Bonds of Happiness - Chapter 15 by Sam

The beginning of October David was having so much fun at school. I'm glad he likes it because if you love to learn it, then when you are doing it for real you will also be happy. I got Aaron's first report card. I didn't understand it. When I went to school we had a letter grading system. ABCF. I understood that. But his had numbers. So I had to go online to figure it out. Apparently they use 1-5 to grade them. Anyway, after I figured out what he made I signed it and gave it to him to give back to his teacher.

On Tuesday Stan called and said the trial was going to start for Aaron's mom and I had to testify. I wondered why since my involvement happened in a courtroom. But he said I still had to do it. At dinner I told David and he said he would take off school that day and go with me.

The next Tuesday after we get Aaron on the bus to school I put on a suit and so does David. We then head up to the courthouse. We meet up with Stan and he has us wait in a little room until we are called. About an hour later we are called in. They have me go to the witness stand and have me raise my right hand. The bailiff gives me the oath and I say I do then he looks at David. David says he does then the bailiff goes back to stand by the wall. The defense attorney stands up.

"Your Honor we request this witness wear a truth collar."

Stan shoots up. "Your Honor I object."

The prosecutor jumps up as well. "Your Honor I also object. Putting a truth collar on a bonded is not recommended and I don't believe it is necessary in this case."

The judge looks over to the defense attorney. "I also do not like the idea of putting a truth collar on a bonded. Do you have a compelling reason to do so?"

"Your Honor, my client believes that what this bonded said he got from the link with Aaron Walker is not possible. So she would like him to wear a collar to prove it actually happened as he said it did."

"Is your client aware of the danger this would pose to the bonded?"

"I have explained it to her your Honor, but she still insists on the collar."

"Very well, but tread lightly. Any tricks and I will throw the book at all of you."

Stan spoke up. "Your Honor, if he is going to wear a collar I request a doctor be present with a bond break kit."

"I agree. Bailiff call a doctor. We will wait until the doctor arrives."

I sat and waited. This was super bad. I thought I was only coming to answer questions but now I was going to wear a truth collar. I was not happy about this at all. Let me try to explain the problem.

Truth collars were invented in the 80s by sadistic assholes. They designed them to put on children to stop them from lying. When the child told a lie it would deliver an electric shock. Like I said, they were fucking crazy assholes. But it was the 80s and giving kids electric shocks didn't seem to bother anyone.

Anyway, the justice department caught on to them and thought they were a great idea. They wanted to use them to put on people the cops were interrogating so they would know if they were being lied to. So they had the makers make bigger models to fit on adults. Eventually they started being used by the courts to make sure testimony was true.

So everything was going well. If you told the truth, nothing happened. If you lie, you get an electric shock and everyone knows you lied. But then the problems started. When they put the collars on unbonded adults or bonders it wasn't a big deal. But when they put them on bondeds it started causing involuntary bond breaks.

I guess to explain why I have to tell you how bond breaks happen. So, when a bonded wants to break their bond they have two options. The fun way which is to find three guys to have sex with you in 24 hours and cum iniside you. This works if you can find three guys willing to risk a bond with you. Because if you are lying and are not bonded then them doing this will cause one. Plus if you are the third guy the ending is very unpleasant.

The not fun way, but easier to achieve than convincing three guys to have unprotected sex with you, is to simply say in your head "I want to break the bond" over and over for half an hour without stopping. It takes concentration, but if you are willing to go through a break then you can handle it.

Both of these methods do that same thing. They cause your brain to release a chemical that initiates a bond break. Once the chemical is released that is it and nothing will stop the break from happening.

The thing with the truth collars, is that having an electric shock that close to your head also can cause the release of that chemical. When they first started causing breaks nobody understood why. But after so many bondeds went through unwanted breaks because of them, they outlawed putting truth collars on bondeds except in court. Even there they said it wasn't recommended unless you suspected the bonded was lying.

So that is why I'm not happy. They are going to put a collar on me that might cause me to go into a bond break. I don't want this to happen. I'm happy with my bond with David. But this bitch won't let up so they are going to do it anyway.

When the doctor arrived they told him what was happening. He also objected to doing that. He then came over to me.

"Ok, what's your name?"

"Sam."

"Ok Sam. Give me your left arm. I'm going to put in an IV."

The doctor rubbed my arm with an alcohol pad then inserted a needle with a plastic sleeve on it into my vein. He then pulled the needle out but left the sleeve in. He then attached something to the sleeve and taped it down.

"Ok Sam. If you start to go into a break try to give me this arm. If I can get to it I will push this syringe into it. In it is the maximum dose of morphine that I can give you."

"Will that help?"

"Not much, but it is better than going through it without it. Just so you know I am totally against this but I will try and make it less painful if I can."

"Thanks doc."

The doctor told the judge he needed to stay close to me just in case. The judge agreed. He then turned to me.

"Bonded. This goes against my better judgement but if the defendant is requiring it then I have to do it. All I ask is that you don't lie. If I have to go back to my bonded and tell her I put a truth collar on a bonded and it caused a break she would kill me."

"I have no intention of lying Your Honor."

"Good. Bailiff, please attach the collar."

The bailiff came over with the collar. He put it around my neck and then latched it.

"I want you to know if this causes you to go through a break I am going to punch that woman in the face."

"Thank you."

"Oh, it's not for you. If I tell my bonded that a bonded went through a break because of a truth collar and I didn't punch the one responsible in the face then she would punch me in the face."

When the collar was on he went back to stand by the wall. The prosecutor then stood up.

"What is your name?"

"Sam Walker."

"Are you a bonded?"

"Yes."

"Who is your bonder?"

"David Walker."

"Is his son Aaron Walker?"

"Yes."

"Do you have a bonded link to Aaron Walker?"

"Yes."

This went on and he asked the same questions he did during the deposition. I gave the same answers. When he was done the defense attorney stood up.

"So, you are telling us that a bonded can read the mind of the child of their bonder?"

"I don't know about reading the mind or about other bondeds, I just know what happened with Aaron."

"And we should believe you?"

"I'm wearing a truth collar. You would know if I was lying."

"Ok, no further questions Your Honor."

"Bailiff remove the collar."

"NO!" Aarons mom stood up and started running at me. I thought maybe she was going to hit me so I put my hands up to protect me. When she got to me she grabbed the collar and shouted. "1+1 is 5"

The collar started shocking me. The bailiff ran over and punched Aaron's mom in the face. It caused her to fall back onto the ground. The doctor grabbed my arm and pushed the needle into the IV on my arm and pushed the plunger all the way in. The bailiff was trying to get the collar off of me and managed to do it as the shocking stopped. I saw David running over to me as the break started.

I started to scream as I collapsed on the ground. My body felt like I was being burned alive as flames burned every inch of my skin. The pain was intense and I couldn't move or do anything but scream as I went through the break. It felt like it lasted for hours, but from actually watching one I know they only last for 5 minutes. But it was 5 minutes of the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my life.

When it was over David was holding me. But I couldn't feel him. I felt his arms and chest against me, but there was no happiness. There were no emotions coming from him. We were no longer connected. Our bond was gone. I started to cry and buried my face in his chest.

The judge spoke. "Bailiff put her in cuffs. Ms. Foster, I find you guilty of causing an unwanted involuntary bond break and sentence you to life in prison. I also find you guilty of the attempted murder of Aaron Walker and sentence you to life in prison without the possiblity of parrol." The judge then turned to us. "Son, I am sorry this happened. Your marriage is still in force. Take your wife home."

David picked me up and carried me out. Stan opened the doors for him. He put me in the car and drove us home. When we got home I went and got in bed. David got in behind me and just held me as I cried.

When it was time to pick up Aaron, David left to get him. After Aaron had been fed he came into the bedroom.

"Sam. What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry Aaron, but me and David's bond was broken."

"Oh, can't you just bond again?"

"No kiddo. Once a bond is broken it can never be reestablished."

"I'm sorry Sam. You can bond with me if you want."

"Thanks kiddo, but you are too young. I'll be ok, we are still married. We just won't have the bond anymore."

"Ok Sam."

Aaron got in bed with me and I held him. When it was time to make dinner I got up and went to the kitchen to make it. When it was ready we sat down to eat.

"Baby, do you want me to return your stuff to you?"

"No David. I still want you to have it even though we are no longer bonded."

"Ok baby. I will find a way for us to bond again."

"It's not possible David. But we are still married and you are my husband."

After dinner we sat and watched TV then Aaron got a bath and I put him to bed. I then went to bed with David.

"Baby, do you feel up to making love?"

"Yes David. I always want you to make love to me."

David got on top of me and started kissing me. I then felt him enter me. He started thrusting in and out of me gently. It felt good, but not as good as it did when we were bonded. When he pushed me over the edge I came on us and David pushed all the way into me as he pumped his load inside me. When we came down he pulled out of me and I cleaned us up. I cuddled up to him and went to sleep.

Some time during the night, Aaron woke me up.

"Sam, I had a bad dream."

"I'm sorry kiddo. Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, but you didn't come this time."

"I'm sorry, but without the bond I can't feel when you are having them now."

"Oh. Can I sleep with you?"

"Yeah, come on."

He cuddled up to David and I spooned up behind him and went back to sleep.

To be continued...
