Chapter 1: Re-birth of Phoenix

" Look, this is Gotham City. We've got a whole family of superheroes living here and a lot more villians than that. I want a kick-ass story for the front page. My father is coming soon and I want this paper to sparkle." I said as the whir of police sirens went off outside. I turned to the huge window in the center of the room and looked down on Gotham, " There some of the world's deadliest villians, so be careful." I said, walking back to my office. Well, not really my office, my father's office., but he was never there and since there was talk about buying out the Daily Planet in Metropolis, we'd already hired a manager. The best, of course. I shut the door and walked to my desk, feeling very watched, then my phone rang.

" Hello?" I said into the phone, " Bruce, I know it's you, I have caller id on my phone."

" You're doing a great job." Bruce's deep voice came through the phone.

" And how would you..." I turned to walk to the door and he was behind me, " ...know." I said, flipping my phone shut and hugging him, " You idiot! You could have scared me to death."

" So, I guess I don't have to ask how things are going." Bruce smiled.

" Bruce Wayne, don't you have work to do?" I asked. Bruce Wayne had been a family friend forever. He and my dad were best friends. My dad was #8 on forbes 100 list, after Bruce, who was #7. I loved Bruce and Barbara, and Tim and Dick. Richard. That's what I'm calling him now. Richard. Ever since he left and he said...not important.

" Yes, I was just stopping by." Bruce said, walking to my desk and picking up a published edition, " Great story."

I frowned, " Yeah, but it's not hip. Last week we had Mr. Freeze freezing things, then there was the Justice League and number one on my list, Batman." I said, looking at Bruce.

Bruce cleared his throat, " Number one? You have a crush, Phoenix?" he asked.

I chuckled, " Hot guy in a rubber suit, what's not to love?" I smiled.

" Better watch it, someone could get jealous." Bruce smirked.

" I'm Phoenix Rainer Fox, and as much prestige as that holds, I'm sure Batman doesn't care." I frowned.

" You could get a surprise, I hear he's full of them." Bruce said optimistically.

" You do know him a bit, don't you?" I asked, but he clammed up, " Right. It's not like I want to unmask him, I just want to ask him questions and get his side of the story."

" I'm here to invite you and your dad and your uncle to dinner tonight at the manor. It's gonna be a family thing." Bruce said nervously.

" I know I can make it." I said suredly, " Not sure about dad or uncle Lucius."

" See you tonight." Bruce said, walking to the door, " Alfred says he's waiting."

" Tell him to suffer." I smiled, watching Bruce leave. Then my system intercom beeped and I pressed my office phone, " Speak." I joked.

" You have a two o'clock with Clark Kent and Lois Lane." Suzanne said.

" I thought that was with Perry." I asked.

" He couldn't make it, so he's sending two of his best." Suzanne said through the intercom.

" What do I care? Dad's meeting with them." I smirked, " Hey, wanna catch lunch?" I asked.

" Sorry, boss, but someone has me working extra shifts." Suzanne chuckled.

I chuckled, " Dad means well, he's got stuff on his plate right now. " I said, turning on the tv.

" He's here." she said, shutting off the intercom.

I stood up in time to see my dad, Markus Fox, walk through the door, " Dad." I said happily.

" Phoenix." Dad said, hugging me.

" I gotta ask one more time, why'd you kname me all those names?" I asked.

" Your mother loved Phoenix, I told her Phoenix Rainer Fox was too much, but she said that one day you'd appreciate it." he smirked, " I like what you've done to the place. It's a real turnaround."

" You have a two o'clock with Clark and Lois from the Daily Planet." I smiled.

" Where's Perry?" he asked, looking through my files.

I rolled my eyes, " That's what I asked, do you have to go through my stuff?" I asked.

" I think if you run, you can catch an episode of Heroes." Dad smirked, " A boy your age should be doing..."

" What Paris and Nicole are doing?" I asked, " Sorry, Sextapes and Anorexia, not my thing."

" Not what I meant." he frowned, " It's like you're trying to make me proud and you don't have to try."

" I know that part." I said impatiently, " I should go. Bruce invited us for dinner tonight at the manor." I said, walking to the door, " Should I just say you're not coming?" I asked.

" I'm busy tonight, tell him I appreciate the offer, but we'll do lunch." Dad smiled.

" Lunch? Dad...nevermind." I said, leaving.

====================================================================================================================

Let me introduce myself, I'm Phoenix Rainer Fox. Plain and clear. Socialite and overall hardworker: three point four GPA, twenty on my ACTs, helping in the running of my father's buildings. I live with my father, Markus Fox and often stay at my uncle, Lucius' home. Bruce Wayne is also a big factor in my life. He's a close family friend. He's around thrity and is one of the hottest guys I know. It was through him I met Tim Drake, a boy just older than me, living with Bruce, Richard 'Dick' Grayson, a guy who used to be close to all of us, but then he moved to Bludhaven and...then there was Barbara Gordon. She was paralyzed by the Joker and now is in a wheelchair. Alfred is still working at the Manor, which is odd since he's really ancient, but you wouldn't tell. His mind is like a steel trap. At this time, the Justice League is a big part of the world, but for some reason, it is laying low. Trouble times for the world. Gotham especially. Gotham had always been a crime infested place. Walking alone was an extreme sport to say the least, but I was good. I wasn't skilled or anything, but I got around...wait, that didn't sound right. I meant that I was more useful than I looked. Dick had moved to Bludhaven a while back, but came back to his loft for a while every so often and that's where I was going.

I knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. When the door swung open, I was pleasantly surprised by him, " Phoenix?" He said, sweat glistening off his hard body. He must have been working out.

" Dick?" I asked, " Umm, Richard." I stammered.

" Come in." he said, gesturing me in. I sat down on the sofa and he sat on the chair beside me, " Long time, no see."

" You can say that again." I smiled, " I haven't exactly talked to you since you left." I said unsure of exactly where I was going.

" So, how'd you know I was back?" he asked.

" Bruce." I said, " He said that you were going to be at dinner tonight and I figured you'd come back for that. If you didn't...that'd be weird."

Dick chuckled, " So, um, you want something to drink?" he asked.

" No, no, I can't stay long. I have to drop by home and get stuff." I lied, " You know, business."

Dick nodded, " Still business forward, I see." he said cockily.

" Had to do something to keep my mind...clear." I said sadly.

" Well, there was a choice for me to stay and...." he started.

I put my hand up, " I get it. I made the choice for you to leave and it's my fault." I said angrily.

" You come here to argue?" he asked.

" Yeah, actually." I said, standing up, " I mean, what kind of boy...friend leaves without even saying anything? I mean could it have hurt to write or stay and work things out?" I asked.

Dick stood, " I asked you did you want me to stay, but you said that if it was what I had to do, then I should go." he snapped.

" Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

" It would have been harder." Dick sighed.

" On who? You? Because to be honest I would've wanted you to say something! Anything, god I thought..." I stopped.

" I didn't mean to make you worry, I just needed a new start." Dick said.

" Without me?" I asked.

" Without everything." Dick said loudly, " I missed you so much."

" Really? This had to come after I said I loved you and we..." I stopped once again.

" You can't say it." Dick asked.

" Had sex, but it was more for me. You were my first and to wake up with you gone, it was too much." I said, remembering the morning after.

" I wrote a note and put it on the bed, then I tore it up and threw it away. I wrote a few more, but I didn't mail them. I figured you were alright without me." Dick said.

" Shows how much you don't know." I said angrily.

" I love you." Dick said, making me completely pause. He walked to me and kissed me passionately, our tongues fighting inside our mouths.

" Is this supposed to fix everything?" I asked.

" Is it?" he smiled.

" I'm not sure." I said, pushing him back in the chair.

I walked over to him and ran my fingers down his abs, stopping only to lick them. He shivered and moaned and I licked harder. He slid down his pants and I unbuckled my belt and slid down my pants. I watched his 8 inch dick twitch as I stroked it. He grabbed me into a kiss and I climbed on top of the chair and slid down on Dick's hard cock, gasping for air as I did. It hurt a lot, less than my first time, but more than not.

" Are you okay?" Dick panted.

I nodded and sank lower onto it. I felt it slide into me and I moaned in ecstacy as he began to thrust. At first, the thrusts were slow, then he began to move faster, moaning.

" Oh, yeah, I've missed you baby." he panted, thrusting deep inside of me.

I looked at him, mouth opened, and moaned harder. We thrusted against each other for what seemed like hours before I felt his cock twitch again.

Dick started gently pushing me off, " I'm cumm...cumming." he said slowly.

I stayed on top, " Go ahead." I said, letting him cum inside me. As he came inside me, I kissed him and we breathed deep, sucking at each other's mouths. I climbed off in a hurry and gathered my belt and coat off the floor, " I've gotta go." I said, walking to the door.

" YOu could...you should stay. I could use a bath and I know you can too. We should..." he said quickly.

" I have to get home. That thing I had to do is important, but I'll see you at Bruce's." I said, flustered.

" What does this mean?" Dick asked.

" Not sure." I said, opening the door and walking out.

Ok, this is my first go at anything DC comics and if you like it, then write me at Femtoka2@yahoo.com and tell so I'll know if I should keep writing this. Thanks for reading.
