The Earl's Son

Robin arrived early at his new school. He'd said goodbye to his mother earlier that morning before she set off for the airport to fly off to Sri Lanka. She always looked forward to going back to her home town of Columbia where she'd been born and raised. Now she was off to take up a new senior post with the government there and knew that she wouldn't see her sixteen year old son for at least a year and possibly longer. She loved her son but knew he was better off in England. Besides, he'd been born here to her English husband who'd died of a sudden heart attack jus on a year ago. Both she and her only son Robin were shocked and heart broken when it happened since they were a close family but she knew life had to go on and her new job not only safeguarded their future financially but it meant she could return to the country she loved.

She'd often wondered why she'd been persuaded to leave all those years ago but she knew that to progress in the political field, which had always been her ambition since her father had been in politics up to the time he died, she had to study in England. It was at university that she met her husband and it was love at first sight. They'd been happy together and their son had been their love and joy.

Robin was a kind, gentle loving child and when he announced that he was gay just over six months ago she was not surprised. Even his father had commented on his effeminate ways so she was certain he would have accepted his sexuality as she had done. All she wanted was her son to be happy and be himself even though it meant she would not see grandchildren.

Although Robin was a bright lad, he'd made it quite clear that he didn't want to go to university. He was artistic and loved theatre, music and dance.

"I want to be an actor" he'd said on numerous occasions and she knew there was no point in trying to persuade him otherwise. She had to admit that whenever he'd been in school plays he'd been good and his ability had always been commented on.

So, the time had come for them to go their separate ways. She had every confidence in him and knew he'd work hard to achieve his ambition. Her final act was therefore to pay for him to attend a select boarding school where she was sure he'd be reasonably happy and complete his final year of education and there was always the chance that he might stay on for another two years for further education, although somehow she doubted he would. The school had been recommended to her by a very dear and valued friend and it only took about one hundred students from the age of ten up to going to university if they stayed on to do their A levels.

"Can I help you?" Robin heard someone call as he searched along an empty corridor for the administration office.

Robin turned and came face to face with a very nice looking guy who clearly knew his way around. For a moment they both stood and admired each other. Robin had been told on numerous occasions that his bronzed skin, due to him being mixed race, made him attractive. He grinned at the guy now within a handshake away and introduced himself.

"I'm Robin Taylor" and added that he was looking for the administration office to report in.

"I'm Julian Drayton, Head Boy"

Julian held out his hand and shook Robin's warmly holding it somewhat longer than was necessary. As he looked into Robin's dark brown eyes he felt a shiver of excitement shoot through his body.

"Come with me" Julian said and led Robin back to the room he'd appeared from. As Robin walked through the doorway he read a sign on the door saying "Head Boy" and beneath that "Viscount Drayton".

Robin looked at the sign with a quizzical expression and once inside Julian explained.

"My Dad is an Earl and practically owns the place since without his money it would be bust. I was therefore automatically made Head Boy when I was sixteen just on a year ago."

Robin just grinned and sat down in the seat indicated by Julian. He immediately liked the guy. Despite being aristocracy he was down to earth and made Robin feel at ease.

"Cup of tea? I've also got some fruit cake that I wangled out of cook" he laughed.

Robin nodded as he watched Julian make the tea and cut the cake. He was truly beautiful. He was slightly taller than Robin's five foot ten and had blue eyes that sparkled every time he smiled. His brown hair was soft and almost touched his shoulders but well groomed. It was so different to Robin's short black hair.

He glanced round the room and noted everything was neatly placed. Robin liked tidy guys since he was the same. His tidiness had always been a joke at home when his father was alive since he never put things away and couldn't understand Robin's obsession to always have everything in its proper place.

"So tell me" Julian said as he placed the tea things and the cake on a table in front of where Robin was sitting before joining him on the sofa, "do you have a girlfriend?"

"No" Robin replied emphatically and then added, "Not into girls".

"Ah ...boyfriend perhaps"

Robin paused before answering. "No, not really".

Julian was sitting at an angle to him and he could feel Julian's knee pressing against his. He made no attempt to move his away and in fact Julian felt Robin's pressing against his clearly indicating that he didn't object.

"Mm, am I correct in my assumption that you're gay? Julian asked looking intently into Robin's dark brown eyes.

"Yep; is it that obvious?"

"No, but it takes one to know one" Julian grinned, "Are you out with family and others?"

"I told my mum about six months ago; she's cool about it but my dad died just on a year ago although my mum says he had an inkling and would also have been cool with it; I don't have any other family; what about you?"

"My folks know and they are okay with it although my dad never talks about it; my sister who's a year older thinks it cool having a gay brother so it will be her who carries on the lineage in due course."

"Will you ever be an Earl?"

"As the only son I take that title when my dad dies."

"What about here, is being gay a problem?"

"Not really; I don't flaunt it but I don't hide it either; it is 2005 after all!"

"Any others that you know of?"

"Not that I know of although there was a boy last year who I think was gay and I'm fairly certain the PE teacher is."

Julian thought for a moment before continuing. "As Head Boy I can appoint a Deputy; the one I had last year has left so I need to choose another; would you like to be my Deputy?

Robin couldn't believe Julian would consider him for such a position and just looked at him for a moment before asking what it would involve. He'd been a prefect at his last school so was used to responsibility.

"Yeah, I'd like that if you're sure."

"I think we'd make a good team, so yes."

Julian was delighted since the thought of having this gorgeous guy working with him thrilled him in more ways than one!

"As Deputy, if you want you can room with me since there are two beds next door, otherwise you'd be in one of the dorms."

Robin didn't hesitate and immediately accepted the offer so they dumped his bags in the bedroom to be unpacked later. Meanwhile he and Julian had other duties to perform. As the administrator was off sick, the Headmaster had asked Julian to handle the registration of the nineteen new entrants. The school would be at its lowest capacity with only eighty one boys this year which Julian preferred since the teachers could spend more time with each pupil.

He looked at the list of new entrants and noticed that Robin was exactly a year younger than him. His seventeenth had been two days earlier on the fifth September and Robin's sixteenth had been on the first.

"What subjects do you like best?" Julian asked.

"Drama, music and art."

"Wow, they're mine as well; I love drama and organise the panto at Christmas and the play we do in the spring. If there are enough decent musicians I also organise a couple of concerts since the music teacher is only part-time" Julian added.

He was just about to ask what instrument Robin played when there was a knock on the door.

"Hi Craig, this is Robin, he's the new AHB"

"Hi Robin, welcome to Redgates, I'm the Senior for Dorm three"

"Hi" Robin said as he shook Craig's hand.

"You aware that Perkins the Administrator is off sick?" Craig asked turning to Julian.

"Yeah, the Head has asked me to do registration for the new intake; could you base yourself in the reception area for the next hour and direct the new boys to me please, we're expecting eighteen."

"Sure, no problem; see you around Robin" Craig said as he skipped off down the corridor.

"He's a nice guy" Julian commented when Craig had left, "always willing to help out; I have the feeling he could be one of us but he's never given any specific clues."

Julian fixed a badge to Robin's dark red blazer which said AHB and then explained what he'd like him to do when the new boys came along to register. He'd just finished when the Headmaster appeared.

"Thanks for handling the new intake Julian, poor Mr Perkins has suddenly gone down with the flu; and you I believe are Robin Taylor" he added turning to Robin.

"Yes sir"

"Has your mother returned to Sri Lanka to take up her Government post?"

"Yes sir, she left this morning"

"And if my memory serves me right you also play the piano and have reached stage five"

"Yes sir"

Julian was getting more and more impressed with his new friend. Not only was his mother in Government but he was also a pianist.

"I wonder if you would be willing to be our pianist at assemblies" the Head was asking, "the boy we had last year played all the right notes but in the wrong order most times" he chuckled.

"Yes sir, I'd be happy to do that" Robin replied feeling rather proud he was now being asked to perform another duty.

"Excellent, Julian organises the programme for each assembly so he can let you know what is required. And I see Julian has appointed you as his deputy so be sure to introduce Robin to the other staff Julian" the Head added as he left the room.

"He's a brilliant Head" Julian said once he'd gone, "firm but very fair; a big improvement on the previous old guy."

"How long has he been headmaster?

"Four years"

"And how long have you been at the school?"

"Six years; my dad was also here as a boy so it was automatic that I came too."

"Can I ask what your dad does?"

"A broker; he runs the family firm that my grandfather set up."

"And will you go into the firm when you leave school?"

Julian laughed, "God no, if I do the firm would go bust in no time, I'm hopeless with that kind of thing; no, what I want to do is run my own theatre company; fringe theatre to start with; how about you?"

Robin explained that he wanted to study drama as soon as he could leave school and be an actor.

"Brilliant, I knew we had something in common as soon as I met you" Julian said moving closer to Robin. "Can I kiss you?"

Robin grinned and nodded. He moved into the kiss which at first was a gentle brush of their lips but suddenly Julian placed a hand at the back off his head and pressed his mouth firmly against his own. He used his other hand to pull his waist against his to effect a close embrace. Robin automatically opened his mouth to let Julian's tongue explore inside. As they kissed they both felt a reaction down below and Julian ground his crotch against Robin's.

After what seemed like ages but in reality was only about a minute, they pulled away from each other.

"Thanks" Julian smiled, "I've wanted to do that from the moment I met you."

Robin smiled back. He had a feeling he was going to enjoy his last year at school which would make a pleasant change since up to now he'd hated school.

Over the next hour the new intake gradually arrived and Robin felt very important as he gave each boy the form they had to complete and pass to the senior of their dorm, a map of the school showing where things were located, and a small information booklet. Julian ticked each boy off on his list and allocated their dorm.

When all eighteen had been duly ticked off the list, Julian showed Robin round the school. He explained that only four masters lived in and their rooms were situated down the corridor from theirs. The head lived in a separate cottage on the grounds. The classrooms were on the ground floor and the dorms were on the floor above. In an annex, which was connected to the main building by a covered walkway, there was a hall, which also doubled up as the gym, the dining room and kitchen and a general recreation area. Three other teachers who covered PE, music and science came in as and when required.

The seniors for the ten dorms seemed nice guys although Robin noticed Julian was up tight when he introduced him to a guy called Robert who was the senior of dorm six.

"Ah, I've been waiting for you" he said to Robin, "you're late".

Julian immediately bristled, "Robin arrived over two hours ago; as you can see he is AHB so is rooming with me."

Robert immediately backed off and looked somewhat sheepish.

"And I'm warning you Robert that if I get any complaints of bullying by you this year I will report it immediately to the headmaster. No more leeway, is that understood?"

Robin was surprised at Julian's sudden change of tone but guessed there was good reason.

"Yes sir" Robert replied before looking at Robin to see his reaction.

"He's an arse-hole, that guy" Julian commented when they were down the corridor and out of earshot, "If you have any problems with him let me know".

Robin chuckled and replied, "I've had to deal with bigger arse-holes than that at other schools".

Julian laughed, "Yeah, I get the feeling you can hold your own, that's why I made you AHB!"

They'd now reached the hall where everyone would be assembling at six for a short welcome by the head. Robin saw on the stage a grand piano and made a beeline for it.

"Wow, a Steinway" he exclaimed as he sat down, opened it up and immediately played part of a Beethoven Sonata.

Julian couldn't believe his ears, the music coming from the piano was like nothing he'd ever heard before at school, even from the music teacher who was pretty good in his view. He stood and listened until Robin paused and looked up.

"Sorry, I just love playing the piano"

"Don't be sorry mate, that was awesome, everyone is going to love you"

Robin grinned and Julian's heart fluttered. He was falling for this guy big time.

"I'd better introduce you to the other masters" Julian said having told Robin what music would be required for the assembly. It was all straight forward stuff for Robin and he agreed to play some more of the Sonata as the boys assembled.

Having been introduced to the four masters, who all seemed very nice, they went back to their rooms. Julian didn't tell the masters that Robin was also going to be the pianist. He wanted that to be a surprise!

They just had time for Robin to unpack his bags before they had to return to the hall. The Head Boy's rooms were small but they managed to fit everything in. There were two beds which were side by side, a built in wardrobe for their clothes and a chest of drawers. Off a small lobby there was a bathroom and there was the room in which they'd sat earlier. This had one sofa and a table with three chairs which they could use for study.

As the boys made their way into the hall they immediately looked at the new boy playing the piano. Everyone was spellbound by the beautiful sound. Julian noticed from his seat on the stage that instead of the usual hubbub there was a hush with boys mouthing to the boy next to them enquiring who this new guy was. Eventually the four masters joined him on the stage and they too were amazed to hear Robin's performance. Julian could see the Head pause at the end door to listen for a minute or two before making his way onto the stage. Julian felt so proud as the Head grinned at him, clearly impressed with Julian's choice for AHB and having asked Robin to be the pianist.

Once Robin saw the Head come on stage he finished playing and stood up with everyone else. The Head indicated for them to sit down and announced, "As you have seen, this year we have a pianist who knows how to play. Thank you Robin, that was beautiful and I hope we will get to hear some more later."

Robin grinned and he could see Julian beaming at him as the Head welcomed everyone to a new year at Redgates School.

When it was time for the boys to sing the school song, Robin once again performed and added several twiddly bits to improve it. After Julian had read out some notices and explained things for the new boys, he accompanied everyone for the final song.

Before the masters left the stage, the Head came over to Robin and thanked him for his beautiful piano playing and asked that he play some more of the Sonata as they all left. Finally it was time to go and have their evening meal in the dining room. Robin was starving so was pleased to get there!

Julian led the way to the other end. There was a top table for the Head and masters and two rows of tables at right angles to this where the boys sat. The two nearest the top table were for the seniors, head boy and deputy. Two inward facing seats had been left vacant for Julian and Robin. Everyone was sitting patiently waiting for the head to arrive before serving began. When the Head appeared, followed by the four masters, everyone stood up. Once the Head had sat down the boys did so and a general chatter was heard. Two seniors on Robin's table remained standing. One went to the top table to take food orders and the other did the same for their table. It was soup to start with and the main was a choice of a meat or vegetarian dish. Once the orders had been taken the seniors went over to the serving hatch. They then brought bowls and a large soup tureen to the table for each diner to serve themselves.

Robin noted that the same procedure was adopted for each table and for each course. Julian whispered that everyone took turns to serve and clear away the empties with the exception of the head boy and his deputy. It was considered an honour by the seniors to serve them and the staff. Having not been to a boarding school before, Robin was fascinated by all the customs and procedures. He felt like royalty being waited on which was totally different from his previous schools where lunchtimes had been chaotic.

Robin was sitting between Julian and Robert. Suddenly Robert turned to him and said how much he'd enjoyed his piano playing.

"I love listening to the piano but am hopeless at music" he added.

Robin was touched by his remarks and asked him how long he'd been at the school.

"Five years; my parents got divorced and when my mum shacked up with another man he didn't want me around so I was packed off here."

Robin felt sorry for him and could understand to some extent why he put on the hard exterior which could appear as bullying. He also noted that the others tended not to talk to him so he decided he would whenever he could.

Finally the meal was over and the Head and staff left the dining hall. Julian wanted a meeting with the seniors so asked Robin to tell those at the other table to meet him in the senior common room.

"Loved your piano playing" one of them said. Robin thanked him realising he was going to be known throughout the school as the piano player.

Julian had a list of items to cover, one of them being the Christmas pantomime. He said he was thinking of putting on Aladdin and asked for comments. Everyone agreed that was a good idea so he asked the seniors to put forward suitable candidates for the cast.

"Would you take charge of casting please Robin" he said.

Robin nodded and Julian asked the others to let Robin have their list by the end of the week since they only had three months to rehearse.

"Who would like to be responsible for scenery?" Julian asked.

"I will" Robert piped up.

"Thanks" Julian replied somewhat surprised at Robert offering.

"Craig, would you handle costumes and makeup as usual.

Craig grinned and agreed.

"Lighting anyone?"

The senior for dorm eight said he'd take that on.

Whilst Julian moved onto another topic, there were screams of laughter coming from the general common room next door. Julian asked someone to quieten them down so Robin said he'd go. Another senior joined him and as soon as the boys saw Robin appear there was hush.

"Keep the noise down please guys and enjoy what your doing quietly" Robin said.

"Yes sir, sorry sir" a second year boy replied.

When Robin returned to the other room they all looked at him amazed.

"What have you done, gagged them all?" Julian laughed.

"This guy's amazing" the senior said, "as soon as he walked in they became quiet and apologised".

"I must remember to call you when my dorm is in uproar" one of the others said.

Julian smiled at Robin and almost blew him a kiss. This guy was truly amazing as well as being gorgeous!

When the meeting had finished, Julian said he was turning in as he was tired. Having said goodnight to everyone, Julian and Robin went to their room. Julian's real reason was that he wanted Robin to himself. He was rapidly falling in love with this guy; in fact he was madly in love with him and wanted to find out if Robin felt the same way.

As soon as they were in their bedroom they took off their blazers. When Robin turned round from having hung them up in the wardrobe he found Julian standing naked. He gasped at the beautiful body in front of him and grinned. His eyes went immediately to Julian's large manhood which hung between two floppy testicles. He was very tempted to go on his knees and take the lovely organ into his mouth but resisted.

Julian grinned and turned to go into the bathroom. Robin gazed at the gorgeous butt as he went. Whilst he was in the bathroom, Robin stripped off naked and carefully folded his clothes. He never wore pyjamas but had brought boxer shorts instead. He decided to wait and see what Julian wore so left them beside his bed. Soon Julian appeared and when he saw Robin's nakedness he too gasped.

"Oh my, you are gorgeous" he exclaimed.

He walked over to Robin and took his naked body into his arms. As they kissed he ground their crotches together. It wasn't long before both could feel erections pressing against each other. Their hands were excitedly exploring each other's nakedness. They were both dying to feel each other's erections but neither took the plunge.

Eventually they parted and Robin used the bathroom. During his absence, Julian pushed the two single beds up close together and laid the duvets across them so they could move from one to another with ease. When Robin returned he was laying naked on his bed. He opened his arms and invited Robin to join him.

"I always sleep naked" Julian said as Robin climbed in beside him.

"So do I but have got a pair of boxer shorts at the ready just in case" Robin laughed.

"Same here" Julian giggled.

Within seconds they were in another tight embrace and erections were flying high. This time both grabbed hold of each other's and groaned with delight at the warm hand grasping their sensitive organ. They kissed and kissed before Julian climbed on top of Robin and started kissing down his body. As he kissed and licked his nipples, Robin let out an audible gasp. He'd never had anyone do this to him before and it was pure heaven. He assumed Julian was more experienced in such matters but in fact he'd only done it once before.

He slowly made his way down to the prize he was aching for. Robin was hairless apart from a matte of short black pubic hair. He kissed and kissed his way down until he reached the organ that was bobbing up and down with excitement. It wasn't as big as his but plenty large enough. Before taking the organ into his mouth he kissed and licked the two balls that were tight in their sac.

When he finally took the cock into his mouth, Robin gasped out loud.

"Oh my god, that feels so beautiful" he groaned.

Julian grunted his agreement as he sucked away. As he did so he wondered whether or not to bring Robin to a climax but decided not to. He wanted to keep that for another occasion.

Having given the organ a good sucking he moved back up and they kissed. After another very passionate kiss Julian pulled away and looked into Robin's dark brown eyes.

"I'm in love with you" he whispered hoping Robin wouldn't be shocked at such a statement so soon after having met, "I fell in love with you the moment I saw you".

Robin looked at Julian for a moment without saying anything. Had he heard correctly? Did this gorgeous guy actually say he loved him?

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that so soon" Julian said thinking Robin was shocked.

Robin placed a finger over his lips to stop him saying anymore.

"Don't be sorry; I feel the same about you but didn't dare say anything or even think of doing so. I love you too Julian."

Hearing those words made Julian cry and for a moment all he could do was hold and kiss Robin some more. When they finally parted they both had tears running down their cheeks. They lay beside each other in an embrace and talked about how they would manage their love for each other since they realised they'd have to keep it secret. Julian knew it was forbidden to have any romantic relationships whilst at the school so they'd have to keep it hidden and only show their love for each other when they were alone.

"We shall have to be very careful what we say and how we react to each other around other boys and the staff" Julian explained.

Robin nodded, he knew it was going to be hard but it was worth it. They eventually slipped off to sleep in each other's arms and when they woke the following morning they sucked each other's erections. It was several days before they sucked each other off to a climax and tasted each other but it was worth waiting for.

The days became weeks and the weeks became months. Robin played the part of Widow Twankey in Aladdin and was a great success. The third year boy who played Aladdin was also very good and after what was supposed to be a once only performance, the Head asked Julian to put on another one for a local junior school. At the end of each, Robin and the other boy received a standing ovation. Even the local press had attended the second one and there were pictures of Robin in his costume with the caption 'The youngest and best Widow Twankey ever seen in a school production'.

Robin was over the moon and sent a copy to his mum. She too was delighted and phoned him up to congratulate him and Julian who'd also received an excellent review for his production.

Since Robin's mum couldn't come home for Christmas and there wasn't time for him to go to Sri Lanka, Julian invited him to spend Christmas with his parents at Drayton House which was the family estate near Abingdon in Oxfordshire. It was one of many properties his dad owned including London, New York and Palm Beach in Florida.

Despite all his wealth he was a lovely guy and both he and Julian's mum welcomed Robin with open arms making him feel very much at home.

"I'm blessed with a gay son so I'm happy to welcome you also Robin since I can see you are both very fond of each other" he said soon after Robin had met him.

Julian was somewhat surprised since up to then his dad had never really mentioned his son's sexuality. His mum had asked him outright about Robin and he'd admitted they were madly in love with each other. His sister loved Robin and spoilt him rotten.

"Why are all the gorgeous guys gay?" she laughed.

"So you think I'm gorgeous do you?" Julian teased her.

"Not you stupid, Robin!" she laughed.

"Aren't you glad you don't have a sister Robin?" Julian teased, "They are really horrible!"

Robin loved the banter between them and was envious. He'd often thought it would have been nice to have a sibling.

Because Robin was so happy, his school work reflected this and his grades were much higher than usual. When they returned after Christmas Julian announced he wanted to put on 'The Importance of Being Earnest' for the school play at the end of term. He asked Robin to play the part of Lady Bracknell since he'd done such a great job with Widow Twankey. They had also formed a school orchestra and Robin was expected to play at least two solos in the three concerts they put on for the school and locals. Once again Robin received rave reviews and his acting success was linked to his piano performances. The local paper had a picture of him at the Steinway piano, which Robert said had been yet another gift from Earl Drayton. The caption this time said 'The Widow Twankey virtuoso'.

The play was also a great success and at the end of each performance when Robin removed his wig to take a bow, the audience erupted with applause. It made him realise more and more how much he wanted to be an actor.

Julian and Robin's love for each other became stronger and stronger. It was very difficult to keep it hidden but somehow they did. They both studied hard and helped each other where they could. Robin spent Easter with Julian and he was again welcomed with open arms.

Eventually their final exams were upon them and they were both satisfied they'd done well. Julian with his A levels and Robin with his GCSE's.

At the end of term they had an interview together with the Headmaster.

"You two have been the best head boy and deputy team the school has ever had; you should both be very proud of your achievements."

It was a wonderful accolade to leave with but they now had to go out into the real world!
