Part 3

We went out to kitchen and got our dinner from the food dispenser. Jarod went and sat down at the computer and continued his study of sex between males. I checked the Battle Station directory, looking for the recreation center, hoping I could find some place to work out. I found that deck seven was entirely classified as recreation and training.

"Jarod, I'm going to have a look at the recreation center. Leave that till later when we can both learn."

"Ok Jerome, but lets put something on."

"Yea, good idea."

We went back into the bedroom to retrieve our coveralls, we found they were gone. I checked the wardrobe and found about 15 sets of coveralls and soft stocking like footwear. Jarod opened one of the drawers and found underwear and socks and other types of clothing. We had never worn shorts, but Jarod suggested that it might be prudent considering all the liquid that was seeping from the head of our cocks. I agreed and we slipped on a pair. Then after donning them, coveralls and the socks we left and walked to turbo lift.

"Deck Seven." Jarod said

Upon exiting we saw a long wide corridor with several doors leading off it. The first door we came to was marked Weight Room. As we approached the door it opened. We walked into the most extensive weight training room we had every seen. There must have been over sixty different machines. Next to weight room was a large pool, hot tub and steam room. There was more comforts here than we had had at our training base. It looked large enough for over a hundred people.

I turned to AI access point.

"Why is this weight room so huge."

"The Battle Station was manned with over 400 men and women when it was first commissioned over a hundred years ago. As technology advanced less and less people were needed to man all the systems. Now it only requires two. The spaces were left. Anything else Commanders."

"Well yes, I am singular not plural. Can you call me Jerome instead of Commanders?

"Very well you are now Commander Jerome."

"How about just Jerome?"

"I am sorry Commander Jerome, but I am not programmed for that. Also it would not be appropriate to call you just Jerome with out Commander designation. You are my Commander. I will also call Jarod, Commander Jarod from now on. Is there anything else Commander Jerome."

"No, no that's fine."

Jarod laughed. Its just an AI Jerome."

After looking at map of the station again I noted that decks three through six were marked as quarters.

"Well are going to do exercises now Jerome?'

"No lets go explore some more. I see here on deck 22 is the auxiliary command center. Decks nine through nineteen are weapon bays and decks 23, 24, and 25 are maintenance. Lets check out the weapon bays and the other command center."

We headed back into the hall and into the turbo lift.

"Deck Nine."

Almost at once the door opened into a vast area. Looking down we couldn't see the bottom. All over the area Robots were working, checking, maintaining, and moving missile components. It looked like all the missile tubes were ringed around the perimeter of the station. I think there must have been several thousand of tubes. There was also racks with ready missiles above or below each tube. In here there were perhaps 30-40 thousand missiles. I and Jarod were totally awed by the area.

"This is the upper missile bay Commanders, Decks 26 to 36 are the lower weapons bay."

We just stood and looked at all the activity going on in the bay. Turning we stepped back into the Turbo lift.

"Deck 22"

The door opened to a catwalk. A single bridge to a central ball. There was nothing else on the deck. I looked up and could see the ceiling 100 meters above my head and looking down the floor a 100 meters below. This deck was huge, but all that was in it was this ball in the middle. Both Jarod and myself walked toward the ball. As we walked toward the ball the catwalk we were walking on retracted as we walked. We couldn't go back so we kept going. It took us almost 20 minutes to get up to this central ball.

"Now what Jarod?"

"I don't know Jerome, try your name. There doesn't seem to be a door."

"Jerome." I said. Nothing!

"Jerome 131175." Still nothing.

"Commander Jarod."

A door snapped upward in the wall. We both quickly entered.

Inside another small walkway led to an inner ball.

We walked up this walkway and as we approached a panel slid open allowing us into auxiliary control. It was a complete match of the main bridge.

Jarod asked the AI

"What's so special about this command center, that the escape route out is blocked."

"Commanders you are in the core of the fusion reactor. You are in a shielded bunker not accessible by anyone other than you two. In the event that the Battle Station is assaulted and boarded you can retreat here and still fight the station. All internal weapon stations are controlled from here. All maintenance, weapon, custodial robots can be controlled from here. If the Battle Station was boarded you would have complete control over all functions of the Battle Station."

"Wow! Jarod said.

"Can we just leave now?"

"Of course Commander Jerome. You are the Commanders."

At that moment the attack alarm went off. A ship popped out of hyper drive and launched several missiles and then disappeared.

The automatic defenses swatted the missiles out of existence.

"Damn that was quick. What was it?"

The AI took along time, (i.e.) 3-4 seconds to answer.

"Unconfirmed reports suggest a CONSEVE Planet Destroyer Commanders."

"A What?" Jarod says

If it proves to be a Conseve Planet Destroyer, Commander Jarod, it is a weapons platform. Armed with planet buster missiles, multiple yield antimatter and fusion warheads. It would only take three to four hits from it to destroy the Battle Station. How ever, it cannot launch more than 6-10 missiles at one time. It is ussally used against undefended targets.

"So how can it pop into our space, fire and pop out?

"They have our location Commander Jerome. They have had our exact location for over a hundred years. It would be easy. Plot where you want to arrive, launch, and go back into hyper drive."

"I'm not sure I understand their tactics at this point. Firing 6-10 missiles at the Battle Station that will, if they know our defenses, be shot out the air."

Jarod said it. "Harassment!"

"Yea. I agree. If they shot regular missiles we could almost ignore them, but by launching planet busters, we have to respond."

"I'm hungry Jerome. Lets go home."

Home was our quarters, and yes it was our home for the next year. Yes I wanted to go home to, if only to taste Jarod again, his essence, his, his nectar. I stood up and grabbed Jarod and pulled him into my arms.

"Fore give me I love you so."

"I love you to Jerome, more than I have words for."

We left auxiliary command and headed back to our quarters. After eating and a quick shower we went to bed. After again sucking each other off, we went to sleep, only to be awaked by the attack alarm. We barely made it to the screen in the living area when the alarm stopped. I queried the AI.

"Another quick attack?

"Yes Commander Jerome. They fired 6 missiles and then left as before."

"Ok, I'm going back to bed now."

Jarod and I went back to bed and cuddled up together and went to sleep. There we obviously no more attacks while we asleep, but one just after we got up. After breakfast we continued our explorations of the Battle Station. During this second day there were three more quick attacks. Later after we were in bed another came just as we ready to sleep. Two more came during the night. In both cases they were over before we could even get to the screen. Although both Jarod and myself were used to getting very little sleep, our love making was taking atoll on our alertness. After several days of repeated random attacks, we were both getting a little irritated. Lack of sleep was starting to effect both our mind and body. We started to get really irritated at each other and after an attack about three AM I lost it when Jarod said

"This is getting to be bore."

"A bore, is that all you think. I think your getting to be a bore. Why did I ever get stuck with such a boring person as you. I wish we had never been joined as a team."

"You don't really mean that Jerome. Your just a little edgy right now."

"Yeah I do mean it." I yelled and then turned and stomped out of the suite.

I went up to the command center and sat down. What had I just said. Damn I really must be tired.

With nothing better to do I turned and punched up the AI.

"How many attacks have taken place."

"Forty Two Commander Jerome."

"Has there been a pattern to the attacks?"

"No Commander Jerome."

"Have the attacks come from the same quadrant each time?"

"No Commander Jerome. They have come from 13 different quadrants around the station."

"All within the same range?"

"Yes Commander, 450,000 km from the Station.

I sat and pondered this. What to do. I was tired of letting the Jost attack with seeming impunity. What to do?

I guess I had been sitting for a while. The alarm went off and I saw a brief glimpse of a ship as it jumped into space around the station, launched several missile and disappeared.

"Same ship, same pattern." I said out loud.

"Yes Commander Jerome."

I had an idea, but I needed Jarod. He was the expert on the missile systems. I punched the inter-ship comm. System.

"JAROD TO COMMAND CENTER, JAROD TO COMMAND CENTER."

He came in 30 seconds later.

"Yes Jerome."

I looked at him and could see that he had been crying. At the moment I didn't really care.

"Is there any way to program missiles to travel to a certain point and just sit waiting for a target to appear."

"I'm not sure, but give me a minute. What do you have in mind?"

"I'm tired of reacting every time they attack, I want to make them react instead. I want to park a couple of proximity fused missiles at all the points` where they have jumped into. So if they jump into that spot again the missiles will destroy them."

"Sort of like mining their jump points."

"Yes. Can it be done?"

"I don't think it has been done before but I see no reason why not."

He queried the AI.

"Program two antimatter missiles proximately fused to travel to all the jump in points. Program them to hold at that point."

"The programming will take some time Commander Jarod."

"We have forever."

Thinking out loud I said.

"Too bad we couldn't just move the Battle Station."

"The Battle Station can be moved to any point in the orbital area of the Star." The AI intoned.

"What?"

"It is possible to move the Battle Station. It is equipped with maneuvering thrusters."

"Can it be put in orbit around the Sun?"

"Yes Commander Jerome."

"Would it cause any stress to the Station?"

"No Commander."

"I wonder why it was never done before. It would have made attacks on it more difficult."

"Missles are now programmed and ready to launch Commander Jarod."

Jarod looked at me. I looked back at him.

"Your call Jerome. You sit in the command chair."

"Fire the missiles Jarod."

We watched as twenty six missile shot out from the station and disappeared into space. I switched to the sensor mode on the screen and could see the tracks as the missiles all reached the point of contact and then stopped. All were within 20 km of the jump in point of the enemy. Knowing that each missile was an Antimatter warhead, capable of destroying anything within 50 km of their position was satisfied. Then we just sat back to wait for the next attack to see if this worked.

Considering I had been in the command center for over three hours I was thirsty. I got up and walked to the food dispenser. On a whim.

"A glass of beer." I ordered.

A frosted glass of amber liquid appeared on the server tray. I picked it up and took a sip.

Mmmm. Very good. I looked at Jarod and he had an astounded look on his face.

"It tastes really good. Maybe you should try one."

"Thanks but no thanks. I'll stick with coffee."

"Suit yourself Jarod."

We sat in the Command Center and waited. It was almost three hours before the next attack came and in that time I had consumed about six glasses of beer. My head was feeling really strange. Also my cock was very hard and I needed to relieve myself. Just as I stood up fairly wobbly the alarm went off. I looked at the screen and saw the ship jump in and disappear in a flash of light as the two missiles exploded at once.

"It worked, it worked."

I reached over and pulled Jarod up and wrapped my arms around him.

"You did it Jarod."

"No we did it Jerome."

Now I was the one crying.

I'm sorry Jarod, I'm sorry."

"It's ok Jerome. Come on lets get some sleep."

I really was very unsteady on my feet. My head felt really strange and my bladder was crying for relief. Jarod helped me down to our quarters and held me up as I drained my bladder. He then helped me to bed and then wrapped his arms around me and just held me as I dropped into the blackness of sleep.
