Science of Us

Gay

Pat has been working my last nerve over the past few days. He keeps leaving these love notes in my locker, telling me that he's made his decision. The first one was a card. Inside, there were big letters spelling out "IT'S YOU! IT'S ONLY YOU!" He had a folded up piece of notebook paper in the card and the paper said the same thing, only with a lot more words. At first I kept it to myself, but after the last note, I told John about everything that was going on and John told me it was for real.

"Drew called me a few nights ago and told me it was over with him and Pat. He sounded pretty choked up about it, but I told him he got what he deserved. It probably wasn't too nice of me to kick him while he was down but he knew he was wrong when he went after Pat, and he knew he shouldn't come to me if he wanted sympathy. Plus he still has Laurie clinging to him, so it's not like he's alone."

"So it was Pat who dumped him?"

"Yes."

"Well that changes everything."

"Why?" he asked.

"Because it really is me, only me." I could feel the smile creep across my face.

"Stop smiling like that. Geez, you look like an idiot." He laughed at me, and I blushed. "Do what you want to do, but I wouldn't take him back if I were you."

"You're just saying that because you want to sleep with me again."

"No, after being with you, I'm fairly certain I'm straight."

"Gee thanks."

"I didn't mean it like that, Kyle. You know what I meant. If you couldn't do it for me, no guy could."

"Flattery will get you everywhere," I told him.

"Shut up, what if Britney heard you talking like that?" I looked up to see Britney walking by, giving John a wink as she passed.

"It was just a kiss, dag! How could she be upset about a kiss that happened before you were together? And while we're on the subject, why are you secretly dating Britney? Why don't you tell Nick because it's killing me to keep this a secret from him?"

"Okay, first of all, that kiss lasted too long to be just a kiss, and second of all, it happened the day before Britney and I hooked up. I think she would care to hear that while I was flirting with her, I was kissing you. And as far as Nick is concerned, when I met Nick that first time, I was sure he didn't speak to me because he knew I had the hots for Britney, now that I know he doesn't have a clue, I don't have the heart to tell him."

"That was over a month ago and Britney was still with that dumb jock at the time."

He laughed. "`Dumb jock' doesn't sound right coming from you. I mean come on, you're a hockey player!"

I punched him in the arm and he smiled. "Whatever," I told him. We laughed for a minute. "But seriously, you should tell Nick."

"Britney's on the rebound, we might not be together next week. You see how easily she jumped to me."

"John, you're hot, you're smart, you're nice and you're rich, what more could Britney ask for?"

He chuckled. "Well when you put it that way, I do sound pretty awesome."

I smacked him upside his head. "Are you coming to watch me tonight?"

"Of course. Even though I hate hockey, I'll be sitting next to Nick, cheering you on."

"Good. Well, I think we should start walking back now." We talked about sports and student politics as we walked back to the school. Nick had left lunch early so he could practice the National Anthem before my game, so I convinced John to go for a short walk with me. As we were walking back in the building, we walked by the tree that he had shoved me against so many weeks ago. "You know I never asked you about that day."

"What day?" he asked.

"That day when you tried to chop my head off over Pat, but you claimed it was a bet with Drew."

"Oh, sorry. I was still on Drew's side at that time."

"I wasn't talking about that."

"Huh?"

"I figured that much. I was referring to the comment you made about your father being rich and you having nothing."

"Oh. Maybe one day you'll find out, but I hope you never do. Drew knows and that's enough. I can't have everyone knowing my secrets."

"Not even me?"

"Especially not you. You would yell bloody murder if you knew the truth."

"Your father isn't a nice man, is he?"

He had been reaching for the handle on the door, but he stopped mid motion. He looked over at me. "How did you know?"

"I can read between the lines, plus you've mentioned him a few times, and never in a good light. You don't have to tell me right now, but I would like to be a part of your circle. You know all of my secrets and I only know one of yours." I winked at him.

A hesitant smile flashed across his face, quickly vanishing. "Fair enough." He opened the door and held it for me. I went in and we went our separate ways.

That evening, I was pumped up for our first hockey game. I smiled at Pat in the locker room and he tripped over some guy's bag. I was pleased to know I had that effect on him. He was embarrassed when he got up, but he still looked over at me and returned my smile. I think we were both taking our time getting dressed because soon the locker room was empty and it was just me and Pat. He walked over to me and said, "I have a surprise for you."

"What?" I asked him.

"Just look at the scoreboard after the first period." He walked out and I followed behind him.

The game was close during the first period. At the intermission, the announcer said there was a special message for Kyle Masters and requested that everyone look at the scoreboard. I looked up and there was the message that stole my heart and weakened my knees. "KYLE MASTERS, I LOVE YOU. ONLY YOU! -the one" Everyone turned and looked at me and I looked at Pat. He smiled and I looked away, afraid that my eyes would out me if I looked at him for too long. The guys were razzing me about the message and I must have turned ten shades of red. The game continued and we finished victorious, I even had a hat trick. I was a little dazed as I walked to the locker room.

"Let's go out to dinner tonight and celebrate," said Pat as he walked up behind me. "You can bring the lucky lady, too." He laughed, knowing he was the lucky lady in question.

"I think the lucky lady has to go to bed early" I joked.

He leaned close to my ear, "I'm sure she could stay up all night for you." Then he did this sexy laugh as he walked ahead of me and went in to the locker room. I went to my locker and opened it to find a card inside. I turned and my eyes caught Pat, who was standing on the other side of the locker room, smiling at me. `Open it,' he mouthed.

I was just about to open it when Coach came in. "Great game guys!" He gave us a short talk and then he turned his attention to me. "It seems someone really likes you Mr. Masters." He winked at me and I blushed, fairly certain he knew my secret.

I took my time undressing, waiting for the other guys to finish their showers and dressing and all that stuff. When they were done, I went to take a shower. I heard the water, but I hoped that someone had left one of the showers on. I walked in and found Pat in there, soaping up. He turned and looked at me. "Took you long enough," he whispered. "I thought I was going to turn in to a prune, or worse, I would have to walk out there naked to get you."

"Huh? Why would you be waiting for me in the showers?"

"Didn't you read the card?" I shook my head `no.' "You should have read the card then you would know that I had a little surprise for you."

"Surprise?"

"Yes. You smiled at me after you read the scoreboard and I took it as a good sign, I had two cards for you. One was another apology and plea for you to take me back, and the other told you to meet me in the showers when the guys were gone. I guess you can figure out which one I gave you."

I laughed. "Guess so."

"Come here," he said. I saw the devilish gleam in his eyes, and I wasn't sure if I should take him up on whatever he was offering, but my body was on autopilot. I walked over to him and he rubbed his fingers across my chest before pulling me close and kissing me.

I pulled back. "What if someone comes in?"

"I guess you better try to be quiet then." He reached down and grabbed my dick, stroking it slowly. I couldn't stop the moan that came out. He pushed me up against the shower wall and it felt like deja vu. I watched as he lowered himself in front of me. When he was on his knees, he looked up at me and said, "Let me show you how much I've missed you."

I really wished I could be angry with him, but my body wouldn't let me. I was leaking with anticipation of what he had in mind, and my excitement was only increased by the fear that someone might walk in and catch us. He opened his mouth and sucked in most of my dick. "Ooh" I moaned out loud. He was good, there was no denying that. I tried to hold in my moans, but his lips seemed to draw them out of me. I was getting louder than I wanted to be. Pat must have noticed, but he kept going. Within a few seconds, I felt that familiar tingle. "Pat, I'm" I was too late. My cum was already filling his mouth. He swallowed and cleaned my dick with his tongue. He pulled off and was in the process of standing up when we heard a voice.

"Okay guys, now that the fun is over, will you get out of here so I can close up?" I was still panting as I looked over towards the shower entrance. At first the person was a blur, but my eyes quickly focused and I realized it was Coach. I moved my hand to cover myself and Pat shot to his feet like a bullet. We must have looked petrified because he said, "Relax guys, I remember when I was your age. I know what it's like to experiment. Just get out of here, please." He looked at us as if the scene before him was completely normal. "You're not the first guys I've caught in the shower together, either." He turned and walked out of the locker room, leaving us in shock.

"I wonder who else was in here fooling around." Pat's voice broke me away from my thoughts.

"I told you we might get caught." I didn't want to, but a smile forced its way across my lips when I saw Pat's face.

"Why are you smiling?"

I reached up and wiped a little of my cum off of his chin. I took the glob and put it in my mouth. "I bet Coach won't be able to look you in the eyes anymore."

"Oh, and he's going to be able to look at you?" He had a wicked smile on his face.

"Let's get out of here. I'm famished."

"I'm not that hungry anymore," he said, continuing his smile.

We cleaned off and got dressed. We walked out the locker room and Chris, John, Drew and Nick were standing there waiting. "What took you guys so long?" asked Nick with a knowing look. The other guys started cracking up and Pat and I both blushed.

"Eww, don't make me think about that!" exclaimed Chris. "That's on the same level as thinking about my parents getting it on. Yuck!"

"Thanks a lot, Chris," Pat snapped.

"You know what I mean. You're like my brother. It's hard for me to picture you doing whatever it was you were doing in there." Saying that made Chris blush.

An idea hit me. "How long were you guys standing here?"

"Since a few minutes after the game ended," said Drew. I rolled my eyes, upset that he was the one who responded.

"Why'd you let Coach go in there then? One of you should have warned us" I told them.

"We stalled him as long as we could, but he seemed pretty insistent on going in there. What were we supposed to say?" asked Nick.

"I don't know, but you guys could have said something," I replied.

"Why, did he catch you with your pants down?" asked Drew.

I know my entire face turned red. The guys laughed even harder. "It's not funny," I told them.

"So what are you guys going to do tonight?" asked John.

"We're thinking about dinner, so we can talk" said Pat.

"Okay, we all have plans anyway," said Nick.

"What plans?" I asked.

"Chris and Drew are going out with their girlfriends. I have a date with Valerie, and John has a date with a mystery woman. I've been trying to convince him to tell me who she is, but he won't say anything," said Nick.

"Well thanks for coming to the game, guys. You can leave now," Pat interjected as he put his arm around me and smiled at them.

They smiled back, congratulated us on the win, and slowly drifted away. Nick shouted some comment about the scoreboard being cool as hell, and then he disappeared out the door. "Phew!" I exclaimed once they were gone. I realized they would still be outside when we went out there, but letting them leave first gave the illusion that the teasing was over.

"So where were the rest of your friends?" asked Pat.

"They're not in to hockey. They never came to my games before, so why should they start now?" We began walking towards the door.

"Because my man needs a cheering section, too."

I pulled away from him. "Who said I was your man?"
