"Oscar Parker's Texas Adventure"

Chapter 16

The birthday bash, ended rather quickly once folks, finished eating and dancing. Nothing was more pleasing for Lillian Parker, she was tired, and enough is enough.

"So gram, what did you think of your celebration?" asked Jenny who planned the event.

"Well darling, I'll tell yuh. I can appreciate the work you and Oscar went through, and the new feller, Ryan, but if I reach eight-five, let's not do it again."

"I know you don't like all the fuss, but blame Oscar, he insisted, and did you ever try debating with Oscar?" Jenny replied laughing and hugging her grandmother.

"I know, he is the sweetest pain in the rump, you ever saw. I don't know how he became so insistent. I thought I was the old fool around here who insisted on doing things my way," Lil replied also laughing. "I do like the young man, Ryan. He is polite, cooks well and a whiz with that feather duster; not much of a cowboy however."

"I know, but Oscar like him."

"That's what I'm afraid of. I can't have that "touching" business going on, unless it is with Nevada, but I won't say anything, until I have to say something." Lil commented.

"You like Nevada, don't you?"

"Oh lordly yes, I think the world of that young man. Things will work out for the best, I'm certain," concluded Grandmother Lillian, lowering herself in her favorite chair.

Lil and Jenny sat talking and rocking while Ryan ran around picking up – cleaning up – and getting the house back to normal.

Jen approved of Ryan also. He was a good worker, kinda sweet, although not a Texan, and certainly no cowboy. Maybe being like the boys in the bunkhouse didn't matter, but to Lillian Parker, it surely did. She always had to get the last say. "I'm eighty four," Grandmother Parker would remind people. Old age was her license to be in charge.

The men were cleaning the barbecue pit, then returning to the bunkhouse. Nevada watched as Oscar disappeared back into the house.

"Don't be concerned with yesterday," thought Nevada, right now is what counts. Nevertheless, he was concerned, over a combination of things, since working on the Parker ranch. Without saying a word to anyone, he returned to the bunkhouse by himself.

Back in the bunkhouse where Nevada felt at home, he sat comfortably on his bunk, leafing through a magazine.

Wayne stripped to his underwear and stretched out for a nap. Napping in underwear on his bunk was nothing new for him, nobody even noticed.

Wayne was different from everybody else. He was a man who cared only about getting off. Even that, he kept to himself. He wasn't wild in bed like Brad or Oscar. He had a good cock, balls with heavy syrup, if you wanted it. He would stand there, and let you suck for lunch. He was not available for everybody; he really needed to trust you.

Adam was becoming friendlier and friendlier. When Nevada and Brad were together, he managed to join in being part of their conversation, with nothing gay, just sharing cowboy talk.

Sergio behaved much the same way, although he valued gay sex, and peddled his body on the streets in Venezuela, at one time.

Wally spent much of his days in the kitchen. He brought some beef back from the barbecue, so the boys knew what tomorrow's; dinner was going to be.

Eddie wasn't there. After the party, he went to the barn to do chores. He was a true farmer and found solace by himself in the barn with the animals. Sergio said, "Eddie talks to the animals."

Brad gave Sergio a slap on his butt, saying all cowboys talk to their horse, so what' wrong with that?"

Sergio wiggled his butt towards Brad. "Oh, and I thought you didn't care. Can you slap that again?" then laughed.

"Stop!" barked Brad, "you're acting like you sit down to pee."

"I do, I hate getting my knees wet, besides sitting is' comfortable."

"Short on one end – huh?" Brad smirked, winking at Nevada. They teased Sergio, like bullies after gym class.

It was not like Brad to joke around, being gay, however, since Nevada came, he slowly changed, acting a little "campy" when nobody was around.

Nevada knew what others never realized when it came to the real Brad. He was straight, but in name only. At least the way Nevada knew him. Brad could be with another man. However, all he talked about was women and pussy. If there was ever a reason for Nevada to dislike him, it would be his "on again – off again" personality.

"Why don't you put down that magazine," said Brad. "You are not reading, but you are thinking about something, I'm sure of that."

"Are you talking to me?" sighed Nevada lowering the magazine.

Brad was correct; Nevada was just holding the magazine and reading nothing. He was leafing and looking at pictures for peace and quiet after a day of dancing and party hoopla.

"Did you talk to Oscar about staying on after next week?" asked Nevada.

"Well, I'll tell yuh. I did talk to him, but I am not staying after next week. I had a job offer at the `Lazy K' ranch. I spent the day talking, dancing and having dinner with Gracie Hoffman, her father, Hank Hoffman, who owns the Lazy K, is hiring, so, I'll give it a try."

"You mean you will try for Gracie's pussy, pouring on the charm and shaving lotion," said Nevada. Women love that shit, but not wranglers. We like natural smells."

"I know what I'm doing," barked Brad, then sitting down next to Nevada on the bunk.

The conversation concerning leaving, ended when Brad asked, "What do you think of Ryan?"

"He's 'all right. Oscar and Jen seem to like him, more than gram, but she will come around. The fancy-pants culinary student, can bake, I'll give him that. He made the desserts today and they were mighty good, the way folks woofed them down, and took some home.

Brad whispered to Nevada – "Let's go outside and talk. I know Wayne is not sleeping and listening to what we say."

Brad stood up and walked away. A few seconds later, he went to the bunkhouse porch, and Nevada followed.

"Ahh, it's quiet out here," Brad mumbled sitting down of a bench next to Nevada.

"How about that, "Alone at last."

"That will work," stammered Nevada confused as to why they had to talk in private.

"What do you think of Oscar's houseboy Ryan? I have some thoughts, but wondered if we were on the same page."

"He's okay, I don't see him as any sexual challenge," replied Nevada. "Everybody has a story, he continued. "Wouldn't you like to be a mind reader just for a week? The ranch isn't the naked city, but there are stories to be told around here, that's, for sure."

"You don't have to be a mind reader when it comes to Oscar. You know better than anybody how he loves to fuck, and Ryan is tender meat – I'm just saying!" Brad mumbled.

"Yeah, I know, however. Oscar will do what he wants to do, but I doubt, he will fall in love. To him Ryan is a place to put his dick."

"How do you know that? Are you trying to tell me something?" quizzed Brad becoming seriously interested.

"No."

"Nah, you are too sure of yourself – come on – talk!"

"I am sure of some things however, it still is a guess. Dang, for a cowboy, you sure like to gossip. You should stick to what you do best – FUCK – that's something you do best," continued Nevada.

"Is that an invitation? I have another week before I head over to the "Lazy K" "I sure could use my pecker squeezed in the meantime."

"There is no time for that, the day is almost over."

"I didn't mean right now, but it wouldn't take long for those working lips to suck out a load. That wouldn't take any time at all."

"Nope, I am going inside," replied Nevada, leaving Brad sitting by himself on the porch.

Ryan mysteriously approached `sight unseen,' from the corner of the bunkhouse.

Hey, Brad, want some company?" He asked stepping onto the porch.

"Where the fuck, did you come from?"

"I stopped to ask if I could watch the horses trained tomorrow. I would like to see how that is done," replied Ryan. He set down next to Brad, uninvited. "Do you mind," he asked?

"Nope – sit, although I am going in shortly, he replied, not feeling at ease around Ryan.

"That's okay! This is not an airport; you don't have to announce your departure. I want to ask you something."

"You just did."

"Nah, it's something else, I need to ask you." confessed Ryan.

"Well it better be good."
