I'm going to grab something eat and then I'm going to call said hottie and go have some fun.
