The Human Bearer

He was floating in a lake, all pain gone from his bones, while his mind wandered without restraint. Riordan could tell it was a dream, but it was a pleasant dream after all that had happened over the last few days. Everyone needed a break, and he was entitled to one. Still, there was something annoying him at the edge of his consciousness, something persistent and unwilling to back down, like a...

What? An alarm system? Riordan forced his eyes wide open, his entire body tensing, but he was quickly enveloped into a tight embrace and his lips were taken, as he was being kissed within an inch of losing his breath.

Xana!

The carefree laughter that followed made his heart easy.

"How are you, Riordan?" Xana asked while holding him close and caressing his hair.

"A lot better, now that you're here. You are real, right? I'm not dreaming or anything?"

Xana pushed his lower body between his legs. "I am very much real. And in need of my lovely bearer."

"Now you're making me blush," Riordan joked. "You can tell that you want some ass, you know?"

"I want all of you," Xana assured him and kissed him again.

Riordan felt his chest rising and falling in a satisfied sigh. Xana's seth was familiar in fragrance and soothing him, and he forgot all about being mad that his master had taken so long to get there. All was forgiven and forgotten, and his body, while quick to adjust, felt the pressure of that thick member penetrating him inch by agonizing inch. He wanted so badly to get fucked, and Xana was finally there.

He was so full now he felt like choking. Xana seemed to be in a pervy mood even, and slowly began to add the tip of his tail to the same place his cock was, stretching Riordan relentlessly.

"Fuck, you're going to make me go into labor, you sexy freak," he whispered.

"That will not happen," Xana assured him. "I am very well aware of how such things work."

"I'm sure," Riordan said wryly, focusing on controlling his gasps of pleasure as the cock and tail in his ass began to move to and fro. That was an impossible thing to do as his climax approached fast and he began shooting, his cum coating Xana's belly, too.

"Hmm," Xana purred in his ear, "it looks to me like you soiled yourself."

"Oh, you're such a joker," Riordan breathed out. He shuddered as his pleasure ebbed away, yet still sustained by the relentless hammering of his ass. "And I see you like going all in, double penetration and all."

"Don't tell me you hate it now," Xana teased him. "I know how well you open for me all the time. And since you've been deprived of my touch for so long--"

"Full of yourself much?" Riordan said quickly and grabbed Xana by the shoulders as he began getting hard again. The fucker knew very well where and how to push so that it got him all worked up. The pleasure was high enough to prevent him from feeling guilty over experiencing pleasure while being used by Lewis' baby daddies. Did Xana know? Maybe not. Maybe Kanto had kept his mouth shut for a change.

"I need you, Riordan," Xana said to him and pulled him so close, in a vise-like grip that he thought he'd give his last breath soon.

But it didn't matter. It appeared to serve Xana to reach his climax, too, and Riordan felt his ass getting flooded by seth and cum at the same time. It created a tsunami of pleasure in his blood and, when Xana released him from his tight hold, he writhed on the bed while another orgasm hit him. His dick was spraying so much cum around, it was fucking uncanny. Xana caught him by the shoulders and pinned him to the bed, offering his tongue to calm him down as he shuddered through the last of it all.

"Welcome home, Xana," he said weakly and put his arms around his owner.

"It's good to be back to you," Xana replied and kissed him deeply.

When he woke up the second time, he learned from Kyle that Xana was in a meeting with Kanto and that he let instructions for him to see about his day as usual, as there was no possible way to know how long it would take. Riordan put his feet down and trembled slightly as the little pang of pleasured pain inside his ass reminded him of the vigorous activity he had engaged in with his master only earlier. What a strange thing for him to think, that Xana was indeed his master! But he couldn't be bothered with semantics at this point, and he didn't want to think about it too much anyway.

Now, if Xana was with Kanto, the chances were that all his missteps were out in the open, and that soon enough, he'd learn how his owner would react to it. Of course, that fucker Kanto would fill Xana's head with his own ideas, but that didn't mean that he, Riordan, would take it all lying down. He'd tell Xana the truth as soon as he was back, and yeah, that included him being used as a special milker for those six young Xenos. A part of him believed that Xana might get a little jealous, but they'd cross that bridge once they reached it.

In the meantime, the ship was still in a slight state of disarray, since it was impossible to have things just the way they had been before with so many guards eliminated by the bad guys. Also, Riordan remembered and his mood sunk even further, only a handful of bearers were still alive, and they were pretty shaken. The only thing that helped somehow was that the bots without bearers to look after had been sent to fill in the posts left empty by the dead guards.

"Kyle, let's go around the ship and see if there's anything we can help with. By the way, do you know how many Xenos came with Xana?"

"The entire upper echelon on Master Xana's side," Kyle explained.

"They can't be very numerous," Riordan murmured. "So, does that mean that they lost... most of theirs, too? Wait, are there other ships?"

"I don't have clearance to know this kind of information," Kyle replied. "But I overheard--"

"You eavesdropped, more like," Riordan said with a small smile. "That's my homie. Go on."

"There must be at least one other ship, carrying bearers who already have Xenolites in their care, along with their masters," Kyle explained.

"Do you think Tasha could be on that ship?" Riordan wasn't really expecting an answer. With so much death around him, his sadness only deepened whenever he remembered Tasha. Was he still alive? Riordan hoped so. And he also hoped that, one day, he'd get to see that beautiful crazy redhead again.

"Master Xer cares deeply for his bearer," Kyle said. "He must have taken himself and Master Tasha to safety."

Riordan suddenly realized something. "Wait, is Marn with those that came with Xana? He must be, right? I should ask him. Maybe he knows something."

"Yes, His Royal Chancellor is here now. Would you like to request an audience?"

"Hmm, something tells me that I might have to wait forever for that to happen. I think I'm just going to drop by. Do you know where he is right now?"

"He is inspecting the lower levels at the moment. He might even be near here."

"Wow, do you have some tracking device up His Royal Chancellor's butt, Kyle?"

Kyle laughed, an obvious sign that he understood what jokes were more and more. "No, nothing of the kind, Master Rio. But he put on a special announcement just earlier while you were busy with welcoming back Master Xana."

"Kyle, you perv, did you spy on us while we were going at it?"

"No," Kyle replied, and Riordan could almost swear that the bot was pulling his leg. "I was busy myself, reading His Royal Chancellor's special announcement."

"I'll take. Then let's go. We'll happen in Marn's path and ask him a couple of things. He must know a few of them, since he's the big kahuna and all that."

"He might not want to answer," Kyle reminded him.

"Eh, I'll worry about that when he tells me `no'. I'll nag him until he says something."

"It sounds like a solid strategy," Kyle said brightly.

"Now you're totally pulling my leg," Riordan concluded. "Smartass."

Riordan tried his hardest to ignore the sinking feeling in his gut as he took in the remnants of the battle from before, scratched walls here and there, unsightly spots of a dark color on the floors, and so on. He needed to focus on the living and he very much hoped that Tasha was still among those.

From a fair distance, he could tell where Marn Savier was. He wasn't alone but accompanied by a suite of Xenos that appeared to be from the higher rungs of the echelon Kyle was talking about. At the moment, His Royal Chancellor was talking to a group of bearers. Curious about the content of that conversation could be, he made a sign to Kyle to keep quiet and he tiptoed closer. Although he doubted he could really sneak up on these aliens, he was pretty certain that they wouldn't even acknowledge his presence for the simple fact that he was an insignificant bearer and not someone of importance.

The group of bearers looked like a frightened bunch as they stuck together, some covering their bellies, others looking down and not daring to stare the big kahuna in the face. Riordan counted on his slighter taller height -- compared to most bearers -- to look over their heads as he found a comfortable place behind them.

"The traitors have all been eliminated," Marn explained. "You have no reason to be scared."

Oh, shoot. Did the big guy really care now how they felt?

"As the outcome of this attack resulted in diminishing the number of bearers greatly, you will have a noble mission ahead of you."

Riordan felt his ears perking up of their own accord and his skin prickling with apprehension.

Marn looked his way all of a sudden, making him duck instinctively. Then, he continued his speech. "You will be assigned to more than one master, depending on your physical capabilities."

What the fuck? Riordan didn't like where this was going. And those damned bearers were too scared to ask questions. Hell, he had wanted to catch Marn alone and ask him about Tasha, but it looked like that wasn't in the cards. And someone needed to ask some serious questions. "What does that mean?" he asked as he straightened up to his full height.

The ghost of a smile appeared quickly and faded just the same on that stern face. "Riordan. You weren't summoned here."

"What? I'm not allowed to be part of this conversation or something?" Riordan really hoped Marn wasn't into the same perversions as Kanto and order a little whipping for him talking out of turn.

"It is not a conversation," Marn said simply. "It is an announcement."

"Oh-okay," Riordan said slowly. "So this is the moment when I shut up? Too bad, I don't feel like it."

"Bearer, know your place," one of the Xenos hissed at him.

Marn turned his head only slightly, and the Xeno looked away. "Ask away, Riordan. What would you like to know?"

"This more than one master stuff, does it mean that we'll have to carry more than one egg?"

Marn nodded. "Among other things, yes."

There were murmurs rising in the group of bearers, but a stern look from His Royal Chancellor silenced them right away.

"At the same time?" Riordan asked calmly.

"If possible. You are all very precious to us, now more than ever."

Fuck. Riordan understood now. Lewis, the whole experiment, could that have been a calculation in case of something of the sort as what had just happened? It all fell into fucking place now. Lewis must have fallen in their lap like a godsend. If he hadn't been available, they would have tried their sick experiments on bearers.

"How is this going to work?" he asked, working his jaw and clenching his fists. "How many of you for one of us?"

"We'll see," Marn said affably. "Each case will be treated with the utmost consideration." He moved his eyes from Riordan and the Xenos appeared to listen to him. They were probably communicating in their secret fashion.

Too bad he was so mad. He couldn't focus enough to tap into their little conversation.

"We're done here. Return to your quarters. You will be kept up to date."

The bearers were immediately taken into custody by their bots, which left Riordan standing there alone with Kyle by his side. Marn dismissed his suite of Xenos with a flick of the wrist and then slithered his way closer to him.

His Royal Chancellor was indeed, impressive, from up close, even more so than Xana and even Kanto. It had to be that, with age, they grew larger. Riordan had to look up to make eye contact. Like humans, Xenos appeared to show gray hair later in life. Marn's hair had streaks of silver in it, and his stern face even showed a few wrinkles that only made his presence even more commanding. His strong torso and arms were covered in a dark blue tunic that reminded Riordan of military attire. "Follow me, Riordan. I can tell that you still have questions."

He didn't utter another thing as he tagged along. At least, no one had yelled or threatened him. So far. Who knew what Marn had in store for him?

His Royal Chancellor's quarters were worthy of their occupant. Everything was decorated in hues of gold and a deep crimson red. A water tank was present, probably to accommodate the Xeno's need for frolicking in the water. Riordan wondered if Xana wanted a thing like that, too. At their home on Xenos, he hadn't noticed having a pool of that size. It made him wonder about the purpose. Was it only for pleasure since Xenos liked water so damn much? The mere thought pulled another after it, and Riordan felt a chill moving down his spine as he remembered the flooded planet from which they had all barely escaped.

And not all those that had avoided that terrible fate were alive now.

Marn sat on the huge bed draped in red in the middle of the room and somehow managed to still look majestic, his tail coiled around him and his back straight. "I will listen, Riordan, but first, allow me to see you."

"Your eyes bad, old man?" Riordan asked and waved. "I'm right here. You can see me."

To his surprise, Marn laughed. That made his stern face look different than before, a little more... human-like, maybe? "Xana told me so many things about you. Now, you think you can annoy me with this attitude. No chance of that. I have seen plenty in my life. Now, strip."

Riordan had to put back his jaw. Was this the same guy who had held down Tasha so that Xer could put his Xenolite in him? Marn Savier was definitely more dangerous than other Xenos. Maybe because he was a politician. He had a sweet tongue on him, apparently. And he was so much different than Kanto, who seemed to care only about the ship and navigating it when he didn't get annoyed by silly bearers.

"Why would I show my naked ass to you?" he asked.

Marn smiled again. "That is now what I want to see. Your belly. Lift your robe and present it properly."

"Does Xana know you want to ogle me like this?"

"Xana knows very well how invested I am in the wellbeing of our species. And now, you're being wearisome, but it doesn't work with me. Strip and show me your beautiful belly, or I won't answer your questions."

Riordan shrugged. It wasn't like almost everyone on that ship hadn't seen him in the buff already. He pulled the robe he was wearing over his head and stuck out his belly. "See?" he asked.

"Yes. A very good development." Marn moved his tail lazily and touched Riordan's abdomen with it.

Riordan shivered, but not in cold. Marn's touch, even if it was only his tail, was comforting and arousing at the same time. Tasha had fancied himself a little bit in love with the guy. He had also said that he tended to be stern and unyielding. All the more this little display was disconcerting.

He yelped when Marn used his tail to touch his right nipple. "Hey, watch it. At least take me to dinner first."

Marn retrieved his tail. "You present an excellent evolution. I'm pleased. You can get dressed."

Riordan dropped his robe over his body to make a statement, but it didn't appear enough to impress the Xeno in front of him. "I wasn't here for this, but hell, whatever floats your boat, man," he said in an effort to save face.

"Of course. I should keep my part of the bargain. What do you want to know, Riordan?"

"Tasha. Where is he?"

Was it his imagination or did Marn flinch at the mentioning of that name? "I do not know of his whereabouts."

"Shit," Riordan said under his breath. "What about Xer?"

"As far as I can tell, they left Xeno together."

Together. And leaving the planet? Marn did know a few things, and Riordan was all the more curious now. "What was Xer thinking? Where did he plan to go?"

Marn put one hand up. "You're asking me to know what could have gone through that foolish young Xeno's head when I clearly told him otherwise."

"What did you tell him?"

"To escort his bearer to Tu'lek," Marn said promptly.

Riordan frowned. "You gave him the heads-up. You fucking did, because you cared about him, but not about the rest. You let the others--"

"Riordan."

His name had been spoken in an even tone, but Riordan staggered under the force of that unseen attack. It was as if his head had been caught in a vise-like grip. He groaned in pain and bent from the waist, but then images began to flash in front of his eyes, and voices were in his head, Marn demanding a bunch of Xenos to take their bearers to safety, denials, and refusals, and so many other things...

He was on his knees at the end of it, but he didn't quite hold it against the guy when he raised his eyes. "They sabotaged the rescue mission," he whispered. "They delayed your announcement... so many lives could have been saved. Are they all dead now? I hope they're dead." His eyes were in tears again, under the shock of all those revelations. After the attack, he hadn't quite managed to do so. His eyes had seemed to have dried up, as he had told Kanto at the time, but now he was crying his heart out.

He felt Marn's shadow falling over him and a hand on his head. "I was told a bit of touch counts as comfort for your species," His Royal Chancellor said slowly. "You cry for all those people although you didn't know most of them if any."

"Don't you dare ask me `why'," Riordan spat, willing to take his rage on someone. "Imagine losing thousands of Xenos and their Xenolites and maybe you'll get what I feel."

"I don't have to imagine," Marn replied in the same tone. "That already happened."

Riordan stared at the snakeman through his tears. "On the planet. They died... of yours, too?"

Marn nodded. "Yes. Tu'lek is now the only Xeno hope."

"Do you mean... this is all? All of you? But how... what did those guys think? Why suicide like that?"

"Something went wrong with their plan, too. But I won't explain the complex intricacies of the politics that brought us here."

"What about other ships? There couldn't have been only one," Riordan argued.

"Indeed. But we have no knowledge of what had happened with the rest. Tu'lek should have been the leader of a fleet. There is none, as we speak."

Riordan folded into himself for a moment. "That is why you want to pump us full of eggs, right?"

"A crude way of putting the situation into words, but yes."

"Fuck. You're going to pair me with some other guys of yours, too, aren't you?"

"We will see. Xana is rather fond of you. I wouldn't want to cause a peculiar household situation for you two."

"But it's not like you have a choice. Others are going to get pissed about it."

"Most of them are not as attached to their bearers as Xana is to you. I must take this into consideration."

"But the other bearers will hate my ass," Riordan argued further.

"According to your owner, that's not something you care about. Has anything changed?" Marn asked, with another hint of a smile on his lips.

Riordan shook his head. Everything Marn was saying made sense and he didn't want to end up carrying a bunch of eggs, but he couldn't shake off the thought that it wasn't fair towards the others. Since when was he so conflicted about stuff like that? He had no idea why he was bothering his head with this shit.

"Okay. I mean, you're clearly right. And Xana can be jealous. I think."

"You don't appear convinced of your owner's almost debilitating attachment to you."

"Debilitating, right," Riordan snorted and wiped his tears. "I hope this doesn't come to bite him in the ass."

"We will have order. Now is not the time for petty conflicts, and we have plenty of work ahead of ourselves. We will reach a convenient solution in due time. Have your bot escort you to your quarters now."

Riordan pushed himself up. "Thanks," he murmured. And then, under that amused gaze, he realized that there was something he could do to shake off that smirk. So, he took a bow. "I mean, thank you for your time, Your Majesty."

Marn only laughed. "Kanto has reported some interesting facts to Xana," he informed him. "I have just received the full report."

There was no point to ask about how. "What's that report all about? Does it concern me?"

"Yes," Marn said but added nothing.

That didn't sound good. Nope. He'd have some serious explanations to offer.

He should have told Xana everything, but they had both been so horny, and then he had been out like a light. Now, he felt a certain uneasiness at the thought of how Xana would react to all those big reveals.

He stepped into his old quarters only to find it empty. That gave him a reprieve, but then, he felt someone looming behind him. He didn't have to turn to know that Xana was there.

"Kyle, wait outside," Xana ordered the bot.

Riordan turned, forcing a carefree smile. He couldn't read Xana's face at first.

The deep green eyes set on him with a deep hunger in them. "Do you enjoy getting punished, Riordan?"

That wasn't the reaction he'd been expecting.

What the fuck?
