As the group arrived at the exhibit for the Museum Peggy was being pastored again by Shane. Mom you've got to see it for yourself it's called Tim the Ultimate Genmen Experience you won't believe what happens and I can't tell you because I don't want to spoil it but it's so neat who could have believed that this was possible why don't humans teach about the Genmen there perfect.

Shane was almost scared plum out of his skin when Tim turned around and thanked the young man for his complement. I'd like to introduce myself to you my name is Timothy Zachariah Spinelli of the Z1 ranch but you can call me Tim and yes, this exhibit is all about me.

Shane was awe that he was actually see in the real Tim and he was speaking to him. Mr. Tim when I grow up, I will be just like you I can't believe what I saw during the exhibit.

Young man before you can be like me would have to be one of us and for human child that's quite impossible. I appreciate that you enjoyed your time here viewing the interactive portion of the exhibit but it's just not possible.

But it is Sir, my name is Shane O'Connell my mom is a human but I just found out my father is a hybrid so that makes me special just like you, so I can do the same things you can when I grow up. We just moved here mom's gonna run the school and my father is going to be running the second phase of the construction for Mr. Jake Traylor.

Tim was taking in this young man's enthusiastic attitude and walked up to Peggy shook her hand and introduced himself. You have my upmost respect ma'am a lot of human females would not dare even attempt to bring forth a child of mixed blood but it seems that you did.

Yeah; remarked Shane but father said that I wrecked the landing strip when I came out so I'm the only one unless he finds him someone to knock him up and then I can have a little half-brother.

Shane it doesn't always happen that way, some genman only birth, some genman only breed and there are others that do both they're call versatile. And from what I can see here it looks like your father chose your mom.

Since you are to be teaching here at the Z1 hoe about I give you and your friends here I guided tour of this exhibit Mrs. O'Connell.

Peggy smiled my name is Peggy; Tim and yes I would be delighted if you gave us a guided tour of the experience exhibit.

Mom since Houston and I saw it last night we'll just wait on you and Mr. Francis to get through with Tim and then we can all go on the main tour about Genmen heritage.

Peggy looked at her son; if that's the way you feel about it it's fine with me about you Francis you want to go on a guided tour with this sweetheart here.

Just try to keep me from following, what a hunk.

Tim chuckled; I get that a lot but just let you know I'm spoken for and Mason would be a little bit upset if I let anything happen because he intends to carry our children as soon as we get the house finished which should be soon.

Houston and Shane were kidding around when he remarked, Shane can you imagine that big hybrid stretching someone's vent I imagine it would be plenty loose when he got through with.

Houston that hurts just thinking about it, ouch! Both boys started laughing.

As both boys were laughing Mr. Z walked up, so what's so funny boys.

Houston turned around and saw it was the big man, nothing Sir just a personal inside joke. We're here with my dad and Shane's mom were waiting to they get finished with a tour of the experience Tim is taken them on a personal guided tour.

Well then, we got time for waffles until they get back let's head over to the snack bar and I'll buy you two boys a snack. You know it's my recipe that they use here that's reason is called Uncle Z's old-fashioned pancakes and waffles.

Neither boy could turn it down but at that age most young genman boys were a bottomless pit growing every moment of the day.

As the boys were finishing up in Mr. Zack was talking to them Tim walked up and introduced his guest. Father I would like for you to meet Ms. Peggy O'Connell and Francis Roland I have just finished the personal guided tour and next on the list is the re-creation of the Genmen ship along with all the chronological artifacts and records that were saved by you, think you might want to come along?

No, I'm fine right now, I'm just gonna sit here and overlook my success and you take our guest on since their new residences of the Z1 and explain to them what it means to be a family member of the Z1.

Tim started the tour; Peggy was glued to every video archive and section of the ship that had been brought here and reassembled along with the re-creations. Francis could not believe that Genmen were forced to live like this subservient to a ruling class it broke as hard as he watched the actual footage of Genmen suffering on the transport freighter. Houston and Shane were also very silent as they viewed the whole process. Peggy couldn't help but take notes as she was an educator, she found the entire exhibit extremely important to her. This was something that could not be kept secret no matter what government agency tried she would not let them silence her.

Tim, I have something that I need to ask, do you think your father would let me do some educational recordings from here inside of the exhibit to let other teachers and educators all the way up to the most prestigious universities that humans attend find out the real truth the real story behind the Genmen plight and what they endured to get here.

Ms. Peggy I really don't see a problem with it father would love to get the story out the way it needs to be told but by the time committees and subcommittees and government officials and everything else gets through with it is just a blip maybe you can get the truth out.

Hello I know I can I've got enough direct lines and instant messaging addresses that I can send all of the most important people clips of what went on I can create a whole series in fact that would bring this into the curriculum of every human school place of higher learning in university the advancements in technology that are Genmen based but were stolen by greedy corporations just to make more money. And what is it with that scanning system on the experience ride where did that come from?

It's an 8D technology that was adapted from Genmen technology. My nephew Lex helped adapt it along with his older computer nerd brother Ty. And it is also being applied and some of the newest cutting-edge technologies of Hawthorne Memorial Hospital. Any technology afforded to them is offered to the masses free of charge so scans can detect diseases earlier thus saving more human lives. One of the newest devices is a delivery chair for birthing based on old Genmen technology, it sets the human or Genmen in the proper position to alleviate stress and strain on the body so that it can concentrate on delivery of the child with the least amount of pain.

I sure could use that two years ago commented Peggy.

I agree with you on that one we had a wooden platform with a bottom side cut out of it in our leg stuck up in the air trying to deliver my previous four but not this one he's going be delivered in one or Dr. Wooten's new chairs remarked Francis.

Peggy was definitely in high gear when she caught up with Zack. The two sat down for almost an hour discussing the possible benefits and pitfalls of making an impromptu video of the tour and how it could be used to further educate humans about Genmen and their plight. Finally, Zack was worn down and conceded defeat and gave Peggy his full approval as long as she promoted the entire complex as an educational experience for anyone who walked through the gates of the Z1. Humans, hybrids and Genmen alike were all welcome soon there would be hotel accommodations and special Z1 transits for the travel.

Francis had to drag Peggy away from the center and back to his house. Shane had never seen his mom so excited in his life. He remembered his father said that she had a real zest for learning and educating others and he figured that this was what he meant.

Peggy had not paid any attention to her communicator in fact she had set it on silence during the exhibits tour. Wallace had tried to contact her seven times, she hoped he wasn't too upset.

She picked up her communicator and called Wallace to make sure everything was okay.

They spoke, with a very shaky voice Wallace asked if she could see if it was okay for Shane to spend another night because he needed little time to recuperate and when she got home, he would feel better.

Peggy had Francis come into the kitchen so they could discuss it in private, Wallace took the big step today while we were on our tours, he's a little bit not okay. He wants to know if it's okay that Shane spends another night but Houston, he's not up to explaining what happened.

That's perfect I understand but before you leave let me make you so special soup it will help calm his body down and relax him. I know it does me every time I conceive, and it also helps ease the body into its new state. Francis started throwing things together in a pot brought it to a good boil and let it simmer 10 minutes, it smelt fantastic.

Irvin walked into the kitchen and smelled the soup simmering and asked who was expecting. Francis look back at his son, you very soon that's who.

Irvin apologized to his dad for being so insensitive and left the room quickly.

Francis packed the soup in a special container to go and also supplied some unleavened Genmen breads to help calm Wallace's stomach.

Shane was happy to stay another night in fact he was thrilled to be with his friend.

Denton walked in and stuck his nose in the air and inhaled deeply. So, part one has been done would you like some help getting the pot nutritional supplement home Ms. Peggy?

Denton that is very sweet of you and I thank you, if you haven't anything better to do, I would be pleased if you would accompany to the Travelodge, somebody might need a little help. The two left out.

Denton waved Madison down and asked if they could possibly catch a ride into township this was a mercy train. Madison took one whiff and knew exactly what it meant and agreed.

Madison dropped Peggy and Denton off at the Travelodge and told Denton to give a buzz when he was ready to come back.

Peggy opened the door and she found Wallace setting in a semi-upright position in a chair. She went over to him to check to make sure her husband was okay.

Denton placed the pot and the breads on the table so that he could fix a bowl of soup for Wallace.

Wallace attempted to stand but his legs were too shaky and Denton caught him before he fell. That's okay big guy I've got you you're not too heavy for me but let's get you set back down and over here next to the table so that we can get some good nourishment down you. You going to be a little bit shaky for a while it always happens the first time. When Rudy conceived, I didn't think he was going be a little walk again for a while. But I made him a policy like you're going to eat with the unleavened bread and it was fine he regained his strength.

I don't know what happened I felt okay after everything took place but then it felt like the whole bottom dropped out from beneath me. Brent was very gentle so you don't have to worry about that but after it was finished, he felt guilty and couldn't wait to get out here.

Peggy started to spoon it sickened soup to her husband alternating it with chunks of the bread.

My dad made this for you because he's been there before and he knows how it affects Genmen. Some people say it's perfect afterwards but not everybody is, sometimes it does knock you for a loop. But if you will eat the loaf of bread and all of the soup then will get you back to bed so you can rest till morning you feel a lot better. Nice not to make any less sore in certain places but it will help you replenish your body and get the pregnancy started out great.

Denton took his leave and left Wallace and his wife Peggy in the motel room to recuperate.

Peggy took care of her husband after he was through eating, he decided that he needed to go back to bed and he felt strong enough with a little support could make it.

Peggy helped her struggling husband back to the bed and covered him up.

Wallace asked Peggy if she would lie with him for a few minutes, to which she agreed.

As they were laying together Wallace reached over and took his wife's hand and uncover his lower belly and laid directly on top of his skin. This here is our son and will raise him as our son and the brother to Shane. He'll have to know how he arrived here but he is no less our son you are his mom.

Peggy gently kissed her husband on his cheek then she wrapped her arms around him snuggling up close she had a purpose to her life again. Her family meant more to her than anything in the world keeping them safe educated and well fed was the most important things but love triumphed over all.

Wallace woke up in the middle the night hearing voices more like silent whispers, he was confused until he realized that there was a voice inside of his body that was talking to him. He was puzzled at the whole thing no one ever said that the babies could talk to their dads while they were being carried. As he listened more, he decided he needed to talk to Francis in the morning he needed answers.

Peggy woke up to find her husband gone but heard the shower running, she opened the bathroom door and asked him was everything okay to which Wallace replied; fine dear doing great, that soup was wonderful we need to go thank Francis for all he's done for us. Besides today is the first day of the new job and I need to make a good example for the rest of my crews. They all know there's a meeting at 9 AM at the main office in town and it's mandatory that they show up if they want to continue to work. So, we better get it in high gear so I can get back to go to work.

Peggy did know what was in that soup but wow how it changed her husband.

Wallace paid his respects and thanked Francis in person bid his wife goodbye and left for the office.

Jake was very pleased to see is new job site Forman and general contractor in such an upbeat manner he had no idea what was going on but whatever it was it worked great.

Parker was sitting next to Denton when Wallace was introduced to the crowd. You want to crawl under the bench. One of the new leads Randall Rogers took a keen interest in Parker, everyone was introducing themselves to the new foreman when it came Randall's turn, he told him that he had open spot on his crew at his right hand and this new young genman would fit in just fine for him. Wallace thanked him for his interest in the young man but he had other plans and everyone would know soon. As the meeting dispersed Parker walked outside but Randall blocked anyone else's ability to leave the room until he finished his speech. I'm putting everyone here on notice, human hybrids and Genmen be advised Parker is off limits he's mine he doesn't know it yet but belongs to me, if you sticking nose in where it don't belong it's going to get broken, the fingers get a little too touchy-feely they're gonna get broken and if there's any other things that go around all rip your balls off just letting everybody be forewarned and he walked out the door and closed it behind him.

He took two steps in Parker's direction and cleared his throat; Friday night 7 o'clock you need to be at Constantine's diner for our date don't make me come look for you, then he turned around walked away.

Denton walked up and asked what did he say to you?

I need to be at the diner Friday night for our date at 7 o'clock and don't make him come look for me. Who the hell is that?

Denton laughed; dear Parker my young brother-in-law, that right there is the lead for the structural housing his name is Randall Rogers and he has laid claim to you. After you left out, he told everybody that you were off limits if they knew what was best for them. He's never been this way before he's always been standoffish barely even talked to people but you have lit a fire in that man's furnace. By the way Boss man wants to talk to you about your new job.

A very meek and mild Parker walked in to the office and walked up to where Wallace and Jake stood. Great Parker glad to have you on board remarked Wallace. I was just talking here to Mr. Jake and you were over the Millworks department. Any kind of equipment you need to make any and all trim moldings doors anything for the entire job site just let Rudy know and he'll requisition everything in fact there's a lot of millwork these be done on the entire Z1 ranch so that Genmen families can feel that they're just as deserving anyone else. I see a bright future ahead for you and if Randall steps out of line let me know because he can also get some broken fingers and busted nose but I won't rip off his balls because somebody may need to use those one day for conception.

Jake showed Parker to the desk and told him to go on the computer and pick out the equipment that he needed and don't scrimp on the quality price is one thing quality is the most important thing there's good and there's cheap there's no such thing as a good cheap piece of equipment when you get through turn the order in to Rudy and will get it here in the meantime were any what size of it building you're going to need to put the Millworks in and when you think about it I don't want to building to be just today I want to be able to be expanded in I want everyone to have room enough to work around because you can turn this millwork out but we need areas for reserve supplies.

Parker's head was swimming, Rudy saw that his younger brother was a little bit overwhelmed so he decided to help out. Figure out every piece of equipment that you need in that area that you need to work with that piece then will add it all together to figure out what you need in a building +25% for expansion and inventory.

Parker went right to work he had the calculators out, he had the paper out figuring and refiguring, drawing a floorplan for the new millworks shop. He also had to figure out how many workers he needed to run the shop plus himself.

By lunch time Parker had a set of plans drawn up for the shop itself the overstock area also supply areas and finished product waiting to be shipped out to jobs he also had his labor calculations down along with how much of a labor force he would need to adequately run the shop so that it could be productive at a reduced rate. Along with this he had two separate figures of equipment. He showed advantages and disadvantages to each product as they were presented in the totals. When he was getting ready to leave for lunch, he laid both proposals on Jake's desk.

Parker was sitting eating his lunch when none other than Randall Rogers walked up, I need to apologize for my actions earlier I went about it totally wrong you are not a trophy in your not anyone to be owned by anyone else. I would still like to dine with you this Friday at 7 PM at Constantine's diner if you would like to but if you say no I understand because of my brashness this morning.

Parker put his sandwich down and looked at Randall, I have to give it to you when you see something that you want you go for it and I admire that in a man and a mate. But I'll tell you right now, I'm no one's property no one's possession and certainly nobody's slut. If I decide that your fitting to become a mate for me, I'll let you know. And don't think just because I will meet with you on Friday night that you're getting anywhere near my goodies. Now leave me so that I can finish my lunch I've got a lot to do it my job.

Randall bid Parker goodbye and left.

Jake walked up and congratulated the young man on the way he handled himself, some humans can be very pushy but it takes equally strong genman to put us in our place and you did when it came to Randall, if you tell him no, he doesn't back off let me know he will. Oh, by the way you were talking I looked over both of your proposals I looked at your building and increased by 50% in size and as far as equipment goes Wallace and I both think that your proposal number one is the best one it makes sense just because you we can save 5% on the total cost of one piece of equipment what good is it if were waiting 50% of the time for replacement pieces because it's always broke down. You need to oversee groundbreaking of the property and pouring of the slab to your specifications and just to make things interesting Randall is going to be building your shop for you but you have full authority when it comes to what you need and he's working for you not the other way around. If Randall needs any clarification that you're in charge of the way that you want things, send him to Wallace and if he can get him straight, I know I can.

And just so that I can feel that I'm in charge if you don't mind I am going to tell Randall Rogers that he will be building your new shop for you to your specifications under your direction, if he doesn't like it he can pack his bags but I don't think is going to come to that because he's going to want to please you. Who knows this may work out for everybody involved? Jake walked off to find Mr. Randall Rogers and inform him of what was going to take place.

Jake got on his radio and asked Wallace after lunch if he could come to the office along with Randall Rogers so they could discuss a new job that was going to start on the Hawthorne area of the ranch and Randall was going to build it under the direction of someone else to their specifications.

Wallace answered his Boss; we will be there at the office as soon as lunch time is over if anyone has a problem there won't be a problem by the time we are finished with the meeting.

An updated plan of the building was sitting on the drafting table in the construction office waiting when Wallace and Randall walked into the office. Randall went over the plans the way they were drawn and was very pleased, he saw that there was plenty of safety measures, workers showers and even restrooms. There was a small supervisor's office which he compelled to increase in size because it was actually too small to be efficient, both Jake and Wallace agreed. Randall asked; when did they need to start to which Jake replied last week.

Randall did have one question who was in charge of the building that he would be constructing and would he be available in case there was any kind of discrepancies in the site plans.

Wallace smiled; the person in charge will be there every day that you were there you will work beside him every step of the way if he has suggestion you will listen to it and try to accommodate him unless it would jeopardize the structure safety or efficiency and then the two of you will talk it out and come to a conclusion together but he's in charge you are just building it for him.

He'll be there first thing in the morning when you get Ray to break down and he'll be wearing a white hat that says supervisor on it so there's no mistaken who's in charge your new blue hat will have co-supervisor.

Randall did know who this new guy was but he must be somebody important it all but been demoted just for this job, he couldn't dare screw this one up he needed to work.

Randall thanked Wallace and Mr. Jake for his chance to prove himself if it was okay, he would take a list of supplies needed and get them all lined up starting the next day but first he would need to requisition out the forms and schedule and concrete for the slab for that he needed to go to Rudy.

Randall handed Rudy a list of supplies and the number of laborers he would need to form up the slab and to pour it. There is a complete list of additional items needed, anchors and such then he would send him updated list of structural beams to build the new millwork shop. Rudy took the list looked over it and started making calls so that all the supplies would be there when they were needed and there would be no delay new shop.

Randall thanked Rudy and left the building.

Rudy spun around in his seat, you two are so wrong for this, you know Randall can do this building perfectly fine by himself he doesn't need anyone holding his hand making sure it's done their way.

Jake and Wallace busted out laughing, but Rudy you got admit to yourself it is hilarious to see Randall Rogers squirm, he's full of himself he's cocky he is good but he needs Parker to knock his ass down a couple notches. Besides if we're going to get those two together, they need to be in close contact you got admit to yourself Parker's young he's fresh, he'll be coming in soon and everybody is going to be trying to hit it. Jake has Artie put his feelings out there and I think he scared a lot of people threatening to rip off the balls.

Mr. Jake, I do have to admit that was pretty out there, Randall has always been so quiet and reserved any time anyone new has come on board this is the first time that he stepped up to the plate and told anybody that he intends to make them part of his life and he would make good breeding stock that's for sure. As long as were talking about breeding stock is there anything else anybody needs to know?

Wallace looked down and shook his head, Mr. Jake I've got to let you know that I'm still going do my job but I can't get on the overhead portions I promised my wife another child and since she can't have it, I am in nine months' time I'll deliver. I know this is not what you wanted in a new supervisor but we all do what we can for our mates and my wife means that much to me that I'm willing to put myself through this. Jake put his hand on his four head and rubbed, a mate right now you're out this construction site and you're working I want you to be safe do not do anything that can compromise the safety of the child that you carry I don't want to know where it come from and I don't know who the father is because it's none of my business but you need to be safe. The way your built you can probably carry up to about eight months before you start showing so we got plenty of time to hide it.

Mr. Jake, I had never considered carrying before, I just figured that Shane would be an only child until we moved here and everything changed. I'll let you know right now; nothing is going change in my job or how I run my crews.

Wallace I would not expect anything less than that from you, I hired you because you're a man can get the job done no matter what and this is nothing. But I do think we need to let your second in command know that you won't be on top of the job sites walking around endangering yourself or that child that you carry so a lot of the burden will fall upon him to make sure it's done right.

I guess you're correct Sir, Brent does deserve to know why I won't be up there on top. He shouldn't have any problem if he is as good as people say he is but you never know, humans are strange creatures and they act funny when it comes to pregnant beings working around them.

Jake and Wallace were talking when Homer walked in the front door and asked if he could speak to Jake. Sure, when Homer I want you to meet the new boss man over section 2 his name is Wallace O'Connell.

Tell me Homer are you ready to come back to work yet limited hours so I'm not let you go back full-time and tie yourself out not after that fever you had.

Homer smiled; yes, Sir we're ready to come back to work here.

Jake looked at Homer a little puzzled, what do you mean by we are ready to come back?

Well it's like this Sir, I run into somebody and were both ready to come back to work. Now it's gonna be a little bit different for him because of certain circumstances but don't nobody need to sit at home when there's jobs to be done. Besides he ain't done nothing to be ashamed of no matter what anyone else thinks. And I can tell you if anyone has anything to say about it, they can come talk to me when I get through with my say they might be landing on their head at the front gate. Homer opened the door and there stood Joe, and boy was he sticking out in front.

Jake saw Joe and turned to Homer, I'm sorry Homer but the Council has spoken and there's certain things that can't be done.

Homer took a deep breath and growled; you know I'm not much for the damn counsel as far as I am concerned this situation is between three people. Joe, myself and Clayton and the baby that Joe carries for me. He might not have been conceived the way that a lot of other children are conceived but he's here regardless waiting to be born and Joe has done nothing but make a stupid mistake. The child here is never a mistake it's a blessing and if anybody wants to say anything about it send them to me and their next stop will be in front of the Council when they land on their head as far as you or Mr. Zach you don't need to worry.

Jake smiled and told Joe to come in and have a seat Rudy could always use some help in the office as he was getting further up in his pregnancy also.

Wallace sit down with Homer and they discussed what could be done to accommodate the both of them. Homer explained about the rut and the fever that accompanied it and how it had sidelined him for several months but he was going stir crazy at the house and he need to get out. Clayton and the kids were just fine but everybody needed a breath of air. Wallace felt that Homer was somebody that he could relate to in a tough situation dealing with something that was beyond his control but standing up for what was right. Wallace told Homer to come with him and they would go out on the job site and look things around because he needed someone around him that he could trust, he had a good feeling about Homer. The two men walked out leaving Jake along with the two pregnant Genmen in the office, the hormones were gonna take over.

Everyone at the job site was very pleased to see Homer walked around with a new boss, and they couldn't believe it when they heard that Joe was going to be working in the office helping Rudy until his time was near and he birthed. Homer also made an announcement that Joe was carrying and it was his child if anyone had a problem with it see him after work because Joe would not be hit out, Joe would not be punished and neither with the child and he could mostly guarantee that after the talk that they had either they would agree with it or they would land at the front gate headfirst.

No one wanted to go up against Homer, he was a very nice man but when pushed he was a one-man wrecking crew, plenty of them saw the evidence at the house. Not a word was mentioned about the Genmen counsel in their orders because as far as they were concerned the Genmen counsel didn't speak for them, they spoke for each other just like freemen should.

Brent was fairly on his own the whole day, he didn't want to push his situation with Wallace anywhere because the boss would tell everyone due time.

Wallace was doing pretty good but he was getting tired quick walking around the job site, this did not go unnoticed by Homer. You know you don't have to show me the entire place I've been here before he knows been a few months besides you need to take your rest also, carrying can be taxing on the best Genmen no matter what physical shape they are in before conceiving.

Wallace was taken by surprise at Homer's assessment of the situation. Don't say nothing please I'm doing this for my wife, it wasn't planned by me but my body demanded it that's the only thing about being a Genmen sometimes we don't have control over bodies.

You ain't tell me nothing I don't know, one minute and I'm working the next minute I in full rut going after one of my coworkers who pranked me and it went south. I can't blame myself I can't blame him and the child that he carries his mine because of it. At home I have a mate, his two children and we just created one ourselves even though we were supposed to wait things get very intense when you're next to someone in their body draws you toward them through hormones.

So, you hooked up with a genman that already had two children that's a lot of responsibility Homer.

Not really you need to know the whole situation this take a seat on the picnic bench and talk about. I've always been a loner and then we received a bunch of what they call lost one's. Homer went on to explain Clayton's plight and what happened between the two of them.

Wallace had even more respect for Homer now not only had he accepted responsibility for something that was totally out of his control but he also took on more responsibility out of compassion.

Irvin didn't like the fact that every time he saw Wallace, he would vent on himself it didn't matter if he were a block or even event shield nothing can hold back the tide that he was gushing. After he had run into Wallace three times in one day, he decided enough was enough he was going to bite the bullet and make himself available that way he and Brent could get on with their lives. He sent a message to Wallace notifying him that the time it came for them to take care of their business together nothing is expected and nothing was intended but it had to be done for everyone involved and Saturday night would be perfect.

The O'Connell's had secured a two-bedroom unit and Peggy was getting it all set up. Francis was over there quite often and the two were getting the rooms decorated. Shane didn't know what was up but once he saw the new crib coming out of the box, he looked at his mom. A baby, we're going to have a baby in this house?

Yes, it's about time that you had a little brother young man, and when your father gets home tonight you and him need to sit down and talk.

I thought you said the director landing strip and you couldn't have any more children was that because we were in the city and you couldn't handle another one there or what mom.

Just wait till this evening young man and you will learn everything.

This made Shane even more inquisitive and started bombarding his mom with questions to which she deflected just wait to your father gets home.

The construction of the Millworks department was ahead of schedule Randall was doing okay, but him and Parker had locked horns a couple times. Parker always won.

Randall could not help himself he asked Parker if he would go out once again with him for star birds at Constantine's.

When it came to star birds Parker had no resistance, he readily accepted Randall's invitation for supper on Saturday night. But there would be chaperones as usual.

Shane set there and listen to his father as he attempted to explain to him about Genmen physiology.

Shane kinda giggled which made his father a little upset. Okay let's put it this way seems that you and somebody else got hot and heavy and they got inside of you and they left their seeds there your eggs came down in your fertilized so you're carrying my baby brother inside of you is that about the deal.

Yep that's the deal son, please don't think anything less of me because I'm going to get bigger as I carry and then he'll come out of me through my vent and your mom and I will raise him.

Father why would I think anything less of you you've always been there for me and mom and because of what I did to her landing strip as you called it and put her out of commission why shouldn't you have the next one give her a little rest all she has to do is help raise it with you and I'm fine as long as I've got a little brother I am fine with it.

Wallace was relieved that telling his son was such a relief. The boy had definitely smartened up about Genmen and all about their physiology and biology, the move to the Z1 plus the museum had been good for the boy.

Saturday night Peggy was getting ready to relax, her husband was off taking care of business and her son was helping someone out by being a chaperone so that nothing got out of hand.

Randall was a little perturbed that the chaperones were two young genman adolescent boys. Houston and Shane were all over the place and there was no way that any hanky-panky was going to go along with Parker with these two around. Randall asked the boys what would it take for them to fade off in the distance for a little bit so that the adults could talk.

Houston started out; not going to happen, you not getting no happy vent tonight dude, not for any amount and if I get weak, there's Shane you're not going to budge him either. Shane grinned; if you want any of that, you better put a ring on it and sign over everything that you own or ever will on in order to tap it, so don't bring out 10 credits are even 500 credits each because we're not for sell, but you can feed us.

Parker set there and just smiled at Randall, no matter how the man tried he could not get past those two boys. Could be because Francis threatened both of them with certain death if any hanky-panky went on. Randall walked everyone to the house and the boys waited as he kissed Parker on his cheek and bid him farewell. Houston blurted out good luck with them blue balls tonight boy, maybe you need to go take a good cold shower and walked into the house holding the door open for Parker.

As Parker entered the house Rudy was sitting on the couch and asked him; how did the day go little brother did he try anything or did the cock blockers work. They worked very well in fact the he's probably heading home right now for a cold shower.

Francis spoke up; Parker I should remember one thing this is not a young first timer that you're dealing with he's a full-grown human male and they can get demanding so just be careful around him and don't leave them on if you don't intend to pursue anything other than a meal let that man know don't get them all strung out and lead a moan and think he's going to get some juicy vent when all he gets is Thumbelina and her for ugly stepsisters to play with.

Parker was embarrassed, I intend to keep him at a certain distance but not lead him on. I want him to understand exactly where this is going and where it will not be headed to anytime soon because I am not ready to carry no time soon.

Well I didn't expect for Rudy and I to be in the situation that we are in right now until the protection broke one time, but I'm telling you right now it's the best thing that ever happened to me besides your brother.

Denton that's fine for you two but I will learn a lot before I settle down and give myself to anyone human, hybrid or a Genman I'm not sure if Randall's the one or not but I would like to experience some closeness and what it feels like to be held by someone else and appreciated.

Lester lowered his paper; just remember Parker don't let them appreciate you with your legs in the air and him in your vent because he won't respect you tomorrow if you give it up too soon.

No sooner than the building was up equipment started to coming in. Parker had a place for everything it was all drawn out on the floor with tape plenty of protective measures were used to ensure safety and he had his crew together. One young man by the name of Rupert could look at something in a magazine go back to his desk punch a few calculations in and then draw out the exact duplicate on the CAD system. There wasn't anything Rupert couldn't do or replicate. He had a photographic memory, if he read it are saw it never left his mind.

Soon the Millworks was up and running and Rupert put out three times the amount of product that others did so he had a lot of free time on his hands because he was always caught up and looking for the next available item that could be duplicated in the shop so that the new Genmen homes were unique just like the pod homes were unique each one was created special.

There were babies being born on the ranch almost around the clock for the next few months. Joe was quite large in his own right as Rudy's time drew near. But he was busy working when Joe mentioned to him that he might've spilled something. Rudy looked around and realized he didn't spill anything; he was the leak his water broke.

It was 12 miles back to the ranch and Jake Traylor are didn't let up on his speeder, he was getting back to the ranch with that young man as fast as he could because the pains were wild. Denton was at the clinic when they arrived, he helped his pregnant mate out of the vehicle and into the clinic so that a couple of new lives could enter the world.

In a few minutes one by one the entire Roland family showed up and Parker was there to waiting for his brother to deliver. Lester in fact had a whole transit full of passengers when he pulled up and ran to the clinic, he didn't care he was going to miss his first grandchildren's entrance into the world.

Rudy didn't have a rough labor the first baby came out in a couple of pains later the second one did to and all was fine. Lex was cleaning Rudy up and getting ready to send them to his room so he could recover when Rudy said something didn't feel right there was still something going on inside.

Don't worry about it, Rudy is just your body relaxing now since you have delivered. It's quite normal to have little twinge pains after the initial delivery that's reason we want you to rest for a couple of hours.

No Lex there's something coming out I can feel it is not as big as the other two but there something else happening.

Lex checked him out and sure enough there was a third child, and he was way smaller than the other two. Lex hollered for an incubator now to be brought to the delivery room. The third child was born his cord was cut and he was an immediately wheeled out of the delivery room. Rudy and Denton didn't hardly see the baby but they could see that he small, the other boys work 10 to 11 pounds each this one here was maybe 4 or 5 pounds.

After a few minutes of very concerned Lex came back to the delivery room to give an update on the baby. He has 4 pounds and 3 ounces in weight he is almost 8 months to term. During the process of your pregnancy it seems that the other two were already in development for almost a month to month and a half when this little guy was conceived. He was cut back in the corner and even the 8D scanner didn't show him. I'm not a lie to you it's can be touch and go with him I need to get some nectar from you Rudy to feed him and he will be taken to the city via air transit. We don't have time to wait Carter is here and he is agreed to take the baby to the neonatal at the Hawthorne Memorial Medical Center.

You're not ready to go yet so I need a family member to accompany him, Denton you need to go your son. As soon as Rudy's able to follow you up there but the other children are doing fine and there's no need for them to be in that kind of environment. You will have to flip and flop due to the fact that the babies here need to be fed and cared for. Parker stepped up I'm full so I can feed him if he'll take to my nectar. In a few minutes the air shuttle was in the air and off. Carter accompanied Denton, Parker and baby boy Roland to the Medical Center.

Within 30 minutes they were hitting the heliport pad there was a whole team stand by to take the young man inside. A very nervous Denton watched his son disappear from his vision as the team ran him down the hallway to the neonatal intensive care unit. He was overcome by emotion but Parker steadied him and reminded him that a Roland is not a weak person they are survivors, this young man was a fighter.

Over the next hour Denton were holding the carpet pacing back and forth waiting on news. He was on the phone almost constant with Rudy assured them that everything that could be done was being done at the hospital he was talking to them when the doctor walked in.

I'm Dr. Matt Stirling and I had been assigned your son's case. Didn't ask how the boy was doing?

I'm not gonna lie to you his chances are not that great but being his biology is hybrid and the fact that there was fresh nectar here for him to consume during feedings all they could do was wait for time to pass and pray that everything would turn out okay.

Dr. Stirling took the phone from Denton and spoke directly to Rudy, now don't you worry Sir I understand that you have the other two with you and they are doing fine at full-term just worry about feeding them and you will get a daily report from your husband and your brother who will be taken care of feeding this young tyke.

Matt left out of the waiting area and was walking down the hallway when he was called down by Carter. Dr. Stirling tell me the truth what are the boy's chances and don't hide it from me I can tell that you're worried.

This is my first case ever with a hybrid or even a genman child. I know that they react differently and the nutrients in the nectar are 1000 times more than in human breast milk. But he's barely 7-1/2 months gestation his lungs are developed but just barely he's a lightweight and I've got to make sure that he gains weight we've got them in a top-of-the-line incubation system and I'm waiting on Dr. Wooten to arrive. I'm out of my league I haven't had my rotation at the Z1 because I was putting it off and I'm stupid for that. All children deserve a chance at life because their gifts.

Carter thanked him and told him whatever resources was needed to requisition him and they would be supplied with no questions asked and if anyone questioned him, they would be looking for a new position elsewhere.

Matt was really blown away by the generosity of Carter Hawthorne he hadn't been at the hospital long but he heard that Carter was something else he saw it firsthand.

Matt was going downstairs in the elevator went to the interns were discussing the fact that a Genman child was brought in via helicopter what a waste of resources it was because hell they pop them out like last week's marmelon seeds. There was a very distinguished gentleman standing next to him that was equally uncomfortable with the discussion that was going on. The elevator stopped in the second floor and Matt couldn't hold himself anymore and shoved the two interns off the elevator cinema sprawling onto the floor. I'll tell you one thing every child deserves a fighting chance no matter who or what they are you need to stop and think about your careers in your chosen field and see if you really want to stay here because I'm filing a complaint against both of you. He stepped back on the elevator apologized nice gentleman and asked if he could push a button to any floor.

What floor you getting off on young man the older gentleman asked. Just taking a break Sir ride the elevator up and down clearing my mind then I'm going back to the NNICU where I have a patient who needs my medical attention. The elevator stopped on the 10th floor and Matt stepped out and headed back to the NNICU a couple seconds later the older well-dressed gentleman stepped off also. Matt was finished checking on the baby when he noticed that gentleman on the elevator talking to Carter out in the hallway.

Matt came out of the sterile area and was walking down the hallway toward Carter and the gentleman when Carter stepped up. Dr. Stirling, I would like to introduce you to my husband Ed Hawthorne. Matt hung his head and shook it, I'm sorry Sir for what I did earlier I really screwed up but I couldn't take no more their mouths, if you want me to pack my stuff I will you shouldn't have done that it was unprofessional.

Ed smiled; I'm glad you did because I was about to kick their asses right off the elevator to and oh by the way you don't have to worry about those two idiots. They can find a profession somewhere else and they will not get a recommendation from this hospital they're fired by my orders. I hope to see you more often here in fact, talk to Dr. Wooten and get your rotation to the ranch as soon as possible after the baby is well enough to travel because he's going to have some lingering health problems that you're going to need to be present to take care of and don't worry, you will have an assistant there at the ranch that will be with you every step of your rounds.

Matt thanked Ed and Carter for their kindness and excused himself to go back and check on the boy.

Matt spent more time in the NNICU tending to his patients needs then was necessary, he started to develop a bond with the young boy. Denton and Rudy swapped out places during the week so both could visit with Dalton and Sherman at the house growing and young Garrett here at the hospital the new parents time was stretched thin. Uncle Parker spent as much time as possible as did everyone else including Mr. Zack. Carter took his turns and Ed did too. Before anybody realized Garrett was three months and a healthy 7 pounds and 6 ounces. He still had a little touch of a human disease called asthma but with proper treatment he was doing better.

Rudy was rocking his son in the chair; they had been transferred to a less restricted area of the NNICU counts and mask were no longer needed as Garrett's immune system had finally kicked in.

Matt knocked on the door is not to disturb the new parent. Good morning Rudy and how is our young patient doing today.

Dr. Stirling he's doing wonderful he drank everything he could this morning and he seems to be on the mend you know rounding the corner headed for the home stretch soon.

Well that's great because at 2 o'clock young Garrett here is being discharged so that he can go home and join his brothers.

Rudy was overcome with joy, he thanked Dr. Stirling over and over again.

While it wasn't all me there was a dedicated team for your son but with all of the love that your family poured out to him is really what did it that good old-fashioned Genman nectar. I don't know how the healing properties work but it seems that preemies there allowed to consume it thrive. And I don't just mean genman or hybrid children but even human children that are exposed to the nectar as a nutrient compound advance so much faster than they would if they were on normal breast milk. A lot of the younger doctors want to try to synthesize the formula but I've told them that it's best to get it straight from the source. With all the volunteers that come through here we have plenty in stock now thanks to your family's generosity and the Z1.

We're just doing our part we all live here on this planet and we all have to get along. Helping out your next-door neighbor without expecting anything in return is the most gratifying thing that a Genman can do.

A slight knock come at the door and Carter walked in, Dr. Stirling I believe this young man's flight has arrived. So, when you ready to go we're standing by.

Thank you very much Mr. Hawthorne let me go down and grabbed my bags and I'll be ready to take off also.

Already taking care of and by the way it's Carter is not Mr. Hawthorne that's my husband I'll call him Ed and if you have the choice names when I'm perturbed at him but for the most part, he's a good guy. Now Rudy you ready to leave yet?

Three months back and forth oh yes, I'm ready to leave and get back to my job and my children and having all of my children under one roof is going to be the best feeling in the world.

Oh, by the way Matt just let you know we have an assistant that is ready for your challenges, well-studied in the overall nice young man. His name is Rupert he has a very sharp mind when it comes to sight and book learning I believe is what you call in the healthcare industry a photographic memory. He has been doing nothing in his spare time but reading every medical journal there is available every medical book and any and all scientific formulation manual. I hope that he doesn't disappoint you because that would be very disappointing to him.

Matt Stirling was almost blown away, he needed to meet this Rupert himself to believe it and he had no problem running them through challenges as far as medical procedures, diseases and theories.

They all boarded the sky transporter and the pilot headed off to the Z1 delivering one very special young man and his doctor so they could both meet their futures.

On the heliport pad near the clinic area Lex and Dr. Clark Wooten waited for the arrival of Garrett Roland and his doctor Matt Stirling who would be at the Z1 for the next 6 to 9 months working.

Upon arrival that was blown away at the site of the Z1 it was so much more than what he had been told ever would be. When he walked through the doors of the clinic area the main waiting rooms were bright and inviting as were the halls. No expense had been spared on this place. He was shocked at the level of technology that this place had.

Clark welcomed his new coworker and introduced him to the resident in charge of operations Lex. Matt without Lex this place would fall apart. There are a lot of people here that help out but he's the glue that put this place together. Matt shook Lex's hand and had him shown around the clinic complex.

Rudy was joined by Denton and the other boys for a visit with the young Garrett. Because Garrett had been raised in such a strict environment, they still didn't want to expose him too much too soon so that his immune system could fully kick in.

Family was on one side of the visiting room glass and the parents were on the other side just as a safety protocol. Garrett would still need to stay in a restrictive area for the next couple of weeks until he was up to 100%.

Clark walked up to the young man that was standing off to the side, Matt I would like to introduce you to your assistant Rupert, he is a little short on his interpersonal skills that's because he is so efficient so he doesn't get some jokes don't feel bad he's trying. Matt walked up to the young man shook his hand.

Rupert almost lost his breath because he was so much trying to impress a new doctor.

First of all, young man the lab coat that you've got on it's a little too much it's a little too bright and the little too white. You need to unbutton it so that you that your real you're not a white figure walked around and a robotic fashion. All these pockets full of everything, that you thing you need no, you can keep a stethoscope, a small notepad, pen and an average size electronic port tablet but all the rest of the stuff leave it in the office on your desk.

But Sir; I don't have a desk nor an office I'm to shadow you 100% of the time.

Well then we'll just have to fix that and have you a site desk moved in to the office that we will share together since you have to shadow me there's only about three places that you won't be with me that's when I'm sleeping, when I'm taking a shower or when I'm going to do my daily business. Other than that, you will be beside me answering questions, giving opinions and being quizzed all the time because I need to know that I am making the best choice and from what I understand you have no problem giving me the textbook answer and practical answer to anything that should arise.

Dr. Stirling, I will do my best to my ability to assist you in any Possible Way, Sir.

Matt look back at Clark expression on his face; are you sure that he is breathing and not a cybernetic robot?

Clark chuckled, just take him to the dining area and he'll prove to you that he is 100% organic matter, it takes a lot to fill him up.

Matt turned to Rupert, okay young man let's start seeing patients right away, from the looks of it there are quite a few out in the main waiting area and I need to get to know them as do you. And see them they did, the last patient was checked out at 5:30 PM and Matt was very impressed with the young Rupert's ability.
