THE REAL PETER PAN By Aihu Fist Part four

"Narcissus? You mean THE Narcissus?"

"Yes, Captain Hook, the one and only who only loves himself and drowned in his own image."

"Oh, by Bluebeard, I had not recognized you. I am sorry, so sorry; now I understand why you were so passive in bed. You are only truly in love with your own body. How did you end up becoming a Lost Boy?"

"All of the Lost Boys have gotten killed, lost, been kidnapped somewhere in time, or ran away from abusive parents and lovers."

"You mean there are more heroes among the Lost Boys?"

"Yes, captain, yes, I can assure you. Pan himself was an abused boy, abused because they forced him to grow up, they wanted him to become an adult and then have him married off and become a father. While all he wanted was to frolic with other boys and remain a boy for the rest of his life. So, he had to run or rather fly away. It was god Hermes who lent him his powers to do so.

"Who else is there on Indian Island?"

"I can't really tell, most of us have nicknames, you will find out for yourself, captain."

"I got two other boys here on the ship; who are they?"

"Those? Well, they don't really like me; if they could they'd kill me because they know Pan has a crush on me. They are jealous, really. I know for one that the smallest one is Ganymede."

"You got to be kidding; that catamite, that's the boy who was raped by Zeus, disguised as an eagle."

"That's correct, captain. Basically is he is still Zeus' property, I wouldn't mess about with him if I were you."

"But he was only a cupbearer for the gods, wasn't he made immortal by Zeus; hell, all the gods loved him?"

"Yes, but in the end he had to run for Hera, Zeus' consort. She hated Catamite; she would have killed him if he hadn't fled. He begged Peter to let him into Neverland. But even there they found him, and so Peter decided to resettle everyone on Indian Island. The Scalperos, however, had to be pacified. Peter Pan came up with a deal, but I don't know what that deal was, no one else knows...."

"And the other boy with Greek hair?"

"I am sorry, captain, I don't know his real name, Pan changed them all."

"The rascal, I'll teach him to deceive me like this.

"Peter is a really the child of a satyr and a faun, captain. He told me once, and that's why in the stories they write about him they say he has no parents. The writer Barrie must have been ashamed of Peter's origins. Them being horned creatures and so..."

"You mean horny creatures?"

"Well, yes they are half goat and half human."

"No, Narcissus, horny like in ...loving sex like we just had."

"Oh, I see, captain. Well, I think that Peter can never have sex with any human, only with gods, otherwise he will grow up, you see. He doesn't want to be a father of anyone, not even of us. He only likes to play."

"How could I catch him, Narcissus?"

"He likes butterflies, lollypops, frogs, birds, ladybirds, and anything small and young like us."

"Does he have a favourite game?"

"Oh yes, captain. He loves hide and seek, sitting on a see-saw, playing cowboy and Indian, which is why he lives on Indian Island. But his favourite game is "Is it true? Tell me, and show me".

"What if I tied you up to the mast, would he come and save you?"

"Definitely, but he likes many of us. You see when we sleep he comes to sing a lullaby to us, and everyday he sleeps with someone else and creates new lullabies. At night he loses his fur from his legs and dances us to sleep if the lullabies don't work."

"I would like to be a boy again, Narcissus. But I am Time and a threat to Peter, aren't I?"

"There's only one way for me to stop time and that is to sleep with Peter, but that has an inevitable consequence for him."

"And that is?"

"It'll turn me in a boy but it will turn Peter into an old man. He will become the new Hook. That's how I can shed my life and enter a new one."

"Oh, but you must never do that, captain, please. I think Hermes would come down here and strike you down."

"Would he?"

"You don't mess with the gods, captain, Not with Zeus, Hermes, or any other for that matter. By all means, why don't you ask the Black Fairy to turn you into a real boy?"

"He, uhm, she lives on a neighbouring island off Indian island. Actually, she is a he, who loves little boys only. That's why she only helps little boys. I mean, she turned down many others, basically grown-ups- for help. In order to help little boys, and be with them, he had to die in the other world and dress up like a fairy. To be frank, captain, he always was a fairy even before he died. Well, he asked his physician to help him escape from that life. Like Pan he never wanted to grow up. He created his own Neverland, but grown-ups thought he was a freak and vilified him in the press. Parents would never allow their boys to get to close to him. He managed to survive, but he was so lonely and people would falsely accuse him to get money from him. To be honest, by the time he killed himself, he had been cleared of all accusations, but his reputation was tarnished forever. Paying grown-ups to shut up wasn't the best move for him to stop the media gossip about his love for boys. The Black Fairy is quite happy here and he is a good friend of Santa Claus and Sinterklaas, who pop in every year to see him. They shower him with gifts as if he were a little boy. Honestly, he is a little boy still, for he never had sex with a grown-up. I think he is a Black Peter Pan."

"Really?"

"I am pretty sure."

"You mean if I sailed to London as the pirate, boys wouldn't be allowed to sit on my lap, for a picture?"

"No, I don't think so."

"Well, if he only loves to help little boys, he is not going to help me become one, now is he?"

"Have you ever made love to a man or woman, captain."

"No, of course not."

"So, you have no children?"

"No."

"Then, you have no other option but to kidnap Peter, make love to him and then you will get all his boy powers and youth."

"Is it that easy, Rosebud."

"I think so, but Peter hates you as you are Time and time is his enemy. He knows Time can change him, but he cannot change Time. You must not only be true to the boy spirit but you must not try to change Pan."

"I have to sleep on this, you know. I don't quite understand this whole thing about Pan's ways, his love for boys. I certainly want to meet that Fairy. What's his real name?

"Wacko Jacko, they used to call him."

Ok, then, enough for today, I think I am going to cut you loose, you won't run away. U won't drown anymore, and if is any help you can play with yourself as much as you want, but you must be ready when I need you. Understood?"

"Yes sir, ehm, captain."

Narcissus was relieved from his `handcuffs' and fell instantly asleep.
