Jeff woke up to the smell of coffee. He opened his eyes, immediately recalled everything from last night and smiled. He and Will were facing each other and Will's face was so peaceful as he slept. Jeff wanted to wake him with a kiss - or more - but when he looked at the clock and noticed that it was only 8:00, he decided to let him sleep. They'd been asleep for less than four hours, but Jeff always rose early, so he knew he couldn't stay in bed.

Jeff slipped quietly out of bed, grabbed his shorts and shirt and gently closed the door behind him. He pissed in the hall bathroom and headed downstairs for coffee. Mike was standing in the kitchen sipping his coffee, looking out the back window as the sun started making it's way through the trees. Jeff admired Mike's naked upper body and said, "'Morning," hoping he wouldn't startle him.

"Hey," Mike said. "Want some coffee?"

"Yes, sir - please."

"Cream and sugar?"

"No. Black. Thanks." Jeff took his first sip and smiled.

Mike grabbed his shirt from the chair, put it on and sat at the kitchen table. Jeff took a chair opposite him, both men sipping their coffee thinking about the silence and what to say.

"Can I talk to you?" Jeff asked. He stared at his coffee cup... steam rising, creating swirls over the rim.

"Of course. You can talk to me about anything you want." Mike smiled, but thought, 'uh-oh... here it comes.'

"You said this is a safe place - and I really feel like it is - so that's... this... [he stammered] this is new to me," Jeff started. "This whole thing with Will and... I'm nervous, I guess, and just not sure what to do next. "

"What do you mean?" Mike asked.

Jeff looked up. "My dad's a Major General in the Army, Mike. I want to be an Army Ranger and move up in the ranks too... be an officer. I know there's no more 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' but I don't think my dad will understand if I tell him I'm gay," Jeff answered. His delivery was straightforward and factual, betraying no emotion in his words. It was obvious he had trained himself to hide his feelings. And he had gone right to the heart of the problem.

"Are you gay?" I asked him. I mean, if we're putting a label on it...

"Yeah, I am... and I've known for a while, but I haven't told anyone else. You're the first person, actually." He smiled. "But after last night I'm sure Will suspects."

We both laughed at that.

"So you guys had a good time last night?" Mike asked.

He smiled and nodded, taking a long sip of his coffee. I pegged it... ROTC and trained not to give away too much information. He wasn't going to share any details about last night... and I didn't want him to.

"Was there more you wanted to talk about?" I asked. I got up and headed back into the kitchen. "You hungry? I'm gonna' cook."

"Yessir. Food would be good, sir," he said. Maybe the distance and me being occupied would make him feel more comfortable talking.

"You like your eggs scrambled or fried?" I asked him grabbing things from the fridge.

"However you cook them is fine with me, sir."

I figured I'd scramble a dozen with cheese, that way Will could eat when he woke. Three hungry young guys like us can easily put away a dozen eggs. Water for instant grits. Hash cooking on the stove. I whipped the eggs around, threw some shredded cheese in, poured it into my frying pan, then looked at Jeff.

He was watching me intently. "Do you mind if I ask... are you gay?" he asked me.

"I think I'm mostly gay," I said, "but I've moved past worrying about what I call myself. I mean, I understand the label - I do - and I understand that you need to identify yourself that way if you're not ever interested in being with a woman." His face was flat... I'd talked too much. "I'm sorry... short answer, 'yes, I am,'" I said. He smiled.

"Is it tough?" he asked.

He was struggling with this. I've been there. I remember what it was like to tell my parents and my close friends... and I remember what it was like when I stopped talking about it... and I remember what it was like when I pulled into my shell in college to get away from men - before Alex pulled me back to reality. I looked at the clock... it was 8:20.

"I think LIFE is tough, Jeff," I answered him. "But you've got to be happy and you've got to be happy with who you are. If you try to live for everyone else it will make life a lot tougher. And where's the fun in that? Life is short, y'know?"

He nodded. For such a powerhouse-body-guy with a tough look, this young man had a soft heart and I was glad Will found someone like Jeff.

I fixed us each a plate of food - him more than me - and sat across from him. He immediately started eating... just like a soldier - quick and efficient - probably the way he'd been trained at home, but between bites he talked.

"I've never felt like this about anyone," he said, "but it feels weird that it's a guy. I mean, I can't go brag to my buddies that I just had the most awesome fuck and night of my life." He caught himself after saying that and blushed. "Well, I just bragged to someone, so there ya go."

"Listen," I said, "you guys will figure this out. You've got all summer, but remember to take time to get to know each other. Fucking is fun, I'll give you that, but that ain't all it's about. Spend some time together. Go fishing or hiking or whatever you guys like to do."

He pushed his empty plate away and I quickly ate what was left on my plate.

"Thank you, sir," he said. "I can see why Will says you're such a good friend."

"Any time, Jeff, any time. Now I've got to get a shower because I'm picking someone up from the airport at 11. But stay as long as you like. Go swimming. Whatever you guys want to do, ok?"

"Thank you, sir."

And I headed for the shower. I finished my shower and had just lathered my face to shave when I heard a knock and my bedroom door open.

"Mike, you in here?" Will asked.

I wrapped a towel around my waist and peeked out of the bathroom door. "Yeah, what's up?"

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"As long as I can shave while you talk," I answered.

"Yeah - that's fine." I started shaving and he started talking. He lowered his voice. "I don't want you to feel bad about what happened between us, but I can tell you do... I can feel it," he said. I cut my eyes to look at him in the mirror and kept shaving. "But, look... you didn't take advantage of me or anything like that. I wanted it more than you did. You're like a big brother to me and I don't want that to change. What happened wasn't weird... it was just two guys being horny - and I'm lucky you were the first guy I was with, but I really just want to stay good friends, ok?"

Damn he was mature about things. "Ok," I said.

Will continued... "I'm not going to tell Jeff or Alex about it. You do whatever you want about Alex, but as far as I'm concerned it's between you and me and that's where it's staying."

I finished shaving, rinsed my face and looked at him, dripping water onto my chest, suddenly self-conscious standing there in a towel. "Thank you, Will," I said. "I want us to stay friends, too... and it sounds like things are moving along with you and Jeff." I smiled at him and he beamed at me. I wanted to hug him, but - he was right - I was a little uncomfortable.

"Ohmygod, can I tell you about it?" he asked.

"I really need to get ready to go pick Alex up from the airport," I said. "Can you tell me later?"

"Yeah... but I can't wait to tell you," he said as he left my bedroom. Will was about to jump out of his skin he was so excited.

I dressed quickly, grabbed my keys and wallet and opened my bedroom door. Will was heading upstairs "thanks for breakfast, Mike" and told me that Jeff had gone home to shower, change and get some stuff to come back over. "He said you told him it was ok."

As I pulled my truck onto the road I replayed the last few days. Will was right... I had been feeling guilty about what happened with him, but I would have talked with him about it if he hadn't approached me first. I didn't know if Alex would understand, so I decided I wouldn't tell him... at least, not right away. I mean, there's no agreement between us or anything, right? So, why should I feel bad about it? But I did feel bad about it. And I thought, 'how would I feel if Alex had some fuck while he was back home seeing his Mom?' Then it hit me... I wouldn't care what he did. I have no hold over him and he sure as hell doesn't have one on me.

I clicked the radio on and it soothed my nerves a little, though I was really excited to see Alex. Jeff's words started replaying in my mind and I agreed with him... I hadn't felt like this before either. That realization kinda' scared me a little because Alex had a hold on me and he seemed to know it. From the minute I smelled the fresh cut grass mixing with his body musk I was hooked. What is it scientists say about smells? They're like emotional triggers? That must be it with Alex, but I couldn't recall what emotional memory my mind was working on or tying to that smell. It doesn't matter anyway. In an hour his hot little ass would be sitting in my truck! I'd probably have to fight my hard-on as soon as I saw him.

====

I checked the text from Alex to make sure I was parking in the right area for his flight, then headed for the terminal where his plane would land. The Departures/Arrivals Board said his plane was on time, but I was 30 minutes early. I grabbed a bottle of water and wandered around the gift shop. 'Should I get him something?' I asked myself. Oh I could just hear his smart mouth - 'An airport present? That's what you got me?' But he would love whatever I got him... I knew it. So, I kept looking around, going through all the little cheap trinkets, picking up magazines, turning the postcard rack... and then, I saw it. Now, maybe this is just stupid, but as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to buy it for him. There, by the register, was a small display of hemp rope bracelets. They weren't flashy, but there was one with some green and blue and brown colored ropes running through it and I thought it would amazing against his bronze skin.

I paid for it immediately, told the woman I didn't need a bag and stashed it in my pocket and left the shop. I was heading back to the terminal when another thought hit me. I turned around, almost knocking over an older couple - "s'cuse me ma'am, sir" - then, went back into the shop. "Let me get one more of those," I said. I paid quickly. No bag. And now I had two of the exact same bracelets. One for Alex and one for me. I felt like a little school girl, but I didn't care. He would love it.

I sat down as the gate attendant announced that flight 229 would be arriving shortly. I looked around - not many people waiting here, but I saw a couple of guys and women who might be waiting for a spouse or significant other. My palms were sweaty and my breathing was shallow. I couldn't sit still. I went to the bathroom to pee, hoping that it would make the flight land faster, and when I got back to the gate the flight was heading for the gangway. I smiled... 'peeing worked!' I laughed out loud when I thought that, but no one looked at me.

The first passengers to exit were, of course, first-class passengers and I expected Alex would have flown coach, but there he was... three people deep, behind 'Miss Too-Much-Makeup' and 'Mr. My-Briefcase-Is-Bigger.' At 5'10" he could easily see over the people in front of him and he flashed me that ultra-white smile. My heart was beating fast and I was smiling too. I noticed the guy next to me look at me, then look to see who I was looking at, but I wasn't paying any attention to him because Alex was smiling at me!

He walked up, put his carry-on down and hugged me - hard. I hugged him back and didn't really want to let go, but he pushed back and went right in for a kiss. My eyes flew open because I was surprised, but I didn't pull back. The guy next to me said "ugh" like he was disgusted, but he was half the man I was and I could have kicked his ass if I wanted, so I didn't even pay any attention to him. So, there we were, two hot young guys having a long wet kiss in the terminal.

"I missed you," he said, letting me go.

"Me too," I said. "Let's go home."

He grabbed my hand, I grabbed his carry-on and we walked through the airport holding hands. It felt liberating, somehow, because I'd finally found someone who wasn't scared of what people would think. I know... I gave that advice to Jeff just this morning, but I don't think I'd ever taken it to heart, mostly because I hadn't been with anyone in a long time. Now, here was someone I thought I could really like and it felt good... it felt nice... and I knew I was infatuated.

====

I put his suitcase in the back of the extended cab and he climbed into the passenger seat. When I got in he leaned over and kissed me again, his tongue thrusting it's way into my mouth, his breath fresh and minty. 'I wish I gum in my mouth,' I thought.

He pulled back and ran his hand along my chest and down to my cock. "Oh, I want this so bad," he said. I smiled. I was getting hard quickly.

"I got you a present," I said reaching into my pocket. I was careful to only pull one bracelet and I kept it balled in my fist.

"You got me an airport present, didn't you?" he asked mockingly.

"Oh, I will fuck you silly later," I said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Yes you will," he smiled.

I held my balled-up hand out to him and let him pry my fingers open. He took it from my hand and held it up. "I like it," he said starting to put it on.

"Wait, there's more." I reached back into my pocket and got the other one, presenting my hand to him the same way... fingers balled tightly together. He tried to pry my fingers open, but I let him struggle for it this time, keeping my grip tight for a few seconds, but finally giving in.

When the recognition went from his eyes to his brain and back again, he just sat there. He didn't take it from my hand, but looked into my eyes.

"Really?" he asked and looked back at my hand. He didn't take the bracelet, but lunged for me - climbing into my lap, trying to straddle me, his arms around my neck and shoulders, his ass hitting the horn and scaring the shit out of both of us. I looked around, but there was no one else in the parking garage, and we both started laughing. He stayed in that position, took my right wrist and put the bracelet on me, then handed his back so I could do the same.

"Look, we're twins," I said.

"I like it," he said again... but he said it differently this time because it had a different meaning this time.

Alex got back into the passenger seat, we buckled up and headed for home. "Want to have dinner at my place tonight?" he asked.

"Will is staying with me, remember?"

"Oh yeah... well, we can cook him dinner then." He was looking at me - probably trying to distract me while I drove - but being careful with his hands... for now.

"Well, there will be four of us," I added. "Will's got a boyfriend." I shot him a sideways glance and smirked.

"Really?"

"Yeah - a really nice guy named 'Jeff.'"

"He bagged Jeff?" Alex asked, surprise in his voice. "You've met him, right?"

"Uh-huh," I answered.

"Damn, he's a hot one." Alex fanned himself like he was hot. "He was in the same dual course Will was taking. That's how I met them both."

"He's a nice guy," I said. "Anyway, I'm sure Jeff will be at the house again tonight. He spent the night with Will last night and I'm sure they got it on. Will wanted him really bad."

"Awesome. Can't wait to see him again."

"So, I've been meaning to ask you something," I said. "I can't figure out your... ummm... 'nationality' is the word, I guess. I was thinking Italian or something, but..." he interrupted me.

"I'm half Native American," Alex said. "My father is full-blooded Sauk and my mom is white. I got a lot of the Native American skin coloring, but the Sauk have features very similar to Caucasoid features. Almost no one guesses I'm part Sauk Indian." He was obviously proud of that heritage.

"Well, let me tell you... you are the most fuckin' gorgeous man I've ever met," I gushed at him. He looked taken with me saying that. "Seriously. Have you seen yourself naked? And your skin... and that hair. I mean, mygod!"

He reached over and put his hand on my half-hard cock. "I so want to blow you right now," he said.

I put my hand over his. I wanted it, but I wanted to taste him, too. "Let's wait til later, ok? I want you and the anticipation is going to make it rock later."

"Ok," he smiled.

====

We got steaks, potatoes, salad, bread and some broccoli, just in case Jeff needed some extra roughage. Honestly, I don't know what these teenagers eat, but - fuckmedown - how do they build 'em so hot these days?

We pulled up to my house, but Jeff's truck wasn't there and it made me a little worried. Alex grabbed some of the groceries and headed inside to see Will while I grabbed his suitcase and the rest of the groceries. When I got inside they were talking and laughing and Alex was whispering something. It was almost like they were girls on the playground, but - thankfully - neither of them looked or acted like a little girl. They were just excited to see each other.

"Where's Jeff?" I asked. I tried not to sound like a parent, but I know it came out that way.

"He should be here any minute... got stuck at home dealing with something, but wants to talk when he gets here," Will answered. His face had a tiny hint of fear in it, but he's a smart kid. He probably already reasoned that it wouldn't be something bad if he was on his way back over here. It was obvious that he didn't want to talk about it.

"So... about last night?" I figured I should prod him along now.

"Ohmygod, Mike. We had so much fun. We sucked and fucked - well, he fucked me - and we ate each others'... should I be saying all this like this?"

Alex stood at the counter and bust out laughing... I started laughing, then Will started laughing.

"What's so funny?" he finally asked.

"You," Alex said. "I think you gave us the full picture right there, y'know?" Alex kept laughing while getting the steaks ready to marinate.

Will flopped into a bar stool. "I'm in love... I'll just say it - I might not know the difference between love and lust, but I like it!" We both laughed at him again.

I heard a car door shut out front and figured Jeff was back. Will jumped up and headed for the door. It was 2:45 and I was already hungry. We should have had lunch, but I wasn't really hungry for lunch.

"I don't think I'll be able to wait too long for food," I said.

"Me either," Alex agreed as we both looked toward the front door.

"What's wrong?" Will was asking Jeff as they came in.

Jeff sat down hard on the couch in the living room and Will sat next to him looking at his face. It was obvious Jeff had been crying.
