Blast in Bermuda 3

LAST TIME Nathan and Ritchie had another argument while going through the iternary, with Nathan unable to come to the conclusion how he had woken up in their bedroom after falling asleep in the livingroon. Ritchie had taken his first tour group out, while Cindy, his girlfriend, promised Nathan sex in exchange for making peace with Ritchie, which Nathan declined, not because he didn't want to make peace with Ritchie, but because he thought it wrong to have sex with another dude's girlfriend. While swimming, he came across a diver, whom he thought he was a tourist who needed help. The diver tried to drown him though, and he was forced to devulge what happened to Ritchie. Ritchie told him what he saw that morning, the man who spoke Spanish on the radio microphone and the same diver to came out of the ocean. Together they came up with a plan to keep Nathan away from being seen, incase they would come back for him, by claiming he was sick from a tropical illness. Nathan asked Ritchie if he carried him to bed the previous night, and Ritchie admitted it. In a surprising gesture, Nathan reached out and placed his hand on Ritchie's shoulder in thanks. Meanwhile, Cristo and the diver found what they were looking for, an uncut diamond near the two rock statues situated in the ocean. Now on for chapter 3*

"Es hermoso! Mui bonita!!" Cristo said as he turned the uncut diamond over in the palm of his hand. This was what he was waiting for almost his entire life. The diver came out of the water, dripping from head to toe, walking up to Cristo.

"There are every chance that that one is not the only diamond that is hidden here," he said.

"It was a entire truck load full of jewelery that they had stolen, Amigo. We had to live in fucking poverty whilst here our treasure was waiting!"

"What exactly happened, Cristo? That day that you're always talking about?"

Cristo looked out into the ocean, glistering due to the moonlight on the crystal clear waters. He closed his eyes and relieved that day...that day where his grandfather told him of his ancestors, and how his great-grandfather had come home and told them that the robbery of the Spanish Kingdom in 1936 had gone according to plan. But four hours later, they had gotten word that the precious cargo had been robbed by pirates on the open seas, whilst transporting the goods to their base in Antigua. The cargo was never found but Cristo's father, had before he died, gotten word that a UNCUT diamond was found underwater by a pair of underwater specialists researching the location for a documentary. Cristo's father and his gang of soldiers then established that the rest of the diamonds had to be in that region. After their search of Antigua proved negative, Bermuda was next on their list. Cristo's father unfortunately died before the operation could be begin, and therefore Cristo came to Bermuda to explore. It was the two giant rock statues that immediately drew his attention. If there was going to be exploring done, he was going to start there. And yes, they had found out that one of the rock statues was indeed hollow, and that the pirates may have hidden the treasure in there years and years ago.

Before Cristo could answer the diver, he heard a gun shot go off, and that brought him back to the present. He pushed the diver into the water where they could not be seen.

"Usted esta loco??" he hissed to the diver, before pulling him behind the statue. "Why did you do that?"

"There was two men watching us, Cristo! I had to shoot! Do you want this to be fucked up?"

"Im tired of this. Im going to have to take action. Whoever was watching us, will PAY...TONIGHT!"

"We almost got killed dude! What the hell were you thinking? If I hadn't come looking for you, you would have been killed! That was a gun shot, Nathan! We agreed that you would stay here!" Ritchie screamed at his roommate.

"None of your fucking business, fuckface!" Nathan screamed back, walked into the bathroom and slammed door behind him. Ritchie sighed. How could he have thought Nathan would ever change towards him? He walked into the bedroom, without even taking his clothes off, and almost immediately fell asleep. It was a very, very long day...

Ritchie opened his eyes to see Nathan laying on his side looking straight at him. The latter's eyes casted right over his body and suddenly leaned down to kiss the surprised and astonished Ritchie, but the feelings that he felt from finally being kissed by the boy he loved was overwhelming. He finally got over his initial shock and passionately kissed Nathan back, reaching up and grasping the side of Nathan's face, caressing his cheek, running his hands through Nathan's sexy black hair, pulling his boy closer to him. Nathan was kissing him so lovingly, as he pulled away from Ritchie's mouth, he moved down to his neck while Ritchie groaned out in sheer emotional exstacy. Nathan's soft, yet callused lips travelled all the way from his cheek to his collarbone, gently placing kisses everywhere he possibly could. Ritchie pulled Nathan's head closer to his chest, where Nathan rested his head for a little while before looking up into Ritchie's face, dragging his body upwards until he slowly laid his bigger frame on that of the latter, gently nuzzling Ritchie's cheek and neck, enhaling the sweet, sweaty smell of him. Ritchie smiled upwards to the boy he loved, yet hated, but right now, his heart was dancing in his rib cage, dancing for joy for he was finally with Nathan. Nathan took Ritchie's face into his big hands and quietly, romantically, kissed him, so much so that Ritchie had no choice but to sigh happily, his whole body surrenduring his passion to Nathan.

"I love you...I love you so, so much..." Ritchie barely whispered, his voice touched by the sheer emotion of the moment.

"Oh God, Ritchie, can you ever forgive me for being the scumbag that I was to you? All I ever wanted was for you to love me and take notice of me...from the moment I saw you I was head over heels. Please say you forgive me, Ritchie, please!" Nathan begged, with tears filling his eyes.

"Ofcourse I do, dude! I fucking love you, I'll forgive you for anything! We were so fucking stupid, man...kiss me, kiss me and never let me go..."

"Im not dude, I'll never get you out of my sight again...I love you Ritchie..."

Ritchie's eyes flooded open as a huge explosion of sound and movement triggered his subconscious. He flew upwards from the bed, while he saw Nathan in the livingroom, covering his ears, while the entire room was seemed to be shaking like mad. Suddenly the noise was gone like the way it had began, and Ritchie ran over to Nathan immediately.

"Dude, are you okay, what's wrong? What the hell is going on out there?"

"I...I don't know! I was laying on our bed reading when all of a sudden, this massive "bang" was coming from somewhere in the hotel. You think it could be an earthquake or something?"

"You were...you were reading when this happened?" Ritchie asked, clearly confused.

"No shit Ritchie Rich, lets get outside and see what the fuck happened!" Nathan shouted as the screams and fear from the rest of the guests in the hotel was becoming more and more apparant. He pulled the door open, only to be greeted by a sea of flames and smoke warreling in from the left side of the hotel. Nathan started to cough as the smoke entered his lungs, turned around and ran towards Ritchie who was standing still, as if he was made out of stone.

"Ritchie, are you crazy, we got to get out of here! You wanna fucking burn to death?" he shouted to Ritchie.

Ritchie was still coming to terms that everything he thought he and Nathan did on the bed, declaring their love to eachother etc...was nothing but a dream? He was heartbroken inside and furious that his subconscious would allow him to have a dream, so real and powerful like that. He came back to his sences when he was slapped through the face, only to see a desperate Nathan standing infront of him, his face full of fear.

"Dude, COME ON!!" he screamed, as Ritchie's legs finally got into action and he ran after Nathan. Everywhere they looked, there was smoke and flames surrounding them, with screams here and there, making it every difficult to find a way out of the hotel. Suddenly they heard and felt a flush of water spraying over them, but that made everything worse when the thick black dust that was elicting from the burned materials started clinging to them even more. Bit by bit the fire started to come under control, but the smoke was very intense. Ritchie grabbed hold of Nathan's hand and the two of them led eachother out of the still burning building.

"Ritchie, watch out!" Nathan shouted from behind him, and Ritchie, who was walking infront, suddenly was pushed out of the way when a huge chandelier fell from the ceiling and missed him by inches. Ritchie's chest was starting to hurt from the fell, and he could feel a massive pain in his ankle. He felt two strong arms pick him up, but before he could take in anything what was happening around him in the black smokey surroundings, the pain in his chest became unbearable and he closed his eyes in defeat.

"Cristo...Cristo are you here?" the diver whispered in Spanish. He was cold and starting to feel sick, all he wanted to do was sleep, but Cristo had to know what was going on.

"I am here, you idiot! What the hell were u thinking throwing that petrol bomb in the hotel? Do you want to be back in jail? I wanted to take care of it my way!"

"Cristo, please, I was thinking that if the hotel burned down, then we would have solved the problem of that kid that was watching me...and those who watched us earlier!"

"You fool! You absolute fool! Traditore!!" Cristo screamed into the silent night air before reaching his hands into his trousers and pulling his gun out of its holster, pointing it towards the diver, who was by now shivering in his pants.

"Cristo, now please, I only did what I thought would save us...if...if that kid would start talking it would ruin everything!"

"You don't get it, do you? This was always part of my plan. After finding the diamonds, I have no need for you. You know too much, and I don't plan to share what is rightfully mine...with anyone. Adios...Amigo!"

The gunshot that went off was completely unnoticed in the aftermath of the hotel that was burning down. The diver's body fell to the ground after the first gunshot, and after a second was fired, his body was drifting in the tide that was pushing up, his face still in protest, and that was the way it would remain forever. Cristo put away the gun back in its holster and walked back to the hotel.

Ritchie opened his eyes, but immediately closed them again. The light was hurting his eyes. He felt an arm on his shoulder and then a voice, the voice he loved more than life itself.

"Ritchie? Can you hear me, dude? Are you awake?"

Ritchie willed his eyes open no matter the pain. He had to see him. And there he was. Nathan...

"I love you..." Ritchie said before shutting his eyes again due to the sheer exhaustion, leaving Nathan dazed and confused.

Nathan found Cindy beside herself when he returned to the hotel. Luckily only the west side of the hotel was so badly damaged that the guests had to be evacuated, but deep inside him he knew that it had to do with that guy who wanted to drown him and who they saw at the rock statues earlier that evening. A petrol bomb was thrown inside the hotel, and for some reason he knew that it was to silence him...But he was forced to calm Cindy down first.

"Cindy, will you fucking relax! Ritchie Rich is going to be fine, you really don't need to worry about the nerd, okay? Now please I need to find Mr Coleman and tell him how your boyfriend is doing."

"No! Nathan, don't! Please he can't handle any more bad news at the moment!"

Nathan turned around and look at Cindy in confusion. Any MORE bad news? Did that diver guy do something to Mr Coleman? He turned around once more and ran to Mr Coleman's room, bursting inside, seeing their Tourism teacher sitting on his bed with his head in his hands. Where was Donnie? Nathan quitely walked over to Mr Coleman, placing his hand on his shoulder, allowing the teacher to look up at him, his eyes in tears.

"Nathan...Nathan thank God you and Ritchie are safe!" Mr Coleman shouted and embraced Nathan, who was getting more and more freaked out every minute. He released himself from the teacher's grasp, and then took him by the shoulders and looked him straight in his face.

"Sir, what happened? Please tell me, I can sence something is wrong!"

"Mr Coleman shook his head and wiped his tears away before sitting down once more. His voice broke up as he spoke.

"Donnie...Donnie was in the shower when it happened. He...oh God...he didn't get out soon enough...and the fact that he wasn't wearing anything...I still cannot believe it! Nathan, Donnie...Donnie died! I cannot believe it!!" Mr Coleman said before sobs overtook his body.

Nathan felt his whole body tense up at hearing that. Donnie...Donnie was dead? And if this happened because that diver was scared that Nathan would report that he tried to drown him, and tried to finish him off by throwing a petrol bomb into the hotel...then Donnie's death was his fault, and his alone. Nathan turned around and walked back to his room. Never before had he felt so terribly alone in his life. At once his thoughts turned to Ritchie, and what he had said to him at the hospital. For the first time in Nathan Barton's life he needed Ritchie, wanted to be with him, because he was the only other person that knew what Nathan was going through at this moment. He missed Ritchie, they had always been competing ever since they met, and now that Ritchie wasn't here, he actually missed him. Nah...Ritchie couldn't have meant what he said...or maybe he did, but he thought he was talking to Cindy, afterall he was heavy concussed. He couldn't have meant he loved...him?

Nathan didn't even think twice when he saw that chandelier starting to wobble from the ceiling, and he immediately could see that it would crush Ritchie if he didn't push him out of the way. In that moment he realised, that if something would have happened to Ritchie in this hotel fire...he would actually be sad. Ritchie was his rival, his enemy...so why at this moment...did Ritchie feel like so much more to him?

The hotel manager came to Mr Coleman personally to apologise for the unfortunate incient in which Donnie was killed. Jessica, who always had a crush on Donnie, hardly spoke a word to anyone, not even Cindy, since it happened. Mr Coleman had to send an email back to South Africa, to inform the principal of Clifton High what had happened, and he would deal with telling Donnie's parents about his death. But Nathan wasn't there to see it all. He had taken the mini bus with which they took the tourists out and drove to the hospital. He HAD to talk to Ritchie...

As he entered the hospital room, Ritchie was paging through a magazine, with surfers on the cover, and trying very hard to fully relax. Nathan knocked softly on the door and got Ritchie's attention.

"Hey dude," Ritchie said, closing the magazine and dropping it onto the cabinet next to him.

"Hey Ritchie Rich. How're you doing?"

"Im over the worst apparantly, the doctor said that I could go back to the hotel tomorrow afternoon. My ankle isn't broken, just bruised. What the fuck happened, Nathan? With the hotel, I mean?"

"It was a petrol bomb thrown into the hotel. Ritchie, I think it was those two that we saw this past couple of days. Something is going on there on that island. And Im gonna find out what it is. First someone try to kill me, then we see two people at those rock statues with something that glitters, then we get shot at, and the next thing, some tries to burn the hotel down. Clearly they want to get rid of us."

"Why dont we go to the police? Tell them what we know!"

"Ritchie, where is our proof? We know that they are up to something illegal, but how do we prove it?"

"Wait...its now twice that we have seen them at those rock statues, isn't it? Wait until later this afternoon, okay, when Jessica will take the tourists out to St David's Town. Then you go take a look what is going on there. See if you can find something or see anything that might be suspicious."

"Think you're on to something there, dude! You're right, I'll go and check it out. I wanna get to the bottom of this and..."

"Just...promise me that you'll be careful, Nathan," Ritchie interrupted.

There was a silent, awkward moment just then, both with their own ideas and thoughts in their minds. Ritchie wanted nothing more than to take Nathan in his arms and just hold him close, while Nathan was wrestling with the biggest fear he has ever faced. His eyes widened when he saw a single tear running down Ritchie's face. Nathan didn't know what to do, and before he could stop himself, he had reached out his hand and stopped the rolling tear from going any futher. Ritchie looked up at Nathan with a wonder in his blue eyes. It was then that Nathan found his voice again.

"When I was here earlier this morning, you said..."I love you." Ritchie...I know that you were concussed and shit but...who did you mean to say that to?"

That mere fact that Nathan didn't automatically assume it was to Cindy, but had to ask, told Ritchie that Nathan was on to him. Suddenly he didn't care any more. He was tired of fighting a losing battle, it was not helping him in any way. He had tried and tried without success and he had given up the fight. He surrended.

"Nathan...I was talking to you. Nate, I have been in love with you ever since I first saw you. Please dont ask me how it happened, because I don't know myself. You can hit me, fuck me up as much as you like. It won't change the fact that I feel for you more than I will ever feel for Cindy. Im sorry, Nate...Nathan where are you...?"

Ritchie was just in time to see how Nathan left the room. There he had it. When they returned to South Africa, Nathan would probably have told the entire school. But he was prepared for it. There was no way that he was going to live a lie any longer. He had almost died without telling Nathan he loved him. He layed back against the pillows. If everyone was going to hate him from now on, so be it. He loved Nathan, and was not gonna deny it any longer.

Back at the hotel, Nathan brought the mini bus to a stop so fucking fast, the tyers was smoking and burned rubber could be smelled all around him. He stormed into the hotel, and ran straight bang into Cindy.

"Hey, look where you're going!" she shouted angrily.

Suddenly Nathan came to a standstill and took a double take at Cindy. He then moved towards her and planted a big kiss on her lips, as if he wanted to prove something to himself more urgently than he wanted to admit. He roughly grabbed her beautiful hair in one hand, and whispered in her ear:

"Your offer from yesterday...does it still stand?"

Cindy, who always wondered what Nathan would be like in bed, could only nod.

"Im going to fuck you senceless..." Nathan whispered as he grabbed Cindy on her arm and lead her towards his and Ritchie's bedroom. Ritchie...FUCK THAT!!! he thought as he slammed the door behind him, with Cindy already halfway undressed. Nathan ripped off his t-shirt, with Cindy's pussy watering looking at his stomach muscles and ripped chest. Ritchie's words flashed through his mind like he was possessed by him. Richie was in love with him...But right here, right now Cindy was coming closer and closer to him. She was there, she was real, she was now naked, with her nipples hard and perky pointing up towards him. She gently slid her soft hands around his hips, and grabbed the waistband of his trousers...

"Fuck off...FUCK THE HELL OFF!!" he suddenly screamed, pushing Cindy away.

"What? Excuse me?" she yelled, stumbling to keep her balance.

"PISS OFF!!"

Cindy quickly grabbed her stuff and she was out the room like a flash. Nathan grabbed the TV remote and threw it angrily at the wall, where it splattered into little pieces. He didn't wanna admit it...he didn't want to!!

"Ritchie...Ritchie...Oh fuck Ritchie, I feel the same way..." he cried before the door was swiftly and quietly opened again, and suddenly he was taken from behind in a strong, manly grip. His nose was then covered by a cloth containing a strong smell, and before he could even think of fighting back, darkness overwhelmed him, with Ritchie being the last thing on his mind.
