From Chapter 4:

I kissed his neck, and fiddled gently with his nipples. They immediately perked up and stiffened. I could see that that wasn't the only thing stiffening "up"! I kissed each of his nipples, gently nibbling and sucking. This was all new to me, but it was really turning me on! I then kissed my way down to his navel. There was some sand in it. I dug it out, giggling. Then I touched the head of his manhood. He took a sharp intake of breath. I wet my finger and ran it around and around the head. A little pearly drop squeezed out the end, and then it winked closed again.

I picked up the drop on my finger, and rubbed it between my fingers. I put it up to my nose. Then I did something I `d never done. I tasted it. My first tasted of semen! It was kind of salty, but there was so little it was hard to tell. I then looked into his eyes intently. There was no expectation in them -- only love -- and acceptance of what I was doing.

I dropped my head and mouth over the head of his dick. He moaned -- this time in pleasure. I sucked and bobbed a few times, then came back to his mouth, and kissed him deeply, all the while stroking his shaft. He was by this time sobbing and panting at the same time. I stopped.

"What's wrong?" I said.

"Nothing. NOT ONE THING! Everything's perfect. Rob -- I love you so much. I didn't think - " Then he cried, "It's close!" I jacked it up faster and fasted. He started to take gulps of air and on an impulse, I quickly bent down and took him in again, and started bobbing for all I was worth. He cried out at the same time as he filled my mouth with his first spurt of semen. It was -- GROSS! I almost choked. But I hid it from him. I took it all in and swallowed it. It was so gross tasting -- but I was determined not to let him know.

When he was completely spent, I just lay there with his quickly softening member in my mouth. I could taste it still in my mouth. Already I was beginning to love it -- because it was his. It was my Denny's substance. I lay there loving him more than I thought it was possible to love another human being, his breathing got ever more slow. I looked up and he was smiling in his sleep.

Chapter 5

I got up in the morning, very quietly. I gently woke him before I went out the door to work. I kissed him good bye, and reminded him I was going by the university during lunch. He hummed a little assent, smiled and went back to sleep. I slipped quietly out.

It was a quiet morning at work, so I felt justified in taking a little longer lunch than usual. My boss was a woman, and she was very understanding. I had already told her I was gay and what happened. She told me to take as much time as I liked.

I went to the admin building first, and then found out where Denny's dean was. When I got there, the secretary told me he was in a conference, and could I wait for 20 minutes. I expected this -- or longer -- so I sat down and idly picked up a school schedule and paged through it.

About 15 minutes later, the outer door opened and two unformed officers came in with a student. I recognized the student.

"Yes, that's him, officer." The student said, pointing at me.

The policemen strode purposefully over to me and said, "Sir, do you know Dennis Miggs?"

"Yes, sir." I responded.

"Do you recognize this man here?" he said pointing to the student.

"Yes Sir." I could not remember specifically where.

"May I ask your name sir?"

"Robert Balser. What's this about?"

"I am placing you under arrest for assault and battery of one Ronald Acer. The gentleman with us has identified you as the person who attacked him. You have the right to remain silent - - blah blah blah"

"Sir," I said, trying to remain calm, "I certainly did not attack anyone, unprovoked. The person I hit had just participated in unmercifully beating my-" I paused.

"You're a fag lover! FAG!" The student ranted.

"That will be enough, Mr. Wiltsey!" the officer said. Then turning to his partner the cop said, "Did you get all that?" His partner, who was taking notes, nodded. They put handcuffs on me and let me out. There was a crowd of students outside. Some of them were yelling obscenities at me. In the middle of them, I recognized the guy I had hit. He looked like his jaw was wired, but it was hard to tell, with the bandages. He smiled evilly and gave me the finger. A young man ran in and gave me a card before the officer could stop him. In the squad car I read it. It was an attorney's business card.

I was taken to the West Los Angeles substation, where they fingerprinted me and took my statement, then led me to a large cell, filled with a number of disgusting looking rabble. Several of the men whistled. I shuddered. One of them looked at me hungrily. I made as mean a face as I could and he backed off. Before I was locked up, I asked the officer if I did not get to call someone.

"You mean you've not called your daddy yet?" the jailer jeered. He re-opened the cell door, led me to a room, and pointed to a phone. "One call -- one minute!" I took the card out that the kid gave me -- then thought better. I was glad the cop had suggested calling my dad. I thought for a moment what I would say -- in one minute.

Ringggg! "Hello? Dad, this is Rob. I am in jail. Not now, dad. For defending Denny. Yes. Please call Denny, get his parents number and tell them what happened. Yes it was at school. Yes you can tell him too. No, but -- please, will you go to UCLA -- near the admin building -- and pick up my car?" The cop came over and stood in front of me, arms folded on top of his large belly. "I gotta go, Dad! Okay. Yeah right!"

He had told me not to worry.

The cop ushered me back to the cell. Someone said, "Oh, the prince is back! Whatsa matter honey, daddy not gonna bail you out?" And several make kissy sounds.

The cop pushed me in and shut the cell door. Thankfully, the cop stayed in the corridor.

I looked around. There was no place to sit, so I walked toward the far end of the cell, where there was an open space. As I passed this one ugly looking thug -- larger than the rest -- but nothing I was worried about, he said, quietly enough that the cop could not hear, "Who told you that you could go back there?"

I ignored him and went to the spot and stood, my back to the wall. The cop was there, but I still didn't feel good about turning my back. Finally after about 45 minutes, I sat down. I felt violated, just sitting on the floor. It was damp. There was spit and who knows what else on the floor. The big guy snarled as I sat. I shouldn't have, but I looked at him. He grinned. His teeth were broken and mostly yellow -- or black. He had what looked like blond hair at one time. It looked like there must have been lice in there, for sure, if not worse. He mouthed to me just loud enough to hear, "You're mine, pretty boy!" He winked. I felt like barfing.

About ten minutes later I heard the cop talking on his cell phone. He was arguing with someone. "But I gotta go -- bad! I can't just leave the boy in there! Get down here!" Ten minutes later, the cop said. I gotta go piss. You guys behave yourself! My replacement will be right here!" He walked around the corner and I heard a clunk of a steel door.

"The'ain't no replacement, is there?" the ugly dude said, grinning at me. He got up and came toward me. I froze. I haven't been afraid very many times in my life. But this guy looked mean. I wondered about my initial appraisal that I could take him. "Hey, Pretty boy!" he snarled. "I'm the king in here tonight. Show a little respect and bow before your king!" Four of his cronies followed close behind him. "Whilst you're bowing, my court here will help you out of them trousers! I bet your butt's as pretty as your face is!"

The four guys closed in on me. I sprang up and readied myself for a struggle. When I got up so fast, they backed off a little. "OOOO!" said the king'. He's gonna be a live one! Good I like spirit. GET IM!"

The four attacked me. I grabbed the two closest and introduced their heads to each other. They collided with a sickening crack, and both hit the floor. The other two fell back.

"I -- SAID -- GET -- HIM!" And the `king' pointed to several more, who, along with the other two, who I had not touched yet, all rushed me at once. I had determined that they were not going to get to me without a fight. They grabbed me. I struggled and got loose -- but only momentarily. There were at least six of them. Bruce Lee flashed through me head. He could handle these thugs! They subdued me forcefully and started to fumble at my belt.

CLANG! "GET AWAY FROM HIM!!"

I had chosen the worst place to sit. It was dark and the guard could not see well into the shadows. But I could see just fine. The `king's' dick was long and thick, and looked like the head was partially eaten away. His whole body was filthy. He smelled like rotting flesh. As I stepped out of the shadows he whispered, "You would have loved it sweetheart! I saw you admiring it!" His breath smelled worse than I imagined most butts would smell like!

"Looks like you got some influence," the guard said, "You're free to go. Pick up your things at the front office."

When I got up to the front office, there was my dad, Denny's dad, and a guy I didn't recognize. "This is my friend, Ray, Rob." Mr. Miggs said. I was confused. "He's the district attorney where we live. But he knows the D.A. here." Mr. Miggs acted as if yesterday never happened. So I did too -- for the time being.

As soon as my personal effects were returned, and paperwork was signed, we left. I felt grimy. Mr. Miggs was riding with Ray, and I with my dad. Mr. Miggs asked if it would be okay to come to my place to talk to Denny. I said I thought it would be better to ask him, and asked that he not call tonight. I said it would not be fair to Denny to wake him up with such news. He asked if I really thought Denny would be asleep with what went on. I still asked him to please wait at least until tomorrow. I prevailed.

"How much was the bail?" I asked my dad as he drove me home.

"What bail. There was no bail. You were released on your own cognizance. You have Denny's dad to thank for that. Or rather Ray -- but he's Denny's friend."

"So -- um -- what did you think -- about Denny's dad?" I asked.

"He seemed to be a pretty decent guy."

"Um -- did that surprise you?"

"Well -- yeah." Dad said, narrowing his eyes. "Actually I was a little worried about what kind of reception I would get when I called. But he was immediately receptive and -- well, just nice, I guess. He was appalled that you were in jail, for defending his son."

"It wasn't exactly defending him, Dad."

"What?"

"It was after it happened. I wasn't there. When I came to the dorm these two guys attacked me. I was defending myself -- but I was about as out of control as I have ever been."

"Out of control. Not MY son!"

"One of the guys was bragging that they beat Denny -- and messed up his face!"

"Still -- that cannot be a good thing -- for you -- in court."

"But they attacked me!"

"Any witnesses?"

"I -- I don't know."

"Think! It may be important! Losing your cool isn't very smart, Son."

"Dad, I'm not stupid. But I was very upset. How would you react if someone attacked and beat up Mom?"

"I hardly think you can compare - "

"Dad, I'm in love with Denny. I know you can't understand how that's possible! I hardly understand it myself! But I know how it feels! So how would you have reacted?"

He blew some air out his pursed lips. "I guess -- well -- about the same. So, anyway -- it's your word against theirs. That's not good."

"Well, Denny will be able to testify -- assuming it was the same guys that messed him up."

"I'm sure that the defense attorney will take full advantage of Denny's condition. Do you think he will mind if you take some pictures?"

"Who is my defense attorney?" I asked, assuming he had already gotten one.

"Did you want me to call someone?"

"I -- uh -- kind of assumed - "

"I will do it first thing in the morning. Roger okay?"

"Do you think he would take it?" I asked. Roger was good, but a corporate attorney, and a busy one at that.

"He will if I ask him to. Matter of fact, I'll call him tonight. He owes me one."

"What - "

"Don't ask! What time do you leave for work in the morning?"

"8:30."

We were pulling up in front of my place. Since it was pretty late, I didn't ask him in.

I came in the door and Denny was sitting up. "Oh my gosh!" He welcomed me with! "I was so worried!"

"'Bout what, Sweetie?"

"I've heard some horror stories about L.A. jails!"

"OMIGOD!" I exclaimed. "I almost forgot!"

"What?"

"I didn't even TELL my dad about that!"

"What -- what happened?"

"Well, we were so involved talking about my defense and such -- I forgot to tell him what happened in the jail!"

"Dammit, Robbie, stop stalling! What HAPPENED!"

I told him in detail. He sat there with his mouth hanging open as far as it could under the circumstances.

"So -- if you hadn't fought back -- it coulda been worse!"

"I don't even wanna think about it!" Denny started to cry. "What's wrong now -- I'm okay!"

"Shit! This is all my fault!"

"No! It's not!" I protested. "It's the fault of people who are so prejudiced and bigoted. It's the fault of parents who don't teach their children. Hey, it's okay to not agree with any viewpoint, but -- but -- it's not okay to resort to violence every time someone does not agree with yours!"

"All that's true, but -- I knew all that before, and I put both of us at risk! I'm so sorry!"

"Denny, please don't blame yourself."

"Okay."

"What?"

"Okay!"

"That easy?"

"I won't blame myself -- if you won't blame yourself!"

"What the - "

"You were blaming yourself that you didn't take me home that night!" He said.

"Well, I should have - "

"I wouldn't have gone."

"But at least I coulda - "

"Don't `shoulda-coulda" on yourself!"

"Okay - Deal." I said. I'm really tired. I just wanna go to bed, but after that ordeal in the jail, I have to shower first. Don't wait up."

When I came back into the room, he was sitting up on the bed waiting for me. I scowled at him. He smiled, and said, "I slept most of the day. I want to hold you now." He shed his boxers and climbed under the sheet. I climbed in after him and he scrambled back against me. He quietly yelped once, turned and smiled at me, and then snuggled even closer. I was out in record time.

Knock Knock knock knock knock! I heard from my deep sleep. I looked at the clock. It was 7:00!

POUND POUND POUND! "Okay, okay, I'm coming!" I slipped into my briefs and ran to the door. I opened it a crack. There stood two guys, one with a camera.

Roger Wickham sent us here to take some pictures.

"Roger - ?? OH! Of Denny! Just a minute. I closed the door, then opened it back up. "Erm -- well, come in. We have to get dressed."

One of the guys said, "Well -- if it's not too much bother -- could your -- friend -- NOT get dressed? I mean if there is bruising that we need to photograph - - "

"Oh! Actually I haven't talked to him about this. I didn't know you'd be here this soon."

"It's okay. We wanted to get the shots as soon as possible -- before the bruises went away."

"I'll be right back." I said.

I went into the bedroom. "Uh -- Denny?"

"What's going on?" He said groggily.

"There are some guys out in the living room. They were sent by my dad's attorney. They want to take your picture."

He was immediately awake! He sat up. "What?!"

"They want to get shots of your bruises and your face while it's bandaged."

"Why?" He said incredulously. "I don't want to make a big deal of this!"

"It's for my defense, Sweetie." I said.

"Oh. Okay. Um, throw me my shorts."

"Erm -- could you wear this?" I threw him my jock strap.

"WHAT?? Why? I'm not so well endowed that I need to suppress myself!"

"No, you don't -- it's not -- They want to see as much as possible. I am talking about wearing ONLY the jock. I think they need to see the bruising on your legs, too."

"Oh. Okay."

I watched him painfully bend down to put his legs through the jock. I wanted to cry -- but this was not the time. We returned to the living room, and the photographer was ready for us. He took several shots of most of Denny's bruised body, including some overall shots, to be sure that his head and face showed -- well as much of his face as was exposed.

"I'm sure that we will want some pics after the bandages come off -- BEFORE the reconstruction."

"Reconstruction?" Denny queried.

"I -- uh -- I'll explain later. Guys, thanks for coming. Tell Roger thanks!"

"Wait until you get his bill!" One of them said, as they exited.

"I've got to get to work. Will you be okay here? I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to any of your profs."

"I'll ask Randy to see what he can do." He stood to walk back to the bedroom. I flew to his side to help him. "I think," he groaned, "I think I better start doing for myself. I can do this! Nothings broken except my nose -- OH! What was he saying about reconstruction?"

Gosh, I hated to tell him this! "Denny, the doc has to reset your nose. It's too deformed, and to do it- he's going to have to re-break it -- to reset it to something a little more reasonable."

"No big deal -- right?"

"I'm afraid it is a big deal. That's why they have to wait. To make sure there is no infection before they reopen the wound. You see, it is so close to the brain, it's too easy for something to go wrong."

"Oh. Okay. Bye! I love you!" He said.

Since he was up, I gave him a big hug and kiss. He felt stronger -- or something. Maybe it was because he didn't seem quite so tender. I walked out thinking, Wow! He doesn't seem too worried. It was I who was doing the worrying for both of us. Damn, I don't wanna --- even think about it!

When I got home from work, Denny asked if I could take him to the doc the next morning, to change the dressing and look at the damage. He said he could probably drive himself, but wanted me there. Maybe he is more worried than he wanted to let on. I said I would see what it looked like at work. In a new job, I felt I needed to be careful. They have been very nice so far, but I don't want to push it.

"Hey -- why don't you ask your dad?" I suggested.

"I g- guess I could."

"He wanted to talk to you the other night."

"He did!!???"

"I'm sorry! Didn't I tell you? I was pretty shaken -- I really am sorry."

"Why did he want to talk to me? You were shaken?"

"I don't know -- but -- he seemed repentant."

"So -- why -- er -- what stopped him? Repentant?"

"Well -- I stopped him." I answered.

"Oh. And -- do I have to sit here wondering why?"

"No. And you also don't have to be a smart ass either." I said. "I did it to protect you. I didn't think it was fair to bring him in here, unannounced, maybe wake you out of a sound sleep - "

"I wasn't asleep."

"I didn't know. Like I said, I wasn't exactly thinking straight myself. I had just narrowly escaped being raped by the most disgusting creep you ever saw." I said.

"WHAT?? Really? Who?"

"What?"

"When were you - "

"I told you -- er -- don't you remember?" I was getting worried.

"Remember what?"

"I went to UCLA to get some stuff from your profs - "

"Really? Thanks! But - "

"And I was arrested - "

"ARRESTED! What for?" He asked as if he knew nothing of the last 48 hours. I explained it all to him again. "What -- er -- why -- why didn't you tell me?"

I wanted to cry! "I did Sweetie. I told you everything the other night -- the night it happened."

"NO you didn't!"

What was I to say now? I didn't know if, in this confused condition I should say any more. "Listen, Sweetie, I forgot something in my car -- be right back."

I heard him exclaim as I closed the door, "Sweetie?"

I almost ran to my car. I checked to see if he was watching, then found his dad's number on my cell phone's previously dialed numbers. I punched send.

"Hello?" It was Mrs. Miggs.

"Is Mr. Miggs there?" I don't know why I didn't want to talk to his mom.

"Who can I tell him is calling?"

"This is Rob -- Rob Balser."

"Oh! Okay. Jim! It's for you! It's Rob -- Denny's Rob."

Denny's Rob. I liked the sound of that!

"Hello?"

"Mr. Miggs, this is -"

"Jim. You can call me Jim, Rob."

"Jim, I'm a little worried about Denny. He can't remember some things -- thing he should remember."

"What's going on?" He asked.

"He couldn't remember my whole story about what happened to me the night you got me out of jail."

"Oh. Should he have? Was he awake?"

"Erm -- yeah! He couldn't sleep after my dad called him for your number. He was worried. And now he doesn't remember any of that."

"Maybe we should take him to emergency." Jim said. "We'll meet you there -- can you do that -- now?"

"Of course!"

"You get on your way -- I'll call them -- so they will expect you."

"Yes sir. I - I don't know what to tell Denny."

"You'll think of something."

"Yes sir -- I guess. Bye."

I went back into the house. "Get dressed Sweetie. We're going for a ride."

"Where we goin'?"

"To the hospital."

"But my appointment isn't until tomorrow."

"I know -- I want them to look at you now, though."

"I feel fine! Why do we have to go now?" He sounded scared.

"Denny -- do you love me?"

"I -- I guess.."

"And do you know that I love you?'

"You - - okay. Um, what?"

"K. Trust me -- and let's get you dressed." He was wearing my pajames -- he looked cute with the pants dragging the floor! So I helped him get them off, then helped him on with some of his boxers, shorts and a tee, then I put his sandals on him.

"I could get used this service!" he joked.

"Me too, Sweetie. I love you so much!" I pulled him up into my arms and tenderly kissed him. His body was kinda stiff.

"Now lets go."

When we got to the hospital, they indeed were waiting for us. He was taken right in and set up with an MRI. While they were doing that, his parents arrived.

"What'd you tell him?" Jim asked me.

"To trust me. I didn't know how much to tell him."

"Well, I guess he trusted you!" Mrs. Miggs said.

"Yeah -- I guess."

"Mr. Balser?" The emergency doctor said.

I pivoted on my heel. "Yes?!!"

"We're finished. The results will have to be studied and also looked at by his doctor."

"You mean -- nothing to tell us tonight?" I said, incredulously.

"I'm Dennis's father. Can't you tell us anything?" Jim said.

"Well, it's not conclusive until we study the results more -- but -- it looks like there may have been some neuro damage to the left side of his brain. But that's only a guess. His doctor will - "

"His doctor is here." We turned and Doctor Valentine was walking up behind us. I looked at the printout and I think he definitely received some more damaging trauma than was originally thought. I doubt it is anything permanent. It seldom is, taking into account his age and the rest of the MRI. I would not worry about it. I have an appointment with him tomorrow -- to check on his nose healing. Maybe I'll do that now. I'd like to get to the re-setting as soon as possible. It will be easier to -- er - "

"break it?" I said.

"Yeah. The sooner the better -- as long as there is absolutely no infection. Anyway, if you are willing to wait -- well, why don't you all come into the examination room with me."

"My wife brought a camera, doctor. Can we - "

"That's not really permitted -- hospital policy."

"Doc, we're not sue-happy people. But Dennis's partner is in trouble for assaulting Denny's assailant. And we need to show the damage he did."

"I -- I don't know the hosp - " The emergency room doc started.

"If you will trust us to take the pics, I think that would be okay." Dr. Valentine said. Then we can hold on to them until they are subpoenaed. In the mean time, Dr. Steere here, and myself will both be seeing it, so - we could testify, if need be, also." He looked over at Dr. Steere, who nodded."

We followed Dr. valentine to where Denny was. "Dennis -- Denny -- Do you know why your partner brought you in tonight?"

"N -- not -- really."

"You have had some memory lapses -- one that he knows about -- that were concerning him. It concerns me too, but not very much. You should be fine with a good long recuperation."

"Oh. What -- why - - " He seemed suddenly very disoriented and confused.

"Really nothing to worry yourself with, Denny." He put his arm on Denny's shoulder and squeezed gently on it. "Right now, though, I'd like to look at that nose."

"Oh. Okay."

"I'm going to have to reset it. Did anyone tell you that?"

"Reset it?" He said, bewildered. "No."

Both Denny's parents gave me a worried look. I mouthed to them, "I told him -- just tonight!"

"Well, we will have to actually go in and break it again to reset it. You didn't know this?"

"Break it? No I didn't know. Will it hurt?"

"No more than the first time. It was just too far healed when you came in and we didn't want to risk any infection getting into your cranial cavity -- your brain."

"Oh. Okay." Denny said matter-of-factly. I again felt a deep urge to cry. Dr. Valentine gently eased the tape from his wound and then took off the windings of cloth bandage. Denny's nose looked like it was almost a half inch to the left of where it should be!

"Can we do this tomorrow, Denny?"

Denny looked at his dad. His dad nodded to him and he told the doctor that tomorrow would work. The doc told the nurse to clean up Denny's face.

"Doctor, can I have some time -- alone -- with my son?" Jim asked.

"Of course." Dr. Valentine said. Denny looked worried.

"Can -- can Rob stay here -- Dad?"

"Sure son." Jim said. A knowing look passed between Jim and his wife. She followed the doctors out. "Denny, do you uh -- remember our dinner a few nights ago?"

"Dinner?"

"Yes -- erm -- you and Rob came over -- your room mated were there too."

"Tad and Randy?"

"Yes. Do you remember that?"

"Uh -- not very much." Denny looked at me and smiled.

"Denny," I started, "Do you know where you live?"

"Of course! I live in Westwood -- on campus -- UCLA! With Randy and Tad." I exchanged looks with Jim.

"Denny -- you have moved in -- with me!"

"Really? I wondered why I was wearing your pajamas this afternoon!" I could feel my face and ears start to burn, as Jim looked over at me and smirked.

"Yes. You live at my house now."

"Cool! Do my parents - " He flinched as he remembered that his dad was right on the other side of him.

"Denny," Jim said, "We know about you and Rob."

"Know what?" He said, sounding pretty confused again.

"Denny, do you remember Garth?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. I really loved him!"

"Do you remember what happened to him?"

"Sure -- he -- uh -- he killed himself." He started to cry. "What's all this got to do with Garth. Man, I loved him!"

"Denny -- do you know why you're living with Rob now?"

"Sure!" He looked at me. "You're Garths cousin!" He said as if just making the connection. "And I am now living with you, huh? How come?" He again looked between his dad and me. "Do I -- do I have amnesia or something?"

"Something like that." I answered. "Is it -- is it okay with you that you are living with me?" I asked -- afraid of the answer.

Denny looked from me to his dad and then back to me again.

What must be going through my poor baby's mind?

Notes: Hey, don't blame me! This was a complete surprise to me, too! Stay tuned, boys and g -- er -- well, maybe there are some girls reading this. Any comments are welcome. Write to Steve at s4d@hotmail.com. Be sure to put "Rob" in the subject line. Thanks and love.
