Virtuous Circle: Chapter 5

"Blegh, no... No, never mind. I may vomit." Conway collapsed on the stairs. He had only gotten about five steps up when his stomach twisted. The priest felt his insides were souring from the mucky concoction he'd just drank. "We can't go on. Let's give up."

"Huh?! So fast!" Kazuki jumped in shock at the scene. "It can't have been that bad!"

"It was. My stomach feels awful." The priest lay on the stairs holding his bare, ridged abs.

"You just need to get used to it! It's only the second time, and the first time, there was no white stuff!" Kazuki scrambled to fix the situation. Not so the exorcist could do his job, but because he wanted to get off. "We'll... Uh, we'll just have to give you consistent doses! Daily! Yeah!"

Conway gagged at the sound of that, but the demon was right. He'd never drank urine before, and likely never would have if it weren't for the absolute necessity to do so. He'd had clean diets and not anything even potentially harmful to eat in his entire life. The exorcist's entire life was about his own health, cleanliness, and the safety of the world. Throwing two of those things out for the last item on the list was always going to prove to be a climb. He just needed to swallow his pride, and whatever was coming back up, and get up the damned stairs.

What Kazuki witnessed, though, was a naked exorcist crawling up the stairs slowly, as if someone had just stabbed the poor man. The demon looked shocked enough that, if his mouth were any wider, it would be broken. He wasn't sure if he should run to help Conway or if it would just be better to let the priest overcome such a simple problem as an upset stomach. Kazuki had thought initially that the exorcist was enduring and stalwart, but upon seeing this he was surprised the exorcist survived seeing someone piss.

"I refuse... to die here...!" Conway groaned out, getting to the top of the first segment of stairs. The stairway split from here to two separate halls on opposite ends.

"Die?! Overdramatic!" The demon echoed out in shock. "It's just an upset stomach, Father! Have you never had one before?"

"N-no... I have not." Conway rolled over to the right to get to the second segment of stairs. "I have never been sick."

"That... can't be healthy. To have never built your immune system? You've never experienced this before, then. It'll pass." Kazuki was of blank expression upon that revelation. This was a complete overreaction. "Now who's the adult baby, huh?"

Conway groaned and went slack on the stairs. Kazuki looked on at him with disinterest at his melodrama. The demon decided to explore the base floor as much as he could while he waited for the exorcist to make it up the stairs. Surveying his surroundings, he noted many of the plants inside the manor nearly completely blocked the walkways to other parts of the manor on the base floor.

After a bit of investigation, the demon noticed a pathway under the stiff brush blocking his way. Looking down, he saw a loose board that, when moved, revealed itself to be a passage that would avoid the plantlife in the way as long as the demon crawled. The only issue was that, after such a long time suffering without maintenance, the elements had invaded the house, and the sub-space of the floor was pooled full of sludge-like mud. If Kazuki wanted to explore, he'd need to dive in. His major concern wasn't the mud. It was a small fear that there would be a dangerous animal hiding in the mud to take a bite out of him.

He swallowed his pride and climbed down into the warm pool of mud. It was comfortable, almost like what one would experience at a spa, but he was far too nervous to enjoy the experience. At any moment, the demon expected a snake to leap out of the pool and bite his neck as he crawled past the brush. The muck was also difficult to move through, being liquid enough to move through, but too thick to do so quickly. If the demon attempted to hurry, the current of mud would concentrate into the front pouch of his fundoshi and anchor him. Worse yet, it would be a long crawl. The area under the brush was a long hall with the entire floor having crumbled for mud and the brush above encroaching everything above him.

The crawl had become ultimately nothing but a mode of travel about halfway through for Kazuki. He realized for as long as he'd been moving he should have come across a feral creature in the mud, but he had not. He felt an immense weight in his crotch, which he would need to investigate after he got out of the pool. After a few minutes, he crawled out of the mud and stood. Everything below his neck was caked in sludge and, after shaking off most of it, he looked at the front of his fundoshi to see it ballooning out, with mud spilling out of its sides.

"Augh... That's so much muck..." Kazuki lamented and was about to reach to open up the undergarment, but stopped and jumped in fright when he heard something knock over.

The demon hadn't even been paying attention to where he'd ended up, but looking around, he noticed he'd arrived in the kitchen. The room hadn't done well since it had been abandoned; it seemed. Dust was on every surface, mildew was everywhere else, and the cabinets seemed to have been ransacked. The noise he'd heard seemed to have been a jar that had knocked over and rolled into a wall.

The discovery of where the noise came from made Kazuki realize he hadn't sensed a demon at any point since arriving in the manor. Usually, the shrine demon could feel an aura of a demonic presence. The only way for something like this to go unnoticed is if the demon was incredibly weak or long gone. If the demon was weak, then why could an exorcist not have just taken care of it instead of binding it to this location? The shrine tender wasn't sure.

He investigated the kitchen for a while but ultimately came up with no evidence of anyone having gone through the room. Any way onward was also blocked by plants, with no breaks in the floor for the demon to navigate through. With a sigh, he turned back to the way he came in and unloaded his fundoshi onto the floor to prepare to crawl through again.

Just as the demon was about to exit the kitchen, he noticed a print on the kitchen's island. It was a humanoid handprint, and it was surrounded by dust. That must have meant that someone was in the room recently before him. The only way they could have traveled, though, was through the way Kazuki had. It couldn't have been a demon, though. Not a new demon, at least. Kazuki would've noticed. The only other explanation was that it wasn't a demon that had been trapped, and he suddenly realized what may be happening. He had to return to Conway quickly.

Returning, unfortunately, meant moving quickly, which meant that his fundoshi was getting stuffed the entire way back. The lavish happi he was wearing was caked in mud and the only article left on him untouched were his shades. The demon could already hear Conway barking at him about how gross and sloven he was. When he returned, though, he noticed Conway was gone.

"Ah?! Father Agnusdei?! Are you upstairs?!" The demon shouted. His words echoed, but there was no response. All that was left was a trail of ooze at the spot he'd last seen the exorcist.

With no time to do anything about the mud on him, Kazuki sloshed and bounced up the stairs to go after Conway. At the top, he could see a trail that went down the relatively clear second-floor hallway. He wasted no time rushing down to see what had happened, mud plopping onto the floor off of his body and sloshing in his ballooned fundoshi.

The hallway was rather long. Much longer than Kazuki expected it to be, and he was no good at stamina. He had to slow down to a slow walk as he wheezed for air. Turning a corner, he saw the slime trail down and turn again into one of the lavish doors. At this part of the hall, the atmosphere had completely changed.

Kazuki could see thick goo that reminded him much of his own cum, except it seemed to undulate and cover the walls of the hallway. The floor was mostly left uncovered, save for the trail. This all but confirmed Kazuki's suspicions: a‌ spirit had been trapped in the manor. An exorcist must have surmised that the spirit was too unruly, chaotic, or corrupted to continue on existing normally. Yet, because of Eizoa's religion, they probably didn't want to exorcize it like they would a demon.

Contrary to the belief of Eizoan's, spirits were not unlike demons. Both had the potential for strange power. Spirits just had a different manifestation of such power. But just like demons, spirits could be mean and awful. They could have their own opinions and make their own decisions, much like a mortal person would. Eizoan's only assumed spirits were alway benevolent due to their only exposure being kindhearted ones. In the same vein that their only exposure to demons thus far had been brutes. Kazuki realized earlier, though, that if he couldn't detect a presence, it was likely not of his own kind.

Turning to face into the room, Kazuki could see Conway, unconscious, and most of his body glued to the wall of what seemed to have previously been a tea room. Conway didn't seem disturbed. Kazuki presumed this was because Conway likely passed out earlier from his melodramatic episode. The room itself too was unrecognizable save for the faint outlines of furniture now layered in thick, off-white ooze. Stepping into it felt much like the sludge the demon had trudged through earlier.

"You've come to exorcize me... with a demon?" A masculine voice echoed out. From the pool of ooze, a spirit rose.

If Conway was eight heads tall, the spirit was eleven. It was big, tall, and fat. It wasn't so obese to not move, but in proportion to its size, it sported a heavier hanging gut and thicker proportions than Kazuki. All of its form, though, was made completely out of white-ish ooze. The spirit seemed quite bored, not even annoyed. Though, he expressed surprise when he saw that Kazuki, a demon, was working with an exorcist. Looking him over, Kazuki noticed his groin carried the same quirk that his own did: large and low-hanging balls with a turtling cock. Though as a spirit of his manifestation, that seemed like an intentional choice.

"That's yet to be seen, actually." The demon responded. He sounded calm, but his face betrayed a look of caution.

"Hm? You've... not come to exorcize me, then? Why come at all?" The spirit scratched at its gooey face with confusion. Kazuki didn't know why, but the spirit sounded stiff, as if he'd not talked in a long time.

"Well... I came along to see if you needed to be exorcized. Conway spared my life recently, even though he was sure I was a demon." Kazuki explained, having a hard time maintaining eye contact. "And... I just wanted him to extend that to everyone else we happened upon. If you didn't mean any real ill will, then we maybe... wouldn't have to."

"O-oh... I... I'm thoroughly miffed, I should say. Hm... Well, I... I don't think I believe you." The spirit admitted. His tone was plain, and his voice was raspy and deep. Kazuki looked back in shock and confusion, prompting the ooze spirit to expound. "I was left in this building by an exorcist that I... misunderstood the advances made to me. I was proclaimed debaucherous and odd and then locked away to rot here. Exorcists have not changed. Though... I... I don't understand what's happening. I am admittedly unsure of how to proceed now. My intentions were to suffocate the two of you, but I can feel your vitals through my ooze. You're telling the truth. However, no newfangled tricks will change my mind from the current course."

"New tricks? Fangled? Huh?" Kazuki noted that the spirit talked like an elderly man. "This house is rotting. Do you know how long you've been in here?"

"Time has no use for a spirit and a demon." The spirit responded.

"Uh, yeah it does! Especially if you think exorcists haven't changed! Check Father Agnusdei's crotch if you don't believe me!" The demon responded in annoyance.

The fanged beat looked curiously over at the unconscious Conway and manipulated his ooze to bring the priest closer. With a wave of one finger, the goo parted around the exorcist's crotch to show the cock cage, runes glowing brightly. The spirit realized it could not recognize or read these runes. He couldn't remove the thing either, even when using tendrils to tug on the device, accidentally slingshotting it back into place and whipping the metal against Conway's balls, prompting groans from the sleeping exorcist.

The spirit moved Conway back to the wall and covered his groin with ooze once more. He seemed pensive. Kazuki couldn't tell what he was thinking, but assumed that he was thinking about the considerable amount of time that would have to pass for him to be unable to recognize runes anymore.

"Do you see now?" Kazuki questioned rather forcefully.

"Time... has ticked by quite quickly, then. And I realize now that you are not a demon possessing a body. Things have truly changed dramatically. It still stands, though, that I'm only taking your word on this. Your unconscious exorcist could easily be a slave or recently attacked by you." The spirit glared before looking back at Conway. "I will await his waking, and you will stay put."

The ooze spirit attempted to grapple the demon, but the ooze slipped off of the portly man completely. Both the spirit and Kazuki were confused. The spirit tried again, and the goo slipped off completely. No residue, and no staying power. It was almost as if the shrine demon was immune to the elemental manipulation of spirits. Kazuki hadn't known of this and was equally stumped. He had no intentions of leaving behind the exorcist, though.

"Well, I can only hope your word is good, then. Please, stay, so that I may make a judgment. That is only if you truly care as you claim to for this priest." The spirit stated, and sunk once again into the thick goo it had created, disappearing completely.

An hour had gone by before Conway finally awoke. The priest was groggy and unsure why he couldn't move. He looked over and saw Kazuki on an odd-looking bed. The demon noticed and waved over at the exorcist. Conway attempted a halfhearted wave back, but found his arm couldn't move. He body was vacuum sealed to the wall and his balls were throbbing in pain. That was when he fully awoke.

"Eh?! What is happening?! Kazuki, did you knock me unconscious or something?!" Conway shouted, and Kazuki glared.

"What?! Presumptuous! No, you fell asleep because you whined too much about drinking piss!" The demon shouted back.

"Shut up! Don't say something like that so casually!" The exorcist stopped his yelling and took in a breath. "Ok... where are we?"

"A room." Kazuki answered, and Conway looked as if he could shoot daggers from his eyes.

"Correct. And now I must ask, dear Father, why you are in this room? In this manor, even?" The spirit returned, rising from the goo on the floor just enough so that his head could be seen.

Conway looked down at the spirit and began processing the situation. The exorcist that bound the spirit to the manor must have had ample reason. Though, it was likelier because, in days of old, priests had little exposure to even demons. They were a small organization in older times, and anything paranormal was oft-seen as a threat. The spirit must have acted in a way that seemed demonic to the older priest and trapped the spirit within. Considering Conway wasn't dead, it was the likelier case compared to some perverse corruption.

"I will be honest. I arrived intending to exorcize you. However, my original assumptions were incorrect." Conway explained. "I thought you were a demon. A powerful one, and a dangerous one. Seeing now that you're a spirit, I can't continue forward. You haven't killed me. So you are of no threat to me. Do as you will."

The spirit wasn't expecting the response. So far, he hadn't expected a single thing to have happened that did of this encounter. He was just given sparing words by an exorcist. One that was working in tandem with a demon. Regardless of exceptions, there was no way this would have happened in his age. Now, he was left with freedom as his option, and knew nothing of what to do with it.

Conway was lowered from the wall and released from the ooze. Unlike the demon, Conway could not avoid being coated in splooge, like he'd just been doused in cum by hundreds of men. Kazuki daydreamed luridly, and the spirit turned to look at the demon momentarily, feeling the demon's heart rate increasing.

"You two are free to go. I'll... take my leave at some point. Thank you. Truly." The spirit was about to dive back down, but Kazuki stopped him.

"Hey, wait! Why not hang out with us? You don't know anything about the modern age. Would be nice to know, right?" The demon beamed and Conway, trying to get the glue-thick goop off of himself, looked at Kazuki with disdain.

"I cannot carry every stray on my back, you know. And he makes a mess with that goo. Look at me!" The exorcist complained. Kazuki shrugged in response.

"Well, it didn't do anything to me. And if you want any more protection from me, we have to be more of a democracy around here. For the people, I say!" The portly man hefted a fist in the air righteously.

The spirit seemed to look between the two, his head still the only visible thing as he turned pensive once more. After a couple moments of silence, the spirit rose from the muck, causing Conway to go through a series of emotions, seeing the creature get taller and taller as he rose. The spirit's head nearly poked the ceiling of an already excessively sized room. The goo, as well, retracted within the spirit, making the creature's stomach droop a slight bit more. Kazuki noted to himself that it must have meant he used his mass to produce the goo.

"I am Cú Chulainn. I think I would like to join the two of you." He proclaimed.

"Alright! Awesome!" Kazuki jumped in joy as Conway tried to shake off the goo.

"Not alright! He's naked!" The exorcist cut in to shout.

"Oh, yeah. Well, welcome aboard anyway." Kazuki nodded up to the spirit and Cú Chulainn gave a delayed nod back.

"I don't have to be in this form. I can shape myself differently if needed. In fact, I could create a powerful protective suit for you, Father." The spirit explained and Kazuki beamed again.

"Small miracles!" The shrine demon cheered, but Conway wasn't convinced.

"This isn't a trick? No strange possession? You really can?" He interrogated.

"No tricks. I am too obvious a target for strange stares, I would prefer to be discrete in that way." The ooze replied. Conway sighed and relented himself.

Cú Chulainn happily walked over to the priest and began to almost melt on Conway's body. His ooze contoured and shaped every inch of the exorcist's body below his neck. To Kazuki, it looked like a nude man suddenly becoming a superhero. It was like a skin tight latex covering his every crevice. A second layer of skin with the texture of rubber. Though, to Conway, it felt like constantly being in a pool of warm ooze. It even, unfortunately, defined his cock cage and balls. The spirit, hoever, was not done.

"It seems all of my mass won't fit on the surface of your body. I need somewhere to put what's left." Cú Chulainn explained from the suit. He showed off his two massive hands to show the remaining mass.

"Anywhere but my damned rear. I'm sure Kazuki was about to offer the spot." conway answered as he looked over at Kazuki. The demon was just about to speak but clamped his own mouth shut.

"If that is what you wish." The spirit said and his hands disappeared into the suit.

Conway felt a sudden pain in his groin. It wasn't excruciating like being stabbed, but throbbed as if he'd been whipped in the balls or kicked. He grabbed at his crotch in pain as he found his balls increasing in size. The spirit was going directly through the holes of his cock cage to enter his balls and fill them with his own ooze. It was heavy enough to anchor down his nuts as if they were being yanked and kicked at the same time. By the time it was over, his balls looked as big as Kazuki's and were given their own compartment in the suit to dangle for all to see. Even the skintight pressure against his engorged nuts were a pain. Every step would remind him of how sore they were. That was no good.

"Nope nope get off!" Conway yelled as he kneeled in discomfort.

"Unfortunately, that process would be impossible now. I can only move myself around on your body, but it seems I'm trapped behind your cage, so I cannot remove myself completely." The spirit admitted with an apologetic tone. Conway felt intense tugged upwards on his balls before it abruptly stopped. "Yes... it seems I cannot remove myself. If you need to use the facilities, I can open a space for your rear or your cage. I apologize, Father."

"Everyone will know you have a cock cage now." Kazuki stated and Conway turned to glare.

Conway's entire body was completely non-discrete now. There was no hiding his massive balls, or their pain, but there was also no way to hide his pecs, his ass, or his nipples. He was like the erotic version of a superhero. He could only imagine what other exorcists would have to say about his appearance as a veteran.

"Let's just leave. We'll figure it out on the way to the north." The exorcist admitted adn powered through the bounce of his heavy balls as he walked out of the room.
