The only thing I have remotely in common with these boys is that Ashley Parker Angel and I were born on the exact same day-August 1, 1981.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: I want to thank all of my readers who have been very patient with me since I've been back at school. When I was home I updated 5 times a week and I've only updated once since I've left so thank you all very much. The engagement was a big hit last time, which tells me that my wonderful readers are also very understanding, which makes me love you all even more.

Don't expect a wedding too soon though just because they are engaged. I still want them to make sure they love each other if you know what I mean. I've worked this far up to just getting them to fall in love so now it's time to really put it to the test. I've done enough rambling. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.

Nick and Ashley-Chapter Twenty-Eight

Nick sat at a chair in the recording studio with recording headphones around his ears and a pencil and piece of paper in front of him. He was sampling through some pre-recorded sounds that he had been playing with before they went on tour. He and Ashley had been working on a song that they could write together and call their own. He looked down at his promise ring on his left hand and smiled at the fact that it was an engagement ring now. He was going to be married to the one person who had shown him what love truly was. He wanted this song to be perfect, just like their love. To Nick, there was absolutely nothing that wasn't beautiful about their love. He wanted their song to reflect that to everyone.

Some would say that their love was too young after only 5 or 6 months. He didn't care. Some would say that they are just kids and don't understand what true love is. That was bullshit to Nick. He didn't care about whatever anyone else thought about this. He knew that he loved Ashley and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with him. Ashley had accepted this and they were to be wed in September. Just this thought alone brought a huge smile to Nick's face. He drew himself away from this though as he wanted to finish up the song.

The way they decided to do it was that they would pick out a sound they liked, figure out a chorus together and each write a verse for it. Nick had found a beautiful sound right before he left for tour. He thought it was a little too fast when he heard it through his headphones so he reached over and pulled his acoustic guitar onto his lap. He hit the pause button on the pre-recorded sound and pulled his headphones around his neck. He began to strum the chords as best he could remember slowing it down ever so slightly. He began to hum along with the sound, deciding that he really liked it. As he did this he bobbed his head back and forth seeing that he could really get into it. He jumped as he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey baby." Ashley said as he leaned in and kissed his boyfriend.

"You scared me." Nick said with a smile on his face.

"Sorry you were so into what you were doing, I didn't want to disturb you." Ashley said.

"It was for our song. Did you like it?" Nick asked

"It sounded beautiful. Let's come up with a chorus for it." Ashley said as they both sat down and began to put their heads and their hearts together to try and find the words that represented their love.

Another couple watched them from the director's window. Brian was seated on the chair as his wife Leigh Ann sat in his lap. Brian had one arm around her and another on her stomach. Leigh Ann was just starting her second trimester and Brian knew that he needed to take care of his wife seeing as their due date was just before they started touring again. He made sure that management didn't schedule anything until the baby was born and he felt that he gave the child enough time. He was going to be there for the birth of his child. He just couldn't believe that he was going to be a father.

"They're cute together don't you think?" Leigh Ann said to her husband as they both watched the young couple write some words down excitedly and then kiss to seal an unspoken pact.

"It took me a while to warm up to them but I think I'm finally coming around." Brian said with a smile on his face. "When they first started I thought they would never last." He added.

"People said that about us too babe." Leigh Ann said.

"I know, I know." Brian said as he had flashbacks of him and his cousin talking about how they would never last due to schedules and everything. "I don't know if I'll be able to hand over Nick though."

"I had a feeling that's what this was about." Leigh Ann started.

"He's like my little brother." Brian said.

"He's in good hands Brian." Leigh Ann said.

"I just wanna make sure that he's ok." Brian said with a sigh.

"I think it's time you stopped being his brother and started being his best friend. He needs your support babe. You mean so much to him." Leigh Ann stated smartly.

"You're right baby, you're right." Brian said as he began to rub his wife's stomach. All of the sudden he felt a kick. A smile came to his face as he looked up at his wife.

"Have you thought about any names yet?" Brian asked

"Not really, we don't even know if it's gonna be a girl or boy yet" Leigh Ann said

"The doctor said that it was too early to tell but he thought he definitely saw evidence of a boy." Brian said with a smile

"You want a boy huh?" Leigh Ann asked

"Of course, another one for me to watch out for." Brian said with a laugh. "How about Cody if it is a boy? Cody Thomas Littrell" Brian said, proud of his name he put together.

"I like it." Leigh Ann said as the two leaned in and kissed to show an undying love that they knew would last through time.

Trevor stood in the studio with headphones around his ears in front of a hanging microphone. Each member of O-town was doing individual recordings today and they were going to put it all together tomorrow. Trevor held the headphones to his ears with one hand and had a sheet of music in the other.

It was a new song that the guys had just put together called "Be Mine Tonight".

"Girl, please don't play me like that I need you in my arms right now Where are you when I'm down? Be Mine Tonight"

Trevor stopped his part of the song, seeing that Jacob took over after that. He was expecting just music to come through the phones but instead he heard another voice. It was a deep voice, deeper than even Dan's, which was the deepest that O-town had to offer. He glanced over to one of the other studio booths and saw his boyfriend Lance with headphones on singing into the hanging microphone. He smiled at him telling him he would explain later.

Trevor saw that his cue was coming up so he joined in and harmonized with Lance's voice, causing a very nice contrast between the pitches. Both men gave their all to the song and were soon finished. Trevor stepped out of the booth and saw Lance shaking Clive Davis' hand.

"Thank you again Mr. Bass" Clive said to him as he walked away from the studio saying "Good job" to Trevor.

"Hey Trev." Lance said with a smile on his face. He leaned in and kissed him since they were alone as management went to go get Jacob to work on his part.

"What was all that about?" Trevor asked confused.

"They told you that there would be another outside voice on the track right?" Lance asked.

"Yeah, but it's you?" Trevor asked

"Yup yup. Clive heard about you and me and asked me to be the outside voice. He's really accepting about you guys and your relationships. It took Johnny years to let us work out our own deals with boyfriends and girlfriends." Lance said

"Yeah Clive is the man. That's awesome though. C'mon let's go get dinner." Trevor said taking Lance's hand.

Lance pulled back on the hand bringing Trevor back close to him, their faces inches from each other. "I was thinking we could go somewhere a little more private." Lance said as he began to kiss Trevor passionately then stopped realizing that they could be seen at any moment. Both men walked down towards the parts of the studio that weren't used that often and found an office that was dark due to the fact that mostly everyone went home already for the end of the day. They walked in the room and locked it.

Almost immediately after locking the door Lance pushed Trevor down on the desk, thanking a higher power that there wasn't that much there so they didn't have to clean up that much. He began to kiss Trevor's neck passionately while lifting his t-shirt up and soon over his head. He kissed Trevor's smooth chest wildly and began to work on his dark nipples. Trevor grabbed the back of Lance's head to encourage him to work harder then lifted his shirt off and the two began to kiss fervently. The two began to buck their hips against each other, causing Trevor to moan.

He wondered what the real thing would actually feel like. He and Lance had been together for a few months now and he felt that it was time to push the relationship to the next level. Lance had been very understanding the whole time and didn't want to pressure Trevor into a new experience that he would regret later. Trevor knew he wanted to try it and he knew that Lance would take care of him.

"Lance, I want you to make love to me." Trevor whispered in his ear.

"Mmm, are you sure?" Lance moaned out the question.

"Please, let me feel you inside of me baby." Trevor said as he began to undo Lance's pants and pull them down while Lance did the same to Trevor's.

Lance knew he had to be gentle because he was in an office and had no lube so he started with a finger. He slowly inched his middle finger into Trevor's ass, which caused deep breaths from his lover. The pain cause him to suck air through his teeth but he knew he just had to bear with it as Lance inserted another finger and he began to feel his ass go from clenching down to relaxing and letting the invader open him up.

Lance took out the fingers and put his hand around the base of his 6-1/2 inch cut cock, which was protected by a patch of dark blonde pubic hair. He pushed it at the tip of Trevor's rosebud knowing that he had to be tender with his inexperienced lover. With every inch he looked at Trevor making sure that he was ok. The facial expressions were a bit mixed but it looked like he was starting to enjoy it so he pushed further and eventually pushed himself all the way to the hilt.

He let Trevor adjust himself to the size of Lance's thick cock. Once Trevor gave him the ok Lance began to pull out and push back in. The speed picked up a bit and Lance leaned down on top of Trevor kissing him gently while making love to him.

Trevor was enjoying every bit of this. He scolded himself quietly for not letting himself open up to this side of life before because it was feeling extremely good to be gay right now. He moaned out as he dug his nails into Lance's back and shoulder. Lance seemed to go faster and faster the harder he gripped. Trevor's ass clamped down hard as he jerked himself off harder and harder. The tightness of his Trevor's first time and him clamping down the more he jerked off gave Lance an excellent feeling, which he could not deny anymore. He pushed as hard as he could into Trevor hitting the prostate with a final thrust and unloaded his seed into Trevor's waiting asshole. When Lance hit the prostate this was more than enough to push Trevor over the edge and he came onto his chest with a loud moan.

Lance collapsed on top of his boyfriend and both men breathed heavily while staring into each other's eyes. They kissed gently and just laid there holding each other. Nothing else in the world was applicable at that moment because to them it was just Trevor and Lance and nothing else mattered.

Ashley was finally finished with his verse. He was extremely excited as he was running down the hallway to go and bring it to Nick so that they could get the song done. It was late and he wanted to get home but the song meant too much to him to stop now. He didn't know when he and Nick would get time to work on it again. He was running so fast that he didn't see Brian come around the corner. Both men collided and hit the floor.

"Oh shit, I'm sorry Brian." Ashley said as he stood up rubbing his head.

"Nah it was my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going." Brian said.

"I wasn't paying attention either. I was running to give something to Nick." Ashley said.

"Oh yeah?" Brian asked

"Yeah, we're writing a song together and we're almost done so I got excited and started running." Ashley said

"Can I hear it?" Brian asked

"Sure." Ashley said as both men headed down towards the studio where Nick was sitting watching TV.

"Hey baby look who I ran into," Ashley said

"Yeah literally ran into me." Brian said with a laugh as he rubbed his arm.

"What's up Bri. Were you causing trouble again young man?" Nick asked Ashley like a parent would to a little boy.

"I sorry." Ashley said as he put his hand behind his back and started to swing on two feet looking up at Nick with puppy dog eyes.

Nick couldn't help but laugh as Ashley sat in his lap.

"I finished my part." Ashley said proudly handing it to Nick.

"Awesome let's put it together." Nick said as both men got up. Nick grabbed his guitar and sat down at the studio chair. Ashley sat at the piano, waiting for the sign from Nick.

Nick pointed at him and Ashley began to play the tune that he and Nick decided on with a beautiful piano intro. Ashley repeated the opening part but this time with Nick coming in with a guitar. Nick began to sign the first verse.

"There were times in my life That I didn't understand What love truly meant

I didn't know the feeling Someone could provide me That only you could give

Now I understand What this feeling is And I know what it is I need."

The pace began to pick up as Nick sang the chorus by himself.

"All I need is you You're the one that brings me back to life You fill my soul You give me the strength to go on You supply me with love You show that you'll always be there And now I know that All I need is you"

As soon as the chorus was over Ashley picked up his piano's pace and with a brief solo, let his fingers take over and provide the beautiful sound that only a piano could give. He began to sing his verse.

"I've never been here before This love is all so new It's a feeling that surrounds me

It's something that follows me It guides my way You show me the means to survive

My life is complete I am safe in your arms Because I know now that...

All I need is you You're the one that brings me back to life You fill my soul You give me the strength to go on You supply me with love You show that you'll always be there And now I know that All I need is you"

Both men played the breakdown with all of their heart, harmonizing their voices as best they could. Nick's higher voice paved an excellent road for Ashley's lower sound. The song slowed down for a few seconds, sounding as if it was going to end. Ashley looked over at Nick and winked. It was a silent signal and both men knew what they had to do.

Both of them began to play the chorus again, which was an excellent surprise and a great way to follow the breakdown. They both sang the choruses together. They were not only in harmony in their voices but in their lives also. This would prove to be their song, another sign of an unending love that couldn't be stopped.

"All I need is you You're the one that brings me back to life You fill my soul You give me the strength to go on You supply me with love You show that you'll always be there And now I know that All I need is you"

The song came to a close and both men stopped and closed their eyes letting the sound run through them, understand it's true beauty. They heard the click of a button and some clapping. Brian stood there with Clive and both were showing their appreciation for the wonderful ballad they had just heard.

"That was amazing guys. I think we just found a song for our next album." Clive said as he pulled out the tape that Brian had snuck in to record it in case it was good. "I'll run it by management and if they like it then we'll run it by the other guys and you guys can say that you wrote and produced a song on O-town's next album.

"Do you think it was really that good?" Nick asked them

"It was beautiful Frack." Brian said.

He looked over at Ashley who gave him a shrug.

"Ok, let's do it." Nick said.

"Excellent, I'll take it home and run it by the other managers tonight. Great work guys." Clive said as he hugged each of them and walked down the hallway.

"Guys, that was amazing. You put that all together today?" Brian asked

"Pretty much, yeah." Ashley said

"Amazing, you two are simply amazing. I have to honestly tell you guys that I wasn't sure about you two from the beginning but you've proven me completely wrong. I don't think any two people in the world deserve each other more than you guys. You amaze me more and more every day." Brian said.

"Thanks Brian, we've got a great couple to follow with you and Leigh Ann." Nick said.

"Thanks Nicky, that's another thing I wanted to talk to you guys about. Leigh Ann is about 5 months pregnant now and we've been thinking about stuff. We want you two to be the godparents of our first child." Brian said.

"Holy shit Brian, what an honor." Ashley said.

"Brian, we would be proud to be there for you." Nick said.

"Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you." Brian said.

"We've got some news for you too Bri." Nick said as he looked over at Ashley who gave him a nod.

"Oh yeah? What is it?" Brian asked

"Me and Ash are engaged...and I want you to be my best man." Nick said.

Brian didn't know what to say. He was shocked and excited at the same time. He stood there taking it all in for a minute and decided that words couldn't explain his thought so he simply walked over and hugged Nick. Ashley joined in and the three friends embraced each other, knowing that this pillar of support would never fall.
